I love the sandwiches here. I love the customer service up front, they are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I probably won't go back due to the way someone spoke to a girl up front. A guy came up from the back and asked who had been in something (produce case?), when a female employee responded it was her, he sort of gruffly told her she left a door open. It was an odd way to point it out in front of everyone including customers and call out a probably harmless mistake. He could've easily said "Hey guys, someone left 'whatever' open, watch that door so we don't have 'whatever issue'" or saved the entire exchange for a more appropriate time. I'm sure this dude has never made a mistake in his life. /s It's not the behavior of a good leader. It's a gross power move, unprofessional, and borders on bullying. Additionally I've never seen this dude greet a customer and he has RBF. I sincerely hope it was an isolated incident, and maybe it didn't bother her a bit, but I was uncomfortable and will avoid having to see and hear it in the future. No food is worth that.

I just don't know how to put into words how amazing g the food is here. I went there today with my husband and another couple for my birthday lunch. I ordered the Chicago melt, and It was fantastic! I can not remember what my husband ordered, but he asked if they could make it in a wrap instead of the hogi roll, and the guy behind the counter gladly granted his request. Also had a slice of the Tiramisu, and oh my gosh, it was so delicious. I will definitely be a repeat customer

Best Italian food I had in a while . I love this place!!

Ohh my goodness, this was a pleasant surprise. First the staff is friendly and welcoming. Food is amazingly fresh and service was what you would expect in a classic NY deli. The flavors of my Jr. classic Italian sub was perfect I added jalapeños and sriracha mayo and a side of side of pickles and olives. So delicious my Italian husband had classic turkey club and antipasto salad. We are both very pleased to have finally make it in on time as they close at 2. They have amazing menus and selection. If you leave this place still hungry that’s on you. This little place is exceptional.

You can't go wrong with anything you get! My two absolute favorites are the gyro and Geno's sub!

Finally got to try Geno’s. This place is a hidden gem. Couldn’t decide what to get. Everything looked so good. Asked the servers and they gave their faces. Two agreed on the Smothered Beef. Was fantastic. Sides were fresh and tasty. Looking fwd to returning. Could order the entire menu everything looked so good. Wife had Jr Italian and after first bite was impressed.

The food is usually delicious I won’t lie. However, it’s a bit pricey for how many flies are ALWAYS in the restaurant and the service has never been that great. It’s worth a try at least once though.

Good food, seemed like a great family or small business vibe. Probably not any more expensive than subway, but homemade alternative. And they sell more options of subs, have pizza, ice cream, etc.

I got chicken florentine pasta and not only was it the best pasta I’ve had in a long long time but I also had never been inside of Geno’s before and the workers and staff are so sweet and let me spin a cute wheel for a order discount while I waited for my bread. 10/10 service and food and I will definitely be back again.

The place is packed because the food is good !!!!! Only thing I would improve would be make them nyc heros they should be half for lunch other half for dinner that's a hero from NY!!!!!! The staff is great I want to work there but it wouldn't help my dieting lol The Italian hero is what it should look like the chicken cutlet is also what it should look like and the meatball hero is there's close enough to perfection for me yummy go there it won't disappoint 😋 😀 😉

I love going to Geno's , I always get their antipasto salad and I would definitely recommend it, the sandwiches on rolls are good as well.

This place is IT y'all. Geno's Deli is making me consider some of the other 5 star reviews I give because this place is actually amazing. If you don't read further - go eat here ASAP. Pros: 1. The food is so fresh! Meats are cut right there and the breads felt recently baked. Really good looking sides too! 2. They offer a wide range of sandwiches. I got the stromboli and others at my table got the peppered steak and regular steak. Which all looked and tasted great. 3. The pasta salad was divine. 4. The desserts are HUGE and very cheap. A piece of German chocolate cake was filling the entire container and it was only like $3.50. Cons: None. You have to try this place out if you're near Bowling Green. I will be returning STAT to try the Reuben, peppered steak, Italian sub, the antipasto salad, the pickle and olive salad, and that German chocolate cake. I can't wait!

After a full day of driving we took a gamble and stopped here for what we hoped would be a yummy quick bite and boy was it! We got a pizza and their pork Cuban and both were fabulous! Service was fast and friendly. The staff was always working..whether it was with customers, prepping food, or cleaning. The fast and delicious meal was exactly what we need before finishing up our long drive. We also like the atmosphere.. with a family friendly area with kids tables and the fact that kids eat for $1.99. We hope to be back someday!

