Had a doctor's appointment with my mom and explained we were on a timed breakfast.....waitress was so accommodating and we were out of there to make my mom's appointment which was stressful in itself❤❤❤❤

Wife and I got the grumpy big breakfast. (Don't quite me on this). Comes with 2 huge pancakes, bacon or sausage, hashbrown or home fries, 2 eggs any way u want and a drink for 16 bucks. U best be hungry for this. The restaurant is small and very clean. The entire staff is wonderful. Everyone helps each other. Only open breakfast and lunch. At least on the weekends you may have to wait around 30 minutes. Did not wait long for food and it was cooked correctly. The tall girl organizing the controlled chaos was one of the best workers I have seen in an extremely long time. Will be back many more times. For first timers they serve many types of breakfast items and lunch and dinner type food as well any time of day.

My omelette was amazing! I went to first watch yesterday and the omelette was pathetic. It’s night and day here. My omelette at Grumpy’s was amazing and large and filled with toppings! I’ll always come here now! No where else seems to compare!

Stopped in for brunch, I had the steak omelet, which is very good. My wife had the cinnamon roll waffle, which was fantastic. Great meal. Best breakfast in town.

I think it's a bit steep in price.... honestly I gave 5 ***** because while dining at breakfast, my attendant gave platinum service. I somehow left my wallet with all my personal items... I didn't realize it until much later in the day, but they were closed. I reached out immediately the next morning, and the employee turned it in to management. I'm humbled and grateful 💯 💶

I got delivery and it came with grey eggs and raw meat which I had to cook. All the manager said was to request a refund through the app. Not at all concerned her kitchen had unsafe practices. Never eating here again.

Grumpy’s is one of my favorite brunch spots in town. I always go for the build your own omelette since you can’t beat the price. The omelette comes with 6 items and toast and a side of your choice. Everytime I have visited Grumpy’s has never skimped out on my portion. The servers are always friendly and have a great list of recommendations. Occasionally I try the new seasonal items and they never disappoint. The cinnamon roll pancakes were huge and very sweet. I will say though that due to popularity there is always a wait. Every time I’ve visited there has been a wait so I recommend coming early and writing your name down.

Place is great. The food was so good, my only complaint is they close so early (2pm) I can rarely make it ;0). Seriously, they open at 5:30 AM so I would close at 2pm also!

I would give it 10 if I could . The overall food service and atmosphere was excellent. We had the nicest waitress. I feel bad didn5 catch her name she was tall and skinny and very awesome. Thank you for making it an amazing dining experience!!!

We had a great time at Grumpy’s! I loved the biscuits and gravy, the fresh squeezed orange juice was also very delicious. Although the grits were a bit bland. Please be prepared to wait, we waiting about 30-40mins to be seated.

I have to vent. Food was good BUT TOO MUCH FOOD! Two of my party got the club sandwich. It was at least 6 " thick and piled so high with meat they couldn't eat it. Had to take it apart and remove a lot of the meat! Such a waste. I've never seen such a thick sandwhich in my life. Good but too hard to eat!

I ordered a blueberry waffle, grits, eggs scrambled with cheese, and OJ. Half of the blueberries were shriveled up and had a bad taste. I took them off my waffle. The grits were bland. The orange juice was the best thing I had but not worth $5. Margie was was walking around checking on customers. I informed her about the blueberries. She went to speak with my waitress. Margie came back and asked if my waffle was ok. I told her yes. Margie said she would take the blueberries off. My waiter came back to apologize as well. She was sweet. While looking over at their OJ machine a fly flew on the other half of my waffle. So, I didn’t eat it. When I received my check it was $21. It didn’t appear anything was subtracted. I stilled tipped. I’ve had better at Waffle House unfortunately. I did like the games set up for kids and the water station outside.

This is a really great breakfast spot. We recently moved to FL and this is where we had our first breakfast. I love the atmosphere. It’s kid friendly. The orange juice is to die for, it’s fresh squeezed! Friendly and welcoming staff. Only gave 4 stars because sometimes the food isn’t the hottest. I prefer really hot food but I will go again. Love this place. Will bring friends and family when they visit!

Food is always good. No matter what location you choose. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is parking was awful. We had to circle the parking lot multiple times before finding a spot. They have additional space in the back of the parking lot but there is only one drive way which means if someone is trying to come in while you are going out, someone has to back up and move. With that being said, I would gladly come back at a less busy time. The food was amazing and staff were quick and friendly! Two of their items are pictured: cinnamon roll pancakes - which were amazing! And the USA waffle which was huge and delicious! Definitely recommend!!

Long , long wait. Expansion needed. Loud and crampy. BUT THE FOOD IS VERY GOOD. The staff is always very great And friendly especially (Ms grumpy 😊😊😊). All the staff a great small breakfast place.

