My partner and I make a point to come to the buffet here as often as we can. The food and flavours are absolutely outstanding. It’s always a blast to try the wide variety of delicious dishes at the buffet, and there are always ample options for vegetarians. The excellent service and comfortable atmosphere also make for a pleasant and fun dining experience. Needless to say, I highly recommend this place.

I came here today for the buffet, but we also come here all the time for the normal fare in the evening any time we are in the area. It is by far some of the best Indian cuisine I have found. We hit most all of the places in the area and constantly drive 45 minutes to come here over everywhere else. Fantastic selection of foods for the buffet, both meat and vegetarian dishes. As a bonus the house is kept extremely clean and inviting, the service is always attentive and on the ball. It’s always worth the trip to eat here and you would be wise to try it yourself. You really can’t go wrong with anything here!

They let us come in and didn’t tell us they were closing . We paid for a full buffet but they shut the buffet down after we grabbed our first plates. I am disappointed with quality of food as well. 80$ down the drain

A great evening. Starters were different from the usual European starters but were full of flavour. The main courses we ordered were hot and spicy, which is just what we wanted and probably, will come back again tomorrow to try other choices. The service was excellent and the staff were very attentive too. For the Vegetarians, you’re catered to as well with a vegetarian section on the menu. This restaurant was a delight to find and will certainly remain on the list of places to revisit when next in town… but I’m already salivating at the prospect of eating here tomorrow too.

YUMMMMMM everything we ordered from this place was delicious- I can’t wait to have it again and eat in their lovely and relaxing dining room. Love how many chutney options they include in the takeout (5!). We loved the masala dosa and especially the tandoori shrimp- succulent, perfectly cooked, delicious spices.

I have traveled extensively throughout India and all across USA. I love Indian food and this is THE best and most authentic South Indian food I have had IN THE US. Be warned, the food is spicy (traditional for the region) be they can tame the heat if you need (I love spicey though). The chef is from Kerla, we met him. Very passionate. If you love Indian food you can't go wrong. Portions are definitely sharing size.

I discovered this place about 7 months ago. I really love the staff, friendly and warm hearted people. The food quality and portion sizes are worth the $!! Everything is clean and welcoming, right down to the bathrooms. A place to try at least once.

My family and I were out running errands and out for lunch we were looking for a place with great Indian food. We are spoil from awesome Indian food from NYC. When I looked on google maps restaurant Gymkhana popped up. We were delighted to be a few minutes away. At first we were apprehensive, the place is lovely lots of light super clean. We opted for the buffet. The perfect choice to taste test a little bit of everything. Let me tell you we happily surprise, the food was fantastic. Paneer Butter Masala was rich and creamy. The basmati was dimply delicious The cucumber with raita, was fresh and crunchy. The tandoori was perfect snd moist, the paner was tasty. Overall we were delighted with the wonderful food and the staff. Should you be in the Fishkill area and looking forward to delicious food be sure to stop at Gymkhana. Your tummy and taste buds will not be disappointed.

What a find This is a hidden gem in the Mall complex. We stopped by after having some cider tasting. This was perfect to fill out tummies with good food. We came in aft 2:30 at end of lunch buffet but host said we could still join. It was great so many types of traditional Indian dishes and all were not to spicy. They has good basmati rice and buttery naan 🫓.

Been coming to gymkhana for a little over a year now. I drive nearly 40 minutes for them as I’m absolutely convinced they have the best Indian food in the Hudson valley, maybe the best I’ve had. On top of the food being amazing, I can report only the most attentive and kind service. If you’re reading this and sitting on the fence, please do yourself a favor — try this restaurant!

This is next level Indian food. I started ordering delivery from here after reading a review in Chronogram and was wowed. Finally got a chance to go in-person and it’s even better! The staff helped steer us toward the tastiest dishes and when I mentioned that I often do takeout/delivery, the manager circled his recommendations on a takeout menu for me. Excited to keep exploring!

What a fantastic place for a family and friends! The food is great, and the service is better. Viljo and the rest of the crew are very accommodating. I highly recommend the Gymkhana mixed grill, it has everything on a hot sizzling skillet. Yum!

We went there for buffet lunch today. Good was very bad and cold. Poories were so hard they broke like glass. Bill was too high for two buffet they charge us $43.90. It’s bad food and very highly priced. Not worth for your money.