My wife and I used Geno's Italian Deli to cater our wedding and we were not disappointed! Tony and his staff were great to work with. There was more than enough food and we had endless compliments on how good the food was! If you are ever thinking about catering an event I highly recommend Geno's!!

I’ve been meaning to write a review for years just never thought about it until I brought my wife in, and she fell in love with the place. I myself loved coming here when I was in the area. Great food, friendly employees and amazing atmosphere!

Great pizza, however, if you are planning on having pizza on a SATURDAY you better get it at 8 am and before 2 pm. I have never heard of a pizza place closed on a Saturday afternoon/evening. They said they are short staffed. Well, maybe open at the prime time for pizza orders and you will make enough money for more employees rather than 8 am. I wont count on going again with hours like that.

Visited here with family after reading the good reviews & so glad we did. Restaurant is very unassuming and filled with cases displaying Italian cold cuts, salads, olives and desserts. It smelled amazing as soon as we walked in. For our first time, we started with a pizza. The Spicy Italiano was fresh, the toppings were delicious and the dough itself was light, airy and delightfully chewy. The staff was kind and personable as well. We’ll definitely be back to try more items ASAP!

I visited the shop during a business trip with colleagues - cool atmosphere and the food is really great! You should plan on waiting at lunchtime, but it's worth it.

Can’t say a bad word about this place. My sub was delicious. Wife pizza bake was delicious. My son’s sub was delicious. The atmosphere is beyond amazing. And the staff was spectacular. I assume it’s a family owned/run business. It atleast has that feel. 100% will be back, only regret is that I hadn’t tried it sooner.

Absolutely fantastic!!!! We just found this spot after living in BG for 8 months and I only wish we'd found it sooner. Really awesome food with good sized portions, but the STAR of this place is the STAFF. They're just amazing. Truly. My husband and I have been in 3 times our first week of discovery and I don't see this pace slowing down. Seriously, give them a try - you'll be very glad you did! P.S. ... their desserts are sooooooo good

I've been going to this place for years. They have good breakfast and good sandwiches. I like the atmosphere.

Overall good food, marinara was a little to sweet for me but pizza and meatballs where great. Will be trying a sandwich next time.

I like Geno’s food, but placing an order with them has become increasingly difficult. I have tried on several different occasions to order from door dash, I place the order, then it’s immediately canceled. Then I call to try to pick it up and am told it will be over an hour. I’m sure they are short staffed, but seems to be an issue lately.

Hidden in a small shop in the corner of a strip mall, I found this place to eat. It didn't look like much from the outside. Was I ever impressed. Lots of selection. The woman that waited on me was very knowledgeable in what they served. The food was outstanding. They were very kind and it was a relaxing visit. I plan to return the next time I'm in the area.

Run do not walk here. OMG! I brought my husband and three kids here and we all loved every bite. Everything here is delicious as we spoke to many regulars and they all said the same. The only negative is that we are traveling through bowling green and don’t live here or is frequent this establishment often. Great job, staff. As a bar owner, you knocked it out of the park!

Geno’s catered our wedding and it was the absolute best experience! They arrived well in advance and made everything fresh at our venue. They were easy to work with, professional, and the food was delicious!

We ordered for delivery. The chicken alfredo was subpar. The chicken was deli chicken lunch meat and the alfredo sauce tasted like it came from a can. The gyro was amazing and the tzatziki sauce was amazing. The Italian dip sub was just okay. They forgot the cannoli we ordered so didn't get to taste that. Over all we were not impressed with the Italian food but the gyro was really good.

This place is fantastic! The food is delicious. Everything I've ordered has been so very good. We go every week! Try the calzone. Definitely for at least 2 people.

Food was great. Definitely a local hidden gem. Guy working was super friendly. I would say that he needs help though. Our food was on the slower side to come out and would’ve liked all of our food to come out at the same time. 5-15 minutes in between for all 4 of us. I still give it 5 stars though because you can tell the owners care about their customers. We will be back and eager to try different menu items!

