Everytime I come in here on date nights with my fiance, the food is always delicious and fresh. Service is super friendly and atmosphere is cozy! 💜

Food was hot and made fresh. Plenty of toppings and protein. I had Philly steak fries and chicken Gyro everything was delicious. Also took a turkey sub that was supposed to be my lunch for the next day. Yeah right! It didn’t make it ate that up also!

Customer service has gone down dramatically. I placed a DoorDash order and it was canceled so I called to see what was going on and to possibly come in to order and the manager was very rude and just stated “yeah now I’m not doing DoorDash orders it’s too busy” I understand being busy but customer service is just thrown out the window. The food is great but customer service sucks!!

It is very unfortunate the quality of customer service. We come here ALL the time. It was perfect when George ran the place. However, his son and staff, very rude. When I went in I was picking up a to-go order. He looked at me, said “no” while shrugging his shoulders and walking away. I wasn’t offered help or asked what the order was. When I called to complain about how I wasn’t helped- I was told BY THE OWNER (George’s son) that he’s NEVER rude to customers and started making excuses for how I was treated in the establishment. The fact HE ARGUED WITH ME? However, if you look at the reviews- I’m obviously NOT the only customer that feels this way. Unfortunately, I will not be coming here anymore. The way you treat your customers matters.

Used to be a better establishment. The Rude behavior of the staff , the inconsistencies in pricing , even just the hours of operation… Shenanigans! Save your time and money.

This use to be a great place to dine..definitely reminds me of my hometown, I've been coming here for 10yrs. But the customer service I received today was horrible and I will not be a return customer 😢. In these times please BE KIND to people young lady(cashier) you never know what people are going thru. You not only made a classic sandwich wrong but I gave you grace and you were still RUDE.

Our go-to for Gyros is also one of the best burger places in town. Be sure to try a double cheeseburger and fries

I've been coming here ever since I was about 5 years old and the food has always been great. You will come here hungry and leave with a full belly guaranteed. Definitely give their gyro plate a try and order a few extra pitas so you can use all of the meat.

Food was good but the service was not too friendly and it was my first time there. Every time my mom would ask a question about one of their meals or food products the young gentleman who took our order would roll his eyes like it was a bother to him. Would not recommend

ABSOLUTE BEST GYRO IVE EVER TASTED. NOT FROM AREA, BUT WILL BE BACK! HUGE SELECTION ON MENU. CANT WAIT TO TRY IT ALL. Thanks to the friendly staff as well. Great service.

This was the best gyro I've ever had! The service was fantastic, food was fast! I live an hour and a half away and I plan to make the trip back. It was that good!

Hands down best place to get yourself a fat burger!! I've been coming here for the past 10 years and they never disappoint me with their burgers. Way better than BK I believe.

I was anticipating good rib tips. They have good ribs or did at one time. My pita bread was burned and so were the rib tips. The kid working there knew it because of his smirking smile. I will never buy here again. I am done.

They don’t wear gloves. Way overpriced! Service stinks! Workers are rude! Too many better gyro places around town. This place has gone downhill

Five stars are not enough! This is THE BEST for gyros! Travel FT and only get to Elkhart once a year. First place I go to is here. Owner was super nice; always ordered family gyros but commented that I heard rib tips were great and he let me try them. Wow! Terrific! Next time I will order both! Can’t go wrong with this place. Love it!!

These people just gave me a whole plate of burnt lamb meat...never would I eat here again...they nasty

I was rudely ignored while unapologetically the server took a order on the phone, then after asking my order...had the ordacity to tell me the boss told me to do it in that order. I quickly refrain from ordering and will not visit this store again. My hope is that the boss didn't actually say that.

Used to be a great locally owned gyro spot. However I think just like the rest of the service/restaurant industry this place went downhill once the younger work force took over. Door says they open at 11am. Didn't even set up shop til 11:10am. Just to be nice? I waited to go in til 11:20. Once inside I saw they didn't have gyro meat on warmer yet...tryed to order rib tips(which is supposed to be daily special) but the said it would be hours til would be ready. Wanted to substitute fried mushrooms for my fries...told me that couldn't be done. I was willing to pay the up charge since that is common practice but apparently that is too difficult for them to handle. If your restaurant opens a said time, typically the staff is there at least 2 hrs early to prep for the day....not 5 min before posted opening. Guy running the place acted like I was putting him out trying to spend my money at said establishment. Sadly this is the norm nowadays. So sad.

My first Visit to George's Gyros.... Excellent Gyro, very Generous with the meat way more than enough for one. Had to order A Xtra pita. Loved it will be back before we leave town. I eat here twice a week. The food is satisfying and not overly priced plenty of variety. My personal favorit is the gyro with extra pita and extra feta.

