The food was ok at best but we got mauled by bees ….. they swarmed us in multiple locations, I have never seen anything like it. We ended up dumping our entire order to avoid getting stung multiple times.

Get a dz and shuck your own, maybe even get two. Do try the smoked salmon. Find a hut and order some chowder and a grilled cheese and take it all in.

Very touristy with high prices. The restaurant at the saloon is only open a few days around the weekend, but there is some prepared food and drinks available outside throughout the week. They do have shuck your own oysters, where you buy a bucket of them and get the tools to open them.

Stopped by Hama Hama Farm Store recently for some fresh clams. The staff on duty were helpful and knowledgeable, answering my questions about the product. Overall, a positive experience for fresh seafood. Stopped here on our drive from Port Angeles to Portland and absolutely LOVED this place. On weekdays when the Oyster Saloon is closed, you can get food at the shop cafe and eat it at those covered tables overlooking the Hood Canal - premium location, where passing orca pod and sea lions were spotted while we were enjoying our food. I had the chowder and my daughter shucked a dozen of fresh oysters. Great taste, great vibe and a great memory made! PS: Porta potty toilets were spotlessly clean.

If your on the Hood canal, you gotta go. 👍

Smoked salmon is fabulous. Lots of small shop choices. Worth stopping by, grab a bite and either stay or take to another spot along the canal. Great service.

Great place for local foods and gifts! The lunch items they serve are delicious, and I love that tend to be a twist on traditional recipes, making them fun and very tasty!

What am I missing? I'm baffled by all the great reviews. We found this place breathtakingly overpriced. Over $20 for 2 small crab cakes? Bread that could chip a tooth. Very slow service on a slow weekday. A lunch for 4 came to $100+ and we left hungry. It was recommended by the lady at the visitor information center. I guess her last name must have been Hama.

Great place! Pop in for lunch, they have great options, including oysters on the have shell, a poorboy sandwhich and local micro brews. How could you go wrong. You can also buy oysters and other seafood items inside the store.

Great location, great staff and of course the oysters are fantastic.. but, you have issues with your printers and suddenly your staff doesn't know how to write orders and walk it to the kitchen staff. That's sad, credit card machines work fine.... But you can't seat people at empty tables due to printer issues. Then, we order 5 beers, all warm as can be and the glasses can't be cooled down over cold water first.. I'm almost over this place even though I love it and I have been coming for 5+ years

Pretty cute! It's definitely for tourists with lots of money to spend.

2 dozen oysters are included with the reservation, 12 on the half shell and 12 baked. We added clam chowder, a Louie salad and drinks. In total, a bit pricey, but views were great and parties sit in these plywood A frame huts open on the sides. Bathrooms were outhouses with common area sinks.

This is a local business that sells FRESH oysters that they gather. We had never made oyster anything and a patron gave us instructions on how to make them. DELICIOUS 🤤

I can't believe that an oyster farm doesn't have oyster shooters available

So if you are plotting a trip and see this, the farm store here is an Oyster Farm. They have fresh seafood here as well as other events. It's a great stop if you are touring around the Hood Canal area.

This is quite an operation. There are stations for appetizers and beverages. Hostess station where you get a number. When your # is called, they assign you a covered table, and you can then order your food and beverage. There is a separate water station. Food is delivered to your table, and then you are on your own. We had clam and corn chowder and shrimp cocktail for appetizer. Our main meal was BBQ pork sandwich with coleslaw and chips, Crab cake with coleslaw and a little salad with dill dressing and roasted oysters. Everything was pretty good except what I would think was the main attraction. The roasted oysters. They were lukewarm, and the meat to shell ratio was very low. A man came at the end to bus our table and asked how everything was. We told him about the oysters, and he said he would see if he could do something. He never came back. We left kind of disappointed with the service in spite of the wonderful view.

What a gem! Super fun place, very big. I was there in the beginning of the season so it was not too crowded. Try all the food, it's all good.

The crab cakes were delicious, we also tried a dozen fresh oysters and the purple clam pot, the crab cake was insanely good. The beers were insanely tasty as well as the rose ginger cider

Love the fresh oysters and delicious soup! The dining area has water views.

Excellent oysters. Really cool spot, but be cautioned by their reservation system. It costs $75 to make a reservation and it comes with two dozen oysters. This is the first restaurant I’ve been to that charges to make a reservation. Everything you order is paid on top of the $75 fee (it’s not a deposit as we assumed). Turned into a very expensive lunch for two people. In summary, next time we’ll come without a reservation during a day/time that’s not busy to get all the benefits without being forced to eat items that are overpriced and excessive for 1-2 people.

Best BBQ oysters anywhere! The A frames are heated and make for a perfect cold weather dining experience. Nicest Porta potties I've ever seen. I watched adults, pets, kids, and workers all having a great time the whole time I was there. Staff was helpful and friendly. Efficient service. I just can't wait to go back!!!!!

Delicious fresh food with a view. We had baked oysters, raw oysters, clam chowder packed with seafood and grenade fish spread. Friendly service and clean outdoor bathrooms.

The perfect weekend road trip destination. Incredible food, incredible views. Eat, have a drink, and then walk the tide flats - but bring the right footwear! Hot tip: the kitchen & bar closes **early** and you must order by 3:45. This is a lunch spot. Do not plan for dinner here. Hours are 11am-4pm. Beer, wine (mulled even!), and more available. Kid friendly. Reservations highly recommended & open up Monday mornings at 9am.

Great seafood with a few non- seafood items. I was there to pick up clams to go and not when the seafood bar was open. It was so pretty out though, I decided to eat from their limited weekday menu and just had their clam and shrimp chowder. I sat by the water and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Before heading home I also got a cup of butternut squash soup to go. Yum!

