We had high hopes for guard and grace based on other reviews. The highlights of our meal were the A5 gyoza and the Mac and cheese side and the toffee cake. The a3 ribeye was a great cut but lacked seasoning and salt. Our service experience from Jody was subpar, especially for a restaurant of this caliber and this was the biggest detractor of our night. We travel to Denver regularly for business and I don’t think we will give G&G another try.

This was our second time going and the service and food was amazing! Our waitress was very knowledgeable and every staff that we interacted with were helpful and nice. Our waitress asked about dietary restrictions first thing so they are serious about not serving things to people who can't have them. We will be returning!

My husband and I visited Guard and Grace on our anniversary trip to Denver. The food tasted great, but definitely felt overpriced. Our server was fantastic and helped us navigate the menu, making recommendations and helping us choose the best drinks. If you are looking for a quiet, romantic place for dinner, Guard and Grace is not it. The kitchen is in the dining area and is the entire restaurant was very loud, even on a Wednesday evening. Overall it was a nice, but I don't think we would go back.

Dined at Guard and Grace for a family dinner and enjoyed this upscale steak and seafood house. The G&G Beets and Jumbo Lump Crab Cake were delicious and bursting with flavor. Foraged Mushrooms and Whipped Potatoes were great sides to the steak. A3 Tomahawk was good, but not better than the Filet or New York Strip. Chocolate Chip Cookies and coffee topped of a great meal.

Best steak in Colorado! We come here every year for our anniversary and are never disappointed. Every steak option is amazing, but the Wagyu Fillet is always worth it! Cooked to perfection and well complimented with tasty sides. The wedge salad is a great item to split to get the meal started. And don’t forget the smooth handcrafted cocktails. I went with the Manhattan and savored every sip.

Come for the filet flight, stay for all the fresh seafood! Great steakhouse meal. Had the flight, spicy tuna on crispy rice, crab cake, cod, a scallop and black truffle Mac and cheese. Everything was superb and service was on point. Local IPA and old fashioned paired well. Very reasonable prices for this high quality of food and preparation, too! Cheers, Guard and Grace! 🍻👍🏼✌🏼💪🏼✊🏼🥃

By far one of the best dining experiences in Denver! The service was fantastic, and made the dinner only that much better. My partner and I had the oak grilled octopus, palisade peach salad (seasonal), gnocchi, alaskan black cod, 8oz waygu NY strip, dessert and cocktails all for ~$350 (including tip). Splurge, I assure you it is worth the money!! I cannot recommend the cod enough, it was one of the best fish entrees I’ve had!

Wow. This place blew our expectations out of the water! We came to celebrate our anniversary and it was fabulous. From the moment you walk in to the end with a personal touch anniversary celebration card and treat it was wonderful! We started with snow crab and oysters that were delicious, than I got the blackened cod and my husband and our friend both got the trio flight steak and said it was fantastic. We got the mushrooms, truffle Mac and the loaded baked potato and there was nothing that didn’t taste phenomenal! This place has ruined baked potatoes for me because no one will ever match it!! Highly Recommend!

Head to Elway's, Shanahan's, or hell, even Applebee's if you want an experience that doesn't make you regret leaving the house. Guard and Grace may fool you with its spot on the "Best steakhouse in town" lists, but that's where the facade crumbles. Service: Slow, inattentive, and downright incompetent. It felt like we were being served by trainees on their first day. It took ages to place an order, remove dirty dishes, and finally, to get the bill. This might be tolerable at a chaotic Applebee's on a Saturday night, but for a "top-tier" steakhouse at 9 PM on a dead Monday? Absolutely pathetic. Food: A total disgrace. It took a ridiculous half hour for our food to arrive—unacceptable for a place with their prices, especially on a slow Monday night. The overpriced sides were decent, but that’s the only thing they managed to get right. My steak, ordered medium rare, arrived barely seared. I didn’t have the patience to wait another half hour for them to figure out how to cook it, so I took it home to finish the job on my own grill. My wife’s steak, ordered medium, came out nearly well done. Maybe the line cook should take a field trip to a real restaurant to learn how to cook a damn steak.