Food: Very diverse menu, and everything I've tried has been very good. I recommend the Chicago Melt, pastas, and pizza. Service: The employees are usually very busy, so they can appear as though their not being very hospitable. I don't think this is true at all, I just believe their working hard to get the food out as fast as they can, and they're remaining focused. I think the best way to eat at Genos is to dine-in, the food is always steaming hot and delicious. Atmosphere: I really like the atmosphere in Genos, feels like you're eating at an old fashioned deli. My reason for giving it 4 stars is a problem that several small businesses have in Bowling Green. The ventilation in the restaurant isn't the best, so when you leave the smell of the dining room sticks with you and your clothes. This doesn't keep me from going there as all the other aspects of the restaurant are great! Overall: 5 stars, love this place!

My buddy told me about this place and I am sure glad he did. Wow! I love Geno's. The staff... excellent and engaged. You can tell they care about the food. Get the dipped Chicago! So so so good. Pizza is also pretty solid. Very reasonable prices and you won't leave hungry. Also, ENORMOUS menu. Don't feel bad about being a little overwhelmed at first and if push comes to shove, close your eyes and point....you won't be disappointed

We order from here a few times a week. We have noticed a huge decline the last few times with the food. The pizza is greasy and soggy and we ask for it to be well done and you can still drink the grease from the pizza!! Today we ordered 3 subs and my sub had 3 pieces of salami and 1 piece of over cooked ham on it. It was $9 for THAT???!!! It is drenched in mustard, only on 1 side. We are a local dealership and we will NOT order from here any longer.

We found this place while in town for the day. Was very impressed with the different selections as well as the delicatessen offerings. Food was great and the portions were huge. Several of the Italian sandwiches caught my eye and sounded great. We will definitely be stopping by again when we're in town.

Wow! Hadn't been here in a very long time and I am regretful for the delay. There was a good line when I walked in for lunch. Employees where hard at it behind the counter trying to cook and take orders and prepare everything. There is an expansive menu from pasta to paninis to subs to hotdogs and lots of sides and desserts! Food was cooked well and my panini was delicious. The cheesecake was excellent too with what appeared to be homemade whipped cream as it was a thicker consistency then store bought. Everything was good as evident by the full dining room and folks sitting outside as well. Prices are very reasonable too! Second visit was not as great as my first experience.. this time, it took an absorbent amount of time for a California hotdog that was mid on a much less busy morning. Cookie was absolutely delicious.

Love Geno’s! Amazing food and staff. Hands down one of my favorites! They have so many menu items but I always go back to the same thing, the lasagna bake. SO GOOD! Filling and very reasonably priced. Hoping hours extend soon to be open for dinner!

Probably one of if not the best Italian restaurants in Bowling Green, but that is not a high bar. They do great sandwiches and their pizzas are very good

Okay, it may not be a "real" Italian deli, whatever that is, but the food is generally really good here, and their Antipasto salad and Muffaletta sandwich were Italian enough for me. Their chocolate Canoli and Tiramisu desserts were excellent! I only gave 'em 3 stars for atmosphere because it's just a deli with tables and chairs, but actually this is a pretty comfortable place to sit and eat or have a cup from their coffee bar. There's light music from their sound system but it's never too loud to have a conversation. Prices are not a bargain but not outrageous, either.

My mother and I stopped in at Geno’s because he had heard how good the food is. I ordered the Tortellini with Chicken in basil cream. My mother ordered spaghetti with meat sauce. We were told that it should take about 10 minutes for our food to be done. We waited over 20 minutes for our food. Then, when we finally got it, I had no chicken and she had no beef in our dishes! The worse part, our pasta and sauce came from a package that was heated in the microwave, seen them preparing it this way! This might explain why we had no meat in our dish! The food wasn’t bad, but definitely not fresh. I was not impressed enough to go back!

This place lives up to the reviews - so so good. Yes, there is a long line wait but it is so worth it! Everything was fresh and full of authentic flavors. The portions are very generous. The eggplant is the best I have ever had (and I have had a lot!). My son ordered the cheese calzone, oh my goodness it was delicious. We wish there was something like this back home!

This is an awesome Italian restaurant. Excellent food and service to the best of their abilities. It is a great place to get awesome Italian food. Only problems you will have here are often long waits during lunch and dinner due to staff shortages. Online ordering sometimes might get cancelled as well due to long waits. I think they are doing the best they can best on the situation, but certainly having a very good business in our town means rethinking and getting the best you can to help you. I love the place overall except for this issues and I'm aware of it being more than just the normal staff shortage. You've built a great business with the people and I hope you can maintain it as I said this is some of the best Italian food around. So again overall is positive, but just be prepared for a few issues still being ironed out. If you're willing to wait, it'll be worth the wait. Just be aware as in all good things when some issues might arise.

