Needs updating food was good service needs to be worked on

20 minutes late on pizza and the young girl taking my card was complaining about how tired she was. Very unprofessional atmosphere. It doesn’t have to be ghetto

Ordering a pizza over the phone and then walking in at the time I was told, just to find out they never entered it into the computer.....luckily I wasn't in a hurry, and the pizza was fresh. Where I'm from when you make a mistake like that, the food is free of charge

The people who work at the Bartow restaurant were very nasty and my pizza never arrived and when I called to ask why they hung up on me twice and I asked for the manager the last time to ask for my money back, she stated she was very busy and would get to it when she can. The delivery guy sttd he knocked and noone was home but my curtains were open and lights on and people in the front of the house waiting on the pizza. Ever heard of ringing the door bell? I will never go to the Bartow one again

The final straw happened last night. The workers were so busy playing they charged me for the wrong order.I went inside and complained. I had to insist on talking to the manager. The manager seemed like he didn't care. Finally got it straight aftermuchpersistence. Then last night me and my friend spent the night throwing up. We will not go back. I think you need a new manager to baby sit the workers, who are too busy playing around.

We tried again because we love hungry howies.. but Bartow was the WORST customer service ever.i called to check on it 1 hour in and she said the driver just picked it up (with a an hour delivery time at most) . Food

Omfg. The door has to be rammed to open sign on door says so. Dirty looking. Slow service and we called ahead. Didn't get order correct. Place needs painted and washed inside and out. Put some money into the place gross 🤢

While waiting for food which was already 20 minutes late. Watched employees jerk around drink soda and walk around outside and smoke. Sad , this is what the work force is. And they want a tip? Your kidding??? I bet they are missing so much business. Owner needs to incentivize them or something. App says order is ready. But still waiting. Actuallly thought the food on table was just left. Was actually employees that can out and took a bite. While she waited on customers and went back and continued fixing food. Then to beat it all. Get home and our order was wrong and pizza over cooked.

Great service from a younger guy working drive-thru!! No complaints for the restaurant except their drive-thru, I actually passed it and had to go back around the building because the window is so small and nothing to really indicate it's a drive-thru window lol maybe a remodel of the store soon?? Just a thought 😊

This place has something against properly cooked pizza and cajun. Ordered 2 medium pizzas with extra cajun crust and 2 cajun breads. The cajun breads are basically just bread. No cajun can be seen. And one pizza has none at all, while one has just light sprinkles. Dont think I've ever got a good cajun anything from them, and their pizzas are NEVER cooked through. They have the audacity to ask for tip online and in person. Heres a tip, learn how to cook your own menu.

seriously what is wrong with this place it should be out of business it took me 2 hours to get my pizza delivered and when it was delivered quickly after eating it i got very sick and now have food poisoning someone needs to report this place to get it shut down i will never shop here again i should be getting a refund AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I ordered online and when I went to pick up my order the young girl at the counter had her back towards the door on her phone and the young boy that handed me my pizza acted like it was a bother for him to get my pizza... Neither one of the them literally said absolutely nothing at all...No hello, can I can help you? Or are you here to order or pick up , have a good evening..

Ordered on the app, 28.99 family meal deal, 2 large pizzas, large cajun bread & a 2 liter. I was there early and I still waited only 10 minutes max for it all to be done and served hot and fresh! Extra Garlic butter crust, extra pizza sauce, mozzarella, etc etc.

Good pizza, fast service, but the place visited is in very bad condition.

I live off of the same street as this pizzeria, they always do me right.

I ordered a pizza and had to call OVER 3 times and it took OVER an hour and a half and I live 5 minutes away and after calling and asking if I could come pick it up I was told it was in transit. But then called again and was told the driver just left ten minutes ago. I’d like a refund please!!

When placing our order it said 45 minutes for delivery, after an hour I called and they said it was out for delivery. We called back 30 minutes later and the “Manager” said whoever we spoke to didn’t say that. Finally 30 minutes after that call the delivery guy showed up and didn’t even speak to me. This is ridiculous and we will never order from here again.

Wish we could get delivery service now

Ordered pizza was told 45 minutes after 3 calls saying it was on the way. We drove down to the store and was told it was delivered. It was not. 10 minutes later driver showed up at door. He said he didn't have a gate but there was a number on receipt he could of called and our name is on the gate call box. Unbelievable awful service everytime. This is why we won't go here again. I would of given no stars if I could. Awful.

The lack of customer service and accountability is disgusting. Management is trash and fails to resolve customer concerns. Managers are condescending and very combative. If I’m telling you there is no sauce on my pizza your response should not be it’s there you just can’t see it! Really Lady find you someone to play with.

