We get the Gyro Pita which comes with homemade chips. Delicious food all around and it's enough to fill most grown men.

So we decided to order a Greek salad and a steak pita panina . When we received the Greek salad the arugula in my salad was rotten. When my husband bit into the steak pita panina there was a black hair in the cheese. We brought our dishes up and showed the girl at the front counter and she said she was so sorry. We threw our food out and left.

Food & service are always great. Love the gyro & hummus. So delicious!

Great Spot! Authentic Greek food! I had thought this place was a chain but it's not. Very pleased with everything we had even the dolmades! Very clean and casual atmosphere. Tzatsiki was on point!

Place looks dirty, food very average. Additionally they had music on 2 different radio stations.. I won't be back

Fast food character in the restaurant. However, the food is okay and not overpriced. A little more Greek atmosphere could be created with simple means. The service was very friendly.

You order at the counter and it's delivered to your table- Everything I've ordered here is exceptionally fresh. I've visited quite a few times and have never been disappointed. Their Greek Salad is awesome. I usually order their Pick 3 so I can get a taste of what I've been missing 😁. Comfortable atmosphere. Always clean.

So hard to pick a favorite. Gun to head, Niko pizza is personal fav; however, the Greek salad, steak pita panni, Mediterranean chicken bowl, and chocolate cake to split to finish the family off this round! We'll be back and love the new-to-us Cortez (50) location so much closer for us. Thanks for all the hard work everyone is fantabulous 🤗

The food was delicious, I had the pick two, strawberry salad and lentil soup.

Normally I love their food whenever I order from them. However, today I got delivery from Door Dash of the Mediterranean rice bowl and the Spanakopita. I was very disappointed that the spanakopita was very overcooked and the crust was even burnt so I ended up throwing most of it out. I didn’t think of taking a photo of it and probably should have to show how bad it looked. My mistake.

This is my first time trying Greek city for $15.43 the iced tea That's supposed to be sweet tea was old you barely get any fries I asked for extra sauce on the side and didn't even get it but it said it on the receipt not sure if I'll be going back again

I get takeout here a few times a month, the food is always fresh and delicious, and the staff is great!

This is a great place to enjoy a damn good gyro. The staff was friendly and fast, and my gyro was huge. Tasted wonderful. If you've not tried them, you should.

Food is always delicious, but we've had a few orders where an extra sauce was left out or a requested topping was not included, etc. Been coming here for years and I would recommend it.

Was ok. Mostly fried stuff ☹️ I am not in to fry meals. I was not impressed and will not return.

This is nothing like Greek food I ever had. I bought the pick 3. Got a salad, falafel and pita with hummus. The only thing I recognized was the pita bread. No chunks of feta in the salad, it seemed to have been mixed with the salad dressing to make the dressing. Falafels were horrible, very dry and I overwhelming with a spice. Hummus was like a salad dressing, not a “ paste “. I will most likely come back to this chain ever again. I ate at two: one on commercial and one on Cortez. To me it was not recognizable as real Greek food. Too many liberties taken to make it their own. I’ll look elsewhere tonight.

I’ve been here multiple times and never had and issue till now. I get the same thing every time feta fries with extra feta cheese, yesterday I went in and ordered 2 one for my bf and one for me. I got home ready to devour them with him we open them and there’s was probably maybe a drop of feta on them along with my fries being so cold they felt like the just came out the fridge mind you I love 5 minutes away so even if they sat omw home they shouldn’t have been anywhere near that cold. My bf called them to let them know and they gave us a credit for 2 free fries, we go back today he goes inside and orders them and comes back out and tell me how he got attitudes from the workers and then we open our bad and they look like normal fries AGAIN will not be eating here for a while not sure what the switch was between a couple of days but I suggest yall find the problem and fix it Do better.

Staff are friendly and welcoming. The place is nice and clean. Food is delicious 😋 Greek salad is so good. The gyros are delicious and tasty. Will be back again soon. Stop in if you're anywhere nearby.

I had the Greek power bowl 🥣 and it was fire 🔥!

This has been my goto place for sometime but the last few of times we order a gyro wrap no feta, fries and drink well done cooked all sides with no water sprayed on the meat on the grill to heat it up, I use to say hot and fresh now they cut it and put in a tray and spray water on the gyro meat and reheat on the grill. the wrap is dripping with water when you eat it so the wrap is so soggy you can't eat it. not very enjoyable and I think the owner would be surprised to see how the have taken carved fresh gyro meat away from the process.