This place was really popular. The wait for a fresh pizza to cook was about as long as the wait to order. Very popular place and the staff was just making stuff as calm as can be! Interacting with customers while making their order. My pizza was great and only 15 bucks!! Whole lot better than the new Yorker from other place in town. I will go back and try some sandwiches! Great food in a little basic shop

Can’t believe I just lucked upon this place! We wanted pasta but didn’t want our normal places. A quick google search and we found Geno’s. My Alfredo as well as my husbands and daughters were fantastic. They had the Cajun chicken with sausage and I had the Chicken Alfredo with mushrooms and all had Penne noodles. We can’t wait to go back and try other things! The chocolate chip cake was heavenly as well.

We stopped in for lunch for the first time yesterday and we’re so pleasantly surprised! It’s tucked away in the corner, so you can’t really see it from the main road, so we didn’t know it was there before (we’re new to the area). Sandwiches were so fresh and delicious, and the staff was so kind and helpful! There’s a lot to choose from, so I love when someone will give their honest opinions and suggestions! Will definitely be back and tell our friends.

Coming from the east coast, I wasn’t impressed by this deli. I expected a more authentic menu and deli selection.

Genos has great food. Unfortunately they are the rudest, worst employees I’ve ever encountered. they don’t care about their customers on the phone ordering in. We try and get Genos for lunch at work weekly for pick up and NEVER get our order placed. We get put on hold for 15+ minutes as they just sit the phone down and never pick back up. I was picked back up today and ready to place my order which they told me they had to put me back on hold because they couldn’t have the people in store wait long enough for them to take my order. They didn’t have any problem leaving me on hold for 20 minutes until I finally had to hand up!!!! This happens all the time, they don’t care, rude, inconsiderate and it’s CONSISTENT! Shame on you Genos.

The broccoli salad is the best in town ..

THIS PLACE IS A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH!! ABSOLUTELY SOME DELIGHTFUL ITALIAN FOOD. HAD ONE OF THEIR SPECIALTY SUBS AND IT WAS PHENOMONAL! THIS IS NOT YOUR CHAIN TYPE RESTAURANT. WELL DONE GENO’S!!

The food was wonderful, the gentleman running the counter was great, he was the only one working and kept his cool and worked as fast as he could.

If there were 6 stars out of five, I gladly gave them to this restaurant... every time we come over, they never fail to exceed my expectations.... great service, clean restrooms, and delicious food that comes as hot as it should be.... on top of that, you can spin the wheel before you pay your bill to see if you get a discount or free menu item. I highly recommend this place, you'll not be disappointed!!

“The Beast” - not really. I ordered this today and was disappointed in the lack of substance. It was as if they forgot the meat. I’m not a big eater and always get the Jr version of most orders - burgers, subs, etc. This “Beast” of a sandwich was so slight it left me hungry. For the price, I expected much more. The 1 star was for the roll and bag of Sun Chips.

We love Geno’s. A great place to relax and enjoy good food at a reasonable price. We highly recommend. Lots of choices. 🥰

I'm a regular here it has a large selection of foods and delicious.

Unexpectedly excellent. We had Greek Salad and an Italian Dip. Both very good. The homemade Chess pie was amazing. Not overly sweet. Definitely something to bring for family dinner get-togethers.

Food was ok, bread was overcooked and ends was impossible to eat without breaking a tooth, middle of sandwich was decent. Tea was good.

I stopped at here to buy a couple of Cannoli. They are sold out BUT Brandon told me that he can make it if I want to wait 15-20min. Just for one foreign customer, just for $5+ of sales, he treated me sooooo generously. (p.s. I'm an Asian with a language barrier!!!) If you are looking for authentic Cannolis and hospitality service here is the place to go. Another p.s. I've got a panini "Chicken Fried Chicken" and yes it was wonderful!! Crispy, juicy, and tasety!!!

Everything is excellent, sandwich meat sliced to order, great gyros, and wonderful desserts. Allow some prep time for baked dishes and pizza.
