My wife's favorite Chinese food in Roswell.

I've been eating egg foo young my entire life.. never have I received what basically was a huge egg pancake.. with a big container of what seemed like vegetable soup... That's not egg foo young that I've ever seen or had... I'll never be back.. UPDATE... response from the owner/manager is laughable...as I'm 65 years old and have NEVER seen or had egg foo young..that was one huge pancake with a container of vegetable soup...the vegetables are supposed to be IN the egg foo young..NOT in a container of soup... I've had diarrhea and my stomach has been hurting since I ate the egg foo young from there... slight case of food poisoning perhaps...or maybe the sanitary practices are non-existent..🤷... Anyway... save yourselves and DON'T eat from there... EVER...

The food was excellent, and the service was great. I will highly recommend it.

Everything I've had has been absolutely delicious. I've started trying things off the menu that I've never had before because everything is always so great. Cannot recommend enough. They are also always so kind and helpful.

I only comment on places with good food. Can't beat very large portions of tasty food prepared fast! It was a very quaint, clean little diner with a Chinese twist. Wait staff were super friendly, patient, and explained what each dish was. I got a "to go" order, so photos don't do it justice. They lined the container with foil & tightly wrapped each to-go box with plastic wrap, so food stayed hot, no leaks, no containers busted open in transit, & it reinforce the to-go box so none broke. Good thing, too, because the boxes were stuffed FULL! I ordered Hunan Chicken dinner, Mixed Vegetable dinner, and Chicken with Black Bean Sauce dinner. Each came with chow mein, rice, and cream cheese puffs. Highly recommend it if you are craving Chinese food!

Some of the best Chinese I had. Got the lunch special and was surprised with very tasty food. Prices were fair and the food quality was excellent. Looking forward to give my business again.

Food was different than normal but still good. I normally get white rice but received fried rice.

Ordered the happy family dinner for 3 people. It was way more food than I would expect for the price. The food also came out faster than expected and tasted pretty good. I was disappointed I didn't have the capacity to eat more. The food is adjusted for American palates.

we were passing by and was craving for some Chinese food. it's the only one popped up in Google and went ahead. ordered general tso's and was ok. the lady in there was sweet and gave good service!

It was take-out so atmosphere didn't matter. The food was ready right on time. And it was well packaged so it was hot when we got back to our hotel. Both the Mu Shu Pork and Chicken with Vegetables were delicious and generous portions. Definitely a good value for a good meal.

They guys are awesome and friendly and take care of you. When dining in or taking your food out.

The restaurant itself doesn't look like much. Looks a bit dated from the outside and inside. The food is definitely a few steps above average. The server was fantastic, the menus were fun, and the portions were HUGE. Cheaper than any fast food restaurant. Nice no rush atmosphere to enjoy a great filling dinner.

Food and service were both good, and prices very reasonable. It was much better than the food at the Chinese buffet in town.

Good food. Pretty sure I was over charged, $41 for 2 dinners. Asked the cashier for a receipt and she gave me one without the cost of the items.

Friendly service. Greeted warmly upon entering, served quickly with tasty, freshly prepared food. We had Mongolian Beef and Sesame Chicken lunch specials. Definitely worth a visit.

Hunan is the best Chinese Restaurant within 100 miles of Roswell. Don’t let the old dated restaurant look deceive you, the food and service are incredible. Kathy is so kind and joyful. She always serves with a big smile, her kindness is so welcoming, warm and contagious. The food is always fresh and it doesn’t take forever to cook which is great. The Beef Broccoli, Chicken Foils, Orange Chicken, Egg Rolls, Cream Cheese Puffs and Chow Mein are phenomenal. These dishes are perfected, so full of flavor and they taste home cooked. The “Beef on a Stick” is an especially enjoyable dish and experience, as they bring it out in a mini fire grill and you can sizzle cook it and eat it in front of you. It’s a really fun appetizer to enjoy with family and friends. They charge very fairly for their dishes. Most dishes are less than $10 and they have large portion sizes, you definitely get what you pay for, if not more. They also have beautiful art on the walls.

THE BEST CHINESE FOOD IN ROSEWELL!!! Hunan is run by the looks of a Very nice restaurant owner Kathy and her husband I believe. My Girl and I have gone there everytime we’ve stopped in Roswell. I believe there are two other Chinese restaurants in the city but nothing compares to this one food wise. Kathy was very sweet and nice to us. You could tell that she has poured her soul into this restaurant. The food is very affordable. In my opinion I mean I can get full with one plate there at half the cost then I could say eating at Buffalo Wild Wings lol. The outside of the restaurant doesn’t really look like it has traction and I’ve noticed because a lot of people order at their drive-through. The inside is nice and cozy, as well as quiet with the sound of the grill always at work. A very peaceful environment to eat in. The food, however on the greater side is probably the best Chinese food I’ve had in a very long time. for me personally it brought back a very nostalgic, feeling that not a lot of things in life can pull off. From the beef broccoli to the chow mein it all tastes perfect. When it comes to appetizers, I highly recommend you try the beef on a stick. They bring it out on a cool mini grill that’s on fire. “ not recommended for your children to use lol” The restaurant definitely is a five star go to family place for this state. You won’t be disappointed. Check out the good food. Ps- not a lot of Chinese restaurants serve chicken foils anymore so this rarity makes it all the more worth it.

