Great local joint. We had a party of 8 and got several pies to share. Awesome! The salad was fantastic too! Bonus, BYO. And the dessert!! Thumbs up!

MY favorite meal at favorite place!

I'm visiting from Summerville, SC and had occasion to visit Holy Tomato, I am totally appalled by the treatment we received from the owners husband Tom. He swung the pizza stand around on our table, almost knocking my son in laws drink over, he brought the first pizza out, my daughter and I both said thank you, no acknowledgment from Tom, he brought the second one out no acknowledgement at all, he was really rather rude. He was extremely pleasant to the other 2 tables next to us. We told the server we felt he was rude, she apparently told him. He came out saying you thought I was rude? Being extremely loud, I asked him to please just walk away. This man went off the deep end yelling at us to get out if his restaurant and never come back. It was entirely unprofessional and embarrassing. I will never go back or recommend this restaurant to anyone!

The owner’s husband Tom was so so rude. He was yelling at my table across the whole restaurant. IT WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Tonight was mine and my friends first time at Holy Tomato after hearing nothing but good things for years. It was a wonderful experience! It’s so cute inside we all loved how it was decorated. They food was delicious. We got the Caesar salad which was so tasty, I loved the addition of candied pecans, I’ve never had that on a ceased salad before and it was so yummy. We also got the buffalo pizza and boardwalk pizza both were so good. We talked about having to definitely come back as we were enjoying our food. We tried the brownie parfaits and were not disappointed at all the brownie were chocolatly and fudgey and the whipped cream definitely tasted homemade, so so good. Our server was so nice and everything came out timely. Tom also checked in with us a few times to make sure we were enjoying everything. Definitely a family friendly place and you can see the love the owners have for it. Will 100% be back

This is my first review and i’m using a family members phone. I just want to thank Holy Tomato’s owners and staff for having such an amazing place my daughter and I can go to after a brutal week of work. The owners make us feel like family and the food is always perfect. We love the food, the music, the decor and the staff. i just can’t say enough about your restaurant. It’s my favorite place, my happy place. Thank you for being the whole package! You are the best place around!!!!

Had my first visit to Holy Tomato tonight to celebrate my birthday with a friend. The staff couldn’t have been nicer! The ceasar salad, pizza and sopapilla cheesecake were all top-tier! I can’t wait to go back with my husband for date nite!

This place is a must to add to your South Jersey dining places! The staff is insanely friendly and welcoming (especially Tom). The food is incredible and so fresh! We did half boardwalk and half pickle pizza which was their special! It was SO good! We also had the Caesar salad and I’ve had their house salad before which I always find myself craving! It’s also a BYO which is great! Can’t forget to mention their homemade dessert too. We got the sopapilla cheesecake and it was sooooo yummy! Highly recommend Holy Tomato for dining in or dining out!

Haven't been to Holy Tomato for 10 years. When I was in the area, I knew I had to stop! Everything was just as I remembered. Great service, great atmosphere, and even better food!

Everything about this place is amazing from the food to the outstanding customer service to the decor within the restaurant. First off let me start off by saying that the entire staff is friendly and I can tell they truly love what they’re doing. I ordered a boardwalk pizza and I went home and devoured it in less than 20 minutes. The crust was thin and crispy and the tomato sauce was packed with flavor. The pizza didn’t sit too heavy on my stomach and it wasn’t overly greasy. To me this was the perfect pizza and I can’t wait to go back again. Oh and try the homemade sopapilla cheesecake (didn’t get to take a picture because we ate it too quickly😂). My girlfriend loved it and she’s not a big fan of sweets at all.

I absolutely love Holy Tomato! I get take out almost every week. Their pizza is top notch and their salad will knock you off your feet. (I could drink that balsamic dressing with a straw!) And most importantly, they treat my dog, Reagan, like a king! He loves going with me to pick up my food because he knows he’s going to see his friends! A+ service.

I ordered half original pie with pepperoni half honey buffalo chicken and it came out hot and fresh! Would definitely order from here again! Thank you!

I was absolutely glad to find the " Holy Tomato Pie " and get a table there. It was a great stay withe delicious food, freshly made and reeeeaaal tasty. The salad was......wow......and also the pies. A half vegetarian, half with sausage , really fine, crusty, fesh. Just how I love it. Thank you very much for a great evening !!

When I say I can’t stop thinking about these salads, I’m not kidding!! You must get the house salad. I really loved their homemade raspberry lemonade too. My partner and I go Tuesday’s to take advantage of their specials.