The club music inside is so loud that we left with headaches and sore throats from having to shout at one another. The server literally had to lean in to your face to hear your order. The tall table chairs are very uncomfortable, if you’re short you can’t reach the bar for your feet and end up dangling which is painful. These two issues are why we won’t be returning. The staff were kind, accommodating and attentive. Absolutely impeccable service. The food was hit and miss. The rib eye was tough and hard to chew. The Brussels divine. The mac and cheese heavenly. They make an amazing cocktail.

And let’s talk about the food. The ribeye was a premium cut and cooked perfectly. The sides were the perfect complement to the steak (potatoes au gratin and foraged mushrooms). And let us not forget the triple chocolate chip cookies (& this is not my go-to dessert choice). They were decadent bites of moist triple chocolate-filled cookies. Yum! I’m so happy I was able to get a last minute reservation here. I heard this was the best steakhouse in Denver and it didn’t disappoint. We started with their house bread which was very, very soft. For our appetizers, we got the oak fired carrots and A5 gyoza. The carrots were tender with the pistachio providing the crunch. The A5 gyoza was probably my favorite thing. The meat was so good and I was a big fan of the apple on top. Along with the food I tried the Oaxacan in strawberry fields and the life in the sass lane. Big fan of the first drink and not so much the second. Next came our entrees and sides. We got crispy Brussels sprouts which were exactly what’s you want. The potatoes au gratin were smooth and the gnocchi was soft. I ended up getting their play on a surf and turf which was half cod, half steak. The cod was just perfect with just the right amount of sweetness while the filet mignon was tender. Finally, we got two desserts: triple chocolate chip cookies and sticky toffee cake. The cookies were phenomenal with them having the right balance of crisp and gooey. My first time getting toffee cake and I was a fan. The cool ice cream clashing with the warm cake was ideal and the raspberry coulis on the side provided some extra sweetness. Overall, I thought that this place was great. The service was top notch, lots of variety in the food (nothing being below average), and an inviting atmosphere.

We aren’t from the area and wanted to treat our selves during our trip. Based on the reviews we came here, and weren’t disappointed. Right in the heart of downtown Denver, we were happy that there was a valet service ($20 fee well spent) so that we could get to our dinner faster. There is a very nice calming atmosphere inside, with a nice and modern building. Our waiter was a very kind and relaxed gentleman by the name of Arthur. He made us feel welcomed, offered great insights into the menu and restaurant’s history. Not only did he not rush us, he encouraged us to relax and enjoy our time! We started with the Burrata, which came nicely prepared with charred (not burnt) bread. It was a very nice flavor and texture combo. We then both had the Filet Mignon Wagyu steaks, which come in 4 or 8 ounces. Such a great steak, with unparalleled tenderness and flavor. The knife was almost a useless addition with that quality of steak! I had the half-portion of Alaskan black cod, which was very flavorful. A sweet and tangy switchback, it was a great pairing with the steak. My wife had the cold water lobster tail, that had a nice oak/char smoke flavor. We finished it off with the toffee cake, which was an amazing choice. It was so flavorful without being too sweet. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great experience, that is willing to pay for the high quality they receive.

We could not have had a better meal, better service and better atmosphere (except for the loudness of the music). Our server (Shawn) was the best. He helped us decide and he was right on. My wife had the filet flight and I had the half cod and wagyu filet. Sides were gnocchi and whipped potato. The food was very good, flavorful and plentiful as we took some home with us. My husband and I have been visiting restaurants on the World's 101 Best Steak Restaurants, with Guard and Grace at 47. Service was top tier. Shoutout to our server Shae who was excellent, she listed off-menu such as non-alcoholic mocktails or beer easily, had great recommendations. Lots of various people tended to our table and service was always prompt, table kept clean, etc. When we arrived, the host advised that their seafood is delivered 6 days per week. The Bering Sea King Crab was a full 1lb of the best crab I've ever had, perfectly cooked (I had steamed). Get the crab, it's life- changing. Who would have thought the best Bering Sea Crab is in Denver?! The ribeye was charred with a perfect cook. Broccolini has a charred flavor, the portion is huge! For desert, we had Troy's cookies which are yummy gooey chocolate chunky cookies. This is one of the most memorable meals that we have ever had, it was a perfect experience all around. Guard and Grace Denver should be higher up on the Best Steak Restaurants list! We will come back to Denver to visit this restaurant again.

