I dropped in on Aug. 24, 2021 and was treated to a wonderful freshly made guacamole prepared by Odin. Not my 1st time to enjoy food here but definitely memorable. Today almost 3 years to the day, we were served lunch by a still amazing, friendly and courteous server Odin. So glad we stopped by. We sat outside and enjoyed our margaritas on a perfect weather day. The guacamole was absolute perfection and the pics say it all. PS my dog and I travel from North Carolina every summer to visit friends and family.

Didn’t even get a chance to try the food. I’ve only walked out of 2 restaurants in my life and this was one of them. We went in for lunch, we had out nephew with us, he’s 13 months old. The waitress, maybe 20, immediately looked at us with pursed lips asked how many?I said just us, My wife, nephew and myself. She walked us over to a table , threw the menus down and walked away. I immediately walked over and asked if she had a high chair. She, without saying anything turned around to get one, but was too rude to respond to anything we asked. Before she could get back to the table, I said never mind, we are all set, and walked out. Unbelievably rude service. Won’t be back

Really delicious food! I loved my chili relleno burrito and my wife enjoyed enchiladas. Not quite as spicy as I might have expected, but my El Dragon cucumber & jalapeño margarita was! House-made chips were great, too! Forgot to take any pics of the food, alas!

This place is one of my home town go to watering hole and eateries. With a massive selection of tequila and really enjoyable authentic Mexican dishes. You can't go wrong. Kid friendly, nice environment and setting. Really love guzanos!

Got looked at 3 times and ignored to even get seated. If you’re looking for a place that actually acknowledges you, this isn’t it.

Food was okay. Expected fireworks got sparklers. Service was decent.

Went here looking for good Mexican it was OK got right in seated and waitress got our drinks the margaritas was awful taking no flavor and the waitress I think was the only one there she got our drinks took order and it was at least 20 min or more before got our food my food was cold and my husband food was cold he had chocolate penurbutter on meat taco he said it did not taste good he got the same thing at other mexican and said never had anything like that in it before was just ok probably would not go back but the front girl was,nice and waitress I think was overworked .

We've now been to Gusanoz twice. Both times we were completely satisfied. I will say the only thing I would suggest... when my meal came out, it was a molcajete... one of the cauldron legs was broken so they balanced it by putting a bowl under that leg.. I was fine with this except they never told me it was broken and to not disturb the bowl under the leg. It could have caused an injury since this dish is served molten hot.. like even after 35 min, it was still steaming! I mentioned it to the waitress, she didn't even know it was broken so I think it was a miscommunication from the kitchen staff. Everything else was delicious, fabulous and I will definitely be going back.

We've been coming here for years. Great Mexican food, with a mix of americanized and more authentic dishes. Great margaritas, and lovely service. OK at those clean plates 🍽

extremely overpriced for how bland it was. the wait staff was lovely, however. I would not ever go here again. 20 dollars for three steak tacos with practically no flavor is not worth it. big mistake

The seafood burrito was amazing!!! Be prepared to wait a bit, but they are busy. They have outdoor seating for dogs!

Ordered take out and arrived when they said it would be ready. Had to wait about 15-20 min ( they weren’t busy and seemed like they just started my order when I arrived) and then I discovered they goofed my order. They were nice and re-did it, taking another 15 or so mins. Overall frustrating as I was late to my destination. After all that, my meal was mediocre. Friendly staff, though.

I don’t usually rate this low. But this was one of the worst services I’ve had. They seemed very understaffed so it’s not all on the servers. They are also just not aware of what it takes to be hospitable. Total chaos. I wish them better. They’re not set up for success by whoever the manager or owner is doing.

This place was ok. Sorry but the food was just ok. Give it a shot and see if you agree. The tequila sunrise was good and the cold Dos Equis hit the spot.

I recently checked out Gusanoz's for lunch as my car was getting service at the nearby Ford dealership. Excellent prices for lunch plus daily specials. The burrito I sampled hit the spot. Get out of the office for lunch and treat yourself to a great Mexican meal. ... Tucked away in the corner of a strip mall, I forgot about this place and rediscovered it last night for take out fajitas. Good prices and portions. The family dinners are great for takeout and the flavors were good. It's now on our list for take out options in the Lebanon area.

This is the best Mexican food restaurant around. Everything is delicious and the price is fantastic. I'm a foodie and this is my go-to spot.