Honestly, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Grumpy's. I didn't think I was going to love it -- I went because my kids wanted to go. But it was delicious. We were there at a popular time (Sunday lunch) and it was busy. All the staff were hustling. They did a great job. Updated with new photos from more recent visit. Still pleased!

Awesome Food, Courteous Staff. We went on a Sunday morning, Yes it was very crowded. The wait was about 25 minutes. There is a large variety of different foods to choose from. The fresh squeezed orange juice was really a refreshing hit.

This was THE BEST FOOD I HAVE EVER EATEN. HUGEEEEEEE portions, AMAZING HOT DELICIOUS AND JUST FINGER LICKING GOOD. The employees are all nice, my son was screaming cause he has autism and this one employee was super nice letting me know it was ok. Our waitress Sarah was AMAZING. She got everything perfect and did a fantastic job. I highly recommend this place. You will have to wait because everyone knows that it's the best but wait and try it... you will not be disappointed.

Best local eatery in Yulee. If you are looking for great, reasonably priced meal with fun and engaging staff Grumpy’s is your place.

I don’t live on this side of town but drove by it while heading to an appointment and thought I give it a try. I ordered the Grumpy’s country breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon, 1/2waffle) and fresh squeezed orange juice (so good, they actual have a machine that squeezes 8 oranges per glass of OJ) for almost $18.00. The eggs and bacon were hot but the waffle wasn’t. It does take awhile to get your food and I was in there well before the big rush came in and was lining up outside the door. I wasn’t going to wait for them to do over again. They have plenty of staff, but a lot of them were talking to each other or carrying on way too long with their “regulars”. I didn’t get to see my waitress much. I’ll probably come back and try out the lunch menu, but they close at 2pm so beware. Parking can be a challenge if you come during rush hour.

My son took us he lives in Fla. I was visiting. First time Chef's kiss friendly waiting was only 15 mins even with a line of ppl out the door and under the trees. 🥞 My son got the Pancakes they were bigger than my head yummy my other son got the got the surf and turf omelette. I can't wait to come back.

Shannon or waitress was outstanding. Food just melted in your mouth. Food was flesh and hot. Great place to go to eat, clean and friendly.

Took my wife, sister in law and brother in law to Grumpy's for breakfast this morning. The very best food and Shannon did a super job of waiting on us (and putting up with our sense of humor!) We will definitely be back!

I had the Denver omlette, hashbrowns, and an English muffin at a 9:00 am breakfast meeting. I wasn't hungry until early evening. More expensive than Cracker Barrel so I'm glad I didn't get the check. Five of us ate for $100.

DON'T get the breakfast unless you want soggy underdone hasbrowns only cooked on one side. The tost eas just like stale bread. No butter for the pancakes. I'll NEVER get breakfast here again

Super cool breakfast and vibe. Staff was so friendly and attentive. Bacon was perfection. Not underdone like most breakfast places. Belgian waffle were crisp flavorful and flaky. Nice place at a good price.

I have been to Grumpys several times and it's always good I tried the breakfast sandwich this time and they did not disappoint it was delishious. You should try this place it's great so is the service.

Grumpy's used to be my go-to, I would recommend it to everyone, and I always made sure my out-of-towners had at least one meal there during their trip. In the last few months, it has gone hill. My favorite thing to eat was their eggs benedict, the eggs would be perfect, cooked yolk, and would mix so well with the muffins and whichever meat you choose. Now it doesn't matter what style of egg you order, you're getting a cooked yolk. I stopped ordering my Beni's and tried over easy and sunny side, yolk cooked completely through. Whenever I would be honest with the managers, owners, and wait staff about how my food was, they would act as if that's how the egg was meant to be. I've been going to Grumpy's for at least 5 years, this was never how they used to be. Another issue I have is the latex gloves, I have a true latex allergy. When going in to eat, I would normally start itching and never knew why, I always assumed it was due to cross-contamination of food products and I would just drink some benadryl and ask them to be a little more careful. My reactions were starting to get worse during each visit and I would make an excuse and brush it off. While eating, I saw a box of latex gloves on the counter and I immediately knew the issue. I stopped eating and talked to the manager about my allergy and asked her if in the future they could make sure there was zero cross contamination or if they could switch gloves since latex allergies are a more common allergy and she refused. For my health and safety I can no longer eat at your locations. Most states have already banned latex gloved in the service industry because of this, I don't understand why switching gloves isn't an option and they don't list anywhere that they use latex gloves.