I will start by saying that I have visited the best steakhouses wherever I have traveled and if there is anything I feel confident about, it’s a quality steak. Without a doubt, the people and service at Guard and Grace are top notch. Our server was very knowledgeable in tens of the menu and recommended a very nice glass of wine that I very much enjoyed. The atmosphere is also above reproach. Having said all this, this us a steakhouse and the final analysis hinges on how well they make a steak and the quality of the beef. I decided to order their prime ribeye medium rare, which checked in at $98. While the sear and seasoning on the steak were spot on, I’ve honestly had better cuts of meat at chain steakhouses. I always go for the ribeye because of the flavor the marbling gives the meat, the steak shouldn’t be over %50 marbling and so chewy, you can’t even eat it. Our server, again very delightful and attentive, asked how our food was and I shared my disappointment in the steak. I was surprised that his response was to suggest I should have ordered the steak at least medium or better so the fat renders and there isn’t as much to be chewy. Sorry sir, but I’ve eaten ribeyes all over this country and all medium rare and all delicious and not chewy. For a steakhouse that is ranked as the 48th best steakhouse in America, hopefully this was simply just a poor cut or something. I do feel this steakhouse is worth visiting, I just wouldn’t recommend dropping roughly $100 on their prime ribeye.

I took my son here last night to kick off his birthday celebration. The atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. Hip, not stuffy: Modern decor, great music. We sat in the bar section at a table against the windows. Our server, the magnificent Christine, added so much enthusiasm and positivity to the experience. Some of the best service I have ever had in a restaurant. She had great energy and a powerful command of the menu. Then came the food: Wagyu Gyoza, American Wagyu steak, crab cake, gnocchi (the best I have had - and I have been to Italy a number of times!), side of broccolini. Every bite delivered the blend of flavor and detail as described by our server. We capped the gastronomic extravaganza with the melting chocolate chip cookie. Beyond heavenly. I am from the Boston area and I would be thrilled if this team looked to my home town for a new location! I’ll help you find the right spot. The residents and guests of the City of Denver are lucky to have this gem. I look forward to returning! There are so many other dishes I want to try. Thank you to the entire team for helping this single Mom kick off her son’s 22nd year in style and positive vibes! Grateful for your dedication to the craft of special events.

Where to get a filet mignon flight in Denver... Guard and Grace is a MICHELIN Guide restaurant that has been consistently ranked one of the best steakhouses in the city. This modern steakhouse offers perfectly grilled cuts alongside a tempting selection of small plates. Casual, elegant dress is required. We arrived and were seated in the main dining room. There was a raw bar where diners could indulge in fresh seafood & an inviting patio to unwind with a glass of wine. Our server Sean was polished & attentive. He knew the menu inside and out and could speak in-depth on the cooking methods & flavors of everything that we ordered. For Cocktails, I had the Lion Tamer made with dobel diamante cristalino, chareau, roasted shishito, sesame-soy agave, & lime. This cocktail surprised me in the best way. It was very smooth with forward umami flavor. While I was drinking, I was smelling the roasted shishito garnish which upped the complexity of taste with subtle spice. From the Raw Bar, we had the Crispy Tuna Sushi made with tuna, avocado, serrano pepper, yuzu kabayaki, & spicy aioli. Freaking phenomenal, give me 20 more (this is the best crispy tuna we've had in Colorado). The base of rice was large with a delicately crisped exterior that held a smear of spicy tuna atop. The aioli gave each bite a solid kick in heat. For Appetizers, we had the Oak Grilled Octopus served atop white bean & celery salad, Spanish chorizo, sherry vinaigrette, & red pepper sauce. The octopus was cooked perfectly (they cook it four different ways to ensure soft, meaty bites with no rubbery chew). The octopus had a light char to it which gave off a smokey taste. The brioche bread was light, airy, & so buttery. For Steaks, we had the Specialty Filet Flight comprised of a 4 oz sampling of prime, wagyu, and grass-fed filet mignon. This Filet Flight will make you understand why so many label Guard and Grace as the best steakhouse in Denver. The Wagyu Filet was our favorite - decadent, so juicy sweet, and melted in our mouths. The Prime Filet was beefy and hearty. The Grass Fed Filet was clean in taste. For Entrees, we had the Wagyu Short Rib served atop Fresno Pico de Gallo, huckleberry drizzle, & heirloom carrot ginger puree. The short rib had a deep beefy flavor of chuck roast. It was very tender & it fell apart under our knives and forks. The Pico & puree were reminiscent of a curry. For Sides we had the Handmade Gnocchi with truffle & chive and the Oak Grilled Broccolini seasoned with nam chim, crispy shallots, & asian herbs. The Handmade Gnocchi blew us away - they were tender pillows, lightly kissed with truffle flavor. For Dessert, we had the Warm Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies and the Seasonal Butter Cake with Palisade Peaches. The Warm Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies were made with Troy's secret recipe and are available by the half dozen - a must-order. The cookies came to the table warm; they were crispy on the outside and chewy, in the middle...buttery, chocolatey, gooey, drool-worthy.

