The best prime rib and filet mignon. I haven't tried anything else yet.

Excellent prime rib, shrimp and scallops, and crab cake app. Our server Alyssa was outstanding. Best restaurant in South Jersey.

Went there last night with my wife for anniversary dinner, had to wait about 30 min after checkin to be seated but this was not unexpected as other reviewers had mentioned the same. Service was fantastic, best baked potato my wife has ever had she says, crab bisque was absolutely perfect. Wish my stomach was bigger so i could've kept eating.

Our waiter was phenomenal and made it relaxing to be there; it's somewhat fancy, so that inviting experience makes it homey. The food was really good! Our favorite was the stuffed Parm and chive potatoes. Whatever you do, get that.

Good experience for a first timer but failed to impress me based on the prices I paid.

Went with the family on a Tuesday night to celebrate my sons graduation. Everything was outstanding. Our server was excellent as was the food. The lobster tail and filet was to die for. The New York Strip is so tender and flavorful here, and tonight was no different. Cooked to a perfect medium rare it melts in your mouth. Even my hard to please 9 year old said the bacon cheeseburger was the best burger she ever had. Overall, it was an excellent experience and we will be back.

What a wonderful place to dine!!! The staff is amazing and the food is top-notch!!! Everybody makes you feel so special and we had a little private room for our party, which was really nice! There’s a reason why everybody raves about this place! Definitely go here!

Unbelievable food!! The crab cakes and filet were best we've ever had. Catelyn our server was absolutely outstanding. Never needed the Red chip, she was very attentive and professional. She is also a sweetheart. Thank you for making our first but not last dining experience wonderful.

Went to the Franklinville Inn finally for our wedding anniversary! Very pleasant! Staff were incredible and service was great! We sat upstairs outside. Very nice atmosphere on a summers evening. Although they really need a fluorescent strip light box to attract and catch flies. They were swarming our food. Food was delicious!

My last visit was great. Service was exceptional the prime rib was done to perfection and seasoned spot on. I couldn’t wait for this visit to have the PR again. My wife’s English cut looked delicious and she raved how good it was. My queen cut however was a different story. Our server Morgan, who was awesome, said my medium order would be red with some blood throughout. Perfect I thought but what I got was PR that had been microwaved room temperature and grey. Not a hint of red. I never said anything because having worked in the restaurant business I know what sometimes happens when you send food back.Everything else we had was great. The next time I’ll make sure to ask if the PR is freshly roasted or sitting in the fridge and reheated!

What an amazing gem found off the beaten path. I traveled 40 minutes to dine here and it’s worth it. From the atmosphere to the food it has everything right and nothing wrong. The menu is small and they make sure to deliver on each item. The bread was amazing, the steaks were greatly prepared they were out of the queen and king cut prime ribs but I ended up with the ribeye and it was out of this world. The apple pie was literally some of the best I’ve ever seen at any restaurant. These guys are world class. The service is something out of a movie. There’s rarely this level of care and attention. The atmosphere is something out of a mix of old Americana and 1950s American steak house. I brought my daughter who is 11 with us on this excursion and they offered the tavern menu where she had French fries and some boneless wings (which are just nuggets) both were good for her. I also ordered the French onion soup and it was one of the best I had, it was different in that the broth had more body too it instead of a pure bone/beef broth like many I’ve had before, but it was extremely flavorful. Will return one day for sure.

We eat there regularly and always have great service and food is always spot on. I’m a little disappointed they took the little mints away because the owner got tired of picking up the wrappers. Not all your guests litter.

Morgan was wonderful as a server and the food and cocktails were out of site wonderful.

Prime ribs was great but the ribeye was ok. Apple pie, mashed sweet potato, stuffed potato, soup and salad were all good+. I suggest they get new steak knife. Hard to cut steaks with the ones they have.

