Good food with good prices! The restaurant was very busy with takeout orders, so our order took longer than usual, but the lovely lady working gave us extra food to compensate our wait!

My favorite Chinese spot in wilksborough - I drive a half hour each way from home to grab food from them.

This place is a family favorite!!! The food is excellent quality and flavor. The prices are very reasonable. I have never had to wait more than 25 minutes for my order to be ready. All the food is made to order. The owner is super nice and very helpful. The atmosphere is great if you dine in. All my kids have a favorite on the menu and it satisfies everyone. The portions are great and we always have leftovers. This is a top quality Chinese restaurant with great food!

I’ve been going here for a while now and nothing has gone wrong the lady giving orders/taking them is super nice,she always is in a good mood and working hard. This is a great place to eat.

Stopped by for lunch at take out on the way fishing. The menu states that the lunch special comes with your choice of a spring roll or wonton on the side. My complaint is that we got neither. Had I known I wasn't going to get a spring roll with my plate I would have ordered one on the side! You don't get the sweet friendly Chinese ladies you get at most places. This lady looks like she runs a Mafia or something, very serious

I've dined in and pick up, been dining here for years. Always have an excellent experience. The staff remembers you and your order. Food is great, large amount, and great price given every restaurant has increased their prices due to the economy. Love this place for great Chinese food.

My recent visit left me unimpressed. The food lacked flavor, and the excessive oiliness was off-putting. Freshness seemed nonexistent, and authenticity was missing.

walked in with someone with a medical condition who really needed to use the restroom, was told we had to order before using the restroom and then proceeded to racially profile us and watched to make sure we didn’t leave by forcing the one with the medical condition to stay in the facility while the others went to get money to make a purchase before leaving.

Good food and reasonably priced.

While the food IS the best Chinese in Wilkes and I truly adore their kind staff, they really need to update their contact methods. More than one phone line is a great start. Many, many times I can just not get through to place an order, so I have to order elsewhere. They don't offer online ordering, which is just fine, but with the heavy customer traffic in store and via phone with the phone line always busy, it can be super frustrating. While it is my favorite Chinese restaurant, I rarely get eat here unless I walk in to order because I can't get through on their busy phone line. Much love though! I guess it's a good problem to have!

Waiting for over an hour for food. Very very very slow af. No structure for service. I hope the food ain't cold.... Might just leave.

I have been going to golden wok for a really long time and I have never been disappointed! their food is always FRESH and is always filled with flavor. If you are looking for a Chinese restaurant that severs good food then this is the ONE. I admit they have a bit of a wait time but it’s definitely worth the wait!

I do not know what the difference is between your egg rolls and the others in town but hands down absolutely the best. Never change this item. The other ones in town are dry and nasty!!!

The food has always been good, but the girl that answered the phone today was extremely rude. I've never been spoke to this way buy someone that works at a restaurant. Maybe she was having a bad day, but that's still no excuse.

Their food is good but lately I’ve had to go elsewhere due to them never answering the phone ever just get the voice mail and we can’t just go in and order cause even calling 30-45 mins beforehand you still have to wait another 30-45 mins when you get there they need more help or better management or something

Worst Chinese food ever. Fried rice so spicy that it burned going down. Orange chicken made with dark chicken meat with coating that almost impossible to chew. Beef and brocolli had very little beef. Go someplace else. Very disappointed...

Delicious! Wonton and egg drop soups were very flavorful. We had General Tso’s Chicken and Shrimp with garlic sauce. Both were excellent! Will be back!

This is my absolute favorite place to eat in wilkesboro. The employees always so polite and go beyond for their customers. They know I always order the steam dumplings, which is a must try! Great food with big quantities! I’ll stay a loyal customer to golden wok!

i never leave reviews BUT this is my favorite chinese restaurant in wilkes and has never let us down. the woman that works the cashier is amazing and so so sweet. 10/10 recommend

Sha Cha chicken very bland, way too many vegetables, food was hot and packed well. We won't be returning here.

Solid 4.5+ place to eat for sure! The chicken wings were some of the best I’ve had, large portions of chicken fried rice (although I wish it had a bit more chicken), and the egg rolls were delicious and fresh. We recently moved here so this is the first time trying it. We will certainly be back!

Called my food in got there still not ready, finally got home with it. Soup cold, orange chicken like warm , egg rolls hot???

This takeout Chinese had pretty good food and really good wonton soup. They get very busy, so phone in your order in advance.

