The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that every detail is just right. The sushi itself is fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Their specialty rolls are creative and packed with flavor, and the nigiri melts in your mouth. The portions are generous, and you can really tell they use high-quality ingredients. Whether you’re a sushi lover or just exploring, Gen Sushi has something for everyone. The prices are reasonable for the quality you get, and I always leave feeling satisfied. Highly recommend this gem in Battle Ground!

It all started with a generous welcome by the vivacious Sienna as she presented us with a water carafe, glasses, 2 serving dishes, cutlery, napkins with menus, menu order slip and a smile! We ordered 2 Miso soups, California Roll, Goyzyo pork rolls, Calamari, Egg rolls! We sat at the last table next to where the chefs & staff were having lunch! After our meal Shania asked if we were too full to try a sample of an off the menu leg of pork with peanuts, their recipe, YYUUMMM and TENDER!! WOW will always sit in the same spot whenever possible!! Always asked " How was your meal " by the staff! Staffed by Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Koreans; the preparation, service, presentation and atmosphere confirm this! Friendly, Proud and Engaging Asians exemplify the cultural atmosphere and flavors of Genki Sushi and Battle Ground WA is truly blessed to have such an Authentic and Amazing experience on hand _ Easy Access! Selection of Sake, wine ,beer and NA beverages are available! There is a tranquil & covered outdoor patio with playground equipment for children and a landscaped garden beyond! Stick with the JAPANESE appetizers and sushi rolls and you'll love it!! Skip the Chinese fried noodle and rice dishes and go to Chinese restaurant instead! I had to downgrade from 5* to 4* All previous comments regarding sushi remain the same!

Excellent sushi, friendly service at a fair price -in Battle Ground. Although Battle Ground is probably the last place you would think to go to for great sushi, you should think again. Great selection, well-prepared and friendly service make this our go-to spot for sushi. Highly recommended!

Best sushi restaurant experience I’ve ever had in America!!! Very friendly, welcoming, homey feeling. Great food, a neat outdoor seating area. There were GOATS feeding in the distance, 25 on the other side of the fence for 2 weeks. CUTE. Wow, highly recommend, the owner and all staff were so down to earth. If you want to leave a place feeling wholesome, go here. Your soul will fly. Every restaurant with every owner and every staff should all operate the way this restaurant does. WOW!

Really awesome place and all the waitstaff are so warm and friendly. Someone even gave us each a tea egg to sample! Most importantly the fish was so fresh compared to what I am used to in Southern California - definitely recommend the tuna salad app and the chirashi bowl. Rainbow roll was fine. My fav has to be the creamy scallop nigiri (2 pieces for only $5!) but I’m partial to scallops

Great food, huge pieces for the price! Probably the best sushi rice I have ever had! Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. Forget the other sushi place in battle ground, this is my go to place! Service is quick! Will definitely be back!

I was feeling particularly indecisive today, so Alex (our server) suggested a surprise roll. He asked if I was allergic to anything, had favourites, or dislikes, and then came up with a combination that did not disappoint!

This place continues to amaze me in every way. The food is beyond amazing, the staff are all so kind hearted and the atmosphere is so peaceful. My 12 month old made quite a mess eating and my husband started cleaning it, it was too much to leave behind for someone else to pick up and they wouldn’t let him finish and insisted they do it. This place is so family friendly for all ages and it always feels like the staff are one big family as well. I will continue coming here as long as they are open.

I've worked in restaurants for over 25 years. This place is legit. The owner is a big part of the magic. His immediate warm greeting, frequent table touches, heartfelt thank you and good bye. This place is great, it’s my 3rd time here and the food is amazing. Service is very fast and the staff are always ready to help. This is now going to be my Go to spot! Did I mention we showed up at 8pm last night and were all done by 8:30. Very fast service!

This is our second time coming to gen and again they do not disappoint. We got the dragon,ninja, Godzilla,gen rolls and wow just wow. The flavors are outstanding. The differences in the rolls flavors are truly delightful. The atmosphere is so nice and relaxing. A truly great spot to spend an anniversary. We really do not think there is a better sushi spot in or near Clark county.

My first impression of this place was that I really liked everything from the first step I entered this place! The service and the staff were very welcoming and polite! Food was amazing and it’s kid friendly place for outside seating!

Really good sushi. My wife and I had a great time here. Their outdoor seating is really nice. The service was stellar and it was the shortest wait for sushi I’ve ever had. We were a little uncomfortable as the manager seemed to be harping on our waiter loud enough for all the patrons to hear. The first time it happened, I excused it as just standard training, but the second time made me think that maybe the manager was being a little inconsiderate or even rude to our waiter. I can appreciate coaching but I think a little more tact is called for in a situation like that. It’s true that people want good service but not at the expense of the respect of a server.

Everything was amazing.. the time was great the care was great but don’t order the uni… the uni isn’t fresh… I tried using ANYTHING… to make it good… not fresh at all lol it’s bad but EVERYTHING else is amazing!!! And the staff is phenomenal

This is the best Sushi in Clark County, not just Battle Ground. The best part of this place, outside of the awesome service we experience every time we’re there, is the consistency of every dish. We frequent this place 1-2 times a month for the last year, the consistency of each roll and dish sets this place above other sushi places in my opinion. The staff are so attentive and respectful, and they all go about their business as if they were the owner! The owner is just a fantastic individual who is kind, caring, and always a great time to talk to.

I've gone here with friends and family, but this time by myself, and every time has been an amazing experience, from the friendly staff and owner! On this particular day, they had a free deep fried yam to try, and it was great. For the pricing and quality compared to other places in town and in Vancouver, it's outstandingly good, from the ingredients, to the taste, it's all amazing. If you're either new in BattleGround or visiting, or even new to Sushi, give this place a try!

