I love this little place. Great food and a small mom n pop eatery. Their coffee is roasted on-site. I often ride my motorcycle 70 miles out for breakfast. Nice location near the Delaware River.

A charming place, discovered by chance during a day of travel. A super friendly welcome, a warm setting, delicious and quality products. A break in this place which deserves a real 5⭐!

It's a nice place with a beautiful old country atmosphere. The back patio has a nice view to the canal and if you like to take walks along the canal this is a great place to stop for coffee, eggs or a bagel. The menu is limited but that really fits in well with its simplistic style. If you're the kind that likes a simpler life this place is perfect for you. Have a bagel, sit out back and enjoy the view. Forget your stressfull life.

2nd visit. It's been years. Such a nice location and charming store/ cafe. Had the Lionheart blend and an Ethiopian decaf. Coffee was very good.. Had 2 breakfast sandwiches which were good also. Loved the fact you can buy sample bags to try the coffee you like. Bought a sample bag of the Upper Eddy Darkness a blend of Tanzania and Uganda beans. This blend was terrific as I tried it this morning. They did have a few varieties of drip but wish they had pourovers or French press. I understand they get very busy . Overall a quite unique and excellent experience. And the girls behind the counter were terrific. Friendly and hustling . Great service!

I love this place. The breakfast is delicious and the coffee is amazing. I steadily keep their coffee on deck at my house. I wish I got to stop by more often, but it's always a treat when I do. The staff is friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is cozy. The home fries are seasoned so good. The canal walk out back is always awesome. One of my faves!

Local deli/coffee shop in a unique location and atmosphere. Nice place for a cozy lunch on a bad weather day or a nice stop in the outdoor seating. There is no table service but the counter staff is friendly.

Been going here since I was about 13 and I love this store. The food, desserts, bake goods, jerky I can go on and on. Everything here is amazing and the fact that it is homemade just makes it that much better. The staff is always nice. The atmosphere is always beautiful and surreal. If you have not eaten here it's a must, especially if you're gonna go tubing then stop here grab a bunch of goodies and have a great time. We always do!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Step back into Canal history at Homestead Coffee Roasters and the General Store. Dates back to the mid-1800s. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and owners and, best of all, some of the best sandwiches my wife and I have had. Nice location right on the Delaware canal in a small Upper Bucks town. One block off of River Road. Worth a very short detour you won't regret.

Always a wonderful day trip for my partner and I. She and I like to stop there for a nice lunch before hitting Milford across the river for some shopping. Incredible sandwiches and baked goods. Also, there are some quirky little local gift items in the shop. Oh, and the coffee!

Great stop on a cycle rise for a coffee or sandwich

My wife and I have been coming here almost every weekend for breakfast and coffee of the past 3 years. But today was out last visit. We walk in as usual and go to the counter to place our order, the older lady looked at us and said "I'll be right with you" and proceeded to start making another customers order, we stood there for a good 5 minutes without her even acknowledging us again, the other lady at the register was busy ringing customers up and also said "I'll help you in a minute" then rung up another customer and walked away. I guess that I was our cue to leave. This is the 3rd time this happened to us (and a friend of ours also). If they don't want our business then we will go elsewhere. Going to miss the coffee though.

Great flavors, toasteds, freshly coffee. They know about make coffee. Great for visiting with family and friends. Great landscaping views, when you are going to or back, you can buy fresh organics products from farmers. Great owner family business. Congratulations for keeping this alive. Close to Phillipsburg Town. A place to know and enjoy coffe.

Really disappointed about the lack of vegan options :( I came for breakfast but there was nothing on the menu I could eat. Providing options for dietary restrictions would be so appreciated.

Absolutely best place to eat breakfast, I don't mind traveling 45 minutes for great cup of organic coffee and homage baked oatmeal. Atmosphere was great. Staff is also very attentative.

The pastry is really good. The service is a little slow. The latte and a cappuccino tends to be a little hotter than it should be. But overall it's really good. A good stop on a bike ride in the morning.

AKA the General Store. OMG what a beautiful place to sit and have breakfast/snacks/coffee. The backyard patio overlooking the well what used to be a canal is so serene with the flowers and tables with the umbrellas. I want to go back.

I've been wanting to stop in here for quite a while. It was smaller than I imagined and prices were way more expensive than I thought.. It is quaint and workers are very nice but as for me it's a once and done deal.

How I wish my own town had a cozy cafe like this! Welcoming and friendly staff (and customers! - we had a few locals stop just to chat with us), delicious food, and very reasonably priced. My husband and I ordered their breakfast platter, and French toast - all fresh and tasty. I also loved the little free library they had out front near the parking lot. I found a book that was perfect for my afternoon by the pool. Please don’t change a thing! We’ll be back for another visit.

Everytime I travel to upper black eddy to visit my daughter. I stop at the General Store for sandwiches, the atmosphere and people are very friendly, food is good, I recommend going here...

Highly recommend. The nitro cold brew was perfect. The employees were very polite and asked if I wanted some room for milk and what not. I also recommend the pastries. I had a cinnamon roll and it was really good. Perfect spot for a lunch as there are plenty of sandwich options. There is a retail section also, great local spot and will be back! So many coffees to choose from.

Great coffee. Hands down some of the best coffee in the area. Go in the spring or fall and walk the canal trail with a nice cup of coffee. Also they are dog friendly.

We got a distance to get our roasted coffee beans here. Small town friendliness and charm. Well worth stopping for a cup of joe, breakfast, or s sandwhich. Some great local canned foods.

If you like a great cup of coffee, you need to try Homestead! Just the smell of the fresh ground as you walk inside the door is awesome.

The coffee varieties are phenomenal and skillfully roasted! Love going to try a new one in the cafe. The nitro cold brew is delicious and smooth. The cafe has delicious food. It's a small menu but great for breakfast and lunch. I've never been disappointed by their food. Well made homemade soups and hearty sandwiches. Good place to stop along the canal trail and refuel when biking. Plentiful seating indoor and out to enjoy.

This place has a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. There is plenty of parking. A great place to go on a nice day, where you can choose to sit inside or out. I brought my dog and he was welcome to join us at our table outside. There were even water dishes put out. I feel this is a very nice place to take your dog and walk along the canal before or after a meal. The coffee was very good but my chicken salad wrap was unbelievably delicious. It was obviously fresh, and made on the premises. I will definitely go back.