I love the food here! You get a big portion of food. The lady is always working hard when I go into pick up my order. It's very clean place too.

I have only eaten her once, so keep this in mind.. The usual Chinese takeout restaurant in a strip mall, prices are what you expect, fairly cheap for what you get. Covid safety parameters were surprisingly top notch. Many establishments could be more like Golden Wok. Service with a smile. Be friendly, speak English. 5 stars

As long as we live in Wilkesboro and they remain open, we will only ever get our Chinese food from Golden Wok. The food is consistently great and the owner is the nicest person around. She always recognizes me. She even asks me how my mom is, who has visited from time to time, so you know she cares about her customers enough to really get to know them. She also goes above and beyond to correct mistakes. Yes, the wait time may be long, but the food and service are worth it.

Tried 4 dishes at Golden Wok all were very tasty. The vegetables in each dish still had a crunch which was nice...not over cooked like many Chinese carry outs. The servings were large for lunch portions. They are located near Wal-Mart in Wilkesboro.

I wish I could give these people five stars since the food and all are excellent. Be aware of the long waiting time!

This is what I always imagine and hope Chinese food to be! I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their food & generous portions. The food isn't overly greasy like I've gotten from plenty of Chinese restaurants before. The staff was also very nice and wore masks. I got the Singapore chow mein fun & it had awesome flavor and perfect level of heat. My nephews also loved their shrimp fried rice and lomein. I'll definitely be coming back here!

I love this place, best Chinese in Wilkesboro! But let me explain why I gave 4 stars. This place takes a LONG time to get your food ready. The quality of the food gives them 5 stars, but I took 1 star away for the long wait times. I'm still willing to drive past another Chinese restaurant to get to this one. I definitely recommend, just be prepared to wait for it.

This place was AMAZING. The food and service was great. The portions are large. They were very covid-19 safe and took EVERY precaution. Will definitely be back.

I grew up in NYC and have been to Chinatown in 5 cities and countless other Chinese restaurants, both sit down and takeout. Golden Wok has the best wonton soup I've ever had. Rich broth and extremely tasty wontons. The fried noodles that are provided as accompaniment are the wide type. Bravo Golden Wok. There other food is also delicious.

Best Chinese food in town and its not even close. We go here often and they recognize us, or me, every time I go in. I have tried every Chinese restaurant in town and none compare to the great taste and customer service that are here. From sesame chicken to chicken fried rice, its all good. I would definitely recommend giving them a try.

I stop in for egg rolls any time I'm up this way. Lady behind the counter always remembers what I order! Super friendly and the food is amazing for a good price. Takes a few minutes to get your order but most of the menu items are prepared when ordered. Their health department grade is always high.I highly recommend

La comida siempre es increíble, caliente y fresca, y abundante por los excelentes precios. A veces hay que esperar un poco más porque siempre están ocupados, pero vale la pena esperar y dice mucho de lo maravillosa que es la comida.

I enjoyed the hot and sour soup. The soup had great flavour and everything on the menu seems reasonably priced. I will be heading back tonight. The restaurant is clean and staff were dressed in clean uniforms and service was timely.

Good food, Great service! Every time I call to place my order, the woman knows who I am just by my order. Pepper steak with $2 shrimp, extra egg roll.. it’s very filling and I usually have extra so I have plenty to make a couple of snacks out of. Thank you!!

Nice food very good food but need more space for people to sit and eat and they give you very little ketchup if you want lots ketchup you have to dam near bag them!!!

For another small Restaurant in a strip mall by a Walmart this little place has really good Chinese for a fair price.

The best hot Chinese food in n. wilkesboro . It may not look that great but the food is very good . And clean. Not like the rest of them most are very not kleen in the kitchen.

La cocina china se sirve rápida, caliente y muy sabrosa. Tuve el pollo anacardo y tenía un montón de anacardos y el pollo era muy sabrosa con un montón de ajo. Las albóndigas al vapor eran perfectas y el tamaño de la porción (6) era suficiente para que las compartieran dos personas.

The food is great, but sadly the speed of service. Not so, if your expecting to be out in like mins. Think again, even if you call it in. You're still there waiting and waiting. Dinner hrs are rather crowded that I barely go. But the food as said it wonderful. I had ordered my meal and paid up front, then went to the store to pick up some stuff, still not ready, then had my driver go get some gas which took him 20-30 mins. Still not ready. It took over 45 mins for just 2 plates and 2 egg rolls to be completed. :(