Placed my order of just a large meat lover pizza over the phone for pickup.a At 830p the man over the phone was clearly high or drunk with how he responded really slow and I could barely hear him. When I got to the restaurant at 850p the man at who answer the phone is the same man I same when I arrived at the restaurant. He could barely stand is was clearly on something he could walk straight he came to the drive thru window and asked me my order I told him and he said ok 2 more minutes… He proceeded to close the window and weep the floor instead of check on my food.. He then answers the phone but could barely stand so he lean over the counter while taking another order. Several minutes had past bc now it’s 905p so I’m at the window still waiting so I get his attention to get napkins and he could barely open his eyes or walk straight he then asked hey what’s your order again he couldn’t even remember the order I had just asked for..So finally he walks away to the back and come to the window with the pizza.. I get home the pizza is not even cut!!! I definitely deserve a refund

Not friendly at all when trying to order for delivery. He hung up on me twice and then when I finally got him to understand what I wanted on my pizza, when I received it I was over charged for things I didn't want and missing things I did ask for. Unfortunately I called back and he was not willing to correct the mistake. After years of loyalty to this place I had to switch over to Marco's Pizza.

BARTOW IS ONE OF THE BETTER Hungry Howies in Lakeland and surrounding areas...The BEST ONE IS IN PLANT CITY!! THEY HAVE THE BEST food customer service, AND THEY HAVE ALL YOU CAN EAT BAR! Owners are great 👍 👌 😀

Have not been to the location in a while but I tell you what! We ordered 2 stuffed crust pizzas and they were perfect and tasted amazing. The salad I got was also so nice looking and was great. Will definitely be coming here from now on

Delivery is extremely slow. It's almost always 1 to 1.5 hours to get a pizza no matter the time or day. The can't be that busy. If I do carryout, I see the staff hanging outside in the back smoking and talking. If they are on their break that's one thing but 2, 3, 4 ppl standing around doing nothing is probably why it takes so long to deliver. When I go there I don't seen many orders on the rack and there aren't ppl sitting in or at the drive thru. They can't be that busy. Every other pizza place in town delivers within 30 mins or less. Every other Howie's I've been to doesn't take as long as the Bartow location. Need's new management/employees.

Don't order food from the Bartow Howie's on the weekends. On the weekends the dough tastes horrible

What a dump. Staff needs to clean up as well. Maybe a clean shirt and wash your hair. I won't be back. Pizza wasn't even cooked all the way and after seeing the condition of store and staff...I'm surprised my family wasn't sick!

I ask for half-light Cheese and half Regular cheese on a Meat Lover Medium Pizza. I was told that I can only get it all Regular or all Light Cheese. But then they will put Very Light Meat on the Pizza. Imagine a Piece of Cardboard with Sauce and Cheese and your Meat that is what it tasted like

Wish I could give these people a 1/4 star on this review cause they messing up people's order and then wanna be acting like your begging them a pizza or something and when I asked for my refund they gonna tell me they're not refunding nothing and they gonna make what they want... worst hungry hungry howies in the franchise and I can say that without regret or hesitation will never let me say it again NEVER order nothing from this place ever again!!

Very very disappointed I called and order they said 15-20 min I gave my name I send my husband to pick it up they say there is no order in the the system under my name so he reorders the pizza and waits another 15-20 mins gets home and the order is wrong smh I go back the lady then says I made this order for you earlier and then said I can give you the other pizza just bring 2 back I said I just want to pay and go at this point give me the 2 from my earlier order well it would take 7 min because I don't know what happened to that or you have to be kidding me I just left. I'm still stuck on the fact that she told me to bring two pizzas back from my home and that she didn't know where my previous order was but remember it's making it.

Nothing more aggravating than ordering a well done pizza and receiving a floppy pizza that I have to bake in my own oven. Uh, guys...well done means the crust is crispy. Remind me, who likes wilting pizza? Not me. Yuck 🤢

If I could give no star I would on multiple occasions I called my order in and BRENDA the manager was always rude once I arrived she is saying the machine for Apple Pay is down no you just don’t know how to work it and recently went through the drive thru and she told me in order for me to use Apple Pay because the machine is far on the other end of the counter to come inside I’m on a lunch break and ONCE AGAIN BRENDA WAS RUDE I don’t know what’s going lately but I’ll refuse to ever order there while BRENDA IS IN MANAGEMENT I even called and she was there and her EMPLOYEE LIED AND HE SAID SHE WONT BE IN TILL 4PM! Hungry howies do better and get a NEW MANAGER !

Love when prices and customer service seem to go hand and hand. Cash and debit accepted...Not to mention fast delivery. With logos that let you know when they are there. Would def reccoend not only for a quick pick up but even more for a. Fast delivery

The Food is always great at this Hungry Howies and some of the employees are great.

Ordered online. Said 25 mins for pick up. Took over 1 hour 20 mins. And I order at 5:24pm, so not exactly prime time. I kept being reassured it was "next up" as I watched person after person walk out with orders. 6 team members on duty so not understaffed. Ridiculous. And...black mold on ceiling tiles. Nasty.

