I drove by one evening on the way to my daughter's senior picture session. It smelled SO GOOD! My husband and I went tonight for dinner, and the food tasted as good as it smelled the night I drove by. They conveniently have labeled their menu with various dietary needs like gluten free, vegetarian, and more. Having the menu accessible online is also a huge plus when you are a family of various food allergies.

Great Greek food, I really like that you order at the counter and then get seated. Your food when ready is brought out to your table. If you ordered dessert, they will give you a slip to have it delivered to the table when you are ready. This was a great date night with my wife.

Hellenic Kouzina is a gem in Mechanicsburg. Food is authentically Greek and consistently delicious. Great outdoor seating options. We spent a beautiful evening on the patio with attentive service. And don't skimp on dessert. It's worth the splurge.

Lovely Greek atmosphere and music. Food was very nice, but not a Greek person in sight. All young servers. They did a fine job but I was just disappointed that there were not Greeks there. :-(

I ordered a Lamb Souvlaki Gyro, Lemono Patates, and Yia-Yia’s Balkava Cheesecake. It was so delicious. Everything was so fresh and flavorful, and the portions were generous. I definitely will be returning.

Stopped for take out. Spanakopita was not what I expected. I used the filling and replaced the crust with puff pastry. The gyro was good but expect to buy two with the gyro itself being small. They didn't put dressing on the salad or provide it separately I found this out at home. The orzo was good. This was not what I was craving in Greek cuisine but you may really like it. Their desserts looked amazing! I didn't try them yet. I will return for gyros.

The greek salad with chunks of lamb on top with the dressing was out of this world. I do not live in the area and would love to know what dressing they use on their salad. I know it was a feta based dressing!

Absolute trash. High prices small portions almost child like. Weird concept. Order at counter and pay 3% credit card fee. They ask for a tip even before you get your food. Stay away.

I've eaten here probably 6 times and I've never had food that wasn't amazing. I love that even though you order and pay at the counter, they bring the food to your table and servers are available to check on you/serve throughout the meal. It's casual but not "you're on your own". I also love sitting outside when the weather is right! The atmosphere is great and the food is excellent! Also, don't be deterred by the parking lot. The lot is super small and street parking feels limited, but it really isn't that bad. You will think it's super crowded in there based on the parking situation, but typically the restaurant still has room for you!

Parking is terrible. Very few pots to park and very small areas. We had to move to someone could get in their car but then had to move again so someone else would’ve room to leave. Ended up parking down the street and walking to the restaurant. Restaurant is beautiful outside & inside! BYOB, but it isn’t advertised. The fish tasted like lemon juice and vinegar. The caviar spread had no flavor. The smoked eggplant spread wasn’t mush of a spread, was cold, and had no flavor. The lamb gyro was basic, but good. It was very hot outside and the waiter never came back to fill our water cups, which was the only drinks we had gotten so we ended up finding a pitcher ourselves and filling our cups.

The food is AMAZING!!! Service is super helpful and friendly.BAKLAVA ice cream 😋😋😋 can't wait to try the cheesecake. The Architecture is beautiful, I love love love the fountain and music, such a calm relaxing and inviting atmosphere for all to enjoy. We will definitely be back. Thank you everyone!!!

Been coming here for years, always good tasting food. The service and establishment is top of the line.

The food is very bad and the service is also bad. The grilled octopus was burnt. I wanted to change the dish, so I ordered grilled lamb. It was so tough that you could not chew it in your mouth or swallow it. When you ask them nicely to look seriously at the bad dishes they presented to you, they do not respond to you at all and are treated with disrespect. To the point that they say to you, “This is what exists.” Whether you like it or not, do whatever you want.

We made a reservation for nine people for dinner. Showed up on time and the staff showed us a 6 seat table. Huh?? Then they told us that they do not do table service despite the web site showing videos of table service. They were slammed so we would have had to stand in line for more than 30 minutes just to put in our orders. No thanks. We left.

4 tables seated after us and left before us. They forgot about us, brought the food after 55 minutes but then forgot a burger. My sea bass was extremely over cooked. Disappointing we have had ok food in the past. Never great food but good.

I've never been more impressed by a side salad in my life! Fresh, quality ingredients with a portion size large enough to be a meal! And the creamy feta dressing was fantastic!! Staff members were quick and courteous. Lovely atmosphere too. I'm from out of town, but I know where I'll be coming again when I visit.

