It’s a shame we live in phoenix and family from out of town bring us here and so glad they did! We will definitely be coming back! Service was amazing, food was spectacular and overall an amazing atmosphere! We will be back!

The authentic Chinese and Burmese dishes are very delicious. You won't be disappointed. If you're expecting Panda Express or Pei Wei your mind will be blown. FUIYOH!!!

This place is a wonderful place for food, service and atmosphere. The value is also impressive.

I had a takeout for their house chow fun which is pretty good as the sauce is delicious and generous serving of vegetables and shrimps. I may order again if I crave for kway teow.

Today we dined in a restaurant for first time.Delicious food and fresh, very good taste and not expensive. The staff was very pleasant and the food was great, it was a beauitful meal all around,thank you.

Food used to be waaaaaay better, even just 6 months ago. Flavor and nice spice in dishes is basically gone...maybe new chef. We loved you all, but the food is just lacking now for the price. Shame, really.

We have been looking for a great Chinese place for over a year. This is the best find since we moved to Scottsdale. The food is awesome and not filled with sodium. We have been back weekly and have always had great food. 👍

Went on a Tuesday night with out of town cousin. They have a good amount of dine in and carry out business while we were there. We had Moo Shu Chicken, already came wrapped in 4 portions. Cantonese Chow Mein over crispy noodles. Our server recommended Szechwan String Beans, it is very fresh and not spicy. Atmosphere was very nice. We sat at a large booth with a lot of elbow rooms. Service was excellent. It turned out we met the lovely George’s daughter. The almond cookie was so fresh and good. Definitely will go back to try more dishes.

Ordered delivery.. wonton soup zero flavor tastes like water, wraps over salted, other items no flavor .. Worst Chinese we have ever eaten in Scottsdale. Too bad it was our only delivery option.

I expected better tasting kang pao chicken but it was very small pieces mostly skin with some tough bites So stay away from the dish and maybe order tofu instead

5 ☆ plus I ordered firecracker shrimp, and it was so very fresh and delicious! Everything was cooked to perfection, and the service was very excellent 👌!

George & Son's is our favorite Asian restaurant chain in Phoenix. Great food and drinks, at reasonable prices, friendly service, and nice decor, make this a destination place for a special lunch or dinner. Especially we love it there Saturday night when the live band is playing favorite songs. If you feel like it, there is usually enough place to dance as well!!!

We came in for dinner and immediately seated. We were impressed with their wine and beer menu. I ordered Stella beer and my wife ordered Kendall Jackson and both were perfectly chilled. I ordered Sesame chicken and my wife ordered the Asian vegetable delight and both were delicious with great portions. The service was done by a rotating group, all were friendly and attentive. The only issue I had was that the meals come with white rice but if you want brown rice, there is an additional charge of $2.50. Not a game changer. This is our new favorite Chinese restaurant and will return again the next time we are in Scottsdale.

Didn't have just simple fried rice as a side

This place is trash in my opinion! The couple that came in behind me was greeted and seated, and no one acknowledged me, ever! I waited a few moments to see if someone would acknowledge me and take my order, but after one minute or so, they never did, so I left! The difference between me and the couple who stood behind me is, I’m black and they were white.

We will be back! They have live music! Food was good.

Great food. Took a while to get dinner as it appears they had quite a few.deliveries to prepare for UberEATS, door dash, etc. but the food made up for it

Horrible food. Tried takeout first time. Vegetables are cut in big chunks, chef needs to take time and cut those nicely and in smaller edible sizes. No flavor either. Curry shrimp was liquidy, no flavor as if chef was in a rush. I had to fix both dishes. Waste of my money.

Update Aug 2022. Did someone buy this location? Food has changed! It's horrible now. I've gone there every week and gotten different foods and a few repeats. It's DIFFERENT. What happened? New staff are nice. We ate in 3x. Rest were carryout. I didn't see anyone I knew. Looks like we have to find a new place. Very Sad... Old Review...We go there 1x a week. Very sweet friendly staff. They remember people's favs. lol. I saw the same with other customers. Call ahead often very busy!

