I've been coming here since I was young, I've always been met with such sweet and kind people. I've always loved their food and growing up they were genuinely my favorate resteraunt to go to. The atmosphere is calming and the art works and scenery always have my attention. I wish more people saw this places potential. I still go to there to this day, its really an amazing place, I roccomend it to people looking for something savory yet filling to eat

Came into get Chinese food, we are from out of town, im not one to give bad reviews but we wont be going back.... * The portions are really tiny, * Seem to have frozen food, not good * service was horrible, they seemsed not happy to be at work * not recommended

You figure early after a restaurant opens at 3 p.m. the food would be fresh yet this order seemed like yesterdays left overs. Double sticks were very dry and tough to eat, pu pu platter small and also very dry and extremely small. Don't mind paying $40 if food is fresh yet this is awful. Never going there again

Good food but $30 for 1 beef lo mein and crab rangoons is ridiculous prices online don't match what they are currently charging.

Excellent chicken chow mein and chicken lo mein.

No buffet, as advertised. Food was luke warm at best. Pop was watered down and tea was not definable and with no matter how much sugar, could not drink it. Love Chinese, but cannot recommend.

- Food was VERY bland, even with two bowls' worth of chili oil. - Stuffy atmosphere - low lighting - Service was okay: not good or bad. - Egg rolls and won tons tasted like old fryer oil. - All in all, I would take your money someplace else.

I got take out the food wasnt that good at all and the portions are tiny, the wonton soup sucked it was gross I would never get their food again

The waitress was rude. Bathrooms was not clean. Felt sick after I ate there. Chicken was hard.

The buffet wasn’t open. The wontons were good, and very crispy, but the sweet and sour sauce is pretty nasty IMO. Food was very hot, in contrast to other reviews talking about room temp food. Coming from the Twin Cities, the food definitely wasn’t to the standards that I know, but also I don’t think that a random Chinese restaurant in a rural area should be put to those standards. I can imagine the buffet being quite tasty, but if you’re on a roadtrip, I would just recommend going somewhere else. If you’re vegetarian, your options are vegetables, or mock duck.

my parents live in spearfish and they took me here I had the chicken curry ate it all was very delicious waitress was top notch makes you feel like your at home great place highly recommend

This place is not good the food is not good the chicken tastes fake and I ate my whole meal before the waitress even came back to my table. Would not tell anyone to eat here go to Walmart and get frozen food it's better and way cheaper.

We always dine in. Great place for Chinese food. The Mongolian beef is really good and you can't go wrong with anything off the chicken items. For an appetizer I would say try the pu-pu platter this way you can try more then one thing.

We ordered the sesame chicken and the orange chicken; both were excellent with lunch portions "just right" ...not too much and not too little. Service was friendly and fast. We highly recommend!

The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was clean, and the waitress provided quick service. The food was room temperature, but it tasted decent. I have to give the restaurant two stars because I experienced food poisoning. Please properly heat your dishes to kill any bacteria, thank you.

Food was cold, chicken extremely chewy as well had no flavor until I soaked it in sweet and sour sauce. Not worth trying!

Our waitress was very nice and was talking to us a lot. We are from out of town and wanted to get some Chinese. The food came out a little cold, which seems weird since it is made to order instead of the buffet. Prices were fine, but a little much for how little food we received. Would have provided more than 3 stars if better quality food and to not charge a credit card processing fee. Added 3 extra dollars due to it.

Coal isn't sure about crab rangoons, but the adults love'em. Coal likes is veggies "audente." It's probably just the teething phase, but we hope not. The Mom enjoyed her egg drop soup with (dad can't remember). The Jae enjoyed soup; her almond chicken... Finally, Gramps dined on some General Tso chicken and fried rice.

Meal and service was good and reasonably priced.

No longer have buffet. Even supper menu was small portions and pricy,everyone left still hungry.

I went for lunch, no hi or smile from my waitress. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken lunch special, there is no lunch buffet. The sauce on my meal had a strange taste, and look, that I've never had before. The pieces of chicken were like tiny droppings from the bottom of the barrel, the peanuts were soft, I ate a few of the vegs, the white rice, and the egg roll. Unfortunately I won't be back.

In 3 days had lunch and dinner 3 times, great place to eat with the whole family, foo is delicious, lots of variety dishes, also the decorations of inside the restaurant are first class, Please go see and taste for your self to appreciate it.

We went to eat here for the first time my sister got broccoli beef and has food poisoning….

We ordered beef with broccoli and sesame chicken. But they were more like beef with broccoli soup and sesame chicken soup. The food was so runny and swimming in the sauce. Hardly any beef that I can count and the food was not even filled to the top of the container. The sesame chicken was very chewy and plastic taste. For the price I would expect better.

Food was ok, got the orange chicken and generals and they pre prepared the chicken then warm it up in the sauce you want. Never had sliced chicken breast in a generals chicken before. Flavor was good enough to go back. Service was quick and punctual.

The food was cold, and the service took forever. All of the employees we talked to were short and grumpy. If you are going to be a server, learn to have customer service.

For twice the price you get half the food; wish it was like rapid where you get your moneys worth. Lunch & Dinner prices are 1$ difference but comes with a cup of soup. Jade Palace will let u fill ur tray at the buffet, full to the top w/soup on the side. Golden Dragon is a good place to eat if your in a pinch. 🙌🙏😇🤞

Fast and wonderful teriyaki chicken

This first experience was amazing! I didn’t have to wait long for my seat and the food came out 5 mins after ordering and it was HOT!!! I will recommend this restaurant to anyone that asks about a good place to eat! Will say the staff are very friendly and very fast!