We stopped by for dinner. You order at the counter and get seated. They bring the food to you. We got hummus and tzatziki dip with hot pita. Burger and Gyro, which were both nicely done. Sides of pilaf and salad were tasty, too. We ended with a delicious caramel pastry. The servers walked around giving us water as needed.

We had a wonderful lunch here on a rainy day after antique shopping in Mechanicsburg. I had a Lamb Shank with rice and a Greek feta salad for $22. Ask yourself,"Why are you eating at McDonald's"?

I somehow always order something I don't like here. Others like it though and the restaurant has a nice look and feel to it. Parking is always a problem.

This is basically a fast food restaurant. The "Greek" food is made like an assembly line restaurant. It is not good Greek food. The food was also expensive. This was a very disappointing dinner. The salad with the vinegar eaten dressing was very good.

Food is always so good. Staff is nice. When the weather is nice, the outside patio is a beautiful place to sit. Especially in the evening with the lights on.

The menu had gf items marked which was great but we didn’t enjoy it. We got the dolmades and they were the saltiest things we’ve ever tasted. I got a side salad with vinaigrette and it was also ridiculously salty and almost unbearable. We also got pork skewers and they were extremely dry. I’m not sure if we went on a bad night or they had a different chef but we won’t be back again. The Greek fries were good and my husband did like his gyro.

Very happy to enjoy another meal here. Everything was delicious, although I would have preferred more cucumbers and onions on my Greek salad. They don't take orders at the tables, which I also prefer. Certainly, neither are reasons to not come back again.

The younger man cashier wasn’t very friendly when we were placing our order at the counter. The food was below average. The chicken skewers were dry. The lemon potatoes and rice weren’t very good. It took a long time to get refills on drinks.

Great local spot! We stopped going to the yearly Greek festival when we found this restaurant. It’s consistent and extremely good, every time.

Beautiful restaurant. Calm, clean, and pleasant ambiance. Super friendly, kind, and attentive servers. The food was amazing. I enjoyed a delicious Greek salad piled with fresh feta cheese, olives and dressing. The chicken souvlaki perfectly grilled and seasoned paired with a rice pilaf and Lima bean. Ron devoured a classic gyro and seasoned fries. We took home a baklava cheesecake that was out of this world! Their desserts all looked amazing. The prices were completely reasonable especially considering the portion sizes and taste. Very well done!

Just go for the baklava cheesecake. Just do it. Heavenly. The rest of the food was tasty too. We had the signature gyro, Greek salad with feta dressing and chicken souvlaki. The patio looks like a great place to eat in warmer months and we enjoyed the indoor water feature.

Really solid Greek food. Prices are a little high, but you get what you pay for. It tastes so good. They also do well with gluten free options. The restaurant has done very well with the space they have and the atmosphere is good. However, parking is limited and there is a road close to the outdoor seating area.

Interesting place. Yes they do have menus, but they also have the same menu posted above the register. You order and pay for your food before being seated. The portion sizes are great. We got two appetizers, two entrées, and two desserts. After tip, came to $85. We left with extra and full bellies.

As locals we are frequent diners at Hellenic Kouzina. The food is always outstanding, and the ambiance and people are great! We have had many meals there. If you have a salad, don’t miss the creamy feta dressing. Delish! The sweet potato fries—so good! And the spanikopita (entree or appetizer) among the best. Lamb shanks? Yes, please! And do not pass on dessert! Baklava or baklava cheesecake…you will thank me for it!