The food was 6 stars, the front cashier wasn't very friendly but the servers were nice. The atmosphere is good, nothing mind blowing. The food (and the price for what you are getting)is where it is at, I had Kung Pao Shrimp and it was all that and a bag of chips. Quality: It is like how you would want to make the food if you were doing it yourself, my wife says.

George & Son’s Asian Restaurant is by far the best Asian restaurant in the Valley. The food is outstanding and so is the service! This restaurant never disappoints.

The food was fantastic!! Lilly and Paul were so kind and attentive, explaining the menu and giving their suggestions. Great wine list!! I got the Chicken Kung Pao, and it was so good!! The egg rolls and the wonton soup were awesome!!! My husband ordered the General Yang's Chicken, and it was outstanding! We found our go-to Chinese restaurant in Scottsdale!!

We've eaten here several times and the food has been very good. The service is hit or miss and the place can be very busy depending on the time and day of the week. Ordering to go is a good option if tables are not available.

Delicious, quality, affordable Asian food. Friendly staff. Very clean and nicely decorated restaurant with comfy booths. We love the lunch special and still had food to take home!

I highly recommend this restaurant. I had the jumbo Walnut shrimp. The portion was huge, and it was delicious. They have a very good menu. The night I was there they had a very good band and I stayed until they were done. If you wait long enough, you'll be blessed with having George sing for you, and he's actually pretty good. The owners and staff are very involved with their clientele, and it's a wonderful experience.

George’s is always so great! We love the sizzling rice soup. It doesn’t matter if it’s 100 degrees or if it’s cold. I always get it!

Honestly the restaurant smelled bad when we walked in…should have taken the hint and left. Ended up ordering, everything was ok, nothing original or mind blowing. Wouldn’t go back.

The food was exceptional, with a nice comfortable atmosphere. George, the owner, was accommodating and a delight. Have to try the walnut shrimp, absolutely delicious.

Best culinary experience of my lifetime (and I'm old)! Absolutely delicious. Seven of us shared at least 4 different appetizers and at least 6 different entrees. (My favorites were the Honey-glazed Walnuts with Jumbo Shrimp and the Spicy Crackling Calamari.) They came out consecutively. Just as we'd finished one, another would arrive, impeccably timed. I live in the Northwest and would come back to Scottsdale, if only for the food! Thank you, George! I will never forget this experience.

Love this spot! Usually stop in for the lunch specials. Pretty ambiance. Large family tables with lazy Susan’s available. Service is friendly and helpful. They were able to accommodate a friend with dietary restrictions related to gluten and dairy. She had Miona’s Special Chicken (ask server for details). I recommend General Yang’s Chicken.

Best food in the valley. I tell all my NY and east coast friends to go there, and everyone else. Even had a special 5 course duck dinner for my mom's birthday once.

I contacted George to provide food for my 75th birthday. What a delightful man and the best menu ever! He made sure to arrive on time and set up an impressive and delicious buffet. Many thanks for the personal care and attention to detail. Food was incredible!

Tried it for the 1st time, had the orange chicken, NY egg roll, General Yang Chicken, and Rice. The Orange chicken did not test good at all! Didn’t test like chicken…? The G Y Chicken was ok, not spicy at all, the egg rolls were horrible! The rice was the only thing that was fine. $65. Two meals no drinks. Not going there again….

Don’t waste your money or time here. Rude, greedy, and food is trash. Zero stars if I could. They need to be shutdown.

Love this place, always consistant, the friendliest staff and Lily is the best! Very attentive and makes you feel like part of the family there. I love going because of her. I wish they would bring back the lunch buffet because no other buffet could ever compare. This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the valley or should I say ever. I have tried others and nothing can beat this place. Do yourself a favor and go and order the special fish or the orange chicken or the beef chow fun or really anything, you wont be disappointed

The food and music were absolutely wonderful!! What an exceptional musician "Marty" is a one man band with all the instruments he can play!! The waitresses were very attentive to our food and drink needs.

