Really unique experience. No menu, everyone gets served at the same time. The food was great the wine was better.:) They have live music after dinner. It all takes place over looking some of their vineyards.

We were out for random wine tasting. Only our second stop, and this place was the best place. No other place could stand up the level of tasting knowledge . The wine is above standard. You won’t regret the drive.,,,,,The owners made us feel welcome the moment we walked in the door.

Don't miss getting to this winery if you're in the area. We visited about a dozen nearby and this was our favorite by far! We are sweet wine drinkers and were not disappointed. The slushies were probably the best we've had anywhere. Sitting on the deck overlooking the vineyard was beautiful. Staff and owners were very friendly. We stumbled upon their "cook your own steak" Nite when we arrived for a tasting but it was already sold out so check them out on Facebook for a "calendar of events" as their website doesn't list anything coming up.

Inspiration is my favorite wine! The deck is beautiful and the owners are always so nice. If in the area, you must stop in. The dogs are a plus 🤎 You can order snacks and sit on the deck over looking the grapes while you enjoy some wine. The cabins are beautiful inside. Lovely place.

First time visit. My husband and I had such an amazing time. I definitely recommend and will be back for sure!

I went to French Ridge a few days ago, and it easily is now one of my favorite places in the entire state of Ohio. It's charming and full of history, and the owners are so knowledgeable and friendly – I could have talked with Scott for hours and never would have gotten bored. I can't wait to go back many more times. Also, the lemon wine is the best thing I've ever tasted, and it was made from 100 percent real lemons (not fake flavorings). Couldn't recommend enough.

I called Scott out of the blue based on a light pollution map because I’m an amatuer astrophographer. I can’t even begin to tell ya how nice of a guy he was. He even gave me a tour of the winery @ 9:30 at night! Based on their generousity alone, I’ll be back and will prolly stay in a cabin. I totally felt safe and they were so accommodating. Absolutely my favorite place! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff is attentive and fun. Truly outstanding hospitality! The wine is wonderful. Definitely something for every taste! I could not recommend French Ridge Vineyards highly enough. Truly a hidden Holmes County gem!

We have been coming to this winery for YEARS! It’s kid friendly, family friendly, but also can be for a romantic night out (cabins to rent). The food is just out of this world, pizza is sent from heaven!!!! The wine is delicious, there is a flavor and palate for everyone. The owners are so kind, personable and hard working. They will sit with you and genuinely want to get to know you! If you’re looking for a night away from the kids or even a family event, this winery is so so so so worth the drive from wherever you are. P.S. BUZZ THE DOG IS A SHOW STOPPER.

Our visit was amazing!! It was filled with delicious wine and beautiful scenery!!! We had the pleasure of staying in one of the cabins. These cabins were the best!! The electric indoor fireplace was charming, warming and welcoming, the Kitchenette had everything you would need with a microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker(with coffee, filters, cream and sugar and a mini fridge/ freezer!! Plenty of cooking tools, dish clothes, Dawn soap, paper towels and foil. Full set of towels in the bathroom. Of course plates, bowls and silverware!! The main building has a wine tasting bar where you can taste a variety of homegrown/homemade wines that are full of flavor!! The people behind the wine bar are so helpful and very knowledgeable of all the wines they serve!!! They are great at recommending pairings with each of the wines! The wines are full bodied with great aroma and color as well as excellent mouth appeal!! These wines are better than most commercially made wines!! There is also a dining area where you can get pizza and a variety of charcuterie boards to go with the various wines they offer!! Every Saturday a luscious meal is served with large portions for a great price!! Every Saturday is a different offering!! We were there for the Maine Lobster!! OMG!! This was the best fresh served lobster I’ve ever had!! The owners, Scott and Kathy, are very willing to share their journey that led them to owning the vineyard. They are so friendly, outgoing and welcoming! They also share with everyone their St. Bernard dog named “Buzz”!! He adds such a homey touch! He loves attention and is super friendly!! We also walked the grounds during a beautiful sunny day!! The grounds are spacious, quiet and so much nature present to enjoy and relax in!! So if you want a relaxing getaway filled with country charm, breathtaking scenery, tranquil laid back environment, friendly knowledgeable people, a variety of wine wine and wine!! This is the place for you! 5 stars just isn’t enough!!

This place is amazing. The family that owns and operates, Scott and Kathy, are golden. The pizza, chatcuterie plates and the Saturday special dinners were fantastic. The cabins are beautiful and well furnished. The breath-taking scenery also gets my ‘thumbs-up’. Thank you very much for the great time.

Beautiful winery with a great covered deck overlooking views of the vineyard. Highly recommend if you are looking for a place to relax, enjoy good wine, snacks and music. Watching the hummingbirds and visiting the resident dogs was a bonus!

This is in a beautiful setting overlooking the vineyards. Casual with great food. The owner is very nice. My only suggestion would be to offer coffee, tea, or juice for designated drivers.