We ate here for our 21st anniversary. Always heard good things, but never had the pleasure. Franklinville Inn delivered in every way. The service was attentive and paced well and seemed very polished. The food was somehow better than our high expectations. We shared a Prosecco bottle which was, according to my wine expert wife spot on. Crab bisque and filet tips for appetizers. She had the house salad with a delicious tomato vinagrette, and my Caesar was also excellent. The lettuce was perfectly sized and portioned and the salads were carefully assembled. She had scallops and shrimp for main which were cooked perfectly and I had filet, which is amazingly juicy and seasoned so well. It melts in your mouth. Then came the highlight of the meal for us. Tiramisu. They make it with pound cake which we thought was interesting so we got it. Amazing! It’s a great mixture of textures and flavors and lightness it dissolves on your tongue. I never hesitate to pay the bill after an amazing dinner and this was at the top!

This place never disappoints - has the best service we’ve ever experienced (and we’ve eaten at some amazing places), incredible food and drinks, and beautiful cozy historic interior. Even though it’s a steak and seafood restaurant, there’s something on the menu for everyone. Definitely recommend making reservations, this place is always packed. (Although you can try to get into the Lounge area if 2-4 people.)

I chose to treat my mother to an early Mother’s Day dinner here, as I heard so many wonderful things through word of mouth. I made my reservation online and it was swift and easy! I was then emailed closer to our date to confirm. Walking in we were just amazed by the cozy atmosphere & the vibe of the time period they captured in each room we walked through to our table. From hostess to waitresses & every staff in between we felt so welcome and everyone was very attentive, friendly, & polite in every way. Our waitress Rebecca was extremely well mannered, attentive and made sure that each item we received was to our liking. She went above and beyond for our first visit & that spoke volumes! The food… oh the food!! We were more than happy with each meal & did not leave feeling hungry! We were extremely impressed by the cozy and quaint upstairs room we were seated in, where it was quiet & secluded from big crowds which was a major plus! We did not realize the scope of how big this restaurant was when we were led upstairs! Our alcoholic beverages were made to perfection as well! They were not too overwhelming but delicious! Overall from initial booking to dining, we are pleased we chose to dine here for Mother’s Day! We will recommend to everyone we know and we will surely be back for another meal in the future! Thank you Franklinville Inn for a wonderful experience from beginning to end! This is just what we needed!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was so comfortable. The service was right on top of things without hovering.

No one picks up the phone when you try to make reservations, we eventually went with a hold table alternative. In my opinion, the food was ridiculously expensive. $111. For a King cut prime rib. $65. For a queen, other items mid $30s Dinner for 4 cost $270. Which included 2 wines 1 Pina col. you get one side and a soup or salad. Service was good, She seemed somewhat overwhelmed with tables. But she did a nice job checking with us on anything we needed. Either way it was just dinner. Just too pricey as comparable to other nice restaurants. Also some advice pick up your phone so it doesn't ring off the hook.

The Franklinville Inn is consistantly at the top of my favorite restaurant list! Never disappoints! Always a wonderful experience for fine dining with class, with a courteous and attentive staff, and the food is the best part of the evening!

I tried to make a reservation for my daughter’s college graduation for 14 people. Her grandparents use assistive devices and can not do steps. I asked if we could have the 1st floor and was told they don’t host parties on the first floor of that size. So I asked if they accommodate disabilities. She said yes we have a ramp up to the 1st floor, so I said then we need to be on the first floor if you say you accommodate. She said but we can’t host that size, so then you can’t accommodate. I even asked if we could be split into multiple tables. I was told no. I asked if she could check with the manager and she came back and said no we can’t accommodate you on the first floor. We have been long time customers for over 20 years. I never write negative reviews, but have never been so disappointed in a restaurant. The hostess was Arlette and the manager was Maryann. I will take my business elsewhere.

Many people may disagree but I feel it's overrated. Been three times. Food is good not great. Same for the atmosphere. The service is excellent. Considering the price point, the furnishings need an update. The booths upstairs are terrible. You can literally feel the person sitting behind you. Definitely need a reservation.

