Very busy coffee shop! The coffee is incredible, and I wanted to go back for more, so I get why they were slammed. The customer service was lacking as I felt like we were rushed and weren't properly greeted. I understand what it's like working a busy counter. However, all customers should be treated as if they're welcome. Despite that, I would go back. My iced latte was top-notch, and I'm interested in trying some of their food options.

Ordered two oat milk lattes and finished or doughboy from next door. The coffees were good. The staff was friendly and even a bit chatty. The photos on the walls are beautiful 😍 kudos to the photographer.

Not kidding…this was the best breakfast drink I’ve ever had. One of the specials was the Black Bear (IIRC), and it was a mocha blackberry drink. It sounded strange at first, but I enjoy trying creative drinks. If you see that written on the board when you walk in, just go ahead get it. Such a good balance of flavors.

Bustling coffee shop/cafe with yummy sandwiches. I had Tony Soprano which was very tasty and a good choice. My son got the. Pastrami & Swiss which had more lettuces and onions than pastrami meat IMO. We’re planning to go back for the coffee and breakfast as the choices looked really good.

Had an awesome club sandwich on a perfect gluten-free roll. My wife had a turkey-guac also on the gluten-free roll. SO good. Fresh, high-quality ingredients. Excellent service. Great music and vibe. Quite pricey though, so be ready for that. Still, totally worth it for REAL food. 5 stars all day long!

Even though the place is usually packed, the waiting times are minimal, like fast food but with a very high quality that I loved and made me comeback almost every week while working on a cruise. Super filling!!

I’m a sucker for a cold brew, but love me a latte too. While on our trip I stumbled on Glacial and so glad I went inside. It was so busy, but they were efficient and I was even able to snag a seat. I loved my honey bear latte and was bummed I didn’t have room in my luggage to take home some beans or a shirt. I crammed that sucker full. If you aren’t a coffee fan don’t fret. They also offer smoothies, soda, some food items as well. Service was great. Be prepared to wait if you’re there will the cruise ships.

The best coffee in Skagway, the Vanilla Honey Bear Latte is a definite must try!! You won't be disappointed!! The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

I really loved the atmosphere! There was a line but they did an amazing job at getting everyone’s order out fast. I ended up getting the white chocolate mocha and hubby got the honey bear and we both love it! Go ahead and check them out! 😊

Stoped in for Coffee and support the town by ordering breakfast. I’m a vegetarian and they had many options. Had the breakfast burrito and it was delicious. Big enough for my husband and I to share. I recommend supporting small businesses so stop in, you won’t be disappointed

A wonder local cafe in Skagway. Breakfast sandwich was delicious and the espresso based drinks were hot! They also have sugar free hazelnut syrup which you don’t see often!

At 9:30am, nothing else is open. So, of course you have to go to the local coffee shop. I have to eat gluten free, as most of my followers know. I was prepared to just order a coffee and the parfait. Lo and behold, they offer an array of sandwiches made on site, and offer gluten free rolls!! My husband ordered the breakfast sandwiches, one bacon and one sausage. They looked like McDonald's egg mcmuffins. And he said they were good but nothing special. However, I ordered a sandwich. The pastrami and cheese on gluten free bun with extra mayo. It was so delicious! I also ordered a hot pumpkin spice latte, which was also very good. Take time out and grab a coffee and/or sandwich.

Cute little coffee shop just a quick walk from the port. It was busy with multiple ships in town but we still found a place to sit and wait for our drinks. Ordering was quick and it didn’t take long to get our yummy dirty chai’s. For sure will make a point to stop by next time we sail this way. 🚢❤️

Opening at 06:00am was just what I needed today. Ordered coffee ☕️ and their version of a Sausage, Egg & Cheese McMuffin. I was a happy camper!

Glacier Cafe has the best breakfast and lunch options in town. I went there almost every day over my 5 day stay in Skagway. They open early for breakfast, and everything I tried (breakfast sandwich, breakfast wrap, bagels) was really, really good. Service was fast too. I tried the turkey sun-dried tomato sandwich for lunch, and their tropical smoothie. Both were great (although smoothie is a little bit expensive). I tried a couple of other options in town for breakfast, and lunch, but Glacier Cafe was fastest, best tasting and consistent.

The smoothies were very good, club sandwiches tasty and the breakfast sandwiches the next day great.