The food is always phenomenal here. I order it every time I'm in the area and they're open. The gyros are so delicious and must of get a dessert when I visit. The raspberry cheesecake is divine and love the cannolis.... yum!!! Greek City Cafe has consistently great food and that's hard to come by these days.

Was crowded but the food was totally worth it. We can't wait to go again!

The Gyros and everything else is of excellent quality. The service is definitely very good for this eatery. Tyler was our cashier/host and attentive to our order. And did I mention the portions are rather large...plenty of bite!

poor customer service. the last order I placed for pick up was missing an item. I called to let them know when I got back home. I live 30 minutes away and wasn't going back to pick it up, and was told I can get it the next time. I went in today to place an order and to get my missing item and was told they had no record of it sorry. so basically too bad and said I can email the owner. I was able to figure out the day I was there went back up to the manager who happened to find the order. At that point the other person I was with was already done eating and I was no longer interested in eating there, especially after being treated the way I was treated. I let him now that it wasn't right how this was handled and I would not be coming back again. So many other places to choose from with better customer service.

Most of the food I've eaten here has been tasty aside from the pizza. It was too oily so I didn't finish it.

Best Gyro in memory. Meat has a deep seasoned char flavor with lemon rice soup. Very clean as well as attentive service

Great place to eat! I got take out this time, steak pita and chicken pita along with feta fries! To die for! Had gyro last time, unbelievably good and authentic tasting! People that work there are super nice and patient with you as you go through menu and ask questions.

Great place for Greek food & reasonably priced. Probably the best Greek salad I have had. Service was above average & place was super clean! Highly recommend Greek city cafe, 5 stars across the board!!

This place has the best gyros, the best flourless chocolate cake, homemade chips, and their famous feta fries. I usually get the chicken gyro and on occasion I'll get a mix of the chicken and gyro meat. I even got my boyfriend to try it for the first time, getting a traditional gyro, and he absolutely loved it!! Together we've ordered there a total of two times. I've been ordering there for at least 3 years. I've never had a bad experience there. They're always nice, fast and the restaurant inside is always very clean.

First time trying Greek City and the greek salad with chicken was incredible!!! Affordable and packed full of flavor. I definitely recommend to go try it for yourselves. Only downside was the girl at the register seemed like she really didn't want to be there. No smile, and seemed annoyed. Maybe she was just having a bad day but her demeanor left me ready to go. Had planned on dining in but decided to take it to go.

This is probably one of my favorite places in Hernando County. The food is so fresh and delicious. There are so many options to choose from. Their strawberry salad is truly one delicious dish. Their gyros are yummy. They offer a kids eat free night on Thursdays. They're grilled chicken is delicious, I love the lemon soup. I could go on and on. This place is a true gem to Hernando County.

I have edited my earlier review for Greek City Cafe. The Greek Cafe has greatly improved on getting the food orders done in a timely manner. I called in an order on Friday around 6pm and my order was ready for pickup in 15 minutes.

Many of the table and booths were dirty. Food was ok. My wife let them know that the lemonade was out and the person she informed said she would take care of it. We finished our lunch and I checked the lemonade and it was not refilled. The store was NOT busy at all.

This is Fast Food Greek, so the atmosphere isn't stellar, but it's clean, and the food is great. I love the Greek Salad , adding the side of Gyro meat. I'm a big eater and that is still 2 meals for me.

Horrible, gyro probably the worst gyro I’ve ever had. 😦 it smelled and looked horrible. Smelled like trash the pita. They forgot my 6$ cheesecake had to go back for it. I spent 25$ for two horrible gyros we didn’t eat and a cheesecake lol 😂 won’t be back. We didn’t even have meat on our gyros.

So the food is good but not alot of meat on my greek nachos. The service was not great when is comes to the lady in their.She was rude to my husband when he asked for a veteran discount and didn't give him one when the time before the guy said yeah next time just ask. Also we were waiting for our food for a long time and another set of customers came in after and got their food before us and it was the same food order. Now my husband refuses to ever go back because of the mistreatment.