Absolutely blown away by this “local/hidden gem” Greek restaurant and impressed by every single aspect of our experience - grab a wine and read on. When I emailed to make a reservation for 8, Dina immediately responded and was so helpful even when I kept making changes to the schedule. And on the morning of, I also received a follow up call to confirm. When we arrived, from afar the restaurant was lit up with lovely lights and the design of the restaurant with its outdoor patio/fire pits was so inviting - huge Welcome sign and accessible parking lot. Now this was the part that is unique. You order and pay at the front before you get your food. Love the daily specials and just a different take than your typical full service restaurant yet you are getting FULL service!! We had no less than than 5-6 waitstaff tending to us all night, they help each other out and every one of them was cordial, responsive and genuine. This being a BYOB, beautiful wine glasses were brought over and it is refreshing to pair your own wine with the dishes. Wow the dishes - appetizers all landed. Can’t say enough about the saganaki (Greek cheese cooked table side by pan frying with olive oil, flambéed with wine and doused with lemon) tasting so good with pita at only $9.99. For a large group, try the Pikilia sampler dish ($27) of several appetizers like pork and chicken souvlaki, spanakopita, 2 dolmades, etc - great for sharing. And to top things off, chargrilled octopus on a bed of salad at $11.99 was pure delight. On to the entrees, I must rave about my oven baked lamb shank which was moist and tender huge portion and seasoned with thyme and tomato red wine sauced. Couple with the rice that soaked up the sauce, what a bargain at $22.99! Others enjoyed the chargrilled chicken souvlaki skewers and this unique dish called “pastitsio” which was long ziti pasta layered and baked with combo of meat sauce and bechamel sauce. Most of the entrees came with a refreshingly tasty and generously sized Greek salad sprinkled with feta, olives and tomato with either cream or vinaigrette dressing. For those desiring sandwiches they offer 6-7 types of gyros, greek Turkey burger, and flatbread. What completed our night was the fact that two of our party got presented with a free black and white mousse cake adorned with cherry, ganache, and candle on top. They literally took the cakes out of the dessert display next to the cashier. Don’t want to forget the huge cappuccino that we ordered. The whole experience compelled my mom (who visited Greece after the Olympics) to proclaim “This is better and more authentic than what we ate in Athens!” High praise genuinely deserved by this neighborhood gem!

The food is wonderful in all respects. We will be returning soon. If you just want coffee and dessert, they have an exceptional list of options.

I’ve previously tried the food truck and finally made it to the brick and mortar. The set up of the restaurant is very strange. You order at the counter, and you’re given a number. However, you don’t choose your own seat. You have to wait to be seated. People bring your food out and refill your drinks, so I’m confused as to whether the staff is making at least minimum wage without factoring in tip or if they’re relying on tips. I felt a bit crowded by the staff. They kept coming to ask to take away plates even though our table wasn’t crowded with dishes. Maybe they really needed to use the dishes or were trying to stay on top of things, but it was a bit awkward. Food was good but not amazing like some of the other reviews make it out to be. There is a 3% surcharge when paying by credit card.

Hellenic Kouzina was quite the dining experience. The restaurant boasts a wonderful ambience, highlighted by a beautiful glass waterfall divider in the middle of the room. What immediately caught my attention was how impeccably clean the bathrooms were, a testament to their commitment to cleanliness. There's an enticing open air patio, but we chose to dine inside as it was a bit brisk this fine fall day. Now, onto the unique ordering process. At Hellenic Kouzina you place your order, pay and tip right away at the register, which is somewhat unexpected for a restaurant that leans toward a finer dining experience. Nevertheless, any initial skepticism was swiftly dispelled by the attentive servers who promptly delivered our food once we were seated. The slight hiccup was that I hadn't anticipated this pay-first-serve-later setup, and unfortunately I paid by credit card and didn't have enough cash on hand to leave a respectable tip. This, made me feel terrible because both the food, especially the lamb Souvlacki, and the service were excellent. Speaking of the lamb Souvlacki, it was a delightful reminder of a dish I hadn't enjoyed in years, as it's not commonly found in many Greek restaurants these days. The flavors were authentic and satisfying and the lamb was cooked to perfection. The salad was a refreshing mix of fresh greens with a generous smattering of Feta cheese. The fried Calamari appetizer we ordered was slightly overcooked, but the seasoning was tasty. My dinner didn't come with any pita bread which was a little disappointing and our server, though exceptionally polite and attentive, didn't appear to know much English which made it difficult to get this across to her so I did without. In conclusion, despite the initial surprise regarding the payment process, I plan to return to Hellenic Kouzina. Next time, I'll make sure to have cash on hand for a well-deserved tip, as I believe in letting the meal and service set the stage for tipping - like waiting for a play to unfold before applauding the actors. Hellenic Kouzina offers a memorable dining experience, and I look forward to my next visit!

This is a nice low key counter order restaurant with some impressive food. My wife and I ordered a bunch of appetizers including the gyro fries, spanakopita, octopus, dolmas (huge - size more associated with cabbage rolls), a Greek salad, a lamb skewer and some orzo. All of it was quite well done and enjoyable. We were too full to enjoy dessert but those looked like doozies.

