A small cafe next to the lake, promenade and botanical garden

Cute little place to eat that is close to Barnett park. Food was yummy and the servers were very kind and attentive. They even had a kids menu (isn't advertised but we asked) which our kiddos loved the grilled cheese.

My wife and I were visiting Lakeland and were pleasently surprised about this place. We were following the signs to the entrance and though it was odd to have to walk around the building but boy, once you walk around the corner you realize why. The location is perfect. Cute and cozy atmosphere. Friendly staff. Beautiful views of the lake. Service was not as timely as we would have liked but as long as we had bottomless mimosas we didn't care much. Food was fresh and tasty but I got the impression they don't have a full kitchen (no fries, etc.). More like a light lunch kinda place. Overall, it was the perfect place for a Saturday brunch and walk. The garden next to it is beautiful.

We decided to stop in for lunch and we will definitely be back! We had the best time, with the atmosphere of dinning on the patio being vibrant and welcoming with the lake and gardens all around. The service was amazing as everyone was extremely kind and friendly. The food was outstanding! I can’t wait to go back and get the Lake Mirror sandwich again along with the BLT!

This place, especially at the price, is great! Had a chicken ceaser salad that was as good, if not better, than some I have paid twice the price for in Dallas or Boston. Also ordered a lobster roll to go, again at a really great price, and will update on how that was later. Highly recommend this place for lunch/brunch. Edit: The lobster roll was good, not over the top amazing, but way better than the cost would suggest. I have nothing bad to say about this place... Full on recommend status.

I work for Lake Mirror and decided to stop by the Bistro today. The Smoked Salmon BLT is incredible, the 4 Bean Salad is also very good!!! Service was fast and all around a pleasant experience!! 10/10 recommend

Stopped in here after a visit to the Polk Art Museum. We were greeted and seated with a smile. You can sit outside or in. The menu was perfect, not too big with a nice variety of options. I had the Bistro Burger and it was surprisingly delicious. I highly recommend stopping in for lunch next time your walking through Hollis Garden.

So disappointed....service was non-existent, portions and quality have declined, and the Bistro was untidy/smelled like a sour dishcloth.

What a treat! Food was delicious! Go and try their Miami Cuban, it was so so Yummy! Their service was very professional and friendly. Prices are very good so take the whole family out! The Garden's landscape was very beautiful and well layout. So much to see and so many native floridian plants and flowers. The koy fish pond was delightful to look at. That view from the Cafe was just the perfect spot to enjoy a great meal by the Lake. This is a hidden gem. What an experience! Well recommended for the whole family.

I love garden Bistro! Located right next to lake mirror and Hollis garden. The food is always very fresh, and the staff always friendly and accommodating. One of my personal favorites is the quiche! Simply delicious! I will be stopping in today for lunch, and I am looking forward to enjoying the beautiful view, fantastic food, and lovely staff.

The food is excellent. We had the Russian Chicken Wrap and the Wild Scott Turkey sandwich. Both were amazing!!! The service was good and the atmosphere was beautiful since it is on Lake Mirror. Definitely recommend!!!

Lovely lake view patio seating. Enjoyed the Lobster salad on greens (pleased that the lobster salad is very lightly dressed) and Santa Fe Pumpkin soup. I arrived 15 minutes before closing and everyone was very nice. I wish they had a whole grain bread section for the sandwiches.

One of the best, if not THE best breakfast I have ever had in my life. The view is a topic aside. Meghan was our sweet server and made sure we had the best service as well. Will come back for more.

Lots of options for dessert with many types of cakes on display under the glass domes. Service is good and prices are reasonable. It's a nice, quiet, relaxing hideaway.

This is definitely a must go to if traveling near Lakeland, FL early in the day because sadly it's not open for dinner. Having said that, the staff is wonderful, service, cleanliness is on point. The food isn't fancy but well put together and delicious in my opinion. Kind of a soup, sandwich and dessert place. They serve brunch on weekends and they have outdoor seating which is a huge plus during these times. The bistro is located next to Hollis Gardens which is a must see, free garden and across from a quaint lake and grounds with swans and other water fowl to watch. First time here and last time. Barely got to sit and the server was very off putting from the get go. We asked for coffee with milk, so they bring us the little half and half cups. This place is located right next to the Hollis garden and overlooks the lake. They have both indoor seating as well as outdoor, Prices are decent. We both ordered the special of the day which was lobster salad/roll. I got the salad and hubby got the roll. When we asked the server if it was real lobster, she said it was 1/2 and 1/2 but when we got the salad, you could tell the that obviously wasn't true. My husband didn't care for it (the fake lobster meat) but I thought it was quite tasty. The other food on the menu looked good and I would go back to try something else if ever we were in the area again.

This restaurant is in a lovely setting with a lake view and nearby rose gardens. Outside seating is available. The service is friendly, timely and attentive. And the food is great! We both had the smoke salmon BLT on our first visit, and it is remarkable for its fresh crusty bread and especially delicious bacon, 3 thick slices. On our second visit, two days later, I repeated the smoked salmon BLT, and my husband had their version of a Cuban sandwich, called a "Miami," and said it was perfect. We also split a huge slice of their lemon layer cake drizzled with raspberry sauce and topped with lemon frosting. They sell out of their desserts, so it's wise to order with your meal to reserve your serving!