Great start to the day! Off the cruise we need some coffee and hot chocolate for the kids. My wife loved the coffee and 2 kids and Dad loved the hot chocolate! Amazing Hot chocolate! Put it on the list before you venture out from the city. Grab a fried dough next door too!!!!!! Wow!

Probably the best option for coffee in Skagway. Large cafe with plenty of seating. Lots of different coffee options, and there’s a full food menu too. Coffee is great ! And service is super friendly.

The place to go for coffee/espresso and breakfast sandwiches (and wraps). I swear Skagway runs on Glacial's sausage/egg/cheese muffins. Plus, they feature prints by local artists on their walls.

This place was our first stop in town and it did not disappoint! I had the honey bear latte, orange cranberry muffin and sunrise bagel. Everything was great, but I did get a second muffin. They were fresh and cooked to perfection!

Fantastically cute and cozy half local/half touristy coffee spot right off main street. Had the chai latte which was amazing! Recommend to stop in a try something, it all looked and smelled great and it had a nice little feel to sit and enjoy the place for a little while.

Not many options for espresso in skagway, but this is one! Decent coffee and excellent smoothies! Not the best coffee shop vibe, but you can’t really be picky in such a small town. On busy ship days, the place is pure chaos and it’s much more of a grab and go place than somewhere to sit and enjoy.

Don't go to Skagway during the cruse ships are in town. There were 4 ships at the harbor, and the food and coffee were in high demand. The burrito was not so good and the coffee was very watered-down.

Stopped here on our way out of Skagway as we were driving to Emerald Lake. Easy to park right in front. Lots of tasty options. We chose frappes, waters, and the Fancy Egg Bagel. OMG, it was one of the best bagel sandwiches we ever had. Also got some cinnamon scones. The flavor was good but they were a bit dry. Great place to start our trip!!! Clean bathrooms and great artwork inside.

We ran in here to grab some quick to go sandwiches before getting on the train. The staff was super friendly and efficient and getting us out the door before the train left. The sandwiches were amazing!!! My 10 year old daughter claims that the turkey and sun dried tomato sandwich is “the best sandwich” she’s ever had. Definitely would return!

I was just passing through, but this place caught my eye for mich needed coffee. There's not many ways to make a coffee, but somehow, I always make it complicated. However, the lady who rang me up did an AMAZING job. I wanted actual coffee, not this foofoo milk stuff kids drink now a days, with just a splash of cream to protect the stomach. And I wanted a cold drink, but not watered down with ice, and I wanted to actually have a drink, not a cup of ice. And then we decided to add Carmel bc what the hell. Great call, and the ratios were perfect, especially bc I added my own cream, which seems to have gone away after covid. Overall pricey, but for a small town with great service, I didn't mind paying the $9 for the small drink (plus add in). They were very busy and line out the door, but orders were taken swiftly (even with all the discussion). The wait to get the drink took a bit, and there isn't much room inside. I think I got there as a cruise let out, so maybe it was more busy than usual for a Sunday. Would definitely recommend if you need coffee in town, based on service alone.

Latte and cappuccino were the worst we ever had. Staff was unfriendly and unwilling to remake, which is a first. Never had such a bad experience before at a coffee shop.

I ordered a latte, which I had to wait in a very long time for. The latte came out like this picture...a whole cup of milk with a single shot of espresso lost in there somewhere and I couldn't taste anything. When I asked the barista to try to redo the lattee, she argued with me on how it looks fine and refused to help. Horrible experience ! I love coffee and if you do too...skip this place and save you $$ and drink the one on the cruise. The cruise one is better and with better service.

We were in port for the day. We wondered by and decided to grab some coffee. After looking at the menu and realizing that they had gluten free bun options we had to order lunch! I ordered a club on gluten free buns and the sandwich was amazing! My husband had the veggie wrap and said it was really good! I’ve thought about that sandwich many times since arriving home in Arkansas. Thank you Glacial Coffeehouse!

Terrible service. The young lady making the drinks was very rude and was not willing to fix the order she wrongly made. I do not recommend. Instead of correcting her mistake, I was told to pay for a new drink on behalf of her mistake.

This coffee shop is the shizzzzz! Best in Skagway FOR sure! I went every morning while I was there! It’s super cute, a good place to open up the laptop and get some work or if I was local, This is for sure where I’d be meeting up with my buds to plan our next adventure day🤘

Went to Glacial Coffeehouse on a Sunday and it was kind busy but no huge line up. The lady who took our order is efficient but not friendly. The lady whom my husband was trying to get her attention so he can change my order to decaf, did not attend to him even though my husband already made an eye contact to her. Coffee is good brownies 3 stars maybe. Store and bathroom not clean. I will give 4 stars to the coffee and their accuracy.