The food is 5 star worthy. I’ve had it as takeout. Loved it so much, that I wanted to cater my office for lunch with something from this establishment. We’ve been featuring small businesses since COVID-19 to help local restaurants. Giving 3 stars for the absolutely terrible experience with the owner. I originally called last week and was told “it’s lunch. I can’t talk right now. Can you call back at 2:30?” I really can’t call between 8-12 or 1-5 most days in my line of work so I asked if I could get an email address to establish communication. Nope. Asked if I could send a message on Facebook messenger. Nope. Just call back at 2:30 or 4:30.... again I was honest and said I really wanted to order but I’m not sure it going to work if that’s the only way I can place an order. Now mind you, I’m not being super friendly because I’m slightly annoyed with this message and the way is being delivered (wouldn’t you be) but I’m also NOT being rude. At this time I’m also told it’s far in advance to place my order. Afternoon goes by and I couldn’t call when asked so I call the next day....also not a good time for owner so I call again the next day and he’s in the bathroom. Staff member asks if I can call back and I’m like “can he call me back” and I’m just asked again “well, can you call back?” Ok.....call back. He’s busy again. I attempt 2 more times without success. So I call back today and finally get him right at 4:45. I’m so excited and he then tells me he needs 2 days to make this order. My exact response - again, not rude but not happily in a sing-song manner was “ok....but just so you know this is the same person who kept calling last week trying to on place the lunch order...(he doesn’t respond with the pause)..so I guess no thanks...?” His response was “oh yeah, we don’t want their business.” It’s 2021....we really should’ve been able to have an exchange about this order in a simple written format which would’ve saved us both the frustration or another staff member should be able to take a message about a catering order for someone to call back about. Glad this business is doing so great it doesn’t need my money, but hoping they can improve this aspect of it.

Love from New York! Stopped in today for the first time. The environment was warm and inviting. We opted to try a BBQ Beef Gyro (🤤🤤🤤) and a bbq chicken jump off. The counter guy, who happens to also be the owner, was super friendly and engaging. The prices were spot on. This establishment practices COVID measures. If you’re in Elkhart, stop by and give these guys a spin. You wont be disappointed. Id post a picture but.... 😬😬🤷🏽‍♂️ there’s nothing left. I live in Rochester NY, when im back, im back at your place. From one restaurant owner to another, good job.

Love this locally owned restaurants. We came here for gyros a few times a year until recently when I changed jobs that was closer. I've been here for lunch multiple times in my first few weeks on the job. For $8.06 (includes tax) you can get a jr gyro, double cheeseburger, or 2 hot dogs, a ton of fries, and a drink, you can't beat that deal anywhere. The restaurant is clean and every time I've been in here someone has cleaned tables while I was there. I can't recommend this place enough.

The smell upon entering is wonderful! First time there for a quick business lunch. We tried a Greek and Gyro salad and a Souvlaki plate. Both prepared quickly and lots of food. If I lived nearby I would eat here weekly. Super nice people working and since you order at the counter it’s quick.

Being from Chicago myself i love to come to a restaurant that gives me that hometown feeling... love how they have the walls covered in Chicago sports teams.. The food and service here is excellent.. The gyro plate is one of my favorites... also enjoy the Italian beef sandwich as well.. highly recommended this place.. If your in the area stop by..

I've been coming to George's for years and I love the atmosphere and food. Employees are always friendly and helpful.. and patient at times when I'm not sure which fantastic dish I'd like at the moment. Reasonably priced food with a nice variety and great specials everyday of the week. I love this restaurant and will continue to be a loyal customer. Thank you Niko for continuing your father's legacy. I hope to continue eating the delicious food here for years to come. Highly recommended if you're in the Elkhart area.

Sad that George isn't there anymore to greet us, but his son is doing a fine job. We love all their food. Not open on the weekend anymore either :( We are thankful they are still open at all.

Their Taco Gyro...I was still thinking of it days later. My God I dont know what they did different but it was something out of a dream. Something like this...this Gyro but a Taco instead but not all the way a Taco... my God it was incredible.

This would be 5 stars if their fries were better. I couldn't eat mine. The gyros and rib tips are off the chain. Get extra pita bread and cucumber sauce.

When I worked in Elkhart, I used to have lunch here once or twice a week every week for a couple years. They have the best gyros in the area that are made to order, big chunks of feta, and generous portions of meat. Still head there for dinner every so often. I dream about this food (and the fries!)

Everytime I go here I get the Gyro Platter with an extra Pita. Everytime it's amazing. I have never regretted eating here ever. Try George's you wont regret it.

Such a comdortable environment full of locals. The food is wonderful. The owner and staff are very accommodating. My 5 year old asks for extra (fill in the blank) and is greeted with a smile and extra pickles, peppers, whatever he asks.we always find dining out at George's a treat!