Everything was great . The prices were on the high side . But then again , you pay for what you get .

I got two pizzas one parma plain well done and one parma with pepperoni & mushrooms well done. I had a slice on the way home while the plain pizza was still hot and the flavor was tremendous. I couldn't stop eating another and another at every traffic light on Route 168. I am really not a fan of thin crust pizza but I have had some like Papa's Tomato Pie up in Robbinsville This Parma had a similar flavor kick to it . . . just superb flavor straight out the box without adding any seasoning extra. I like that they use fresh mushrooms too which is a plus. I guess artisan means non traditional cut slices because I was surprised when I opened the box but I guess it distinguishes them from everyone else as you get more slices this way.

I've had pizza at Holy Tomato twice (take-out), and as someone who just moved to the area, I can say that it is going to be our go-to pizza spot from now on. We got the Parma, which is delicious. The crust is thin and crispy, high quality sauce and cheese, and a great amount of garlic. Stands out among the rest of the "same-old" cookie cutter pizza places in town.

The hospitality was overwhelming. Excellent customer service rate it a 10. Above and beyond. The pizza was very good. It has a lot of speciality pies. The Cesar Salad was excellent.

WOW! What a great place to enjoy some of Americas favorites! The wife and I made another visit to this Spectacular Diamond in the Rough. Our starters were their House Salad, which we highly recommend, and their Mexican Street Corn. Absolutely Delicious, with a taste all its own. The salad is so tasty with its home made dressing and the corn is like no other-it’s that good! A Must in Our Book! Then comes the Pizza, we have tried most, no one favorite as they are all uniquely tasteful and different. Last but not least, the deserts, The Cinna-Balls are a sweet lovers dream and the Cappuccino belongs in a Five Star restaurant and I’m not kidding when we say that. And to complement the Awesome food are the very delightful staff and of course The Owners. We can’t say enough nice things about Everyone here and the food they serve. All we can do is tell any and all to put this on your food bucket list-you will be very happy you did so and no need to thank us. Looking forward to our next visit here! 12-29-23. Once again, the food here was Excellent! We had The Boardwalk pizza and tried something new that was a recommendation from a friend-The Pickle Pie-it was unexpectedly Delicious! So many different flavors combined to make one great taste. Highly recommend! Heading back this Friday to eat it again. Don’t forget to try a Salad, we had the House Salad which is always delicious! Can’t go wrong with any of the salads or pizza for that matter. Oh, and by the way, don’t forget the Cappuccino- as I always say it belongs in a 5star restaurant. And the Staff and Owners are always very nice. I’m really amazed how enjoyable all the food is and how comfortable the staff make you feel. Thanks for never disappointing! And it was decorated really nice for the Christmas holiday!

We had to wait a.bit before seeing seated. They have enclosed their back deck and we were instructed to wait there. Out wait was about 20 minutes.

Honestly, it's a very cozy home away from home. Even though I was in a big group, I was greeted like an old friend. Pizza was amazing, ask about the pickle pizza.

Such great pizza! They serve full pizzas, thin crust style. They expanded their store so there is a whole other room for seating too. They have such modern and cool decor throughout the restaurant and on the walls. The service is always great and the food is always on point! Writing this review is making me want to go there now haha The music is so good too!! The owners are so friendly and always making sure every customer is completely satisfied! Would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

Add another fan of this place. One of the best pizzas I've ever had. I cannot do this place justice with any description of how delicious the pizza really is. Just try it. Whomever gave it less than 5 stars is clearly a competitor trying to knock this place down.

Great service, great food and the atmosphere was awesome, the second we walked in the door we were greeted and seated within seconds. Gave us the option to either sit inside or outside on there enclosed heated deck, the food came out quick and was delicious, the owner stoped by our table a few time to introduce himself and make sure everything was going well, (very nice guy) I recommend this place if you have not tried it yet!! Will be back in the future for sure!

This is some of the horrible staff across South Jersey I have come across. Went into to the restaurant at 7:45 for dine in and was refused service even though the restaurant closes at 9 PM. Was not even offered take out and was rudely told they are not serving anyone over a hour before closing. Pathetic customer service

From the minute we walked in felt so very welcome. Pizza was delicious and the holy donut dessert perfect! Out first time here and loved the rooms and decor and the music was great!