Absolute worst asian take out we’ve ever had! 57 dollars and we threw most of it in the trash. Ordered hunan beef, sweet & sour pork, egg rolls, and pot stickers. Every bit of it was horrible, sadly.

Don't get me wrong, the lady waiting tables and the kitchen staff are great people. The food is simply lacking in quality. The place also needs some improvement. It wasn't how the food was cooked that was the problem, it's the quality of the ingredients that needs improvement, in my opinion. For the price, the food should have tasted top notch, and it didn't.

Very disappointing food. The only decent meal was the broccoli beef. Couldn't even eat the chicken dishes. The fried rice was overdone. The egg rolls tasted awful. And the price for 4 people was over $100. Waste of money as we threw most of it out.

I’m writing this review for my Mom, who lives in Roswell and ate here recently. She enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken and egg drop soup. Customer service was great, and the owner is attentive and “very sweet.” The dining area is clean and tidy.

The staff is so friendly and the food is amazing

Place is a bit run down, but staff were attentive and friendly. I had the Singapore noodles w pork and felt they were overdone. Maybe it's not a dish they do well. There was gristle in the meat and my pot stickers were slightly burnt on one side.

Service was good. The sweet and sour pork was a little tough. Not sure if I'd go back.

Ordered schezwan shrimp, got some deconstructed mess. A box of prefrozen breaded shrimp, which is not an ingredient of schezwan shrimp, and a bowel of tepid sauce. Nice people, bit I'm not sure they've ever even seen schezwan shrimp. Hint, it's not the same thing as sweet and sour shrimp.

Staff is always amazing and the lunch portions are huge!

Fantastic hometown eatery. The angel hair pasta is my favorite here but all of the dishes are great. Take some time to get off the beaten path in Roswell and check out Hunan Chinese.

Food is good & price is avg in town

Best Chinese food in Roswell, New Mexcio. The staff is great and very knowledgeable of the food. I love the wonton soup, the wonton soup with chicken and shrimp. My favorite dishes here are Mongolian beef, beef and broccoli and sesame chicken with steamed rice and cheese puff.

Authentic Chinese food, has my favorite soup (Sizzling Rice) and it was spot on. I would go back and recommend highly next time in Roswell, NM.

Food and service was excellent.

Was told it would take 10 mins to come out at the drive-thru but it was faster, actually. It was the hottest and freshest take-out I've had in years. All was very good and well-priced, plus the sweet lady at the drive-thru was so kind and helpful. Will come back when in Roswell again!

First time here and it wasn't bad at all. Service was wonderful. Food was hit and miss. Spicy Waltons weren't Spicy and was cooked in a sweet chili sauce that just didn't go with it. And being a Chinese restaurant, I'm used to having chili oil at the table or available upon request. Nope, none in site. I will give props to to waitress that tried to make us some chili oil on her own. Not quite what I was looking for but she did make the effort. The Egg Foo young was different, but still very tasty. My wife's noodle soup was good but could use a little more flavor. All shortcoming can easily be remedied. I will be back though. Very affordable for the amount of food we received.

AMAZING, FRESH food.. My husband and I love this place.. they have a large variety of dishes and really great soup. The food was hot and fresh,, everything was prepared well and large portions. Very decent prices.. only reason for 4 stars is An older building and simple tables kinda outdated, totally worth it. We will definitely eat here often.

It’s one of those hole in the wall places. If you’re looking for ambiance, keep driving. If you’re looking for good food pull in. Had the beef pepper steak, beef was cooked well, and had a really good taste. The vegetables were crispy and fresh. Will definitely go back.

Its always hard for me to find a place with good mei fun -soft rice noodle- especially Singapore style, and Hunan has some of the best. My wife got the spicy orange chicken and was very pleased. Highly recommended if you want as real as Asian food can get this far inland. Very very friendly service.

Kung Pao Chicken (or Shrimp) is spicy - they way it should be. Fried Rice and an eggroll completes the meal. Always good!

This is my go-to really great food

Usually really good food but I ordered to go (lemon chicken) and the sauce had leaked out the bottom, the chicken was dry, the eggrolls and cheese puffs had an odd flavor like the oil used needed to be replaced, but the Thai tea and their fried rice is delicious. Disappointed with the quality this time but as always the serving size was worth the price.

I'm just a truck driver and happen to be picking up a load in Roswell. Since my load wasn't ready I looked up some local restaurants and this one had great reviews. Now I know why. My orange chicken and fried rice was delicious and their customer service was excellent! Very nice people and I highly recommend it 😋

Arrived to Roswell via RV and in no mood to cook. Rv resort recommendations was Hunan... WOW this has to be the BEST AWE HAVE EVER HAD. We ordered orange chicken (0 spice level) and beef broccoli and 2 Egg rills . the beef was tender and the chicken Litely battered. Asked for hot mustard, to my surprise they make there own YUM YUM. Oh and they delivered We will order from here again when not in mood to cook.