Grumpy's is good! Stopped by for breakfast on a Saturday morning. There's a bit of a line, but turnover was fast and it was definitely worth the wait. You can order lunch or breakfast which is perfect because my daughter didn't want breakfast food. The food was delicious. Honestly the best hash browns I've ever eaten and the eggs were perfectly cooked. ⭐

First off lets start with the food was great. Being that it was my first time visiting the food was really good compliments to the chef who every it was making my eggs and pancakes yesterday. Now for my server I believe it was Devin she failed I was at the bar with my girlfriend and it took for ever for her to come check on us someone eles had greeted us when sat down and when she did talk it seem like she didnt even want to be at the job. All in all her permanence was a i will never come back to enjoy the food if she is my server again 😞

Grumpy's food is awesome! On special days they have yummy strawberry cheesecake waffles that have actual cheese cake pieces on them. Their house potatoes remind me of homemade country potatoes. They also have the best Benedict. The atmosphere is very congested and busy at all times of the day, but that's the price of being so delicious. But to keep everyone entertained they have jumbo games outside to buy time. This is definitely one of our family's go to places for breakfast.

A regular with homestyle food done right. Have been going for many years. Met a new friend there she just moved from Kentucky. It was a pleasure just to sit at the counter and enjoy lunch and the locals.

This was our first trip to Grumpy’s. We had a two ginormous pancakes and the steak omelette. Both were delicious. And, our waiter, Mathew took great care of us and ensured our first experience at Grumpy’s was an excellent one. We will be back.

The food is always amazing and delicious, as we visit the restaurant pretty often and it's normally always on point but for reason today "Grumpys" was not only the name of the restaurant but our waiters mood, I know we all have bad days but to dampen someone's experience with this amazing place is never good, we felt uncomfortable the whole time we were there, it's like we were a burden or asking for a favor (you know how you can feel all awkward when doing that), we never got offered refills, we didn't finish all our food, even after paying and writing the tip and all, we had to flag down our waiter to get us boxes, did not enjoy our visit today.

Neighborhood breakfast spot...this place is a favorite here in Jax. This was a special on the menu.

My husband and I are celebrating our wedding anniversary of 16 years. Had an amazing breakfast at Grumpy. The server Hailey was so sweet and made the experience even more memorable. The food was delicious and the fish was cooked perfectly. Our first time to the restaurant but definitely not our last.

Pretty good, if expensive, but the service is excellent and the place is nice enough that I've considered dining in instead of carry out.

Super busy. Be prepared for a wait. They were packed from the time we got the from the time we left. Good portions, well tasting food. They kept our coffee topped off, and we never had to look for a member of wait staff for it. Things happen, but my step mother told them, she couldn't have pepper and they brought out fries with salt and pepper on them.

I would have loved to leave a one-star rating to get free food, but it'll be unfair. Popular and extremely busy restaurants like this are always loud. Common sense. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. The waitress and service were great. Restaurant was very busy with a waiting time of 10 minutes for us. The ambiance is nice and noise reflected by the extreme busyness. Food was cooked to perfection with a feeling of small country mommas restaurant. Outside, you have free coffee, water, and game while you wait. Parking is a bit difficult due to how busy they are, but be patient, and within a minute, you'll be parked. We for sure will keep coming back.

Just don't...go across the street to Vicious Bisquit for something different, unique, and yummy 😋

My boyfriend and I went this morning and we highly recommend the Belgian waffle and the sausage egg and cheese croissant. Our server Alex was beyond attentive and so kind! We are from 4 hours south and I told her that we were in the area so that I could spend my birthday with my family and she brought me a cinnamon roll that was absolutely heavenly. We will definitely be coming back here every time we visit! Huge thank you again to our server Alex for making our first experience at Grumpy’s so perfect.

Add brunch this morning with a friend at grumpy's on Kingsley. It was absolutely delightful! We both enjoyed our entree, service was spectacular. It was very busy they got people right in and got us right out it was excellent

If you can handle it usually being packed and a little chaotic, its definitely worth it. More introverted or claustrophobic people may not want to eat at this location

On Tuesday I went there for breakfast. I got greeted in a timely manner, but what did get on my nerves was the fact that I ordered my food, and somebody came in at least 10 minutes behind me received their food, ate their food and left before I did just because he was a regular and my food wasn’t that hard to cook it was too over medium eggs, bacon, and a English muffin. Well done Treat everybody equal. I’ll go to the one in Middle Burg from now on.

The owner is always at the front door, making sure people get sat quicker. I even had the owner praying over me with my stage 4 metastatic cancer. You want be disappointed.

This place gives you that home cooked feeling worth every meal! It's a small personal place. The wait staff are friendly, and they welcome you with a smile. Be sure to get there early as it's always packed.

Visited 3/25 with my husband and mom. While the waitress was attentive for the most part, the timing of food and accuracy were lacking. Order was 1 breakfast and 2 lunches. The breakfast came out, minus the pancakes. My mom was all but finished when the 2nd meal came out.The 3rd meal came when I was half done (2nd meal), along with the pancakes from the 1st meal. It was missing the fries. The fries for the 3rd meal finally came when both the breakfast and 2nd meal were completed. We were at the restaurant around 1:20 and their closing time is 2:00 pm.

Food is good, and portions plentiful. Very busy.