I am not quite sure why this restaurant receives all of the stars that it does for its food. I had the Filet Oscar, it was cut like a hanger steak would be and placed over asparagus with lumps of crabs from a can....definitely not what I was expecting. The meat looked more like roast beef than anything and it definitely was not medium. It also just was not anything to write home about. In addition, I do not recall it stating that the steak came with asparagus, so I ordered a side of asparagus, which was $10. When the steak came out with the side order, I looked at the waitress and commented that I would not have ordered a side if I knew it came with the steak...she smiled, apologized, and did not take it away or remove it from the check. I love Tiramisu, so I ordered for dessert...but I should have KNOWN that this would NOT be good because it noted in the description of the dessert the use of POUND CAKE....and that's exactly what I got...a pound cake with tiramisu like flavor that was NOT tiramisu. The bartender was nice, the server was nice....but apart from that...I will not be back.

We had a really great time here! The service, food and atmosphere were just right! All the food and drinks we got were super impressive and our servers attention to detail and our needs were over the top. We had to book well ahead of time but it was worth it's weight in gold!

Best Boneless NY Strip I might have ever had BUT you if they offer you the Short rib Chefs soup only order that. It'll change your life and you'll want the whole pot.

I've had better steaks at outback and longhorn. Definitely a disappointment from what Ive read i don't understand the great reviews . My wife's dinner was just ok. Definitely better places out there for the same money .

The food is nothing like it use to be for sure!! Very overpriced! They use to have the best cheesesteak, they were well know all over, now it's not good at all!

Food is overpriced. The food quality is the last year has declined significantly. The chicken marsala was absolutely not worth it. I could have had the same dish at a local dinner and it would have been the same and lacking in flavor as the one I was served. The creamed spinach was awful as the flour or corn starch used in what it should have been a nice béchamel sauce could be tasted raw. Finally the tiramisu is such a fake tasteless piece of cake that it was an embarrassment. The server was excellent and the overall rating is because of the job of the server not the food.

Most egotistical, racist, notorious establishment. Tell us to call to make reservations; their phones are off and their website doesn’t work. Ironic. We walk in and lots of tables are vacant, but the darkness and hue of my skin has the manager and waiters telling us otherwise. Apparently, there isn’t room for minorities! Would never attempt to spend a dime in this establishment even if it was my only choice. I’d rather starve, than be the clown of the show. The manager even had the audacity to lead my party of 5 to the bar saying their could be seats when clearly there wasn’t even 2 seats open. They had lots of vacant seating around the place, but again our skin would say otherwise. Food is not even that good to have an establishment feeling like they could start acting like this. Wish 0 stars was an option. 👎

It was our first time visiting the Franklinville Inn, and everything was superb. Top notch service by Micheal, he was very polite and professional. Very strong cocktails. The bread was delicious. The side salads were enormous! I got the filet with a crabcake, the filet was so tender and full of flavor. The crabcake was excellent topped with the sauce. My fiancee got the filet tips oscar, he enjoyed every bite. We will definitely be returning customers!

By far the worst dinner of my life. Got the 14oz Ribeye, 12oz nothing but fat & the 2oz was like raw raw. GF got the Salmon with green beans, felt ill all night! Fries were good. The atmosphere was good, pianist was great. Only reason they got a 1

The service is absolutely fantastic at this restaurant they pay attention to every detail. It’s not something that you find easily these days in restaurants. My husband and I both had the filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection. We will be going back to celebrate special occasions in the future.

We just had our 3rd visit to Franklinville Inn. We love it! We brought our teenage daughters this trip. They weren’t thrilled with the appetizer choices. No worries! They brought us the menu from the bar (we were in a booth on the 2nd floor) and they were happy to have boneless wings. I didn’t know you could order off the bar menu outside of the bar. Learn something knew every day. I get the wedge salad. It’s enough for (2) people. It’s covered in bacon. So good. Then I get the teriyaki char tips as a dinner… MY FAVORITE! So yummy! You can get it as an appetizer as well if you like. My family had the Caesar salad and said it was THE BEST! They also got steak and ribs… but were too full to eat it. We ordered dessert anyway since it was my birthday…

Always great food! Only wish they brought the crab Dijon back!

Luckily we were able to quickly get 2 seats in the lounge at 630 pm on a Saturday night! It was very busy! Branden was our server and he managed everything well considering the load! Filet tip Oscar and crab cakes with house salad and baked potato were delish! Martinis were delish! Price is a little steep so we don't go as much as I'd like but it was a great night!

