Wow!! By far the best sushi in Lancaster!! Had the Black Pearl which was amazing so many flavors!! Hubby had the Spanish Dynamite and the Momiji excellent if you like spicy!! Excellent service!! You will love it!!

This has been my new favorite place to eat! They keep it very clean there. The service, it's excellent.Everyone is very friendly and the food is exceptional!

Ignore the negative reviews!! This place is awesome and the staff goes above and beyond to give you great food and excellent service. My husband and I have been coming here since it opened and we've NEVER had a bad or "subpar" experience. The sushi is always FRESH and the flavors of Sean's special rolls are always delicious 🤗 Great food, great staff, and Amazing prices!! **If you like special rolls, we recommend the Black Pearl Roll 🙌 it is absolutely delicious when paired with ponzu sauce**

No sushi place in the area can even compete with Genki! The quality of the sushi is very good, and you'll never feel like you didn't get enough food! I've been coming here for a couple of months now and now I have to come here at least 1-2 times a month! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff is always very nice and welcoming and it's always a great experience. I'd recommend various items such as the miso soup (my favorite miso soup ever), sushi sashimi combo, orange flamingo roll, rainbow roll, and their tempura menu items.

I can't believe we just found this! Great sushi! Black Pearl Roll..... Nice calm atmosphere. Looking forward to going back to try some of their unusual apps.

Staff so very attentive and willing to explain menu items that I was unfamiliar with! Generous portions. But we kept room for fried red bean ice cream!!!Yum

We had the coconut shrimp appetizer and the gyoza. The gyoza was delicious and the sauce tasty. The coconut shrimp was dry and the sauce too plain for my liking. I ordered the L1 lunch special with the cucumber, tuna, and California roll. The soy sauce is too salty and no option of low sodium It was too much for one person. My husband had the L6 Sushi and Sashimi deluxe. Again it was too much for one person. All fish was fresh. See pics below. We ordered to go chicken teriyaki and shrimp teriyaki. The teriyaki sauce on both is mild for my taste but combine with the favor on the fried rice, it tastes good.

Best Chirashi I've ever had in the last 45 years.

Got take out for dinner. It was just alright. The avocado in the sushi was brown and looked like day old sushi. The shrimp wonton soup was probably the highlight of the meal, and even that wasn't the best - it tasted watered down. I gave the Maryland Spring Rolls to my dog - they just weren't good. I was super hopeful but it definitely was a let down. Especially for the price...

Honestly I enjoyed this restaurant a lot. The service was very fast and my server was attentive even with the room being full. They had me seat myself but it’s not an overwhelming atmosphere so it made it easy to choose. They don’t have obnoxious music on or a cramped dining area and most importantly IT WAS SUPER CLEAN. Great lunch prices and great flavors. And you get value out of your experience because they gave me miso soup, salad and let me try a roll all free of charge. I only spent $12.67 for a full stomach!! I would definitely recommend.

Sushi pieces big, good quantity, but fish quality just okay. Servers friendly and services are good. Got complimentary sushi samples every time.

Awesome sushi...great service. IMO, best in Lancaster!! BYOB too!! The only complaint we had was they brought all of our food out VERY fast...we wanted to enjoy our apps, then our salads and soup, and then when done, enjoy the sushi love boat. Everything kind of came at once and our table was pretty full. It was very busy, so we weren't holding up a table, just wanted to enjoy a quiet slow-paced dinner. I'm all about prompt service, but just slow it down and bring items as other courses are being finished. AGAIN great food and super friendly staff!!

I don’t typically give a 5 star review, however there was nothing negative about my dine-in experience. The atmosphere was very clean and modern, if there was a negative about the atmosphere I would say the table felt sticky but I believe it was due to the type of table mixed with whatever cleaner the restaurant uses. We ordered a Pepsi, raspberry tea and a water. As an appetizer we ordered the calamari which came with a sauce that tasted a bit like eel sauce or soy sauce, it was good but I was not fond of the calamari batter I would rate it a 6/10 and may not order it next time. We also ordered the chicken fried rice which had egg, onion and scallions with thinly sliced chunks of chicken. The portion for $14 and change was definitely enough to share between 2 or 3 people. We had leftovers and the leftovers were just as good if not better than when it was served. The Japanese Bagel Roll, Spicy Salmon Roll and Caribbean Roll were the three rolls we ordered and they were delicious, flavorful and well presented. We were also given two pieces of a sushi roll on the house which I thought was very neat! Now for the service, 10/10! Extremely friendly, I couldn’t get over the friendliness of the two male waiters which I wish I had gotten their names! Upon arrival they immediately asked if we needed a high chair for our son, the service was quick with a smile, they gave us a complimentary piece of sushi, always made sure our drinks were full, asked if we needed anything and made sure we were enjoying our meal! I was very impressed with the customer service and because of that alone we would go back! I highly recommend trying this restaurant out!