One of the best Chinese menu’s I’ve found in the Phoenix area. Service is great and you have to try the New York style egg rolls.

EDIT: Sadly, the food now is very overcooked. I'm guessing it's been reheated over and over again. I will NOT be going back. Used to be good. But not anymore. I'm not sure how many readers will know what "New York-Style" Chinese food really means. But if you do, this is the closest you will find 2,500 miles away. Excellent food! Very good selection. I'm not an adventurous eater. I typically stay with the foods I like, and know to be good. This is the first restaurant where I'll try a different dish every time I'm there. And I have NEVER been disappointed. The owner George, is great. He comes around and greets patrons at their tables, and often times brings a bottle of wine with him for the table to share while discussing the day's events. Great restaurant. Impeccable service. I will not go anywhere else!

Up until a few years ago I would have said they had pretty good food. My last takeout meal was way overcooked, and the beef was hard as rocks. Had it not been an hour drive roundtrip I would have brought it back. It was inedible. The past few takeout visits had been equally disappointing. I give up - Not going back.

An absolutely exceptional establishment with the very best customer service we have experienced in the longest time. The service: Fast, friendly, professional, and courteous. Right when you think you need someone, a staff member appears out of thin air. So yes, these people are magicians too. The food: not a long wait time, freshly prepared , flavorful, carefully selected, and VERY delicious. You can't go wrong at George and Son's and I urge you to come by. It's worth the drive and wroth coming back over and over again. We can't wait to come back, thank you!

Very nice classic Chinese restaurant in town! We came on a Saturday night with live band music, and it has very good atmosphere and ambience! The bar tender makes very good cocktail and we enjoyed the food and drinks very much!

Love this place ,same as their another location George yang's, the chow fen and thai spicy basil chicken are my favorites. Highly recommended

arrived at around 430 on super bowl sunday. one customer in the restaurant soobviously we were seated immediately and our server came immediately as well. we had won ton soup and tom yum thair siup and potstickers as appetizers. all were excennent. we hsd the beef snow peas,sechuan snow peas andkung pao 3 seasas main couses. again all 3 were excellent. most of their business tonight at least was carry out. the restaurant was clean, service good, prices fair. menu is very extensive. would like to come again and try other things

had dinner with my wife and had a great time. Francis our waiter did a great job in spacing the food and made sure our glasses were filled when needed. the food was great as well and also the portions were large. had lunch the next day. we will be back

George and Son's restaurant has the nicest waitstaff and great cooks. The cook always modifies a curry dish keeping it delicious but not too fiery!

Amazing and delicious food. If you're local you already know about George and Son's. This is some of the best food I've eaten for some time. It was served fresh and hot. The Iced Green Tea is so absolutely refreshing. The server was friendly, great sense of humor. This is a definite must go back to eat.

Exceptional beef fried rice, in fact th best I've ever had. The shrimp fried rice, however is lacking..... definitely not enough shrimp....there's about 5 large shrimp total for a large portion of rice. The pork egg foo young portion is decent though, it's a few meals for certain especially with the extra addition of the stir fried pork and veggies included.

While vacationing in Scottsdale, we found this gem of a place a few miles away from our hotel! I have been craving Chinese food but I was doubting my choice when the gps started taking us to a strip mall. Once inside we literally forgot that we were on a strip mall. The restaurant is elegantly decorated, full bar on display at the very front! Our cocktails were fabulous and from the service, to the food, everything was amazing! Some of the very best Chinese food we’ve had! I recommend this place 100%. If I lived in Scottsdale, this will actually be a “go to” for me and my family!

We held a surprise birthday party there. The staff was so helpful each time I called in to set something up. And the food is always outstanding.

Absolutely the best! The pot stickers were tender and tasty. The General Yangs (Tso) Chicken was perfect and the generous helping of veggies in my delicious Chow Mein was superb! I WILL be going there again. You should too!