It's one of the better pizza places for the area, my only suggestion would be treating pick up order customers a little more friendly, and less a nuisance. I ate inside once and it was great, but the whole COVID protocol to order, and wait outside for the pizza is a little weird. Also, ordering pizza to go no matter how busy it might be inside the restaurant (small, BYOB, and pizza/salad options only) shouldn't take 1.5 hours. I'm sorry, pizza is usually very good, but calling for pick up is always little awkward, and the wait is a little silly. It's a pizza place after all, right? Solid 4.3 overall, service a dine closer to a 5, take out lady, closer to a 2. No thank you, see you soon, just #22 and click.

This is the kind of place you almost don't want to talk about because you're concerned it'll get too busy if word gets out. Best pizza of my life. Friendly staff. They sell pizza, salads, dessert, and amazing berry lemonade. You should definitely stop in if you're in town, but keep it to yourself, y'know?

One of my favorite places! This BYOB has great pizza - thin and crispy with fresh ingredients. The house salad is just amazing. BUT - don't overlook the appetizers!!! They change them often, and they will definitely surprise you. Atmosphere is wonderful. Friendly and inviting. Get there early though! Friday nights have been known to build up an hour + wait! My whole family loves this spot! Try it out - yours will too.

Food is usually good. Service is usually good. Last time I went, pizza was really late coming out, and they used an outrageous amount of garlic. Made it really tough to get through the $25 pizza. Oh well, maybe next time. Still a 5 star joint, with probably my favorite pizza in south jersey. Definitely worth checking out, it’s consistently the best pizza in the area. Update: Holy Tomato offered a free pizza to compensate for the one pizza that wasn’t up to their standards (I got two pizzas for the order that I reviewed here, and the other one was perfect, didn’t have enough space to mention that) What a fantastic move, by a great small business. I appreciate the sentiment, very much, but Holy Tomato has my business moving forward regardless of a bump in the road. Keep up the good work, nothing is perfect. It’s all about the rebound. I appreciate the sentiment, that is more important than a free pizza. You guys have my business for life. 5 star business, 5 star team, 5 star product. Thank you for all you do!

There really is no other pizza that I can compare this to. The crust, sauce, cheese... it all works. Santini, Mario's, Marinos are terrific in each their own way but Holy Tomato is just pizza. That is pretty much all they do and they do it very well.

Better than 5 stars! This is perhaps the best pizza I’ve had outside of Naples! The reason: quality ingredients. We got “the flip.” The tomatoes for the sauce are locally grown and hand crushed. Besides the amazingly flavorful tomatoes, the sauce has a good quality extra virgin olive oil, fresh garlic, and the perfect amount of dried oregano in it. Usually ingredients get lost in the sauce. Not here, the individual flavors can actually be appreciated. The crust was the right amount of crispy and thin. Staff/owners were very friendly. In a state that is known for good pizza, this place really stands out. I will definitely be back from now on every time I visit my family in Jersey!

It is actually criminal for food to be this good. Hats off to the owners for staying consistent across the board since the last time we've had Holy Tomato (during the height of the pandemic). We tried the Honey Buffalo Chicken pizza tonight and I can honestly say it is going to ruin buffalo chicken pizza for me if I get it anywhere else. I honestly could have just had the famous house salad and given 5 stars, the attention to detail is ridiculous. This is a reminder to support your local businesses! Holy Tomato is a gem, please never change. My only regret is that we haven't had a chance to dine in!

As always Holy 🍅 🥧 hit the nail on the head with the delicious Pizza sauce and crispy thin crust. My wife and I called to order our regular pie and the young lady asked if I wanted to hear the specials this weekend and we ordered the Chicken Fajita Pie and it was phenomenal with little pieces of lime,green peppers, cheese and some kind of Drizzle.I hope this Pie stays in the lineup because it was delicious!!! Black Ram will be calling on Tuesday to ask if it will be available for my Friday night pickup lol Keep doing whatever you are doing everyone.The staff at Holy Tomato is always friendly and courteous especially the gentleman in the black chefs coat and hat. I always forget to ask his name because it is always busy at the curbside pickup.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would!! The owners, Tom and Terry, are the nicest people ever. Their food is INCREDIBLE! From the salads to the pizza, everything is so so delicious. My family and I go there all the time and we are obsessed. If you are ever nearby, and looking for amazing food and a homey feel, you have to go to Holy Tomato!

