Have a great meat sauce for there coneys

George's is a family favorite. We like to sit at the counter and watch the cook, who is a master at his craft and fun to watch. George's feta is imported from Greece and is the best we've ever had. You can get fresh-squeezed orange juice all day long. The portions are generous. Our son usually orders whatever coney special is offered, and my husband likes the gyro combos. I order the lemon rice soup and then from all over the menu. We often buy a pint of the Greek salad dressing for home use. The only item I have ever been disappointed in was the London broil, which was too salty for my tastes. We took our entire family there during our 50th anniversary celebrations. Everyone was pleased, especially the grandsons.

Food was average for a Coney but portions were on larger side service and prices were great

George's is always spot on with food, speed of service and fair pricing. Actually almost didn't write this review as I'm feeling selfish today and want to keep this place for myself, but that wouldn't be fair to George's...

Food was not as good as it used to be....

I've been here several times.. The food is more than pretty good... They still (after over a year) haven't changed their online menu to match what they actually charge. I wouldn't normally complain, but.. Then again.. It's been over a year, and everything I look at the online menu, it looks like it's way cheaper than it is when you walk in to pay. I get the southern.. It says $8 on the online menu, but it's really $12 before tip. HUGE DIFFERENCE.. Other than that. It's pretty great. Friendly staff, but it really does bother me about the online menu. At least 50% is on-line orders. It kinda makes me feel like they are doing it to take advantage of people. Sorry to say it. But again... It's what it seems like.

Ordered chicken gyro. Bread was cold and hard. Chicken was very cold. Waitress never came to check to-see how things were so I ate it because I was starving from not eating. For two days. She did throw the bill away but I will never go back.

Ordered takeout the ranch was spoiled as well as on the chicken wrap. I called for a refund because we threw away the food, they would not provide a refund and offered a free meal when we return, however we will not be returning after our experience and the way it was handled.

Really nice Coney Island. Right near other business. The coney dogs are very good. Check out the daily specials listed on the board upon entering the restaurant. Very clean and the staff is very friendly and fast. Prices are good. You can easily sit on the counter and watch orders being made.

Simple yet tasty coney. The basic coney (chili) is only 3 bucks! The one with ground beef is only 4 bucks. I'm not sure why the special with chili and ground beef is twice the price at 9 bucks, but it was quite good. I was here with my elderly parents. I am not sure why, but a complete stranger in table next to us PAID FOR OUR MEAL without saying a word!!!! How wonderful!!! Needless to say, the waitress got a great tip!

Institutional Rochester. The most consistent Greek diner in Oakland County. My favorite breakfast spot.

Ordered online through Uber eats this morning and we received our items. One part of our meal, we were very disgusted. The chicken caesar salad had black pieces of lettuce. We thought only a few pieces, no big deal. Clearly the kitchen isn't inspecting the lettuce. It was so many pieces that unfortunately we had to toss the entire salad (it was not cheap) We also ordered a greek pita wrap (our guests haven't ate that yet) so i'm hoping it doesnt have black pieces of lettuce in that one too. YIKES!

Delicious, has a 50's diner look. You can watch them cook your food. THEY PUT SO MUCH CHILLI. it's so good. Delicious chilli and chilli cheese fries. Amazing breakfast too! Fast service. Overall, 11/10. Coming back alot. Very cheap as well. 4 bucks a coney dog!

Ordered a cup of coffee and drank half of it before finding something stuck around the inside of the cup. ☹️ Dinner dishes dirty and marked up. Watched owner sweeping food preparation area of fries, then watched him going after a mouse with the broom. Yuck!!

I have only been here once, and for breakfast. I had a simple meal; eggs, bacon and rye toast ,(which I asked for well done, and it was). The food was good, our waitress was delightful and even though she appeared to be swamped, she got our food out hot and pretty quickly. It is a little cramped for me and was very busy when we were there on a Sunday, but overall it was a good experience.

Great food, and I think they readjusted their prices. They are more reasonable now. I had a make your own omelette and it was priced just right.

Not impressed. $15.90 +tip for a Carryout Reuben and fries. Hardly any meat on it. Not a good value for the money. I won't be going back.

What a cozy place really nice attractive waitresses and service

I had come in a few times with family and friends because of the great reviews I was hearing from friends. Whenever I would come into George's Coney Island for the first couple of times, the food and staff was always amazing. However, lately the food has been the worst. In my 3 recent visits, I had found strands of hair in my food as well as finding foreign objects in my water. Normally I would rate a restaurant 1 star for this reason. But George's Coney Island has a great staff and I hope they fix this problem for future customers. I won't be back for a long time.

Worst Coney Island buns I’ve ever had . Very stale and hard. Never buying again and Leo’s Coney Island is doing the same thing, why are these guys using old nasty buns. Ridiculous.

Never came a refilled our drinks food was disgusting. Fries tasted freezer burned. Didn't bring are whole order had to ask for. Will never eat here again very upset. This was our first time eating here very disappointed. If I could put Zero stars i would horrible service.

To expensive and waitress kept forgetting stuff

Tried tonight for the first time and probably won’t be back At 6:30 pm the place was almost empty, there were only 3 tables including us. We ordered a breakfast and a hot turkey sandwich. The breakfast was mediocre with no flavor at all and extremely overpriced for 2 eggs, bacon, and hash browns in a bowl. The hot turkey sandwich was disgusting. Slimy turkey, hardly any gravy, luke warm turkey, chunky mashed potatoes, and really gross green beans with some kind of red sweet sauce on them. The plate was super sloppy with food all over the edges too. Our waitress disappeared and we couldn’t ask for drink refills or something else to eat. Neither person in our party really ate more than a few bites. The next time we saw her was to put our bill on the table and she just walked away. We were sitting right next to the counter so we know we were seen. Almost $30 for two inedible meals is ridiculous. Then the second server up at the register looked at us and just stood behind the counter talking to the cook about her rolled ankle and bar trips when at school (I’m assuming college) for almost 5 minutes before we asked if we could pay so we weren’t late for our movie.

Go here all the time! Food is always good and the staff is very friendly! Best Greek dressing I have ever had! Unfortunately though they have been out of my favorite dish for months... London broil. 🙂

You get a lot of food and prices are reasonable

My family and I have been going here for years. Their Greek salad dressing is incredible. Seriously. It’s so so so good. A chicken Greek salad with a pita is the move. A gyro is also a respectable move. But honestly, it’s a great, classic Coney Island.

Typical Mid Western slop. Does anyone in this area have any tastebuds at all? Chili dog so soupy I had to use a knife and fork to eat. Tasted like canned chili and the cheese was kraft single cheese. The indigestion later in the day was wonderful. I recommend skipping any of these Coney Island joints.

By far..the worst food from a Coney I have ever had. Ordered basic breakfast, eggs, hashbrowns, bacon. Hashbrowns crusty and overcooked, bacon undercooked, it came with cold biscuits and gravy. Not impressive at all.

Great little corner diner. I've eaten here a few times and the service has always been quick. A great place to stop in if your time is limited. Portions are nice sized as well. Obviously it's not fancy, it's a diner, it's not supposed to be, but it is clean and friendly. If your just looking for a nice meal at a reasonable price you pretty much cant go wrong here.

First time there. The staff were all very friendly and made me feel welcomed. I ended up getting breakfast which was very good. Had two eggs over easy with bacon toast and hashbrowns. They cooked the hash towns the way I like them crispy and the bacon as well. Will definitely be back.
