Small place with a few items on the menu but the service and food were excellent. Very decent portions that are very filling. The beef shawarma on rice was delicious with all the toppings and sides. Falafel salad was good too. They alternate days for beef and chicken shawarma so we didn’t get to try the chicken. Guess we will have to come back another time. The staff were very friendly and checked to see if we were happy with our orders and needed anything else.

Great authentic middle eastern cuisine. Very friendly atmosphere. Don’t forget to ask for a coffee with cardamon!

I have eaten here a handful of times now - customer service is always on point. Everyone is very upbeat and helpful. The wait was about 10 minutes and they give you tea while you wait. The chicken and beef shawarma are always great. The garlic sauce is VERY strong - heads up. Delicious plates - highly recommend if you’re in town. There are even really good milk chocolates at the register. Small inside - about 4 tables for seating and a few chairs for the counter. Cozy space.

Everything was perfect! The chicken shawarma was excellent quality and the wrap was tight. I regret turning down the tea, but I respect everyone in the establishment. Shoutout to Marissa in the back. Will be coming back on Friday!

This is a charming hidden Gem located at the heart of Fairfield IA. The owners are warm and receptive . The food is incredible and the atmosphere is cozy.

In from out of town and I am so impressed by the food here. I got the falafel on a pita and it was messy but sooo good. And my friend got beef on rice and the beef was perfectly cooked and honestly the best beef I’ve tasted in a long time. I’m not the biggest fan of meat unless it’s genuinely good and this was genuinely very good. Highly recommend and I will definitely be back next time I’m in town.

I cannot say enough about how delicious this place is every time I go there I end up with an empty wallet! Staff is absolutely a delight and I will definitely be going back as soon as possible and as much as possible for a very long time!

One of the few places in Fairfield that is consistently delicious and fresh - where you can say "that was good" every time. Hungry Camel is one of our new staples here in Fairfield. We usually order 2 falafel appetizers + 2 chicken shawarma rice plates for two ppl. 🤌 Give them your money! We need to keep the good ones around - everyone knows it's slim pickins' here.

I'm about a million years old and I've eaten about as many falafel sandwiches and Hungry Camel makes THE best I've ever had. Each one is 2 meals for me. Super nice folks too.