I don’t usually review restaurants but this really bothered me. I understand that because of Cinco De Mayo they might be a little busy, however; there is no excuse for receiving chips that are cold that they come off as stale and soup that’s lukewarm. I will never come back to this restaurant again. It wasn’t my servers fault however for her to tell me to wait because they are making chips and they come cold bothers me too.

I have been going to Guzanos since the first month it opened (just the tiny dining area to the left of where you come in at that point). We have been consistent customers ever since. Good food and consistent staff over time suggests they run the place well. A constant in our dining out rotation for years. Always worth a stop.

I do not recommend the pozole. The sprinkling of herbs on the top ruined the dish. Very over powering. Our orders repeatedly came out wrong and were not tasty. Our waitress was very kind, which was appreciated. Chips And salsa were good.

The place seemed quiet, there weren't many people and at the beginning there was no one at the reception, it took them a long time to arrive. After more customers arrived, they came to the reception and gave us a table where everything was very full. After we settled down, they changed our table and then they always didn't, so we went back to where before, we were with our little girl and she was making us uncomfortable, maybe we noticed the bad faces of the employees, we don't know if because of our appearance (my husband is an indigenous Mayan from Mexico), we look Mexican, but we were going to pay for what we consumed. We were sincerely afraid that they would do some other rude thing to us, maybe they were stressed we wanted to think, so as not to feel that it was racism against the native Mexican Indian, it was better we went to eat next door, Thai food, where they treated us with respect and kindness. The sad thing, we are Mexicans and we have been here for years but until now that we are neighbors of guzanos is that we dare to go, sad because we are good eaters and when we get attached to a place we are frequent customers, but the truth is, there is no need to comment if There is a bad service attitude, we were left wanting to try the food. We speak Spanish but also English and they acted like they didn't understand my husband, we are both Dartmount researchers and although we look Latin, we have been working in other English-speaking countries like the United Kingdom. My English may be bad, but my husband's is perfect and it's not that they don't understand him, it's more like they ignored him. :(sadly if you have Mexican features, don't even go, they have plenty of clients and I think they don't want people who they feel make the distinguished place look bad.

Skip the food, stay for the drinks. Of all the mexican places ive gone, and I've been to many, this is officially at the bottom of my list. Its not inedible, but its not good. My waitress was great, and the bartenders were working hard, so no complaints on the service. Beer prices were very reasonable, i assume mixed drinks were as well. I don't like bashing places, so im sorry, but i feel these things need to be said. The salsa was straight up gross. There was a weird bitter aftertaste and i couldnt eat it. I got the lunch portion fajitas, which were a smaller portion but very inexpensive as well. I knew they wouldn't be great as soon as they came out because steak fajitas smell amazing when still sizzling. All i could smell was that burning black char smell. They were not very flavorful, but not awful. The refried beans were clearly out of a can and tasted like old el paso canned refried beans. This was like a mexican meal made by somebody who has not ever had traditional or good quality mexican food before. As for the interior of the restaurant, its too bright, and was clearly converted from some other old business without doing a proper renovation. It looked like someone went to the dollar store to decorate their basement for a cinco de mayo themed party. I think if they did a renovation, and brought in an authentic chef, this could be a great spot, but for now, ill just go to grab a drink or two.

Unfortunately our visit wasn't up to the standards this restaurant once had. It's definitely has decreased in quality and service since my last visit years ago. The rolled chicken taquitos lacking filling, flavor and size. The Chef Irving Taco salad was mostly shredded lettuce in the shell that was a bit slimy (not fresh by look and taste). This too was also on the bland side that lacked flavor. Waitress never came back to see if we would like refills on our drinks, only to see if we wanted dessert and boxes. She was too preoccupied rolling up silverware in the booth behind us. I've had excellent meals in the past, but this one was a huge disappointment. It use to be flavorful and delicious on every visit! As more restaurants of this style have opened in towns nearby, it seems like either Guzanozs has fallen behind, or the other ones have a better recipes. Looking at some of the electrical outlets and plugs going into the outlets near our table, a deep clean has been lacking as well.

This is a nice clean place with a good vibe and friendly staff. I was there mainly for drinks, so I didn't eat much, but what I did have was good. They have an impressive selection of Tequila with some very high end and obscure bottles in their collection.

