The food was pleasantly different. Good but not great. This is probably my second time trying authentic Indian food. The staff was very helpful in helping me choose because I didn't know what most things were. The Naan bread was good. They have an outdoor patio and the inside was decorated exactly as you would expect if you have watched any Bollywood movies. It was nice.

I was a bit skeptical to go here because of the general bad reviews in the recent times. But I can’t call myself a gourmet if I don’t experiment and take risk. And it turns it was not as bad as was depicted in the reviews. Tried the chowmein and the masala chai. Both were good. I have to try more dishes to give an elaborate review but the food isn’t bad for sure. This place lost me in its atmosphere. The interiors are very rundown. Feels like I am eating in a cave. Also, I felt this place lacked on the cleanliness part. Overall, a decent one-time try. And keep in mind that spice levels here are elevated. I ordered spice level 3 and it was spicy for me. So non-browns might want to stick to 2.

I ordered a Nepali Khasi ko masu; it was better right after getting and having it. Aroma was ok in the beginning and I had some leftover. I got in home; left in fridge for some time and the goat meat slowly start tasting like a lamb and even the texture as well. I want goat meat not lamb.

This review is over due! I used to LOVE this place. I’m not sure if they got new management or what but ever since Covid the food quality has gone down hill and I mean it’s BAD! I used to get the Chana masala with naan and the masala is so oily and gross now and the bread doesn’t even taste the same at all! I feel bad steering you somewhere else but this shop should feel bad charging us for crap food lol Go to clove in Renton if you want authentic Indian food and thank me later!

I ordered delivery and I should have read the recent reviews first - they did not lie about the burnt naan or the food being so spicy it’s inedible. I’m brown and have a decently high spicy food tolerance, and this was so spicy it gave me stomach pains and I’m currently in the bathroom in pain. Never again.

I visited this place hoping to try their buffet, but unfortunately, it was closed, and their website wasn't updated to reflect this. Since we were already there, we decided to stay and order from the menu. We had the chicken momos, butter chicken, and khasi ko masu (Nepali-style goat curry). The butter chicken was delicious, but the khasi ko masu was disappointing—the lemon in the sauce was overpowering and the curry itself wasn't the best. The chicken momos tasted just like the frozen Himalayan Momo brand, leading me to suspect they might be the same. We requested a level 2 spice for the goat curry, but it was much spicier than expected. Despite this, we ate it as we didn't want to send it back. The prices were ridiculous. The customer service was good, but overall, food wise it was ok.

I am from Nepal so you can imagine how much we love momos. So, I saw this resturant who make momos and I order it for my whole family even though the price was little expensive. So first thing when you open the box you see 8 pieces which is machine made and small shield plastic jhol (sauce). The taste was really bad who knows how many days this momos are been frozen, since this are made through machine👎 didn't like the jhol sauce aswell. So definitely do not go for momos from this restaurant.

I came for lunch with my family on weekday and matter of fact I’m so disgusted and disappointed that I’m typing this while I’m in restaurant looking at my plate. Ordered Vegetarian Momo’s, Chicken Momo’s, Paneer Chilly and Vegetarian Fried Rice. Let me tell you a joke: these guys put Haldi (Turmeric) in their Momo’s 🤣 I mean come on. Which part of India, Nepal or Tibet do they put turmeric in their dumplings 🤷🏻‍♀️ Secondly the red chatni (sauce) that comes with Momo’s is supposed to be super yummy but good lord, it’s a joke here and it was just awful tomato sauce minus the chilly. The Paneer Chilly came in ketchup. Whatttttt, I thought it’s supposed to be in soy sauce but the chef made it in ketchup. Sammy the server was good and apologized for the inconvenience. Definitely sounds more like buck being passed on owner by chef who looks very incompetent to become a chef here. Safe your trip & money guys. And if only I would have seen the reviews earlier, I wouldn’t have bothered to even visit. Definitely if owner is aware and not bothered, we ain’t gonna see this restaurant open for a very long time as the food is awful. Sounds more like cheap ingredients and high returns.