Just LOVE Holy Tomato- excellent salad, pizza, and incredible appetizers. Fun family atmosphere and owners Terri and Tom are extremely ingratiating. It is our go-to night out for excellent pizza that tastes as close as you can get from Italy!

Hate to give a good spot bad reviews but this pizza was just not good. It was cold to start de.f don't recommend pickup. They burned it also so a burned cold pizza. And the overall quality is not what it is..I give it maybe a 3 but a 2 because of it being cold.

This restaurant is amazing! We don't live too far away, and I'm so surprised we've never heard of it before. The man who greeted us (presumably the owner) was so kind and personable, he took the time to learn my husband's name and said it multiple times throughout the night. The service was incredible, the food was paramount, the atmosphere was really cool. It was one of my absolute favorite dining experiences of all time, and I'm excited that we can come back again! While we were there we kept talking about who we could bring next time and when we'd be able to come back. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! You MUST check this place out if you're in the area!

The name says it all, these pies taste like they are straight out of heaven. I've been to some very highly rated pizza places but the pies here stood up to the best of them. The cheesecake blew my mind, absolutely incredible. We will definitely be frequenting this place!

I and my family look so forward to having a meal at Holy Tomato!! The food is absolutely taste-bud pleasing!! And the ambiance is stellar!My teen, who was quite young when we first took her was a tomato hater, but she loves their recipe for the "Original" pie and picks off the tomatoes to eat and LOVES them--still elsewhere and at home, tomatoes are her least-favorved food! The menu has really 1,000 times improved from the first owner from whom the establishment was purchased by Terri and her family! Pizza was all that was served! Terri has added many items--my favorite is the Original recipe pie as well as the "house" salad--not your typical house salad! Desserts were also added--the Key Lime pie is the family favorite, but if chocolate is uour thing--they offer thatvtoo! You just HAVE TO try these selections and more! Terri's decor is so interesting--she is so talented! Your eye doesn't know where to look first! Meet your friends at this BYOB for lunch or dinner in the old Town Square of Blackwood, NJ, or take your immediate family, and your extended family can meet you there! Everyone will be pleased--adults, teens and children--hands down!

Best pizza I’ve had in a long time!

This is a small, funky restaurant filled with eclectic decor, fun atmosphere, delicious pizza selections, salads and homemade Desserts. It's a BYOB. Whether dining in or taking out, everyone is treated like family.

This is the best spot for pizza in the area! We’ve been going there since they opened about 13 years ago and the pizza, salads, apps, and desserts have been consistently outstanding! Bonus is the fabulous family and staff that make every visit a great experience!

Just went toHoly tomato this evening in the pouring rain to get a gift card a to get a piece of there cheese cake . I ran In while my husband parked the car. Asked for a fifty dollar gift card which the gentleman gave me and then my husband came in and we wanted to sit and gave our cheese cake along with a cup of coffee. Now mind you it was 730pm in the pouring rain, The man said that he didn’t want us to take his last table if we were only going to have dessert and coffee. Now we decided to get it to go!! He seemed as though we weren’t spending enough ??? He did give us one of the cheese cakes for free . Sorry but this did not make up for the way we were treated. I thought a customer was supposed to be treated as a guest no matter what. Don’t know if we will ever go back. Very disappointed in this we come to your restaurant quite a lot!!! So sad!!!!!!

So, on a whim, we thought we’d check this little joint out during a visit to the area. Wow! Quite possibly the best pizza I’ve ever had. That said, everything was delicious. And the service was just as good. Highly recommended!

My husband and his uncle and wife went for dinner there on Saturday, 11/12/2022. My husband's uncle and his wife have been going for years and we decided to meet them there to try their "famous pies." We were sorely disappointed. The service was awful. The owner's husband was rude and obnoxious. He treated us quite poorly. I have never experienced such poor customer service at an eating establishment. And frankly, the pizza wasn't great either. None of us will ever return again. Not worth it!

We've been regulars here for over 12 years and every visit until tonight has always been great What changed? The owners husband now works in the front and tonight was our first and last time meeting him. He has zero communication skills on top of a very harsh attitude, and he is clueless about dealing with paying customers. A shame as his wife the owner is a wonderful person who has always warmly welcomed and treated us with respect as we always do her and the staff. Our waitress (whose name I can't remember) was great, I left a $20 tip on a $89 check But our interaction with the owner's husband was very distasteful, rude, and completely the opposite of common curtesy Hense "IF" we do come back and see him when we enter, we will be turning right around to leave and never return.