I love Gen, its been a go to hotspot for my friends and I, to just hang and enjoy good food, good company. I love the staff, their attitudes are so lighthearted and pleasant, and their own personalities shine through. The sushi is amazing, having this place 5 minutes from my house is dangerous for my paycheck 😆 that being said, for being a quality sushi place, they are very reasonable. All in all Im proud, to be able to say Gen sushi is in my little town. And I hope I get the privilege to enjoy them for many occasions to come.

Atmosphere is great and that's the least of it. The food is delicious. Good quality, very tasty. I think the biggest draw should be the owner and staff who are very welcoming. We ordered a number of rolls and nigiri and while we were waiting the personable owner brought out tempura salmon which was a meal in itself... On the house. Before we left, he mentioned he was experimenting with Japanese curry, so he brought out a bowl for our table and a neighboring table as well to try. Really one of the nicest if not the best dining experience in Battle Ground.

Hands down THE five star restaurant of Battle Ground. In fact, the best Sushi experience in the greater Vancouver area. House made wasabi and red sauce, daily specials, and periodic chef surprises (amazing off menu ideas) make this place fun! Sense of humor, a staff that is engaged. Beats Northwood and Barrel Mountain! A must visit!

After transplanting from elsewhere we have failed to find somewhere as close as this place for sushi that checked all of our boxes and hooray yesterday was the day! From the delicious food to the heartfelt service we will be back, full stop! The food is fresh and perfectly seasoned; Everything was! There’s nothing more disappointing than going to a place that doesn’t have their seasoning in check. Like having a succulent plate of ribs with a side of useless coleslaw. This is not that place! Down to the sauces they served everything was seasoned wonderfully. Our waiter and the obvious owner (due to the adorable family pics) were so sweet and beyond attentive! Let’s also not forget as we are walking out with our togo goodies, too full to ingest even air at this point, the owner stopped to put a delicious looking salmon collar in our box before sending us on our way, just cause! Be still my heart! Said collar has since been reheated in my air fryer and promptly inhaled, delish! Can’t wait to go back!

This is our go-to sushi spot. The staff is amazing, attentive and always make us feel very welcome. The food is fabulous (everything on the menu is great!) and we always leave satisfied. Our favorite rolls are the green dragon and Godzilla. Bon appetite!

Couldn’t pass up a 5 star sushi restaurant on Google. Now I know why they have 5 stars. Sushi rolls and hand roll were fresh and delicious. Wasabi was just the right amount of spicy. But the best part was you could see the passion in the owner Eddie. He came out with a tempura “elephant ear” aka sweet potato for the patrons to try and was chatting me and others up. Guess I will have to find another excuse to come to Battleground again!

Best sushi we’ve had!! We are visiting from out of town and wanted to try someplace new. Which is always a risk. But this place did not disappoint! The staff was all SO FRIENDLY! The sushi was very moist and fresh! The Philly roll was our favorite, the salmon has a smoky flavor to it, so good! We also go the house roll and tiger roll, I believe. We will be back. Highly recommend!! Miso soup was also very good. And prices are very fair!

We were rushed. Not as in we dawdled, nor were we the last table to leave; and no, there was not a line of people waiting to be seated. But for some reason the waitresses decided to provide us with hyper-express service and did everything she could to speed things up, just short of shoving us out the door. It made for an uncomfortable environment, frustration, and heartburn. As for the food, it was fine.

Our favorite place to go for Japanese food. Haven’t had anything we don’t like. The fried calamari is the best we ever had. All the sushi rolls and sashimi are excellent. Friendly and knowledgeable owner Eddie treats every customer like his own family. Lunch specials are also amazing and affordable between $13-$15 for a very good meal.

Being a Japanese American Veteran who loves sushi, I had to give this establishment a go based on all the rave reviews. So glad I did! The lunch combo was just under $20 with tax and tip. Not bad for quality sushi. It comes with miso soup, a classic roll and 1 nigiri and was just right for lunch. I saw the non-sushi noodle dishes come out and they looked really good!! Will have to try those next time. The location is tucked into a strip of stores right off Main St and the 503 in Battle Ground. Enough parking. There's only 7 tables and a patio area for kids to play. Service was pleasant and attentive. But most importantly, the sushi tasted fresh and made with love. Will be back!

4th time here this place gets more & more enjoyable every time i go! the food is excellent and for what you get, the prices are great! eddie & the entire staff are super friendly and you can tell they genuinely care about your experience and treat you like family! last time i came i got calamari for free just because i was waiting and this time eddie gave me some ice cream completely complimentary just because! family owned, completely professional, amazing food & just an overall phenomenal experience!

Never write reviews about places, but gen sushi is special. Always a go to, and the staff has always been nothing but amazing. Several times while dining I’ve been offered free samples of things that sometimes aren’t even on the menu. Such a great experience, 10/10

Great new spot for sushi. Very friendly and outgoing staff that really do their best to make you feel appreciated. Got my food very quickly, and it was good sushi. Price was comparable to many other sushi places I have seen. They have lots of booth seating and a happy and cozy atmosphere. I ordered a bit more food than I actually needed, but have a lot of leftovers to take home!

Amazing food and service was the best I’ve ever had

I had a friend recommend this place and it did not disappoint. We got two rolls (Lion King and Crunchy Salmon), calamari, and boa. Everything was extremely fresh, delicious, and the presentation was well done. It was busy but we didn’t have to wait long and busy is for sure a good sign. You should check this place out. Highly recommend!
