By far the best Italian food I’ve had and we eat all over the country . There take on bruschetta and artichoke dip are ridiculously good and the seafood lasagna off the chart . Even the bread was great . And don’t leave without trying the tiramisu.

Good was great. Staff was very nice and attentive. So far the best Italian food in Jackson ridgeland area. I will be back. Canneloni was great. Sauces were authentic.

The food was good. When dining in doors, be aware that the lighting is not ideal for pictures and/ or videos. It's very dark and hard to capture a decent picture. The service could improve, especially on customer service itself. Our waitress wasn't very knowledgeable about the dishes served or prepared on recommendations for anything we had questions about as this was mine and my flt crew's first visit during one of our many layovers in the area. On the plus side, we were served fresh bread upon being seated. I ordered the chicken tortellini soup. Unfortunately, there was no flavor, and it was luke warm, almost cold. I then ordered a side of grilled mushrooms from the appetizer options. It wasn't what I was expecting or hoped for. I then ordered the seafood lasagna. Again, unfortunately, the seafood lasagna was nothing I was expecting. It too lacked flavor, especially w/ the seafood elements. However, my CA, FO, and the FO's friend who joined us ordered the fettuccini chicken alfredo. It looked delicious, and I wanted to take a bite. With all that said, please don't jus go off from my experience and miss out on your own. If you're in the mood for some tiramisu, I can definitely recommend ordering a serving.

Best pasta in town. The inside is very rustic, maybe not nice enough for a business dinner but great for everything else.

I'm a restaurant owner that LOVE to dine at Fratesi's. I have no idea why the overall rating is NOT a 5 star 🤔. They have plenty of parking, comfy atmosphere, excellent staff and the food is definitely cooked with L❤️VE. For those that don't know, the best food is always served at a "Mom & Pop" spot. To the owner, Keep up the good work... I rate your establishment "5 ⭐️'s".....

The service was fine. However the minute you enter the restaurant it has like a stale old smell to it. I wasn’t a fan. The food was also awful especially for the price. With how much they charge for their food you would think the food would be made better. I can get better at Olive Garden. Two of my family ordered lasagna and it was cold in the middle. So obviously reheated. I ordered the Chicken Marsala and it was so salty, it was basically inedible. The chicken was salty and the sauce was salty. The noodles were also overcooked. I also wasn’t a fan of the bread, but that might be personal preference. I couldn’t eat my meal so I just didn’t eat anything else from that place. The bad reviews here were right about this place.

That pasta salad is to die for.

There was a respectful variety of dishes. Our waitstaff was engaging and a delight. I'd place this solidly in the "comfort food" category. The singular meatball had me at first bite even as the spagetti sauce was on the OK level.

I went to eat here with trepidation, since many of the reviews were rough, but I was pleasantly surprised. There’s nothing fancy about the restaurant, but food was hot and delicious, and there were no loud people (that’s always been a pet peeve of mine in Ridgeland/Jackson). Service was good and the place looks like an old fashioned Italian restaurant like you’d see in an old movie. Again, the place is rustic and could use a few updates, but it is a good little place for authentic Italian food.

This is not a fancy place at all, but the food was excellent, the service was good, and there were no loud patrons. We had a nice dinner with wine, and we were treated well. There were bad reviews, but I wanted to try the place myself, and I’m glad I did.

I think the house salad lettuce drowned in the swimming pool of Italian dressing. It was a horrible house salad. This is no joke. The White Baked Ziti sauce was like reheated sauce. The cream sauce was separated and oily, with no creamy texture. Service was great, atmosphere was great but the food was DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE PRICE.

First time to restaurant, will not return for another try. Restaurant too dark. Waiter explained some of the specialties of restaurant and nightly off menu specials. My wife and I decided to share a Caesar Salad, dressing was good but salad was swimming in dressing. My wife ordered a three cheese pizza and pizza dough was not fully cooked, sent back and the kitchen must have put it under a broiler, cheese was over browned making the pizza inedible, the dough was still raw in the middle. We replaced with the lasagna which we took home. I ordered the shrimp scampi, there was a lot of angel served with dish with 6-7 shrimp. The flavor was fine.

Don't judge the book by the cover. Cozy, great service (Sam), and the food is SCRUMPTIOUS. A must try is the grilled mushrooms with marinara sauce and French bread 😳...

Had party of seven tonight. Food was warm not hot as should be. People were very nice. Food was fair. Bill was very high. I was disappointed and would not go back.

Have eaten there on many occasions. The food is great, however they were not welcoming at all during the last visit. The workers were playing behind the counter the whole time.

I have always loved Fratesi's - it's been our go to for years. Tonight was disappointing, especially when my complaint to a manager was "ok".....not "I'm sorry". No apology for a less than mediocre meal with what appeared to be frozen and reheated ingredients. One of the things I've always loved about this place was the fresh rich ingredients. My other favorite thing was the lady who cared about your experience. I'm sad because something has definitely changed since our last visit in March.

I really hate to make bad reviews but I just can’t let this go… first off our waiter was FANTASTIC but as for the food… I was highly disappointed to say the least. We had the garlic bread and red sauce for an appetizer, it was a plain bread with marinara sauce. We get a two house salads and it’s nothing but a huge bed of diced olives, we end up having to send the salads back but we’re still charged for them….We keep our heads up and my husband got a steak $38 nothing but fat and they carry not one kind of any steak sauce. My son gets a cheese pizza, it’s HARD French bread with a sloppy slap of marinara and half melted cheese on it. My son is not a picky eater by far and he wouldn’t touch it after two bites, another waste of $5. I had the Alfredo no meat for $15. It was okay after putting a ton of pepper and parmesan on it but the big kicker was EVERYTHING was COLD! I had my Alfredo heated up to be able to take a couple bites and we boxed the rest up to try to take home and do something with. Overall ended up going through a drive through after spending $87 on food that wasn’t ate plus a generous tip for our wonderful waiter who is the only reason we stayed and didn’t fully complain while in the restaurant. This was my first job ever!! I was a bus boy over 20 years ago! I can’t remember anyone’s name but was treated well, this is the place where I was introduced to authentic Italian recipes. Like I said over 20 years ago and I’m still trying to mimic the seafood lasagna recipe from back then at my home ,,but for the life of me I can’t get it right. BEWARE! We caught the bartender putting cheap wine into our empty, expensive wine bottle! We were celebrating my wife's birthday with two others and ordered a second bottle of La Crema at dinner.