We over ordered and got lots of Tandoori Chicken, Salmon in a curry coconut sauce, chicken in a ginger coconut sauce, Tandoori wings and garlic naan. We had tons of leftovers probably enough for lunch and dinner tomorrow. We had to try the desserts to and got the kulfi and a carrot pudding with vanilla ice cream. Every single dish was absolutely delicious, very fresh and high quality ingredients. If you aren’t too much of a spice person there are many dishes that are mild. We ordered from the menu but there is a buffet every day during their lunch hours. Awesome service, and reasonable prices combined with huge portions of delicious food equals 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

As a vegan I always have to settle but not here. I had a lot to choose from and one was better than the other. The offerings are described so no wondering on the buffet. The Samosa's are the best I ever had. Not greasy and won't stay with you all day! I can't wait for my next trip

Good, but not great. 5 minutes away is far better at Tanjore. And for 5 star Indian cuisine, make the trip to Jaipore Royal Cuisine in Brewster. By far the best around.

Excellent restaurant. Amazing food, fair pricing, great staff. The best Indian restaurant in the area, by far. Would not change a thing. The standard classic chicken tikka masala is fantastic, as is the rosemary garlic naan.

This has been such a wonderful experience!!! We had a group of 48 individuals after leaving our JW facilities in Patterson, NY who were looking for food. Delightfully, I was part of a few brave souls to try out Gymkhana….. They DID NOT let me down!!!!!! I’m vegan and it’s really tough for me to find restaurants that have a selection for me. This Indian cuisine had more than enough for me as well as my not so vegan friends lol. I wish I could drive everyday back here to enjoy such flavorful food. A true Indian masterpiece in one of the most unlikeliest of areas. I can truly say, none of us expected this. I never leave reviews for restaurants but felt the need to!!! THANK YOU for your love through food!!! Staff was very pleasant as well….. Hope this post helps, especially if our dear brothers are looking for a good place to enjoy.

this review is based just regarding takeout. We have yet to eat there and are looking forward to going soon. My girlfriend likes to order order. Actually she habitually over orders so we have leftovers for a good week. She ordered about 4 to 5 entrées so we got an excellent sampling on the menu. I am a veteran of Indian food. I’ve been to India. I’ve been to the East Village in Manhattan. I know my Indian food. This is the best I’ve ever had. I’m going to spare you a lengthy review. Trust me - go and order anything. The coconut nan bread makes a great dessert.

My wife and I were up on a hiking trip from NYC and staying at a hotel in the same little office park as the restaurant. It was a wonderful surprise to read some foodie reviews and find this place so close by. There are some reviewers here who were far too harsh and appear to be fellow citizens of the Indian subcontinent. Now, I'm no connoisseur of Indian cuisine and have yet to visit India, but I have eaten a lot of Indian food from many restaurants in NYC, and none were better than Gymkhana. If I lived up here with so few choices in cuisine (as compared to NYC) I would count myself very lucky, indeed, to have Gymkhana in the neighborhood. The rack of lamb was the most outstanding thing we had and the---I'm forgetting the name of the bread---the inflated bread---was very tasty. Everything was good, and we had a lot of leftovers.

My husband ran into get Garlic Naan as we know they close for lunch at 230, he ran into just get the bread at 200 .. he came out at 215.. with BURNT naan bread. Now the top doesn’t look as burnt as the bottom is.. we understand they close at 230.. but to do that to someone’s food who came a half hour before for one item… Wow. First and last time ever coming here. The pictures don’t even do it justice.

I think this Indian restaurant is fabulous!! The staff are so warm and friendly. The buffet on Sundays are the very best. Each week, they change their buffet but all of their dishes are amazing.. When you taste the first taste, your mouth will explode in flavors! I always eat 2 full plates there plus fresh fruit afterward. Today, I had Ragan Josh, which is the best and most tender lamb dish in their gravy I ever had. I also had vegetable Indian stew and a crepe with potatoes and peas inside. Their naan is so delicious when you dip it into the different sauces. I love it so much there. The best restaurant. It's very casual inside. So relax and for $21..95 help yourself on a taste journey ride to India!!!!

Honestly BEST FOOD IN HUDSON VALLEY. My boyfriend and I recently moved to Beacon area from the city and we were struggling to find good restaurants. Every restaurant we tried in Hudson valley was mediocre and bland and not elevated. You can tell this chef is talented. Compliments to the chef for these meals. He even hand delivered the food to our table. This place is now our top restaurant. We ordered the madrasi prawn and it was so tasty! Then we both ordered the specials which was Lamb korma with a Garlic naan and jasmine rice we CLEANED the plates. The Ginger crème brûlée was also amazing! I highly recommend anyone to come here it’s basically a restaurant you find in the city but in Fishkill. PS we are big foodies!