The food was alright. Based on the type of service we got, we still left a tip of almost 15%. We are college students and quite broke ourselves but thought it was impolite to leave a tip that wasn’t around 15%. I come back home and later see my card has been charged a tip of almost 20%. The difference may not seem big but it was the principle behind what they did. I didn’t think they deserved a 20% tip from 2 college students who did not even receive any excellent service. Charging more than what I signed to pay on my card is illegal and, quite honestly, disappointing from such an establishment. Would warn others to be careful and visit some other place!

2/17/24 - I have to be honest; I stopped dead in my tracks because of the name. It's quite distinctive, isn't it? We had just finished exploring the science museum and our stomachs were growling. As snowflakes danced around us, I quickly googled this place. There's nothing quite like transitioning from the chill of snow to the warmth of a place that exudes a Mexican vibe. Entering, we were embraced by festive décor and vibrant Mexican artwork. The bar buzzed with activity, but it was still a tad early for me to indulge in a margarita, so I settled for a steaming cup of black coffee. Opting for the carne asada, I was pleasantly surprised by its flavor. However, it was the tres leches that truly stole the show. Now, there's a little spot called Los Andes where I've savored the best tres leches cake. But I'll admit, Guzanos comes in at a close second. It's funny how in New Hampshire, of all places, I find myself relishing Mexican cuisine, aside from Mexico itself, of course. Thankfully, we brought along a companion blessed with the gift of gab, so while he regaled us with tales, I happily indulged in my meal without a care in the world. There's a certain nostalgic charm to dining at a Latin restaurant in New Hampshire, especially with snow gently falling outside, enveloping us in its cold embrace. Amidst the wintry scene, catching sight of a familiar face feels like a serendipitous touch, especially someone who shares my Spanish culture and language. As we sat there, quietly enjoying each other's company, I take the opportunity to converse with the waiter in Spanish. To my surprise, she responds with a playful wink, as if to say, "Don't worry, I've got your back. We can speak Spanish to our heart's content." It's moments like these, where the world slows down and it's just us and the twinkling snow outside, that make me feel truly connected to my peeps. 😊

Went there for Valentine's day dinner after doctor's appointment. Their food was really good. I appreciate them offering free desert for couples on the day which was very sweet for sure. I will go again when I am in that area.

Stopped in for lunch today, pretty much at the time they opened. The wait staff were very pleasant, quick with drinks, and prompt with the menus and chips and salsa. Today was quesadillia day, and it was a good appetizer for 2 people. We both had the lunch chimichanga (one chicken, the other pork) that came with rice, refried beans, and sour cream, and that was also a good-sized portion and very quick. Overall, it was a very pleasant time, fast service, and good people who worked there. Definitely will go back again

Great food... wish had a little more to authentic menu... and waitress ignored us.. being judgmental didn't help.. but she got a good tip too..so next time.try not judge :) welcome for the $ tho

we had never been before so we decided to give it a try, and we won't be going back. our food was on the verge of inedible, so dry and lacking anything. it also just plain and simple tasted bad.

Honestly very impressed! I know this restaurant from the show “Restaurant Impossible” and was honestly very pleasantly surprised! Our server, Odin, was super kind and very on top of things, and I ordered the shrimp fajitas and really liked them! The shrimp was pretty well cooked, although I would have liked a bit more rice and beans served with the fajitas. Overall, my experience was very good and I will come back again!

Excellent authentic south of the US border fare. Guacamole made table side and real chili rellenos! Only wish I had room for dessert

We have dined at Gusanoz many times, always pleased! I will say, we may know how long it may take but we always know when we see Hazel there, our time spent there will be positive! We have had the pleasure of having her for a bartender and a waitress and she is great in both roles! Personable/friendly, enthusiastic, and efficient! If you go and have Hazel, you'll leave happy!