my partner and I stumbled across this palace while waiting to pick up a friend from the airport while absolutely craving daal, and we could not have left happier. the dining room was much more formal than we were expecting, and the food was INCREDIBLE!!! the plethora of plant based options were happily overwhelming, and after difficult deliberation we decided on the jhaneko daal, which I highly recommend for a filling meal. don’t make a rookie mistake, the daal soup will be brothy and thin (it’s soup) so opting for one of the daal dishes will be more thick like a curry with rice, and the flavor is beautiful. spice level 3 was adequately spicy for us - a little hot but not overpowering. for whiter tastes I would recommend 2 for a warm heat. we also ordered the aloo gobi which was DELICIOUS!! the bloomed cloves and spices shown through beautifully, and the veg was so tender, cooked to perfection. I asked for some lime to sprinkle on the rice and aloo, and stirred the green sauce from the appetizer into the rice as well which was sooo good. we appreciate the amazing food will certainly be back!! thank you!!!

Long story short food was disappointing and service was horrible it’s very sad because this place used to be so good. Wont recommend this place for buffet. The food tasted alright, so à la carte may be considered. The buffet price does not justify the spread that was offered. My biggest complaint is that there were extremely small plastic bowls rather than steel bowls. Plastic bowls were so small that I can't fit anything. And the currys were watery enough that I couldn't pour them directly on the plate. Rice were drenched in oil. Only 1 naan is included in the buffet. It was pretty apparent that costs were being cut. The price for the buffet was still the same as other places which don't cut corners like above. Lastly, the waiting staff was just idling around and didnt bother to remove plates from our tables.

People, please be warned. Yesterday evening, I visited the restaurant to eat and get extras. As a truck driver, I don’t have time to prepare meals or visit different restaurants to get meals for my future trips. Thus, whenever I have the opportunity I try to get meals for at least the following two to three days as it’s a healthier option than the fast food chains on the road. Yesterday, I ordered Lamb biryani and chicken biryani; I didn’t have the time to check the food on the spot to make sure it was fresh or at least edible and left as I was in a hurry. This morning, when I was preparing for the trip, I noticed a foul smell coming from the mini fridge in the truck, and upon opening it, I saw the scent coming from the meals I ordered. Checking the meals, I noticed it was extremely rotten; the rice had become almost like a glue-like substance. The meat was rotting. I had to throw away several plates. Felt scammed. If you are ever visiting or ordering to go, please make sure you are checking the food on the spot; otherwise, they’ll hand leftovers from the previous day/week, and if you don’t notice you'll probably end up in the ER with food poisoning. I would recommend that you never visit this place.

We were seated immediately and offered water in a jug that had some food stuck to it and crumbles of papadum in our menu. We ordered the vegetarian momos, kashmiri kofta and naan. The momos were very disappointing- being a Nepali place we were really excited to taste these but they had some yellow paste inside them and tasted doughy. Also doubt they were made fresh since they were quite lukewarm. The Kashmiri kofta was okay nothing to justify the price. Naan was nice and soft. Half the chicken on the platter was completely undercooked. The briyani was brought to us at the hottest spice level without asking us our preference. They did ask for our spiciness level on the chicken however. Nothing on the menu for children. They did bring more chicken to replace the undercooked. The waiters were nice and kind but not accustomed to guiding newbies like us. The food took a very long time to come out. We left most of our food on the table, took none of it home, and spent $60. My wife added that the restroom needed attention as well. I noticed after the fact that other reviews mentioned the undercooked food too.

Where do I even begin? This place is poorly organized, for sure, and the staff needs to be trained on healthcode violations. They mistakenly took one of our (sizzling, the mixed grill)dishes to another table, and then retrieved it, brought it back to the kitchen for a minute, and brought us the same dish (which by then was not sizzling any longer.) that was at the other guest's table. When we asked if that was the case, the guy tried to insist we still take it and that it was jusr a mistake, until I told him it was a healthcode violation to serve food that has been served to another table, and only then did he take it back. Then the rest of the food was all underseasoned, we had to flag someone down for a water refill while they were yelling across the restaurant and then we had to flag someone down to pay, since all of the employees were in the kitchen. Then, we were standing at the register, I had my card in hand, and the guy tried to speak to the person behind me in line and take care of them, first, despite the fact I was ready and waiting to pay. Mind you, this was with THREE tables in the restaurant. I can only imagine how bad it is when its busy. What a rough experience. Took my family here, and we will not be returning.

