Its a trap, I came in for a hunkar mix grill, and it says on Google menu $31, so when the bill came, they charged me $49, and when I asked why? they said they have a new owner. ( They should have changed the price then ). Please look at the photo attached.

The appetizers and especially the cheese were very delicious. We came for fish dinner with my wife and the sea bass was really perfectly cooked and delicious. The employees were very friendly and attentive. The owner is a great guy. also the view 💯!!!!

A friend of mine and another couple who live in the area invited us for dinner at this Turkish restaurant one Friday evening several weeks ago and I was deeply impressed. First of all, I must admit my wife is from Turkey (now called Turkiye) so I am accustomed to Turkish cuisine. She is often picky about embracing Turkish cuisine in America but this restaurant was a rare exception. The decor of the restaurant walking in had a distinct Ottoman feel to it as the walls were adorned with pictures of Istanbul and the various Ottoman palaces creating a distinct Turkish feel and was quite welcoming . After walking in I started to move to a table to sit down in the front of the restaurant which for a Friday night did not seem that busy. I thought this was odd assuming if the food was good why isn''t it busy. My friend told me, no wait, but asked me to accompany them further to the back through another part of the restaurant to a room in the back. Well, lo and behold before me there was a private dimly lit room in the back and it had a stunning view of NYC. To see the skyline of NYC without being in the Big Apple to me was incredible. Seeing the skyline while you eat made it one enchanting evening just by itself. The hostess greeted us and the food and service were first-rate from beginning to end. We were with another couple originally from Turkiye who live in the area and they also raved about the food. The Turkish cuisine was excellent and the low amount of noise in the room made it perfect for dining and quiet conversation. We loved the environment so much that we stayed way past closing and the owner, who is originally from Turkiye, never bothered us to leave and let us keep talking way past our desert until we noticed it was almost midnight. The food, view, and atmosphere were first rate and my wife who is Turkish, gave Hunkar a big thumbs up!

Great place. I have been dining here for over 10 years and each time I enjoy the dishes I like the best. Highly recommend my favorite, the Okra.

First time been there. I can say kind people, good atmosphere, however, food quality was below our expectation, especially something was terrible wrong with Turkish burger (köfte) as a test, couldn't even get a bite. I do not think I could ever convince my wife to go there again.

The food was alright. The Adana kebab was juicy and delicious and tell the appetizers as well but the beef shesh wasn’t cooked good and the seasoning wasn’t the best. The view and the atmosphere were the best.

First of all this restaurant has an amazing atmosphere. The decor is amazing, especially the view!! Not only that the food here is amazing. I wished I could have shown you pictures but they looked so delicious I dug right in. I especially recommend the hunkar mixed grill. I always get it with a different sides. 10/10 I will definitely come back.

Excellent Turkish food. I had Adana Kebab with rice and salad. The Adana was grilled to perfection. The owner Abbas welcomed me in person and offered Turkish tea. Also, the atmosphere is great as the back room has an amazing view of the Manhattan skyline.

My go to place for turkish food is this territory. Pretty place with decent food like homecooked and spectacular NYC view. The owner is so nice. They always offer nice turkish tea.

Place is nice the waitress very nice but the owner very nasty and bad service food was good until I found an ant in my plate and asked the owner to change it and she brought me the same food in a different plate! She came to our table very rudely saying she’s not responsible for changing our plate

This place is amazing everything we tried was delicious and honestly as good as a deal as the lunch special is, just get the full size plates it's just that good. The lamb skewer was delicious and the babaganoush was literally the best i have ever had in the states.

Hidden gem found in Carlstadt. We had lamb shank and filet mignon kebab. Both were excellent. Order some apps too, all very authentic. Hankur isn't restaurant quality, it's your grandmother cooked a spread for all her grans quality, that home cooked, comfort food quality. We'll be back for sure.

I was there like 3 days ago, best restaurant with the best view to Manhattan from NJ. Especially at night, the view is amazing and romantic. Turkish food is always in my heart. Very friendly workers. Thank you!