Visited during the weekday and was afraid there would not be any food available. Turns out, this farm store is open and provides shucking tools to shuck their fresh oysters. I have not shucked oysters before and this helped out and was so much fun. We ended up going back for another 2 dozen oysters! Beautiful area and lots of parking

When in Rome, buy oysters! I don't give many 5s, but Hama Hama is great and a popular stop on Hyw 101 for all things oysters! One should consider reservations when you leave Port Angles/ Olympia on summer weekends. Large out door covered dining with great views of Hood Canel, 7 days a week even in winter, closes early.

Bought the Dungeness crab cakes and 2 doz manila clams. The crab cakes were the perfect balance of yummy! The clams I cooked up with pasta. The best clams I've ever had! Please keep your focus on your oysters and clams! Will definingly try the oysters nest time.

Had fun here on a summery Thursday afternoon during the live music session. Shucked some oysters, drank some beer, enjoyed the show and the view. Would come again!

Love me some fresh oysters 🦪 !! Eaten them in dozens of places on both the East & West coasts. How this place lost my business: 1. Long wait behind a single household to place my order (lots and lots of chatting). 2. Order placed & I’m about to slot my credit card into the reader, but because I had no table number — and didn’t get one because the host was AWOL when I entered the line — I was forbidden from ordering food (only a drink, a no-no for someone hypoglycemic). 3. By that point, I am at the head of a line of a dozen people. Despite a plethora of empty tables in the bar, I don’t get to eat. 4. It would take another 30 to 40 minutes for my one single solitary person to get oysters…. Because now I have to go to the back of the line, and start all over again.😥 How this nightmare 🥵could’ve been avoided: Instead of penalizing hungry folx cuz you don’t have >1 host on staff or a digitized seating plan or a bar where people can eat, offer takeaway! Or a grab-and-go menu. At the very least, try not to reduce potential customers to tears, especially those who drove hours to get there. (I gave up & headed north to patronize a kinder business.)

I didn't intend to stop here, but needed a rest-stop. It turned out to be a great find! It is an oyster farm with an outdoor eating and bar area. Their menu features lots of fresh oysters and clams plus a great beer/cider selection. They built an A-frame roof for each picnic table with a heater making this a picturesque place to chillax with friends in any weather. Highly recommend stopping if you are passing through.

Freshest oysters ever. Learned how to shuck an oyster. The smoked salmon, herbal lemonade, and sauce that comes with the oysters were my favorite.

I can't say enough good about this place. Every time I come here, I am greeted by happy, welcoming folks that are helpful. The quality and freshness is second to none and the prices are decent.

I can’t speak to the quality of the food but the service was not good. No clear signage as to where to order, how to be seated. No one talked to us for about 20 minutes. Then once we were seated, still no one came. We sat for another 20. The staff seems irritated that anyone was there. We went to another place to eat and noticed that a few other people had followed us from Hama Hama. I assume they had the same experience. The place seemed really cute. I just wish the staff was more friendly. Good luck to you guys! I hope you work out the kinks as you grow! Like I said before, the food wasn’t the problem, therefore the menu wasn’t the problem. The staff was the issue. It was as if the customers were a inconvenience just for being there. The staff could clearly be heard (in the wide open field with tables) talking about how stupid an annoying a certain table was. Not really something that creates a great atmosphere…

I remember when this was a small little secret turn out off the side of the road. I would periodically stop to get the best clams and oysters in the Puget Sound. Now this has turned into a wonderful trendy outdoor restaurant with great food and excellent local beers.

Interesting. Local oysters. Just getting ready for the season but we had delicious homemade chowder. They smoke oysters too.

If you are on your way to Olympic national park, this might be a nice place to stop. But definitely not worth it to make a trip out of it. I think their food is decent but I’m not impressed in any way. Their pricing is comparable to a high-end oyster bar in the city (e.g Taylor, Frank’s). If I’m looking for a different experience, I may as well go to Taylor’s farm up north or south bend or get a shellfish license. I hope the business doesn’t take it personally. It just my personal experience.

The food we had was very good & the setting is beautiful, but they have an EXTREMELY limited menu! I am allergic to shellfish, but the rest of the family wanted to go. I know they're trying to be different from the same boring fare, but having a basic burger & fries on the menu would be good for those that need another option.

What a cool little place. Lots of stuff to buy if you want but really just want the oysters and beer and that's exactly what they have. Bought 4 dozen and the price was very reasonable. Whole place has an awesome vibe and if I'm back in Hood canal I'll stop here again. 🦪!

Really poor menu this time of year

The farm store is a great experience and serves up quality food for sit down or take home. We really enjoyed the 12 for $12 you shuck Oysters. There's also can't miss chowder. Hama Hama had seating available during the week too even though the saloon isn't open.

Simply divine great fresh air oyster bar

OMG. The best. We had three types of shellfish and all were prepared perfectly. Cozy outside seating, protected from the rain and wind, with an individual table propane heater. Lastly, the folks running the place were friendly and on-the-ball. Don't miss this place if you are in the area. If you like shellfish, this is it.

Away from fresh seafood for 3 weeks! Called Hamma Hamma to hold oysters since they sometimes sell out especially on weekends! Hit the Oyster Saloon for grilled oysters in shell with pimento cheese! OMG! Served with sour dough bread!! Smoked salmon chowder loaded with salmon, spuds,a little corn and a fab base! Beer and wine choices ample. Sat in sunshine, inhaled the freshest air! Home sweet Home!!