We've been to Genki several times and it never fails to impress. Their sushi is always fresh and their portions are generous. The wait staff are polite, attentive and give you plenty of space to enjoy your meal. Every time we have eaten there, they have given us a free 3 piece tempura roll that was quite tasty, which just goes to show how much they appreciate their patrons. My wife loves the seaweed salad, and my personal favorites are the octopus and the white tuna. I could go on and on about all of the other amazing, high quality dishes that Genki offers, but you'll just have to stop in and try it for yourself. If you like good sushi, you'll love Genki!

What a pleasant surprise! Me and the wife went to Lancaster for a date day, decided to try this place. Boy I'm glad we did! The music choices and level is perfect, the waiter was incredibly nice, and to top it all off the food was fabulous! Will be the designated Lancaster spot for us for sure!

So good!! Truly worthy of the 5 stars. I got a spicy salmon and an angel hair roll and both were really good. There were even a few pieces in a box that said "on the house" and I thought that was really nice. I did take out but the restaurant was pretty inside. Easy ordering and pick up. I'll definitely be back to dine in.

They handled a group of 15 people well.

I went here last Saturday and it was amazing. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is so cute they have these beautiful fish light fixtures. The food was fresh and delicious. The chef even gave our table a sushi roll to try on the house! 10/10 definitely would recommend.

Fantastic sushi! I got 5-6 different rolls and combinations. Each one was fresh with big portions. They even custom made one of my favorite rolls and it was spot on!! Reasonable prices, kind and attentive staff. I can’t say enough! Loved every bite.

A clean, adequate place to get sushi. Great service. A few questionable decisions with the sushi - I felt that the rice was probably too warm in the nigiri and they overused sesame seeds in their dishes. The tuna tataki was a flop, covered in spicy mayo and sesame seeds for no good reason. But, importantly out in the countryside, the sushi always felt fresh and safe. Dining area is slightly sterile and could use more decor.

This place is always amazing!!!! if I’m ever in the mood for sushi I know where to go.I have dined in 4 times and a couple times with friends and have gotten takeout from them tons of times and it’s always been amazing. they usually always give me extras to try would def recommend.

This place was awesome!! Everything is fresh, and it’s is evident there is passion here! We received a free sample of one of their specialty rolls and it was nothing I would have ordered but it was so good just an explosion of flavor with so much depth. We just picked a random place to grab dinner after shopping, and I had to leave a review; I was so astonished. The green tea was so good, too.

Hands down 5 stars across the board. Started with the baked mussels and they did not disappoint! They sauce they used on them was fantastic. Very creamy and smooth with a spicy kick at the end. Oddly enough reminded me of a really good wing sauce. Then had the fire roll which was phenomenal as well. Good amount of spicy but not over bearing. As for the service we received, that is 5 star as well! Extremely attentive in everyway, politeness beyond compare, and hospitality to make anyone comfortable and hungry! Definitely give this sushi place a try if you haven't already! I can't wait to go back and try different items off the menu again and again!

I enjoyed my visit to Genki. They are very creative with their rolls. Lots of roll inventions that I have never heard of (and I've been to lots & lots of sushi places). The good quality was average and the prices were low. And the service was exceptional. Overall it was good (not great). Next time I'm going to have to try more of their specialty rolls. No beer or saki - just soda and tea.

Below average Sushi. Many other great places in Lancaster for sushi. Go to Yuzu for your sushi. I had the Volcano Special roll. It did not have much flavor, and it was overloaded with too much salmon and crab. It did not have much flavor to it. I like sushi with raw meat, and it seems like most of their options were cooked rolls.

Wow. Just wow. From the moment I walked in, everyone was so welcoming, warm and incredibly kind! The guy who sat me helped me pick cooked rolls since I am pregnant and the waitress made suggestions as well which I really appreciated. She was so attentive and sweet. The place is clean and cute and very inviting. Up to date music and made for a good ambiance. Everything smells amazing! The gyoza were perfectly cooked/seared and the sauce was incredible. I have had many of these dumplings in the past at other places and these were far superior. I had the volcano and jungle rolls. I have been craving sushi and finding cooked options is harder and they had so many wonderful choices! These rolls blew my mind. I have had many sushi rolls in my lifetime and am picky when it comes to flavor and ratio of ingredients and this was just top notch. They brought two sushi roll pieces on the house for me to try and what a kind gesture! I am beyond excited to come back and try more. What a find!