Dare I say.. Best coffee shop in all of Alaska?! Baristas take pride in what they make, have an excellent selection of treats, and have some interesting merchandise. Love that the baristas are chatty and engage with the tourists. If we had more time, would have loved to curl up with a book in the back while mainlining espressos.

We were visiting Skagway as part of a cruise and killing time before heading back to the ship. Ship board coffee was proving such a disappointment, so we headed into the Glacial to find something more palatable. We weren't the only ones, they were doing a brisk trade and I did rather worry that their regulars must groan when the ships come in. That said the staff were friendly and welcoming and the coffee hot and tasty. There seemed to be some tasty looking snacks but we just stuck with coffee. Just down a side street, you might miss it if you stick to the main street attractions, but well worth a visit.

What a sandwich. Grabbed a bit to eat while waiting for our tour to start. I got the Turk Bac Club and my wife got the Turk Pesto. That was one amazing sandwich. You can taste the fresh Turkey, definitely not store deli slice, but real oven baked Turkey. Soft bread. I would recommend anyone looking for a quick bite to try this place. They are fast as well. Maybe 5 min from order to food and they where packed, no tables left and a line out the door.

The smoothies were good. The food was alright. 3 sandwiches and 2 smoothies were over $60 USD, which I feel was a little too much for what we received. However, they were open, when other places were still closed.

This was our very first stop in Skagway. The breakfast bagels were very fresh, and the coffees/teas served nice and hot. A great spot to grab a quick bite, and still open close to end of season.

Great options for a quick Breakfast and Lunch. The busy summer tourist months keeps this place slammed, but the team at Glacial Coffeehouse get the job done!! They are all very hardworking, and make a yummy Tony Soprano sandwich (Hot pepperoni, salami and swiss cheese, with banana peppers, red onions and pesto aioli, on toasted ciabatta). Check this place out when your in Skagway Alaska!

This is really the only place I like to eat at in skagway. It's not horribly high prices and the food is good. Nothing special about the place. Just good drinks and nice workers. This is the only place in skagway I can actually recommend. Don't go to any other restaurant.

I wanted to love this place again, was here in 2014, it just isn’t what it used to be. I received the wrong order multiple times and the coffee was burnt more often than not. Not sure if there was a change in owners or management, but the quality was not present this season.

Gave this places too many chances. My coffee always tastes burnt. For their prices you’d think they could at least not burn their coffee. The food depending on the day can be good. Most of the time it does come out cold even after I’ve asked for it to be warmed up or toasted. If you want to get a nice drink and good food in the morning go to Bites on Broadway! They never disappoint and the owners are incredibly nice! I can’t say the same thing for Glacial Coffeehouse.

The smoothies were yummy! And the Breakfast Burrito really hit the spot - and was a very filling meal. The place was obviously a local favorite and I can see why. Good selection of coffee, tea, smoothies, and yummy breakfast and sandwich options.

Really happy we stopped here. They seemed to be the only people that welcomed us, party of 9, and were able to serve us. Good food, coffee, and excellent peanut butter smoothie.

We stopped at the Glacial Coffeehouse when touring Skagway in August 2022. We gabbed a few sandwiches (Pastrami Swiss and Chicken Sun-dried tomatoes), a speciality mocha, and an iced tea. The food and drinks arrived quickly and greatly exceeded our expectations. We will stop here again the next time we visit.

This place is a monument to how breakfast bagels should be made. 10/10

Coming off a cruise ship, we were really lamenting the lack of great coffee and wholesome goodness on-board. Glacial hit the mark to fill the need. We had gotten off the boat at first opportunity and that had us in-town enjoying coffee with the locals. We followed them in. Coffee was great by any standard - not just by cruise ship standard. The winner, however, were the smoothies. After yearning for a nice protein smoothie for days, my travel buddy found exactly what she wanted here and then happily bounced her way energetically through the day. As a space, it has a perfect blend of conversation buzz and sit-by-yourself quiet. After a lovely walk-through of tiny little Skagway, this was a perfect place to put down for a few minutes of "normal." I even found myself mulling the question - could this be a new normal? Go, enjoy.