Really good food, the steaks were perfect. Service was awesome, a little pricey but we knew that going there and it was worth it!!

Heard a lot of great things and was so excited to try this place! We made reservations a month in advance for an early NYE dinner. We ended up having to bring our 1 year old but we’re disappointed to find out they have no high chairs or booster seats for kids. I’m not going to give them less than 5 stars and ruin their good reviews, but if they do not want children in their restaurant this is something they should consider advertising so people like myself can go without their children. So heads up for anyone planning on going…. leave your kids home because they will not be accommodated!

The stuffed shrimp is like crabcakes and shrimp! Real jumbo lump. They are famous for the steaks, but the ribs are a favorite too! Leave room for perfectly executed dessert too! Feels like a step back in time, better food, relaxing atmosphere. . .

I used to live just 5 mins away from this place when I was in my 20’s. Wish I knew about it then. My wife went recently and it was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Service was outstanding and food was incredible. I had the ribeye. My wife had the filet with lobster. It’s been some time since I’ve had a steak this good. We also shared a bottle of wine and I had a 2oz pour of EH Taylor bourbon - both very reasonably priced.

This was always the spot for crab cakes, still is. However we were relegated to the bar at 1630 on a Thursday, no dining room tables available. The salad has changed, ( not for the better), and our poor waiter served the whole bar himself, hence service was lacking. By the time I received salt for my filet, it was cold. My better half had the chicken Marsala and she liked it, I would just stick with broiled crab cakes and definitely a reservation if there’s a next time. My daughter and her husband shared their disappointment too, however the place is pretty busy, perhaps I’m wrong or a snob, IDK.

The restaurant opened at 4, and people were waiting at the door. We didn't have reservations, so we sat in the lounge, and it was really nice. Had a great dinner.

I started out the crab bisque that was out of this world. My entree was the queen cut prime rib. It was a perfectly cooked, rosy pink interior, with juices flowing and an enticing aroma filling the air. Each bite was tender, succulent, and full of robust beef flavor. The marbling of fat throughout the meat added richness and depth to every mouthful. It was great! This sides of sherry mushrooms which were a delicious and savory dish combining the earthy flavors of mushrooms with the distinct sweetness and nuttiness of sherry wine and mashed sweet potatoes with cinnamon sugar butter were perfect compliment to the meal. Highly recommend a meal here.

Amazing first time here, regret not coming sooner , queen cut prime rib was incredibly large, I couldn't even eat half. Bourbon selection was nice. Highly recommend the franklinville inn!

Always a good meal, always tough to get a reservation quickly

We have been wanting to try The Franklinville Inn for a while. We’ve passed it driving several times and have heard all good things about it. The restaurant did not disappoint. From the food and service to the drinks and atmosphere. The experience was delightful and the food amazing. I recommend reservations, we did not have any but were able to sit in the lounge/bar area which worked out perfectly. It is by far the best I have had in a long time. The meal is preceded by house made bread and it’s warm and crusty just like a dinner bread should be. I had the teriyaki filet mignon tips with a salad and blue cheese dressing. My side was mashed sweet potatoes. My significant other had the ribeye with a side of baked potato and sherried mushrooms. My guy is a finicky eater and he said everything was delicious. I helped him with the mushrooms and they were to die for. I had their chocolate martini and it was made classically with a little surprise chocolate melt at the bottom. A nice dinner or dessert addition. We were full and did not try the dessert but did take one home. I expect it to be on par with the rest of the meal. Definitely a place you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend this little gem.

Exceptional crab cakes. Very good steaks. The bread service is excellent as well. Nice range of sides...pretty standard stuff... you are probably not going to find something on the menu that you have never had but generally well executed. If I'm nitpicking the steaks can be a tad oversalted sometimes and we have had the occasional error in how well the steaks were cooked but in general they are very reliable. We probably average visiting once per month. Staff always attentive and helpful.

Been here several times and always been great. Not this time. Service was great but the NY strip was so salty, I couldn’t taste anything else. Hopefully this was a slip by the cook but definitely shouldn’t have seen a plate.

Food would have been better if it had been hot. We were looking forward to going since we had heard so much about it. After this experience, we are guessing one and done.