Excellent food, hot & sour soup was especially flavorful with a bit of bite, but not too spicy. Sweet and sour pork, and the orange beef where excellent. Very friendly service.

One of my favorite restaurants since I was a child. We made the 45 mile drive to eat here as a family. Great service and great staff!

Pay $77 for $18 worth of food. Quality is poor, the won ton soup with a platter has a whopping 1 wonton in it, 6 pieces of chicken in an adult meal. Go elsewhere or be disappointed.

The best crab Rangoon’s and the best pork fried rice in the state. Great dine-in service and speedy delivery! My go to restaurant in Spearfish!

These folks are apparently fascinate with celery. Both my Kung Pao medley an the wife's Chicken w Broccoli were loaded with large chunks an quantities of slice celery. An the Kung Pao became a search for actual peanuts in the mix. Nowhere near as spicy as Kung Pao should be. The protein was rather scarce in both dishes as there was plenty of filler veggies (and celery, celery, celery). Pretty average Chinese food.

My mom and her boyfriend decided to visit and we decided to get some Chinese. This was the closest restaurant. We came in and the waitress wasn't the friendliest person in the world. The food was NOT good! I've never had worst Chinese in my life! The portions were tiny! I ordered General Tso Chicken and was brought out a plate with 6 or 7 tiny pieces of chicken and a bowl of rice. My mom ordered the orange chicken. Same thing. We get the bill for the two orders of chicken, a plate of lo mein noodles, pot stickers, and an order of happy family. The bill totalled $64!!!! Why!? Gross and wayyy over priced!

We ordered take out and the food wasn't bad. We were a little hesitant to order because of the reviews but the food was good. Not great but for the price we can't complain. The spicy chicken dish is not spicy at all. We will try it again.

My husband and I LOVE this Chinese food restaurant! The owner, Michelle, has always been kind and helpful when we order. Their buffet (when they had one - thanks COVID!!) was always fresh. Dine-in and take-out are both delicious!

Good food still, this was my first place to have Chinese food from back when I went to college in town in the 90's.

My husband loves this place. I am not from here but Every time I go through Spearfish I have to stop to get his Mongolian beef in wonton soup. Do you have amazing lady that is there usually always knows his order for me.

Not good. Some of the food was good but half of it was cold and couldn't tell the difference between Gen tso's chicken and orange chicken. Still spent over $40 on 2 people. Filled up on rice and lo mein.

Let me tell you: I must have been a nightmare customer, and they made me feel welcome. I thought the store closed at 9:30, so I went in with a friend at around 8:50. It turns out, they closed at 9. So I came in 10 minutes before close, ordered a massive meal, and paid. The lady was so kind and rushed back to grab the cooks before they left. She was incredibly kind the entire time. They gave me loads of sweet and sour and some of the best soup I have ever tasted. Everyone there was incredibly understanding even though I came in so late. This business deserves all the support in the world! The people that work here are amazing and kind people. 10/10 on the food, customer service, and the short wait. Would eat here again.

I ordered a veggie plate with pineapple and fried rice and asked for slightly spicy. Soup doesn’t come with the order. It was one of the smallest plate of food I’ve ever seen at a restaurant. The egg roll was half the size of other places. The food wasn’t spicy at all and it was rather bland. It was clean and the waitress was nice.

Overall, disappointed with the meals. Ordered several, at about $13 per dinner. Beware, their "Cashew Chicken" is not with fried rice and there are about 5 cashews and very little chicken. Every time from other Chinese restaurants it is not a white dish, but rather lots of chicken, cashews, and reddish fried rice. I would name it Chinese slosh. The other meals were better, but the serving sizes were less and the rice was flavorless/plain than other chinese restaurants I've experienced. The egg rolls were good. Basically, I will never go back as the value just was not evident for the money spent.

EXCELLENT! Everyrhing had it's own flavor and that's a great change for me. Very happy to find this reasonably priced, friendly, helpful and satisfying place.

There was a recent review that said this place was the best chinese in the state of south Dakota and I believe it to be possibly true was every good dinner and we all agreed it was quite good.

Two of us for lunch. Both had lunch specials. Small portions of entree and rice, when compared to other Asian lunch specials. Also entree not hot all the way through. 7 Small shrimp. Just ok. Won’t be back.

Closed for dine in only open for take out and delivery I believe. For better or worse the traditional dishes tasted very different from other similar restaurants in the area and elsewhere. Probably not what most people would be expecting. Not bad just different. Support our local businesses.

People who work there are very nice, they remember past customers, food quantities are great for the price, favorite Chinese place in western SD.

A fantastic Chinese Restaruant! They have some of the most delicious hot tea I’ve had at a Chinese Restaruant, and it compliments the food nicely. There is a lot on the menu, and it all tastes very nice. I can’t get enough of those egg rolls! Beautiful atmosphere, and a kind wait staff!

Went here based on a friend's recommendation. I had the Kung Pao Chicken, more like chicken drenched in soy sauce. My wife had the buffet, looked good, but upset her stomach after about an hour. The buffet desserts were very stale. The waitress was disinterested to say the least. Best to go to Burger King or Guadalajara.