I expected good things considering the other reviews, but this is the worst Indian food I've ever had. I ordered on doordash and there was hair in my vegetable samosas. The samosas were also waaaaaay too salty, but at least they were seasoned. However, the curry tasted like straight water and had a pool of oil on top. I couldn't even eat it. I've never had food that tasted like absolutely nothing like this before. I will say it was nice and spicy, but besides that there was nothing else to it. The only saving grace of this place is their Naan. It was very well made and had a nice garlic flavor to it. Probably one of the best naans I've had. Disgusting. Their quality has gone extremely down hill. Don’t waste your time or money here. Very disappointing and overpriced food.

Beware of potential Scam!! A friend and I went to this place. The food’s taste was okay. What shocked us was that the food price vs the amount we paid did not tally. When we confronted the owner, he said they served us menu card with updated prices however we confirmed that the same price was seen in door dash too. Later he said he would Venmo the difference and didn’t do that. We had to file a dispute claim with Visa to resolve this issue. I wouldn’t recommend this dishonest business

Underwhelmed. Thought buffet was too meat heavy and food was hardly warm enough to enjoy. The food didn’t seem freshly prepared. More like rewarmed from the previous day. $25 for the buffet

We had a 4 year old with us and the food was a great hit with her too. We ordered the vegetable momos, paneer tikka masala (0 spice level but full of flavor) and dal makhni. We were really happy with the quality of food. Rahul was really helpful and made us comfortable even though were with kids. We’ll be back there for sure.

This is a go-to spot for my family. They have amazing vegetarian options and everything is always fresh. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. If you order to go, I recommend ordering extra rice just to be safe, depending how you like your rice/sauce ratio.

We’ve been excited to try this place since we moved to Washington in August. Their health inspection rating is posted as “good”. It’s a darker space that could use a deep clean. We were the only ones there when we arrived, there were three pairs when we left. Menu is vast with many of our favorite northern Indian and Himalayan dishes. We went with the butter naan, vegetable biryani (spice level one), and chicken tikka (spice level two). The biryani was spice level 100, much spicier than my tikka, so we could not eat it. Tikka and naan were good. Had to flag down the server to get box/ bill as they never came to check on us after dropping off food. Likely won’t be back.

Been here 3 or 4x . And one of my favorite places to eat. To eat! Good atmosphere, with excellent wait staff who guided me through the menu! Mushroom soup- was recommended to me from 1st time and has been ordered each time sense. I stayed with mushrooms and got the mutter with garlic naan. GOOD! Highly recommended for a solid and flavorful vegan/plant based meal!

I tried out an new restaurant on my latest visit to the Seattle area. The Himalayan Cafe was a good choice. I decided on the Lamb Mango dish. The lamb was tender and the garlic, ginger and mango sauce was tasty, with just the right amount of spice (three out of five) The garlic naan was tasty and was a good "mop" for tasting the sauce. Service was friendly and attentive. I will be back the next time I am in Seattle.

I invited my family of 6 on a Saturday night and spent over $200 on food that was pre-frozen and refried (veggie pakora/chicken momo’s). The food was surprisingly bland from what we had experienced months ago when we frequented this restaurant. Butter chicken, chicken tikka, and fish curry sauce all were missing the salt/spices component to the tomato heavy sauce (no way can that be referred to as a curry). Although it was a Saturday night there were only two other sets of customers and only a few to go order we noticed exit the kitchen. With that being said our first set of orders (cold pakora dishes) hit the table 1 hour and 10 minutes after order. Then the food gradually made its way to the table 30 minutes afterwards. The staff consisted of at least 5 (two chefs in aprons who frequently exited the kitchen to make and drink chai along with three servers).