I should have rated them sooner but now you get a multi experience review. I think it is important to mention that my husband was born and raised in Delhi. We eat Indian food allllll of the time. We go to Delhi (capital of India for those who don’t know) annually, and we also live in Jersey city which has an enormous Indian population. We are headed to Delhi in one week for our India wedding and omg thank you - my family - who has never left the country - met us here tonight and the food here made them even more excited about visiting India! They (and we) loved every single thing we got. I always want chili paneer - and it was truly outstanding here. My father couldn’t stop talking about the chili chicken, the chicken curry, the bhindi, the chana, a shrimp dish we had, and the Hakka noodles. My father wants to come back every few weeks and just start from the beginning and order everything on the menu - LOL We also got food from here for our US wedding (rehearsal dinner and dessert for wedding) and they did everything awesome. (HAVE THE RAS MALAI.) it made me wish we had them cater the wedding tbh. Viljo (one of the owners) was amazing to work with and had made the right move realizing he should open this place!!! Ps - we love the name because gymkhana is a famous “club” in India, which I have been lucky enough to actually go to)

I Hope to change my review in the future. So I'm usually the only black female at this restaurant not minorities come to this restaurant. The prices are unreasonable to start. The food is well. I love the cheese Naan and always take some home to my family. I had a female waiter for the first time and was very excited to have this waiter. Then I realized the waiter hated our table. This female waiter gave us dirty looks, never smiled at us and lied about the price of food so she could get a better tip. I asked of the cheese Naan was 75 cents each for extra Naan and she said yes. She asked if I wanted it to go and said sure that fine. I could tell she judged me for order extra Naan but I just didn't let it bother me. So then randomly the music turns off and goes and the place goes mute. It was awkward. At the end we llget the bill and it was incorrect. I explained to her what she told us. And the waiter dismissed me completely, I went to the mail head of house and they were kind and took it off the bill. I was willing to even give back the Naan due to the gavt she lied for a bigger tip. Might not come back for another few months. Hopefully things change and that waiter is not their anymore. Advice, change prices, lower them or fix the interior design to match the prices.

Been going to this place since it's opened. Its my family favorite indian restaurant around, they have tons of varieties(veg & nonveg) in their buffet including chaat. Their made to order food is also really good. They have kids menu too, which is so convenient to order for my little one. The quality of every item they serve is top notch. The restaurant is clean and very hygienic.

You don't need to go all the way to Mumbai now that Gymkhana is off Rt 9; this place is as authentically Indian as you will find outside of India! Very carefully/authentically prepared Indian food like this has a lot of freshly ground spices so it takes a little longer to get your food than a typical restaurant. But if you have less time you can get the very awesome buffet! Breads are ridiculously good here and I never miss the Aloo Paratha (bread stuffed with spiced potatoes). Another favorite is the Indian-Italian (!) fusion Cavatelli pasta with shrimp, and let me tell you that it is beyond delicious! Portions of all dishes are HUGE and they give you all kinds of tasty dipping sauces alongside. If a dish says spicy it will be VERY SPICY like in India...you can always ask them to lower the heat. They have plenty of not spicy dishes as well. Finally, I like trying new things and you can do this a lot at Gymkhana, so I got a Dosa (Indian rice crepe) and it was almost 2 feet long (!) and was incredibly fresh and well spiced. I feel like I am in India when I eat Gymkhana. No kidding!

Delicious Indian food! Everything our table got was a hit. I especially loved the Kori Salan- mild, creamy, and the chicken was so tender. Highly recommend!!!

The food is ok to good. The buffet selection is ok. The service is fine. The price is outrageous for what you end up getting. For a $30 lunch (with tea) I expect much higher quality and selection. It's a $16 buffet pretending to be super high end and charging for that.

gymkhana is always very clean, and the staff is so friendly! The food is always top tier, it is always our go to location for groups or a few friends grabbing a meal. The classic Tikka Masala Is so good, but I’ve loved every single thing I’ve tried! A meal plus Naan and a drink usually runs us around $30 with tip, which is very reasonable for a large meal with enough for leftovers for me. Thanks so much to the great staff