Me and my coworkers had an amazing time! Drinks and food were amazing. I had the flight & seafood burrito. HAZEL was our waitress and she was amazing. Definitely will request her every time I come. GOOD VIBES🫶🏾

Very prejudiced place. Both server and bartender were very rude , unprofessional and impolite. Waitress had big time attitude . I m grandma so have raised two children hope they never show this kind of attitude at work plus owning my own business will never be able to survive with this kind of employees. Would not recommend this place especially if u r not white. Took the plates before we were done

I have lived in a lot of different places in my life and ate plenty of Mexican food, but gusanoz always holds number 1 spot in my heart for good reason! I enjoy the friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere and the consistent good food every time I eat there! My fav menu items include: carnitas plate, table side guacamole and of course the Molcajete just to name a few… As for Catering, if you’re looking into this for your next gathering of people 10 or more…do it!! Not only is it affordable it’s so easy to organize with the help of their amazing staff! I used their services 2 different times over this past summer for an event with over 100 people and another event for around 12 people for a full weekend and got raving reviews from all of the guests from both of the events! I was able to get all my questions answered quickly as I was planning my events quickly by Bella, Nick and staff. In conclusion GUSANOZ for the win. 🙌🏽

Gusanoz is one of my husband and my favorite places to dine; so much so that we enjoyed our wedding anniversary dinner together there this evening. We had the pleasure of being seated in Hazel's section; they were nothing short of incredible. Our meal was fantastic; flavorful, delicious, and authentic. Gusanoz has a very chill vibe, and I love that there are a number of non-alcoholic beverages for sober peeps like me. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

Stopped in on the recommendation of a local. Husband and I were pleasantly surprised of the tastiness of the food and lunch special was good sized. I had soft tacos and he had red enchiladas. Service was great. I will have another meal for tomorrow to. Very pleased at such a good value.

Recently got Gusanoz for my bachelorette party and oh my goodness was it soo amazing!!!!! The carnitas were out of this world I’m still thinking about them!!!! Would highly recommend!!

Combination plate was killer. Salsa is fresh and authentic. Margaritas looked gigantic.

We had the steak enchiladas and the fish tacos. Both were good! Loved how crispy the fish is and the tacos had great flavor. Odin our waiter was very attentive. Would definitely return on our next visit!

I really loved this place a few years ago. It was great mexican food for fairly cheap. Today it is not that. Food Quality is down prices are up, up, up. But only place near by that is somewhat authentic.

Good food prices are a bit higher than I like but they have some good food.

We stopped in Mon. Aug. 21st. Our first time here, definitely not our last. The meal was fantastic. We both had the classic chimichangas. Our waiter was excellent. We shared the caramel flan for dessert. Just a perfect meal.

Last time I was there with a friend for almost 2 hours waiting. We each ordered a water, a margarita, and a chicken quesadilla. The waters came out immediately. The 2 quesadillas came out after about an hour and a half. Then the margaritas came with the check about 20 minutes later. The 'chicken' quesadillas came to the table with only a small amount of cheese in the very center of them, barely melted. The waitress didn't come back until she brought us our drinks and check, and asked why we didn't eat much, so I politely told/showed her. She was nice about it, but didn't offer to make it right or find a compromise. So we quickly had our drinks and left hungry, and stopped somewhere quick for food on our way back through town. That was a good $30 wasted.

Another great lunch - keep an eye on the specials to save a few bucks. I'm a big fan of the chimis because they come out crispy with a thick shell layer. If your feeling adventurous get the margarita flight!

The food is the best Mexican I have had out side of FL. It looks just like alitte hole in the wall in a strip mall, But boy was I happy when I walked in and the Bar had what looked to be over 100 Kinds of tequila. The beef enchiladas were to die for food extremely reasonably priced.I had one small issue the owner came over and took care of it for me immediately herself. First time since the pandemic, I've had great service. Great food and people who cared that the customer was happy.

Given its location and unassuming decor, my husband and I did not have great expectations. Boy were we wrong! Starting with a basket of homemade chips and freshly made salsa right through our chimichanga and tacos, we were impressed. Not a bit greasy. And delicious . We will be back to explore the menu offerings further!

We stopped in for a quick lunch after a local bike ride. They have a few outdoor tables so we opted for an outdoor lunch. Their salsa is very flavorful and complimented the tortilla chips nicely. We ordered a couple beers and for food we had enchiladas and portobello fajitas. The food was good but I would not rate it exceptional. I would eat here again but would not necessarily go out of my way to dine here.

I give the waitress 10/10 but the quality of food was not good taste very bland and chicken was still a bit undercooked…my margarita was upgraded for $3 bucks for it to taste like straight water…let me not forget the mosquito and fly that kept pestering me while I tried to eat I was only in town for a couple of days and if I ever do go back to visit I won’t be coming back here.

