Went here a couple times,tried a lot, everything was delicious, and the service was above and beyond friendly. You can tell the lady here loves what she does and puts care in the food. We tried the Jamaican and Thai burritos but they were more like a type of wrap in a triangle homemade quesadilla thing, I’m not sure exactly what you would call it but they were both delicious..The soup and dessert were also rich and flavorful. We also loved the vegan sushi!!The smoothies were also great. Atmosphere was small, yet chill and artsy. A place you could just go and vibe peacefully. The menu could be more organized, for example I saw a customer order a bowl that looked really delicious but I didn’t see that on the menu I guess the smoothies come in smoothie or bowl form but that wasn’t really clear and it didn’t really say what toppings could be put on the bowl but the customer I saw I had lots of toppings that looked good. Would also be a good idea to offer upgrade options to the smoothies like a scoop of plant protein powder, Maca powder, reishi powder, or any other super food/ energy enhancing addition.

This place feels like a hidden Gem! Amazing vegan food in an industrial part of town. Lisa is an amazing cook in a small but mighty kitchen.

Excellent vegan dishes. The Owner/Chef Lisa is very nice and talented. The atmosphere was nice and cozy, it felt like I was visiting a friend's house.

Maui Acai bowl is definitely a must try. Vegan options include pizza, spaghetti, tacos and more. Pro tip: Jain options can be customized upon request at least a day in advance.

Delightful food in a cozy, quirky space. Had the spaghetti in a hand pie and the quinoa. Both excellent. Chunky monkey smoothie was good, too.

I read about Hempy’s after a search for vegetarian food, and I am SO GLAD I did! My friend and I went there for lunch and it was absolutely wonderful. From the service to the samples to the food itself to the ambiance, we loved it. We could have stayed all day, it was so comfortable and we had been so heartily welcomed! I highly recommend this gem of an eatery to all adventurers, great and small.

Lisa and her family became our extended family after spending a few months on island. Eating here multiple days a week, on very restrictive diets. Lovely veggie soup and Freshly juiced drinks daily! The Acai is amazing. Vegan, Gluten Free, Vegetarian, what ever you need it's there!

Got a Maui açaí bowl and it was wonderful. You can taste the freshness and it wasn’t too sweet which perfect for my husband and I. The owner and her daughter were awesome and we even got to try a sample of their peanut butter pie.. wish we weren’t leaving afterwards otherwise I would have breakfast lunch and dinner there! Wonderful atmosphere, wonderful people, and fantastic food, you can really tell they care about the product and are passionate about it. Do yourself a favor and check it out if you’re in the area!

Met the owners and got to talk to them for a while. Very good moocho mango smoothie! Refreshing! Smelled some delicious food while we were there too.

I had the hardest time finding vegetarian food while working on Maui. I finally found this place on my way to the airport. It was truly delicious vegan food. If you’re like me that’s a hard sentence to dish out. Recently went vegetarian for a stomach issue and I’m still having a hard time. I had the soup, delicious! I’ve never been a fan of mushroom burgers, I was skeptical but it blew me away, delicious! Best veggie burger I’ve had, a little different but delicious! I also had the Chunky Monkey it was good. Not like the food which was delicious, but still a good tasty better than average smoothie. All in all well deserving of a try if you’re vegan or not. Well deserved 5 stars! I’ll be back, mahalo.

Absolutely the Best!!! Lisa runs the whole show and does it with the perfect amount of spice! Feels like home with the most delicious soups, sandwiches and smoothies! Definitely recommend, especially if you’re just starting/trying vegan cuisine! ❤️

Wonderful little cafe. We were looking for vegan restaurant and stumble across this cafe. Wonderful owner and chef. We tried strawberry shorty beach bowl . Amazing vegan smoothy with incredible amount of ingredients. We also had spaghetti and taco which comes with sides of soup, house salad and vegan pie . Amazing taste. Owner was wonderful and it was great to hear her story as well . Must try if you are in Maui..very reasonable price.

This food was soooo comforting and tasty!!!!! Definitely filling and satisfying. Highly recommended. We split the mango smoothie, nochix parm spaghetti sandwich and jackfruit sandwich. Along with the salad, soup, and pie. I thought the food was all worth more than we paid (which I don’t say often anymore). And I left feeling full and energized. Thanks for the yummy meal!

From the moment my husband and I walked in, the woman was there to feed us (she is Italian). She let us know that she was out of some things right away. We finally ordered and sat back in the funky seating that she had spread throughout the room. She quickly brought our food out. I wish I had taken a picture of it since it was so much more than both of us had anticipated. The food tasted amazing! She gave us a "tasting" of her homemade ice cream, which I took as for some a serving size. Both flavors, strawberry and coconut was so good. After we were done eating, we chatted for a while, which was also a great conversation, and then we let her get back to doing her work. My husband and I both were happy to have found this little piece of heaven.

What a hidden gem!!! This happened to come up on my Facebook feed and so I went in to check it out and boy oh boy, what a pleasant surprise!!! The owner Lisa is super super friendly. She let us sample all kinds of things. Everything we tried was delicious. I am not a vegan, but this food was amazing and I will come back again and again.!!!! This is a great local business. I encourage everyone to support.!!!!!

A MUST! What a special meal, some of the most flavorful, filling, and thoughtfully prepped vegan food. I had two jackfruit tacos, delicious! Green smoothie, and a sweet treat at the end, vegan apricot mango pie!! Plus the customer service was top notch :) thank you again for such a pleasant experience!!

Hempy’s is THE place to go if you are Vegan or not. The shakes, pies, soups, sandwiches, salads, etc are fresh and delicious!! Everything is made daily and served with a smile by the owners. The cafe is adorable and comfortable to hang out and relax in. I highly recommend Hempy’s to anyone looking for a great meal on Maui!!!

We found this hidden gem by accident! The quinoa based vegan soup and tortilla sandwich were amazing, but more satisfying was the interaction with the family while we were waiting for our food to be ready! We would highly recommend visiting this place if you are in the area.

The Acai bowl was amazing! Very big portion made it well worth it. And they have instruments to play and books to read while there!

The owner is super friendly and we have loved everything that we've tried here, including two different kinds of soup, various smoothie "beach bowls" (the açaí bowls are filling and healthful!) and the pizza made with homemade bread and sauce! We would definitely recommend this shop to vegans and non-vegans alike.

Amazing smoothie place !! Super nice employees !

The soup was the best that has been in my mouth. Very warming after a windy beach day. Then went to a açaí bowl, it’s huge, delicious and energizing. Pie to top it off, phenomenal. Very fair prices (especially for the top healthy ingredients quality) and quick service. Afterwards all 4 of us were amped up and ready for a second surf, we will be back.

I love this cafe! I’m not even vegan but I really appreciate how clean and nourishing the food is. The atmosphere of this place is so cozy and welcoming, it feels like a family welcoming me into their home. Instantly made friends and had great conversations hanging out in this space while enjoying the yummy food. They make the best smoothie I’ve had on island! Great affordable prices too.

The food is amazing, my favorite item on their menu is their pies. Being a vegan coming to Hempys is just a great experience overall and the food is delicious.

Cafe was very hospitable, comfortable and delicious. Would definitely recommend rather local or tourist for a quick bite or a place to spend time and catch up on your work. Great family here! Had the taco sandwich and mango smoothie which was very tasty. Wife had the turkey sandwich and mango smoothie also was amazing!