2nd time for carry out. Paid extra for tzatziki sauce and it wasn't in the bag. Once again, the food was not as good as it was in the past. Not sure if different management or if the employees just don't care but the food and service here has really declined.

The Gyro & chips are amazing. The pita is soft and generously loaded with tasty meat and super fresh toppings. 🤌 There's no skimping here. The Tzatziki sauce is excellent. I highly recommend the Baklava Cheesecake. It's off the charts deliciousness. 😋 ↪️ The restaurant is very clean. ↪️ Fast, friendly service.👍

Ordered the California Greek Salad. Not as good as before. They put a heaping handful of pecans. If that's your thing your in luck. Then decent amount of avacado, and hardly any tomato or anything. It was a giant lettuce avocado pecan ball for $12.

Food is fine. Restaurant was a little dirty. The main reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 4 is because the tipping stunt they pulled on me at the register. I walked in and placed my order to go. I paid with my card. As I did, a window popped up asking me for a tip (on a carry out order). There are people standing behind me and the window was big enough and up high enough that anyone could see what I selected as a tip. If that's not bad enough, you have to sign on that same window again in full view of whoever may be behind you, so now they can see your full name in addition to seeing how much you tip. Total violation of my privacy. It's obvious they are trying to bully people into tipping. Completely inappropriate and unprofessional. I had to stand on my tip toes to cover the screen so that the people behind me couldn't see what I was doing. This is a VERY BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE. I will not be back as a result.

To owner response: excuses...its no preference, SOUNDS like you know its TRUE.. REAL TRUE.! Can be better but is under standards and poor. EVEN other greek city location are more better. Thats not 8oz that was kid portion!!!. You place cut in everything.. Just wait until competitors came in..Hungry G..Litttlee G. Awhh its ok..uff salad with grill chicken was poor very poor for$15.. the portions of the chicken was like a kid portion ...no tzatziki sauce.. very poor in greek dressing and very little fetta cheese no matter that I order extra. Little Greek do that a wayy BETTER!!!...

This place is AMAZING!! Almost a 5 star here but this place is a bit pricey. The food is perfectly prepared and sometimes when it's busy be ready to wait a bit for it. Gyro's are excellent, salads are spot on, everything is fresh, steak and cheese or chicken cooked to perfection. If your in the area this place is A MUST STOP !! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK GREEK CITY it's one of the places around this area i enjoy stopping in.

I love their feta fries it’s so good

I'm a little unfamiliar with Greek food and have some problems selecting from their menu. Everything I have had so far has been good.

We stopped in here tonight to give it a try and get something to eat before heading to the movies close by. It was a tough decision figuring out what to order because everything sounded so good. We finally decided on a Gyro pita and a California bowl. We got our drinks and sat down, and the food came in no time. Nice and clean, comfortable booths. The food came and it looked AMAZING! Large portion sizes and a ton of meat on the Gyro. It was absolutely delicious! I can't wait to go back and try a few other dishes...and their baklava.

The Lentils soup is 'out of this world'. I had the Ultimate veggie bowl for lunch and the Salmon Rice Bowl for dinner. Over kill you say, but I say finger licking good.

Must stop for a small restaurant. The feta fry’s were absolutely amazing. Will be getting again. The fried pita chips and hummus really good the combo pita with lamb and lemon soup of some kind big sandwich. Very filling and taste is great will be coming again for sure !!!

I've always loved a good gyro and always wanna try them at new places. Seriously the best gyro meat I've had and they definitely don't skimp. Plus, the feta fries truly live up to the hype.

Rude service. Placed a Togo order, for a strawberry walnut salad. I checked the order before leaving and they forgot the strawberries on the salad, so I told the tall gentleman who took my order and he was extremely rude. Had it fixed then shoved my salad back in the bag. I said you must not like your job, and he said he just doesn’t like some of his customers and smiled. Then prior to my incident I witnessed the same gentleman being extremely rude to a door dasher as well. I come here probably once a week and now I will not be coming back.

The diced and minced onions and feta are a sure way to have each bite be unique. I sometimes cannot control the urge to get a gyro from here

Call ahead!!! When we arrived there was no line, yet we waited an hour for a cold gyro. Seems like they should keep a separate staff for their catering business…. Or just quit trying to serve walk-in customers.

I had chicken on pita with tomato and cucumber. It was great. Gary had spanopokita and a gyro. Great food and service.