The food is always fresh & fantastic. They have friendly service & great ambience if you choose to dine-in.

I met friends here for lunch. The gyros and Greek Salad were delicious. We were 5here on a weekday afternoon and they were not busy. Food was served promptly and they allowed us to sit and chat for over an hour. I'll definitely be back!

One of our favorite places in the area, and hard to beat if you are looking for fantastic Greek food. One time, my wife and I ordered way too much food for two people. I'm talking like 4 entrees and just as many appetizers. The chef came over and asked us why we ordered so much food for just two people, and we told him it was because we hadn't been there in a while and loved the food there. He then gave us 4 of his favorite desserts to try. Boy howdy were they delicious! What a great place!

The gyro cravings got the better of me today so I had to make my way down here to give them a try. I usually prefer small hole in the wall Middle Eastern places for their gyros but this place definitely deserves its title. Gyro was stuffed but not overly, the lamb was tender and seasoned, and the tzatziki was smothered on. Meant to get greek fries but the regular ones were ok. The napoleon cheesecake was amazing, I like Dalicia’s pastries that are up the road but this definitely gave them a run for their money.

Very impressed. Every part of our meal was delicious. I started with the Greek salad and the feta was perfectly crumbled and the dressing was tangy and light. The kabobs had a slight grilled char and were flavorful and moist. The rice had fresh herbs and a mild pleasant lemon flavor. To finish the baklava had all of the expected flavors and the honey provided was the perfect touch. Thanks for a lovely satisfying meal!

Very good food, however, they do not take your order from the table. You order at the counter, choose a table, and they bring your food to the table when it is ready. This is okay but I would rather have full table service. My gyro was very good and the server was very pleasant and efficient. The restaurant was very clean including the rest room. I would go back again when I am in the area.

This was my first visit here. It was lunch with 12 former classmates. We were seated in a room that was not designed for a setup of 4 seat tables pushed together in one long section. It was difficult to walk past the other girls on either side of the tables and to maneuver and then having to go to register to order/restroom visits. If having a large group of diners seating should be arranged better. The meal was good and served quickly. Our waitress was nice and helpful.

This used to be one of my favorite places to eat. The deck is gorgeous, the service is fantastic but the past few times the food has been terrible. We went last night and I grabbed to go boxes because I felt bad saying the food was bad. It’s way too salty and it was over cooked. The tatziki was bland and tasteless. I’m afraid I’m done with this place.

It continues to be strange they make people order at the counter, then serve you anyway. Now, there are no prices posted on the board or paper menu. It all makes for an annoying, awkward experience. I had rated 4 stars, but I have to lower with this deal a person can't sit and look at a menu with prices.

I met friends and family there for dinner...it was busy--Friday night. No one could sit outside because of the storms/heat...so even with as busy as it was we were still able to get a table. As always, the food was delicious! Service is outstanding!

I have been to Greek festivals run entirely by Greek communities with food that isn’t as good as this. I have eaten at Tarpoon Springs in FL where there is nothing but Greeks and their wonderful food and they can learn something from this place in <checks notes> Mechanicsburg, PA. Just amazing Greek food and worth every second and penny.

Excellent for any occasion. We order from here from work pretty often. Love the gyro and Baklava. Today I actually went in to pick up the food, and the ambience is excellent... Definitely sheek. They have good pastries I haven't seen in a while. A must visit if in the area.

So I got spanakopita, lamp and fries the food was warm, don’t get the fries waste of money no taste whatsoever. Also never once did anyone ask me if the food was ok and they were not busy at all

For the value, the food is awesome. I would recommend extra tzatziki sauce if you love a lot on your gyro. I thought the baklava was awesome, honestly I want to try all their desserts. It’s hands down also one of the best decorated casual restaurants ever. Friendly people and staff. I will be back.

Food is good abd reasonably priced. The outdoor patio is lovely, but get a table away from the street to minimize traffic noise. They like to turn the tables quickly and when you are half way through the meal will stop to ask if you need a box, about every 10 minutes. If I wanted fast food, I would go there! I am a slow eater and we like to converse and enjoy our food. Other than this annoying interruption, the restaurant is great. Don't miss the dessert case!