Enjoyable experience. The sides are all very flavorful, and the broccolini and mushrooms were a highlight. Brocc tasted smoky, of the grill, in the best way. Brussels were good. Gnocci was overly greasy, and the rolls were, as well. Diver scallop was excellent, wagyu filet was okay, a tad chewy - two people ordered NY strips done the same way, and they were visibly cooked differently. I've had better hamachi at sushi places, but perhaps that's to be expected. Was slightly chewy with an odd mouthfeel. Would return, but I'd investigate other steakhouses as well. The service was impeccable. I stuck with beer, but the cocktails appeared creative and tasty.

I had ribeye and i didnt see that they put a demi-glace on their steaks so it takes away from the natural flavor. The cut was good but actually a little too fatty, I had to leave a lot on the plate. Also got the seabass and it was the most fishiest sea bass I ever had, even though it was presented as if it was very light and not fishy. I had a ribeye from cherry creek grill a few days later for a quarter of the price and it was much better.

So.. to start, very good Waygu filet mignon steak. Amazing. Amazing potatoes and Mac and cheese (the easy stuff), oysters, and crab cakes, but the ribeye no sir. Easily 6 oz of fat on this thing. Very good service. I recommend, just don’t order the ribeye. Lunch edit: the Bubu bowl was amazing and the prime dip sandwich was as well. The bowl of fries is no joke- it’s a huge bowl of fries. Very fancy way to spend your lunch and does not disappoint. New Dinner edit: Juan was wonderful, amazing, incredible- basically every good adjective a waiter could be. Took great care of us and made the experience amazing with how courteous and attentive he was. The sushi roll was one of the best, if not the best, I’ve ever had. The wedge salad was fantastic. The wagyu filet was incredible and my husband’s was too. Mushrooms were insanely good and the flavor of the wine really comes through, and per usual, the Mac and cheese was delicious. The sticky toffee cake is so good it makes you want to eat it even if you didn’t save room. The sorbet was mouthwatering with a perfect texture. Every single thing we ate was top notch. Seriously, this place is the best restaurant in Denver I’ve been to. Amazing restaurant and waiter-thank you for making this easily a five star experience.

Went to celebrate my 44th birthday. Our server's recommendations were excellent, including good drinks, appetizers, and main courses. They also let us know when portions were sized for sharing, so we didn't order too much food (spoiler: we ordered too much food anyway). Food Highlights: * Burrata * Gnocchi (so good) * American wagyu strip steak (best bite!) * Triple chocolate chip cookies Favorite Sips: * Garden Grace * Make a Mango Crazy * Chocolate Banana Old Fashioned (seriously good!) It was pricey for the five of us, but within expectations. We'll definitely be back for special occasions.

