Great place for late lunch before many restaurants are open in Laguna. Had the BLT+Avocado sandwich - very good!

I lost 20 minutes and $58 in this place!

Dark and dingy inside, but a pretty great outside(ish) upstairs area.

Burger was good. But the ahi app was meh , wontoncrisps served with it tasted day old so I didn't eat them

Had a great dinner here with some Fam who were in-town for a vacation. Staff was super-friendly and very accommodating for one member in our party who has mobility issues. Can’t wait to come here again!

Heinously local favorite. Twice this week I had a pre noon Bloody Mary, $7, some say the best in town. Thursday I also had the $6 Smash burger with fries special. Delicious Juicy Cheesy Bacony Oniony. Great spot a 1/2 block from Main Beach.

I wanted to love the Irish nachos but they were soggy and did not pop like I've had at other Irish Pubs.

Great ambience, very cool and lots of people. Plenty of seats and clean.

Very good, nice atmosphere and great service. Pretty good selection of beers on tap and lots of other options too. Restrooms are clean. Not too loud and not too quiet, while also having good location in regards to the beach. Good time had been had here and will be had here.

Not too busy, but great service. Had the Ahi Poke that was very good! Enjoyed the $7 Amsterdam Lemonade and local beers.

This place is basic AF. There are better bars around and the staff here seems to have a chip on their shoulders. Y’all gonna learn the hard way I guess that you won’t have repeat customers. Good luck

It is what it is. Don't expect more and you'll be quite happy. It's a great bar tavern.

Food was good. Was a long wait for the food but it was also a week night and we had a 9 person group.

Great special’s especially for a tourist area. Buy one get one burgers on Tuesdays. See the happy hour menu. They also serve a great breakfast. Hennessey’s is actually a chain. I have been to the one in Carlsbad and Vegas. All excellent. Nothing fancy just a solid sports bar.

It's a bar. Sports bar mainly. Food was just ok and not something I would have again. Overpriced food and drinks. Will choose another place next time.

I love Hennessey's Tavern. I can see people who are walking down the street and sunset in the seats at patio. Servers are very kind, and food's are really tasty. I ate crispy calamari, onion rings, taco platter, and pretzel burger. Everything was good. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The fish tacos were really a surprise, it felt like a very coordinated fusion & I recommend it!! Buffalo wings are just good as it is, it seems to be fried/baked, despite the good sauce it is a bit dry on the inside! I have to say i love their fries (or sm i just hungry?) ... Attentive server & great atmosphere <3 Their burger look really good but we didn't try it 😔

This was a great food. I also like bar. Music was awesome. We went to 4 different place and this one the was we really enjoyed. It is also very close to water. I got the second photo from the beach. It is a few minutes walking distance from the bar Our server was really friendly. He was checking us often and making sure we had a good time

Very comfortable, nice menu, karaoke, and live music. Has an upstairs and main floor bars. Service was outstanding!

Staff took great care of us, and the food and drinks were wonderful.

2 stars because the food is always hot. But every time I come in there are misbehaved dogs inside. See my photo. Patrons and employees had to walk around these 3 dogs for the entire hour I was there. They left wet marks on the floor and chewed on napkins while the owners ignored them. This is just disgusting. Food establishments need to put their foot down and enforce some kind of rules about dogs. Won’t be back.

Liked the bar theme. Nice decor all around. Very friendly server too. Ordered a Hazy IPA. It was really tasty. Good location too

The food was delicious and the drinks were on point! The best part was the staff! Every bartender was efficient, made great drinks, but best of all kind and welcoming!!! Shout out to Gorgette, Megan, and Aleena! You made our stay that much better! This was our go to place on vacation!

The fish tacos were a little over fried I'd stick to the burgers and wings next time great beer selection!

Came for St Patrick's Day, fish and chips were some of the best I've had. The rest of the food was good as well. Service was a bit slow (but it was their busy holiday) and the seating was a bit close together so it was sort of loud.

Overpriced, rude staff, and disgusting toilets… look elsewhere for a good time

I used to really like their food. Now all of the food seems packaged and prepared. It just doesn't seem very fresh at all. It's nice that they serve food a bit later than everyone else and that's usually why I end up here. It's certainly not my "go to" place. It's more of a default place.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon just to have a couple of drinks and enjoy the beautiful day. I have never seen service so slow in pretty much my entire life. All we had were drinks, very low maintenance and it would take an average of 18 minutes just to get somebody to bring us one drink. And by the way, we had to walk all the way back to the bar just to order because the waitress never came around after delivering the first round of drinks. The staff looks stressful and although our waitress is sweet and friendly, nobody else here is. You're paying through the nose for the location and they know it but there are lots of other choices around. The water is not running in the bathroom so you cannot flush the toilet or wash your hands which is so nice that they don't tell you ahead of time and you have to find out the hard way. This place is really just a disgraceful. It is crowded down here on a weekend and everywhere has a waiting list except for this place, there were plenty of open tables, I guess that should have been our first clue.