I ordered my food through doordash, this was actually my first time trying them and I was instantly blown away. I got 3 rolls and an appitizer and they were all amazing. They even added two pieces of a Jungle Roll on the house and oh was that just delicious! Looking forward to having again, and trying it in person.

Family stopped in for a late lunch and wasn’t disappointed. The rolls we ordered tasted fresh and the flavors were on point. Service was as good as the food, so no complaints. Pricing is fair and it’s a smallish place but better this way.

I've been to over 50 different sushi places at least and this is definitely up there! Amazing service, warm waiters and waitresses. I come back routinely for takeout and dinner! Definitely recommend. The menu is a little bit small, but every roll tastes AMAZING. Enough variety to come back over and over! Definitely recommend the flamingo rolls and spicy salmon roll!

Been to just about every sushi restaurant in York and Lancaster and this place just jumped to the top 3 on my list. Sushi was great and they didn't skimp on the ingredients! Came out fast and everything was delicious.

We recently moved from the NYC metropolitan area to Mt Joy PA and tried a few sushi restaurants - but none compare to Genki. Their Chef specialty rolls are delicious. We haven't had anything we didn't like.

Best sushi place if you are in the Lancaster Area! Everything about this restaurant is homey and delicious to eat out. I come here all the time with family and the consistent service each time is great! They offer free samples and check in on us to make sure we are always satisfied with our food! The sushi is fresh and I have never had an issues or concerns while eating here. Always shocked to try the new specials on the sushi menu and how great they are. The owners should be very proud of what they have accomplished and this is will be one of my fav places to go too.

Friendly, attendance service and very fresh ingredients. Simple things stand out like the fresh ginger dressing on the salad. All sashimi is beautiful looking and tastes very fresh. They have some very creative modern rolls as well!

Great place to grab a quick bite. Location is super convenient. Walking distance from Homewood, Fairfield and Hilton Garden Inn. Service is excellent and attentive without overburdening. Had a chance to speak to owner. They also offered some complimentary rolls that were delicious. Tempura is super light and delicate. Rice was just right. They don't offer alcohol but you can bring your own.

Genki has a special place in my heart. The staff & owner are the sweetest people and they greet you with kindness as soon as you step inside. The sushi is delicious and beautiful! Every time I have visited, the chef sends out a roll on the house to try. I have yet to be disappointed. I look forward to trying out more items at Genki! I definitely would check this place out if you stop in Lancaster, PA!

Love this place! Been here about 4 times in the past two months. Each visit starts with a friendly greeting from the staff. Very nice decor with subtle backlighting on the walls. The sushi is superb and very fresh! They have a great variety of sushi specialty rolls and my hot tea always stays filled. :)

I just got home from Florida and I was craving MORE SUSHI! This hit the spot. They also included a free dragon roll! I got a salmon roll, spicy salmon roll, and a yellowtail roll. I am celiac and these rolls were safe. Will be ordering again!

I love the inside of this restaurant and the workers are wonderful. Absolutely amazing Gyoza and really good sushi rolls. The scallop sushi and the shrimp sushi were both cooked, which I was a little disappointed with. But that’s a personal preference. Tons of options on the menu but they don’t serve alcohol. You can bring your own and they are happy to open a bottle for you. Highly recommend!

This is my favorite sushi place to go to. Not only is the sushi delicious, the staff is super nice. I’ve been at least 10 times now. I love their miso soup, spicy tuna roll, spicy California roll, aloha roll (the description of this roll doesn’t sound crazy, but it’s crazy good), black dragon roll, and any roll with fried shrimp in it.

I’ve been to a lot of restaurants and let me tell you, Genki has the best customer service I’ve ever seen. You’re immediately greeted at the door with a smile and a hello from the entire staff. We ordered soup, appetizers and entrees. It was all out in 5-10 minutes. Our entrees were out soon after. They even gave us complimentary sushi to go with our food. From the time we sat down to paying the check, it was just 30 minutes. Not only was the experience enjoyable and super fast, the food was great. 12/10.

We stopped here to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. Excellent sushi! Friendly waitstaff. We had 3 special rolls and shrimp fried rice. Amazing! Would recommend this to my friends!
