I truly enjoyed returning here. It was once again a very relaxing and wonderful place to have a couple of glasses of wine. There is a great wine selection to choose from. The food portion of the menu is fabulous and delicious! To end our visit with some delicious chocolate was the finishing touch! Thank you to the owner. She was so charming. See you soon!!

I went here only to pick up cheese. I can’t eat cow dairy and the owner was so helpful to let me try the sheep options and to find me exactly what I needed to make my homemade pizza a success. Good customer service like this is hard to find. She was patient and kind. Highly recommend this little shop. Can’t speak on the restaurant part since I didn’t eat there.

My heart be still. This venue specializes in chocolate, cheese, and wine. I stopped in during a shopping day for a much needed chocolate break. I relaxed on an arm chair while I people watched and enjoyed the Christmas decor on San Antonio street. The chocolate was divine. I will most definitely be back and will bring friends. Every town should have a Gourmage.

This place is a joke. She didn’t even have the basic bri. She was also very Curt w me (Hispanic) and nice to my friend ( white). Because her cheese selection was a joke i reluctantly ordered the chicken salad on croissant. But they didn’t have a croissant so she put it on a baguette. It was literally the size of my small palm. The chicken tasted old. How do people like this stay in business? She was so dry and rude and the music was so loud it was hard to have a decent conversation. Just go to HEB ! Their chicken salad and cheese way better! Lmao I just can’t stop laughing at this place and the tiny sandwich and the lack of cheese ! Reading the other comments about how rude she is to Hispanics and in general I’m surprised she has any business at all

While browsing the shops in the center of New Braunfels, we stopped in to Gourmage just to see what they had to offer. They had a very interesting mix of offerings from cheese, to sausage, to nuts and bread…and wine and beer, of course. The very pleasant woman that we spoke to fixed us a plate of smoked cheese and sausage that was excellent, and even better once we added a beer. The perfect place for stop while shopping.

Lovely wine, cheese, and chocolate shop in New Braunfels. Lovely decor and space to sit back and enjoy the yummy selections inside the store. Perfect for a wine tasting or snack while out shopping in town. The owner was sweet and gave recommendations for cheese pairings and let us sample the cheeses before we bought them. I would come here again with some friends to hang out.

I’ve been here a few times and I’ve had such amazing experiences every single time. They’ve done some renovations since I’ve last been and it’s so much roomier and the service is unmatched.

I went to Gourmage for a wine night hosted by a Facebook friends group and it was such a good experience. The staff handled the large group of women wonderfully. They were friendly and helpful and there was hardly any wait even with all the people. I would definitely recommend for a girls night or I heard they also have classes that would be fun to try

We took a mozzarella making class here and enjoyed every minute of it! The instruction was thorough and easy to follow, and the finished product was delicious fresh mozzarella to take home. They have a wonderful selection of out-of-the-ordinary cheeses that will definitely elevate your palate. Charming atmosphere, good wine, and great gift items make Gourmage a New Braunfels gem.

Website says opens at 10:00 Saturday, not so it opens at 12:00 per sign on door. Wandered through downtown area for 2 hours. Once the shop opened It was disappointing. A small selection of cheese on display in case (maybe 10-12). Some wine on wall rack. Chocolates in another display case. This is more cafe like then cheese shop.

Good food, friendly service. Variety of gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches is good --bacon jam w/ Chimay cheese, proscuitto w/ Manchego cheese, rosemary and swiss and others are tasty and unique. A bit skimpy on the cheese, but good. UPDATE 2/12/21: Just picked up a lovely Valentine's Happy Hour charcuterie box plus prosecco. Everything is delicious and the presentation is great. Thank you, Gourmage! I'll be ordering this again!

Gormage Is an ABSOLUTE delight!! Proprietor, Stephanie Richardson, is a consummate host making sure that all the details have been attended. I joined a mozzarella making class at Gormage that was not only a BLAST but the best mozzarella I have ever had. Highly recommend it. Although operating with a skeletal staff and shortened hours, Stephanie continues to deliver stellar, consistent boxes and platters that truly brighten the day of anyone, especially in this bizarre time. Keep up the good work! Your pride shows everyday in every way!!

Gourmage is a wonderful asset of New Braunfels! They have great cheese, wine, charcuterie, chocolates and many other products. Great knowledgeable and personalized service too! Love visiting for happy hour or a snack and always leave with something extra from the shop. Can’t wait to go back.