Quaint place, found by just walking in Laguna Beach. The french onion soup was delicious. The appetizer which could really be a meal was chicken wings but came with fries and celery. Very reasonably priced and had live music. Steve Northeast sang and played the guitar. Will go back again.

Good Irish coffee, fast service and ok prices. Parking can be hit or miss when busy.

We just wanted a quick burger. The place just looks and sounds like a neighborhood spot, where the locals hang out, kind of like Cheers. Nothing fancy, but the service was super friendly and the burgers were really good, the beer was cold and crispy and I NEVER order cocktails from places like this, but did and it was great. Great happy hour prices and selection. If you're in the area and want a quick burger and a beer, it's worth the stop

Great place. Had lunch. House burger and French onion soup. Both were excellent. It was New Years Day and they were short of help but the waiter did an excellent job although very busy. Prices were good and atmosphere was reflective of a neighborhood Irish pub. Highly recommend.

It was Thanksgiving weekend and the place was packed. Our servers was off the charts. Food was quick and hot . I'll be back when I'm in town again

We were there after dinner and walking thru downtown Laguna Beach. We didn't have to wait for a table at 7 pm. The service was ok as far as speed of food delivery, but the server Blaklee was fun, attentive, patiently answered questions about the food and the area around the restaurant. The food was Delicious! We had onion rings and Cap'n Paul Caramel delight and it was a delight! If you like caramel you will love this dessert. It was tasty and enough to share for 2 people. The onion rings were enough for 2 people.

Stopped here for lunch after a walk along the beach. Great food and drinks. Good place to watch games on TV.

We love Hennesey’s. Dug seeing Halley Copello play. The reason we come back is our waiter Chris from HB. A good dude and takes care of us.

This place is a joke. One waitress who ignores you. Horrible cover band. Can't even ask if the kitchen is open (totally ignored at 10:15pm) . What a joke. Never spending another $1 here. Avoid at all costs.

I'm from New Jersey and we are used to fabulous pizza, the thin crust was just delicious and crispy. The beer....so cold and delicious. I had a salad but that didn't impress me. Not a salad place

It was karaoke night and wanted to sing 'a man without love," and turn my mic low. The bartender gaslighted me by saying I sound great. In the middle of the song I cracked my voice intentionally so I can know that they were full of it. Apparently if you're a loner they won't take care of you but if your with drunken 20 year old, they'll give you the red carpet treatment. Marine room is better.

Met my friend there for lunch. The service was a little slow - it was even hard to get the attention of the server to pay the bill but we enjoyed the food.

After walking around window shopping for awhile, ran across Hennessey's and decided to go in for an early lunch. Chris was out server and he was great! Super efficient and very nice. The food is great, served promptly and was hot and tasty. Highly recommend the homemade chips! Would not hesitate to return to this establishment to try other options.

Nice ambiance. Less than a block from Laguna Beach's historic Main Beach where I spent summer days in the '70s. Selby, the bartender, was very nice.

So much fun. I was in Laguna for two days and went to Hennessey's both nights. It is a two story building and trust me, go upstairs. On Thursday they had karaoke and we all had so much fun. The DJ had every song we wanted to sing and the other patrons were supportive and made it an easy experience to sing in public. The next night DJ Sunny ( same DJ from karaoke) was there and he kept the party going. Customers were able to request songs and the place had just the right amount of people. Great music, crowd and drinks. This place has to be the best bar in Laguna.

I didnt get the bartenders name but she was amazing and made me and my girlfriend feel very welcomed and was on top of it. Hospitality was very nice. Really nice laid back bar downstairs, party zone upstairs seems like a blast. Would definitely come back.

Came in from out of town. Family Wanted to watch our home team football game. Called up Hennessys to see if they would have it on. They said sure come on down. Got there and the game was already on for us with a table ready next to the tv. Was there for three hours! Server was good and made sure we had everything we needed the whole time. Great experience.

The food was good, the service was really slow even tho it was not crowded. I was just hanging with my girlfriends, so I didn't care. Don't come here if you're in a rush is all I'm saying.

Got a big take out order for 11 people. The food was great. The staff on the phone took our order correctly even with a few special requests. The food was ready early which was hard to believe since they were busy. Thanks for making a great take out meal for our large group. See you next time!

Live music from Von Hill was great! Good and drink were wonderful. Something about an unpretentious Irish pub is just great! The service was on top of their game! And the bloody Mary’s are spicy just the way I like them!

What great music on Saturday night! Nico (lead singer and guitar) was so talented as was his drummer and other guitarist, covering Led Zepp and pearl Jam among other greats. Highly recommend catching that if you can and sit outdoors to also enjoy the weather and great cocktails!