This place feels overated. Food was good but not $500 dinner for 2 good. I have had much better food at nicer restaurants, with a better ambiance for half the cost. Drinks were good but mostly ice. The ambience is also just alright. Youre right next to peoples tables and if i am paying that kind of money i want it to feel nice, and not crammed in. Some of the tables chairs didnt even have backs, luckily we were not sat at those tables. The toffee cake was good, along with the rolls and brussel sprouts, but also overpriced. I also woke up that night super sick from food poisening, I have a stomach of steel, so i was pretty peeved I got sick from food at $500 dinner. Lastly; the waitress ran our card at the table and automatically selected a 25% tip, I am all for tipping well but felt super tacky for her to up her tip from 20% to 25%. They also charge a 4% chef fee, so on top of the over priced food you're tipping close to 30%. If you are looking for something fancy or a good steak I would recommend Urban Farmer hands down over this resturant. *update. I responded to Joanna's invitation to make things right and got an email back saying my email had been blocked. I reached out via their website inquiry, letting them know Joanna had said to email her, but it did not work. I have yet to hear back, and it has been several weeks. It appears their offer to "make things right" doesn't have much merit.

My husband and I went to Guard and Grace for the first time, last night, and had a great evening! The restaurant itself is visually stunning and has a great vibe. Ben was our server, and he was very friendly and helpful. I can't have gluten or dairy, which normally makes eating out a challenge, but I found this place to be easy to navigate and very accommodating. Ben made sure to point out the dishes that were safe for me to eat, and whatever he wasn't sure of, he asked about in the kitchen. Even when our food was brought out by different servers, each one made sure to point out anything that might have gluten (my husband can have that) and made sure to keep it separate. It definitely made me feel confident that there wouldn't be any contamination issues. In addition, the food was outstanding! Beautiful presentation with each dish and everything was delicious. I don't know how we didn't know about this gem up until recently, but I can say we will definitely be back! Thanks for a great evening!

Like family. From the moment our party was greeted to the exceptional service - fantastic experience! I’d thought of the Denver food scene as just marginal. This establishment proved me wrong. I couldn’t leave a single ounce of the ribeye on the plate. Minor critique that others noted, too much salt of the crispy Brussels and steak. Take it down a notch. Kudos to the kind, generous staff - and the kitchen that nailed it. The team earned the five stars…

The one of the best steaks I’ve had and the best Alaskan cod I’ve ever had!!!! I had the flight of 4oz steaks which includes prime, wagyu, and grass fed. That was awesome, but the Alaskan cod was phenomenal! Worth the money and the service was superb!!!! The French onion soup was also the best I’ve ever had. It would have been better with a crispy crouton but the broth was unlike any other. We would definitely go again. Exceptional service and exceptional staff. Worth the $$$$$

I would have liked to try this restaurant. But I never go to restaurants that post a menu on their website without prices. I guess the management thinks that's clever -- if you have to ask, you can't afford it? I've paid noticeably more than this restaurant charges (google has menu pictures) at restaurants with top-flight chefs who understand it's best to be transparent rather than pretentious about what they charge.

From our server (Bryan) to the managers (Anjelica and Joanna) who came over and made sure we had some special treats throughout the evening. It was outstanding. We had gone to a TAG restaurant earlier in the day and they made sure that we were recognized. It was so special. We started with the oysters and octopus which were both very tasty. Followed by the steak flight with black truffle Mac and cheese. A most memorable evening that we will not soon forget. Thank you to this team!

People. Listen to me when I say RUN to this place. I’ve never cussed so much when eating bc it was so unbelievably good. We were visiting from Chicago and when I say this tops any place I’ve been to in Chicago that says a lot coming from me. We had the full experience by ordering a bit of everything. We both got drinks and had the millions of peaches and it was to die for. So refreshing and a perfect pair to dinner. We got the French onion soup and octopus appetizers. The soup was heavenly and this was the best octopus I’ve ever had. So tender and full of flavor. For dinner we got the wagyu filets and cod. I had to take breaks so I wouldn’t inhale the filet in one bite. The seasoning, the cook, it was just perfect. My boyfriend is not a dessert person but requested the cookies with ice cream. Sounds lame, BUT do not sleep on these COOKIES!!!! at a point I’m pretty sure staff was laughing at us because we were drooling with our eyes closed with every bite. The staff was amazing, wiping our table between each plate, drinks never empty, and so attentive. Benjamin provided the best service and made sure our last dinner in Colorado was satisfying. This hidden gem deserves Michelin stars but for now they can just take all my money , well done chef

