This mixology class was incredible! Devin was knowledgeable, funny, helpful, and brought a fantastic energy to the class that put everyone at ease and got us pumped up to participate. Rather than just hand us a recipe to follow, she went into detail about the properties of the ingredients and encouraged us to experiment with concocting our own drinks. Then she offered tailored suggestions to help us hit the notes we were aiming at. The whole experience wildly exceeded my expectations for both learning and fun. I highly recommend trying it for yourself - bring a group or a date if you can! You will have a blast.

This was such a great experience from start to finish. Devin is not only a phenomenal teacher, but she also has the BEST energy. I did not expect a class to be so dramatic and fun! This was a very unique learning experience that I'd recommend to anyone interested in cocktails, but I would also take a class about anything if Devin was teaching it.

My partner attended Devin's class on Saturday, August 10th. The say she was high energy and enthusiastic is an understatement, but in the best way. We learned some how's and why's of basic "mixology". We touched on sensory responses to certain mixers and why/where they're used. We made our own creations ad were able to work on correcting some less then stellar combinations. Despite being with other people it managed to feel personal and engaging. Not at all like any other mixology experience I've had and I'd certainly come back from some more advanced tutelage. Devin knows her stuff, knows how to share it, and makes it fun in the process. As corny as it sounds we both walked away from the class saying "I want to be her friend". Just an awesome and fun experience all the way around!

I 1000% recommend these Mixology classes from Hollow Leg! Devin is a hilariously funny and engaging teacher! You'll learn a lot about making cocktails, all while your sides are hurting from laughter from her hilarious anecdotes. She also provides a booklet afterwards with everything covered in the class (for Mixology 101 at least). I cannot rave about her enough!! She also makes everything from scratch with is also what really impressed me when I got there.

This was my second Mixology class with Hollow Leg. It was as much fun as the first! The sessions were different enough that it's worth doing more than once. Took my family and they loved it, too!

Mixology 101 was great! The class was hilarious, educational, participatory, and delicious all at the same time. Devin is the best and I plan on taking more of her classes. I’m currently attempting to make my own tinctures so I can make more delicious cocktails at home!

Incredible group or couples activity to do in Chicago! Besides Devin being an absolute riot, a great teacher, and a ton of fun, the VERY BEST thing about this class is you come home with actual knowledge on the why and how to experiment with cocktails and improve your own cocktails (rather than just coming home with a new recipe for a basic cocktail that you get from other cocktail classes). All around blast and can’t wait to go back for another round!

Devin provided the most entertaining, informative, and immersive mixology class possible. We loved the energy, and it felt like we got a standup comedy show in addition to mixology knowledge that can be applied to any drink. Devin connected with each individual and ensured that everyone felt more confident in their mixology skills by the end of the class. It was so fun to experiment with all the flavors, and receive tips on tricks on how to improve them. We already want to return for another class.