One of the best customer service experience coming into a hungry Howies. from the cashier to the manager to the cook. They made my day! Not to mention the cheese bread was amazing. 😋

The sauce was too acidic and gave me "issues". Next time I'll have to see if there is a "white pizza" option.

Best tasting, best priced, large pepperoni pizza in town on special for 7.99. What a deal! Also got two salads ( antipasto - no cheese and greek- all the cheese ), they were perfectly portioned with fresh toppings. They FILL the bowl and wrap it with plastic ware, crackers and dressing. Nice to have low-fat dressing option too! Staff was friendly. Food was ready on time. I added drinks at the window with no problem. It was worth the $30.00 plus tip. Speaking of tips, please tip your service industry workers ... dine in and take out servers, delivery drivers, bartenders etc. If your out spending money on a service, you should take care of those who take care of you. : )

Wait time said 45 mins , my order got here 2 hrs later even after 2 calls to the store . They forgot about my order and gave me a hard time over the phone . Poor customer service , will not order here again.

Recently moved to the area and ordered pizza from here. The older lady on the front register is very rude. She looks at you like you’re bothering her. There’s no hello, smile or a simple how may I help you. I called to check if my pizza was ready and she told me it was ready 20 minutes ago and it’s just sitting there. I was shocked. I decided to give them another try two weeks later and she was rude again. It seems like she doesn’t like her job. Now I rather drive to Eagle Lake or Winter Haven to get pizza just so we don’t have to deal with rude employees.

I’m here visiting and decided to treat my grandkids to pizza but I feel as though since I’m not in the best neighborhood that my food wasn’t created equally!! I spent almost $35 on pizza and it looked as if it sat for awhile before being delivered. I called and complained was told it would be remade and to give driver the pizza that we didn’t eat no one showed up it’s been over 3 hours!!! No matter what zip code I’m in i pay just like everyone else and deserve to be a satisfied customer!! I will be taking this matter up with the corporate office. Thanks for being loyal to your customers on the other side of the tracks

We're still laughing but it really isn't funny . We ordered a 1 pepperoni and sausage pizza . That's exactly what we recieved a sausage pizza with 1 pepperoni stuck on it.The upper left had 1 little thin round of pepperoni . Don't order thin crust unless you like crackers . That's how thin and crispy it is ..

Great pizza, order in person or over the phone because the website tried charging 22 bucks for the same pizza and toppings I got for 13 in store. Workers were really friendly and nice.

Don’t do it. We went to pick up a pizza for our grandmother who just turned 90 and wanted pizza for her birthday. She sent us with her card and they wouldn’t even let us pick it up. Absolutely insane for a $18 order. Lol. We have always used this location and they should know us but definitely won’t be back.

This pizza, was some of the best pizza we ever had. Stuffed Crust (with butter and parmesan) pepperoni pizza and another pepperoni, onions & pepper pizza. Very, very good!!

I live in Mulberry and I come all the way to the Bartow location to get my Hungry Howie's pizza because they are consistent with making their pizzas with care and not slopped together like some others. Keep up the good job and thank you!

Pizza is pretty good. Delivery on the other hand may take 1-2 hours. If you're wanting pizza and you usually eat dinner about 5-6 pm you must order dinner at 3 pm. Insane.

The best one around. The one in my town is horrible. So make the drive to next town over. Well worth the drive. Food comes out just like pictured.

IF you forgot something or want to change it just give us a holler we'll be happy to try && fix it before it's completed to ensure your satisfaction!** 1) YES the default delivery time typically ranges from 45 - 1 hour. Even if you live 2 seconds away from us yes its still that time frame unfortunately. Furthermore, YES we have been known to have delivery times of up to two hours. We can't predict our level of busy-ness throughout the night. Depending on the time of night determines how many drivers we have as well. We do service Bartow; Connersville; some Alturas; Highlands City; && some parts of Lakeland! 2) Soggy pizzas. Okay this issue has a couple possible contributing factors.. IF you order any crusts with butter the box could become soggy. ESPECIALLY if you ask for extra butter cheese or butter garlic! Should you want extra of butter cheese specify light butter extra parm🖤 Also, the longer it sits the soggier it'll get unfortunately due to no fault of our own. 3)Someone mentioned burned pizza.. unfortunately our oven is temperamental as sin. Some pizzas get cooked perfectly others, welp come out either too light (still completely cooked) or too dark but I PROMISE not a single employee intentionally burns the food! 4) Forgotten food/orders. Firstly, it's not intentional I PROMISE! We aim to keep customers happy && we strive to provide excellent customer service but even we're human && forget things🤦🏻‍♀️ 5)Contact less delivery: This ones new. Not every driver is perfect && we strive to respect our customers wishes.. we'll do better at reading delivery notes!