Ok, al menos una vez al mes, mi mejor amigo y yo venimos aquí en thrifting. ¡Nos encanta el ambiente, es muy relajante! La música que tocan como Sinatra, Dean Martin y Bing Crosby simplemente se mezcla con la atmósfera. Tienen una gran selección de champanes Rose. ¡Nos encantan las tablas de quesos! Excellent cheese and wine at a good price.

Fui a Gourmage hace dos semanas y estaba muy emocionado de encontrar esta tienda y volver. Sin embargo, después de mi experiencia de ayer, nunca lo haré. La tienda en sí es muy bonita, con una pequeña selección de vinos, quesos y chocolates y debería ser muy atractiva. El empleado de ventas que trabajaba el turno de noche de 7/7/18, era extremadamente poco acogedor, de pie y desinteresado. Esta señora no tenía interés en explicar los productos, incluso después de que hiciéramos preguntas, sus respuestas fueron respuestas cortas de una palabra. Mi esposo y yo nos sentimos de esta manera y no podíamos esperar para salir de la tienda. Es muy decepcionante como dije antes, estaba tan emocionado de volver. Sin embargo, esta única experiencia me impedirá regresar.

I was at this wonderful little shop for a class on how to make mozzarella cheese. The lady teaching it was so nice and helpful. I never thought that I could make mozzarella cheese at home. They even have what you need there to start your cheese making. They sell wonderful wines cheese and chocolates

Gem downtown. Gourmet and artisan cheeses Had the cheese board - three of their selections with prosciutto (bacon's upscale cousin), grapes, walnuts, fresh baguette rounds and what may have been the best fig jam I've ever eaten. Better half had chicken salad croissant. Fresh and fabulous. If your in town don't miss it.

Nice assortment of wines and chocolates but also a great assortment of cheeses. Nice place to have a glass of wine, sandwich and maybe a chocolte truffel while you rest between stores.

I visit here at least once a week when in town. They take the grilled cheese sandwich to a whole new level. Add a glass of wine, end your meal with a piece of chocolate and lunch becomes an experience, not simply a meal.

Nice little place but with many fewer cheeses than they claim on their website. Very helpful but if looking for something in particular call ahead to avoid disappointment.

Very good quality, excellent service

This is a cheese shop with so much else to offer - nice light lunch selections, try their chicken salad or their thick wild mushroom soup. Their sandwiches on sourdough bread are especially good and they have baguettes you can buy. There is a case of fresh chocolates - big and delicious - the salted caramel truffle was my favorite but my friend liked the turtle with lots of almonds and soft caramel best. They have wine and mimosas if you want to while away an afternoon looking out the window or sit and work on your computer. Whether you want a quick lunch or to rest a while, this is a charming place to do it.

We had the cheese board. It was awesome. The service was great. Everyone was so friendly and helpful with sampling all the goods.

My mom and aunt found this place while shopping on the square one morning. We decided to try it for lunch and were not disappointed. We each got something different and tried each other's, all were delicious. I had the havarti and rosemary ham grilled cheese my mom had the watermelon feta salad and my aunt had the caprese salad. My favorite was the watermelon salad. They use fresh ingredients from a local farmers market so their menu changes with the season. Definitely recommend Gourmage for lunch!

My friend and I happened on this great lunch spot across from the Art League Gallery. We had no plans to eat but the outside was so welcoming. Inside was even better with high ceilings, cafe tables, street views, and a friendly smile. Wines were nice, cheeses were fab, and the other foods blended well. Lovely lunch.

We visited this cafe on a whim a couple of years ago and were delighted by the impressive variety and quantity of cheeses, the fresh bread baguettes in evidence, the small selection of soups/sandwiches for lunch and a chalk board of suggested wine offerings. The place had a certain liveliness to it that was enhanced by no small degree from the " Master affineur " present. He was able to expertly aid in our cheese sampling and selection and provide knowledge of wines to pair with our selected fromage. This visit, the Joie de vivre seemed to be gone from the place and so was the wide selection of cheeses with only one case half full of a limited selection. This disappointment and the less than comfortable temp. inside the place encouraged our feet to motor towards the door in spite of the "be with you in a minute" greeting we had from two women who were conducting a wine tasting for a solitary individual. The soup, sandwiches and wine may still draw customers, but with the less than impressive cheese inventory, the thrill is now gone for us. So we left, cheeseless in New Braunfels.
