Awesome chicken tenders on plate lunch today

First off ill say first im really really not someone to complain about resturant service, but this was ridiculous. So I show up at Greens yesterday (7/28/24) Order for my wife & I & its about 12:20, kinda crowded (no big deal) & just one person in front of me when I get there in line Cashier takes my order (beef tip special for my wife & I get a chicken sandwich with fries) and their is a group of 5 teenagers behind me Go to sit down its about 12:40 maybe. So my wife shows up about 5 mins later & her food comes out 5 mins after that. Thought it was kinda odd mine didn't come out with hers but no big deal. So 1:00 rolls around & I still didn't get my food, kinda aggrivated at this point (& this has never happened at this resturant) The 5 teenagers that were behind me get their food & half of them ordered chicken strips. Now I'm thinking "REALLY?!?!" Then I see this guy I know who came in 20 mins after me get his food. So now I'm fuming inside (on top of that the owner is there) My wife done finished her food at this point & I still never got mine So I ask the waiter why its taking so long & he told me cause not all their fryers were working (lame excuse cause the people after me ordered chicken strips) 10 mins later I finally get my food & all the waiter told me was he is sorry, even after I told him I really wasn't happy at all about this. I was expecting the owner to come out & maybe comp my food or offer a free dessert (their parfaits look pretty good) But no, he stayed in the back & acted like a cheapskate coward & didn't wanna come confront me And like I said I really don't like to complain at all but GEES

Ordered drive through....sausage & potatoes, it came with field peas and corn. Food was absolutely delicious!! I totally recommend the plate lunches!

Burgers are the bomb! Grilled shrimp salad definitely filling. I recommend for a quick lunch. Seating is a bit crowded. Staff friendly

If you want a good atmosphere with a good home cooked meal, this is the place to go! Their food has always been so delicious.😋Sister Thelma😇 is the one that told me about Greens Cafe so I definitely enjoy having a home cooked meal & quality time with my lovely sister. I understand why she talked highly of Greens Cafe!! We always eat the lunch menu they give you two choices to choose from.🤔 Definitely the place to eat while in Jennings or just passing thru.💯

Had meatball stew it was awesome definitely will eat there again

Got the grilled shrimp plate. Excellent, spicy shrimp with good fresh salad.

Best food in Jennings La. always struggle to decide if I want the best burger and fries ever or there fried fish 🤤 no matter what you order it's going to be amazing

I spent seven weeks in Jennings this past winter and Greens Cafe was one of my "go to" restaurants. I frequently ordered carry out for my parents who were staying at the Veterans Home. Food is delicious. It is fresh homestyle cooking. You just can't beat the value for your dollar.

The Food is excellent the owners are so polite and nice and so was the staff I would highly recommend this place for anybody that wants to eat some good food.

My friend had never eaten there before and i told her she was missing a treat so we had burgers with jalapeno bread and sweet tea and i was so please and she was definitely delighted with everything thanks a lot and have a happy holiday to Green staff

Great little cafe in Jennings with good down home Louisiana cooking.

We heard they had a great hamburger. The answer is they have a fantastic hamburger. Huge burger with your choice of fixings. Jalapeno buns or regular buns. McNeese fans too!! Worth the drive from Lake Charles.

Food is honestly unreal here!! Nothing and I mean nothing is a bad choice here. Family owned and operated and a true dive/small town gem that you just can't ignore.

Awesome hometown cafe!! Great food! Locals eat here including City Health Inspector!!! Priced right! Walk up, place order and sat at table…took 10 minutes and was delicious 😋. Will try this again! Small town Jennings, La.

Super hometown people. Food is indicative of our culture. Friday here is seafood day so I ordered fish/shrimp platter which came with potato salad and a green salad. Wonderful place.

Have the best chicken sandwich around. The hamburgers are delicious. And plate lunches are very good.

Traveling from Houston to New Orleans we looked up this restaurant and it had great reviews, so we decided to give it a shot. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! Everything we ordered was DELICIOUS!! We will not forget about this place

Although served on plastic plates, the food is excellent and service is fast. You may be lucky enough to be there on eggplant days. Yummm...