The atmosphere was great, they have heaters for the outside space making it very cozy. Dinner tasted amazing, not entirely what I expected from the description, but very good indeed. Now for the wine, we did some samples before we chose a bottle to share, picked the blueberry first which paired well with our dinner. It has a sweet subtle taste of the blueberry, loved it! Then we did a bottle of the lemonade wine, I think I would have preferred that more on a summers eve. Did a sample of the Frost, by far my favorite, took two bottles home. Beautiful property, the vines are all over the property and I'm sure it would look even more amazing when in full bloom! We noticed that they have cozy cabins on the property. And they had a couple anniversarys the night we were there and the one couple had actually been married on the property by the owner. The owners! So friendly and welcoming made you feel as though you were coming to their house to visit for the evening. Highly recommend! Oh and the bonus, the ever so friendly and fluffy saint Bernard that wanders around the place!!!

1 of 3 wineries we visited and I have to say the ambiance was great. My husband and I both did a wine tasting, he picked sweet and I picked dry but we sampled each others. The owners are amazing, they made their rounds and spoke to everyone like we were family. Buzz, the st. Bernard, was so cute and I wanted to take him home. The wine was amazing, we will definitely be back to experience it again.

Great selection of wines from dry to sweet to please any palate! Beautiful setting overlooking the vineyard. Always have had good food but what we really love is the Atmosphere! They treat you like family. Our favorite place to spend any evening!

Went with friends, had a great time sitting around large round table on large covered deck overlooking the vineyards. We were able to sample wines at bar before deciding what bottle we wanted for our table. They were serving lemon fro-jito's made with their lemon wine on the day we went and they were divine! We also shared glasses of wine amongst ourselves from the bottles our group purchased. French Ridge re-corked leftovers for us to bring home. Very low-key, relaxing environment. I would have liked a tour of vineyards / operations but didn't see any advertising for that opportunity - maybe I missed it, we had a great time nonetheless!

Very beautiful, the owners were very personable, we actually met a couple that love only about 45 minutes from us and had a very nice conversation.

Heck yeah! French Ridge is one of the best Vineyards I've ever been to. Im not old enough to drink, but, my parents are, and French ridge has their favorite wine. The staff is very friendly, never had a bad experience.

Absolutely beautiful location.. Amazing & friendly staff, great wine selections & most importantly.. dogs! I came on a Saturday night & while it was very hot outside, the wine was chilled & company was fantastic! The man I assume to be the owner was friendly as can be, was telling us history of the vineyard along with history of the surrounding areas, & the kind woman working behind the counter had endless knowledge about the wine selections & what would best fit each persons preference! Overall, fantastic experience & the view is unbeatable!

When we arrived we met with Scott for our Tasting. He can't count, we were suppose to taste 6 wines and we did 9. Not complaining, we had a Great time. You must try the Lemon Frojito, they are fantastic and I'm not a Wine Drinker! We went out sat on the Deck for Pizza after the Tasing was over. Did I mention we drank another bottle of Lemon Wine freshening up the Frojitos Scott kept making for us. Long story short, Great place with Great Wine and Pizza is a Hit as well! You will not be disappointed!!

Husband/wife team running a vineyard and a winery. Wines are good, all locally produced except one. Would recommend staying in the cabins. They are cozy. The only complaint was the odor of the water. It has a seemingly high sulfur content. The owner is l knowledgeable and friendly. Took time to share and speak about each of his wines. Good experience.

Awesome place to stay. We rented one of the cabins and stayed for two nights. If your looking for a place to spend away from all the noise try a cabin for a night. I promise, you will enjoy every minute! The owners are some of the best people. We just say and chatted for a bit like old friends yet we just met. You got to try the pizza while you are there. We will be going back this summer and fall!

They say... at the end of a a winding road, you will find your treasure. The same is true for French Ridge Vineyards and Winery. A place of peace, good company and an awesome bottle of wine.

Definitely worth the visit!!! A wonderful selection of great tasting wines, cabins are very nice, and the atmosphere is relaxed. Scott and Kathy are very friendly and make for good conversation. Oh and the pizza is very tasty too! My wife and I will certainly visit again!

The couple that own the place were extremely nice and welcoming. They even taught us a little about the wine making process. The dog is so cute as well! Will definitely be back!

My husband took me on an "escape" weekend which included wine tasting at French Ridge Vineyards. The owners were very personable. They never made assumptions that you knew about wine and they were happy to talk about their process and their vineyards with you. The wine is amazing and the prices are comparable to other wineries.

Very nice winery! On your first visit the owners have you sit down at the counter and try a great selection of their wines based on your taste. The wine selection is great and unique. The winery has a fantastic back deck overlooking the vineyard. If you're in the area I would highly recommend stopping in! This is a country gem.