Guard and Grace truly exceeded all expectations and opened my eyes to the experience of fine dining. Our experience as first time customers was beyond elegant and absolute perfection. I highly recommend putting in a reservation ahead of time and requesting a seat at the raw bar. This seat alone was worth it - you’re able to watch all of the action, but still experience intimate and upscale dining. Every employee we interacted with was extremely professional and friendly. I loved watching the flow of their teamwork and how everyone working seemed to be happy. I do want to spotlight a few key people who truly made our experience incredibly memorable; Auther made sure we were taken care of in every aspect and helped at every station from cooking, to hosting, to running food. The Executive Chef, Steven, was incredibly professional and awesome to watch in action. Our server, Connor, was incredibly knowledgeable about their extensive menu and is absolutely fantastic at his job (if you can request him to serve you, do so). Angel at the raw bar was beyond talented and is a great conversationalist - he was amazing to watch prepare dishes. And last but not least, Chef Kaiman blew us out of the water with his talent, professionalism, dish suggestions / prepared dishes, and work ethic. Every single dish that we experienced was on another level! Every single bite was transcendent and I will always cherish the memory of dining here. I highly, highly recommend the following dishes (even though I’m sure every item on the menu is delicious); Cesar Salad, the Filet Flight, Loaded Baked Potato, Scallops, Waygu Shortrib, G&G Beets, Yellowtail Hamachi Sashimi, Buttered Potato Rolls, Goat Cheesecake, and the Sticky Toffee Palisade Peach Sorbet. The Jermann Pinot Grigio, Whiskey Sour, and Latte were also phenomenal. From start to finish, the entire experience was elevated and elegant. I appreciate those workers who cleared our dishes, wiped our area down, refilled our drinks, and boxed our leftovers as well. I also appreciated the cleanliness of the entire restaurant, including the bathrooms. I loved that the women’s bathroom had a large, full length mirror, mouthwash, floss picks, hair spray, a lint roller, qtips and feminine products. The decoration and entire vibe of Guard and Grace were top-notch. Please add this wonderful establishment to your to-do list! Overall, we shared an excellent experience.

Just fantastic, one of the best dinners of my life. Our server Samantha was amazing, providing great pairing recommendations to what I ordered. The old fashions were classically done. We had the west/east oysters (I liked the west coast, hubs liked the east coast ones). The OCTOPUS - just down right fantastic, had a wonderfully spicy robust sauce with it....seriously don't think just get it (paired with bubbles was delish!). We then split a half mac n cheese, half Caesar, half brussels, and a full table serving of the gnocchi. I haven't had gnocchi like that EVER. Also highly recommend it. The steaks were just fabulous; highlighting the flavor of the beef (we did grass fed). [the left overs of all this were great the next day too!!]. Dinner we had espresso and key lime tart and the strawberry rhubarb cake. 10/10 on the food. Service was fantastic. All the staff were friendly. We were a bit snobbish and asked if the music could be turned down a bit (we were under the speaker) and they obliged us. Again, kudos to Samantha and the chefs it was such a delightful experience. Note: Although it doesn't say a dress code, I would recommend dressing up instead of wearing cargo pants, jeans, flip flops. The establishment allows it, but you'll have a much better time if you match your ensemble to the atmosphere.

Waited over 30 minutes after reservation time to be seated. Food was very average...below average for the prices. 16 oz ribeye for $98 should be well above average in quality...it was tough and chewy. I ordered it medium and it came out medium rare. Honestly believe Texas Roadhouse makes a better steak. No parking available as it's downtown so add valet parking to the prices. Service was very good though. $600+ for our group of 4 with no deserts or appetizers. The music was very loud to the point that we couldn't really enjoy the company of our group.

My husband and I visited Guard and Grace a few weeks ago when he was in town for a work trip. It is without a doubt the BEST place we've ever eaten at - so good that as we were eating, we made reservations for the next night to come eat again. We loved the gnocchi and personally believe it's the best thing on their menu but unsurprisingly we also loved the filet (we had the prime and wagyu cuts). For dessert, we had the cookies and the toffee cake which were both amazing. One of the best things, though, was the service which was truly top quality. We don't know when we'll be back to Denver again but when we do come back we will 100% be dining again. Thanks for the best two nights of our trip Guard and Grace!
