This is one of the most authentic Taiwanese restaurants I’ve been to! The food is delicious with high-quality ingredients and the perfect medley of subtle aromas and strong textural variety. The oyster omelette really struck a chord with its mochi-like texture and perfect sauce levels. When the owner found out I was celebrating my birthday, she brought out these macarons and it really was the cherry on top of already exemplary customer service. If you’re looking for a bite to eat and want to try something new that might become your new comfort food, the vermicelli was top tier, and this restaurant is superb.

This place is a gem. Authentic Taiwanese food with quality ingredients and terrific service. I have a sesame allergy. They did a lovely job accommodating my needs.

I’ve traveled most of the big cities in North America and being originally from Taiwan I always look for Taiwanese restaurants to try. To my surprise, this restaurant turns out to be the best and most authentic Taiwanese food I’ve had outside of Asia. The delicious food as well as the warm & attentive chef and waitress reminded me of my lovely childhood back in Taiwan. The pork feet and fried rice noodle are to die for! My husband had a stomach bug prior to visiting the restaurant and was still recovering, the waitress and chef made sure the rice noddle soup was light and easy to digest for him. And with that he still found it absolutely tasty! I seriously would consider moving to Orlando just to be close to Formosa Gardens! Thank you to the kind beauty and the young chef aunt. Your authentic Taiwanese food, considerate and meticulous service make me feel the happiness and warmth in my memories when I am homesick. ❤️ Looking forward to seeing you next time!

Absolutely wonderful food and very authentic. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Worth the drive to get there.

Tried to have lunch here and when we got there it was still closed. There was a sign on the door saying open at noon. To waste some time, we went to the grocery store few door down. Went back tot he restaurant around 11:50pm and there was no signs of any one in the restaurant preparing to open the restaurant. We left and ate somewhere else.

Unfortunately, this wasn't as good as we were hoping. It's a small restaurant located inside a small strip mall in a not so great area of town. There was also something going on with their AC when we went so they had multiple fans on. The staff were very nice, but the food was just ok. We liked the fried tofu (it's not stinky, which is what I was hoping for) and salt & pepper chicken, but everything else was a bit disappointing. Prices are reasonable. We probably won't come back.

This is probably the most authentic restaurant that serves traditional Taiwanese dishes (not just street/finger food) in the states. It's very authentic so expect the tastes to be different than your average Chinese restaurants. Each item averages $10-$13 which is slightly higher but the portion is big (and ofc tasty). But I highly recommend to get it to go as it can get quite hot in there when it's not busy :)

Good authentic Taiwanese food. I got the oyster tofu soup and fried chicken and both were great. The papaya milk was also good. Food came out really fast.

Being a Taiwanese and growing up in S. Florida with limited Taiwanese restaurant around, finding this gem in Orlando was such a treat! Totally authentic even with the lady taking orders with a Taiwanese accent! Ahh... home. 💙

Formosan Garden, formerly known as Teriyaki House, is located in the Golden Sparkling Plaza mall on West Colonial. The restaurant serves Taiwanese cuisine, and it is a gem of a place in Orlando. Taiwanese cuisine is big on fried and braised dishes. My favorite at Formosan is their Braised beef brisket with rice (combination box), beef noodle soup, and their bean curd & sliced pork. The braised beef is very tender and delicious. It goes well with their rice and noodle dishes. I can't wait to come back (been back twice) to try other dishes. Also, they cook their dishes on order, which means that everything is fresh. It can take up to 30 minutes in advance if you don't call ahead. If you have time to spare, try visiting the New Golden Sparkling supermarket as it is located a few stores down or Boba Queen for some delicious boba tea.

Very authentic Taiwanese food, beef noodles soup is awesome. If you like Taiwanese Chinese food then you have to stop here when in Orlando or Disney area