July 20, 2023 update: Never disappoints. Four years and counting. Lunch specials are a particular value, especially if the Margherita special strikes a fancy with you. No extra charge for the diversity and entertainment supplied by the other diners present. Remember to get your frequent diners' card. Odin was the absolute best! He was so attentive! He Checked in With us regularly and gave us amazing recommendations. He’s the man and knows what he is doing. We will be back and requesting his service.

We sat at the bar today and had lunch . The chicken fajitas were very good as were the chips and guacamole and margaritas. We were lucky to have Daniel as our server - he was excellent! We will be back again soon !

I love Gusanoz!!! I crave food from gusanoz probably once a week it’s soo good. They always have lunch specials until 4:00 and $5 drink specials all day! You have to try the six sisters sampler, table side guacamole, molcajete, and of course the tres leches!

It makes absolutely no difference on the time or day of the week the on line order time is completely ignored. Time management is horrible. Many times, I ordered recently 4 pm pick up. Arrived at 3:59 pm for pick up. Advised being packed. Ok. 4:10 still being packed. 4:20 still being packed. Advised them if it wasn't out in 2 minutes cancel order and refund my money. 4:26 order brought out. Drove 10 minutes, unpacked. Enchiladas cold, disgusting and looked like yesterdays food. Fries soft, cold and smashed up. Nachos were literally just chips with sliced cheese on the top barely melted. Chicken fingers raw and not cooked. Never again. Choose another place!

Excellent service and great food and drink.

Four of us went for dinner & a few drinks a few nights ago. The food and drinks were yummy and Oden, our waiter was friendly and checked on us the perfect number of times while we were there. I think he could have made the yummy guacamole with his eyes closed. We got to visit with our friends without feeling like we had to rush to leave.

update*** we were sent gift cards and we tried the place again. It was really good Not impressed. We were told 30 to 45 minutes and they would call me. I never received a call once i saw 7 parties go ahead of me. I went to counter they said they were cleaning a table but still continued to seat more people. Same size party as we were. Talk to manager he blamed it on everything but taking responsibility for the chaos.Then after we sat waited an hour still had no main dish. Had to get it to go due to waiting to long with kids. Luckily our server was great and sweet!

Food was excellent but if you’re ordering for break at work you’ll probably miss your break. I ordered at 4:20 pm and asked to come get it at 5:30 because i wanted to make sure it was ready when my lunch break started… well I waited for 2/3 of my break still.

White people's Mexican food, not authentic. Where's the menudo or the barbacoa?

I truly love this place, and I've eaten here many many times. It's gone through changes and the latest have not been good. They're staffing problems have made getting food out, quality food out challenging. I spent many Afternoons eating chili rellenos on the outside tables inside booths and at the bar. Their selection of tequila and Mezcal is epic. However the last two times I've gone the food has been mediocre at best. Cold and with some sort of off flavor I couldn't identify, I would suspect it might have come out of the fridge and been reheated. That coupled with an odd odor in the kitchen or from the dishes area that doesn't smell like roasting beef and stewing al pastor, More like dishwashing soap or disinfectant, is an appetizing to say the least. The service is always been stellar Happy waitresses, festive patrons, the owner visiting the table to say hello. Yesterday I finally had to go find the waitress to find out what the problem was, and it turned out the cook had car trouble, maybe somebody was sent home sick or on drugs? They could have brought us another round of drinks, some more chips and salsa. Minimally they could have explained what we should be expecting as a wait? One of our party had an appointment and after a long wait for food, we asked for the check and the food to go, then they returned to the table with one of the meals instead and our friend was late. Because of my long history I'm willing to go back and give them another chance (after all we're in the middle of the great shortage, where did all the people go anyway?) I'm going to go back and order something before I write this once great place off for good. I truly hope you give Gusaños a try... perhaps they can rise back to their once former glory. If they continue with poor food, mediocre service they won't be long in business. That would truly be a tragedy. I would suggest they scale their hours to their staffing, only serve the best food even if that means closing for lunches, or limit the menu to that which they can handle. maybe they could do a very limited lunch and tapas-tequila specials?

Best Mexican food i've come across on all of Vermont/New Hampshire. Borracho burrito is great. Mole poblano is excellent. Try the jalapeno margarita.
