Many options in a cool atmosphere restaurant.

I spent $300 tonight and 5 of the 7 top asked for medium rare. He cooked the medium before the medium rare. By the time we got our steak it was well done, had absolutely no flavor. It was horrible I paid $30 for a meal I didn't eat. I paid for $11 on extra steak did6get get. I definitely will not return. Absolutely horrible service and paid to much for a meal that wasn't even right

The hibachi area is a 10/10. Fast service , fast food, frequent refills. Well cooked and delicious

I love good sushi and freshly cooked food. The fact that I can get both in one place gives me the best of both worlds. The food here was amazing. I will definitely be back.

First time to try Hibachi, was with my Momma, both Sisters and a Cousin. Ordered the Hibachi Combination of Steak, Shrimp & Chicken with Fried Rice & vegetables. Also tried the Yum-Yum Sauce - YUMMY! Watching the Chef prepare it was fun, interesting and exciting. It was definitely worth it. Can't wait to bring my husband so he can experience it as well.

Our chef was sooo nice and cool and fun too! (wish I got his name). The atmosphere was great, chill, and clean (which is very important to me). The food was really good and we had plenty to take home. Only thing, the steak wasn't that tender (got it medium well). Definitely want to go again.

It was a GREAT experience! My mom LOVED IT for her first time and my husband. Everyone should check it out. Food taste was alright. The fun was in the preparing from the chef. He was fun. My first time at this location.

Gets a bit too Smokey for my liking. Ventilation could be a lot better. Tofu for vegetarians would be a nice addition.

My wife loves this location. I can’t give it five stars because they don’t always have the same food and the service is not always 5 star.

Got the wrong order. Tried to explain to the waitress that it wasn’t what I ordered but she had an attitude and forced us to pay for the item. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

The food and the chef were good. Our waitress, on the other hand, was very disappointing. Her attitude was very unwelcoming. She frowned and looked angry from the time she came to take our order. I had to flag her down several times in order to receive simple items, such as a straw and chopsticks. Then she never came over to see if we needed a refill on our beverages. We actually had to ask a different waitress to assist after waiting so long. Our waitress only returned after our lunch was complete and to bring the check .

I visited this location at 11:30 am on a Sunday, waited 30 minutes, was seated, waited another 15 minutes to get drinks and was never served. A family of the opposite race walked in after all this had taken place, received their drinks, and their food cooked on the hibachi’s grill while we were still sitting there with no food. This was the most blatant form of racial discrimination that I have ever received. My family and I left, but had to explain to 3 small children what just happened. We visit Ichiban in Madison & Pearl and this has never happened.

This was not my first visit to this Ichiban restaurant. And it is always the same, great. We went this time for my mother's birthday. She loved it. Even with each chef having their own personality the show is basically the same and predictable. But with this knowledge it is great fun to bring someone new.... The food is great and portions are plentiful.

I Have Liked eating here bcz when you go as a group Noone has to wait on their food and everyone can be serviced at the same time. My dish is always fresh, hot 🔥 and to my satisfaction. Some of the chef's are friendlier than others with communication but overall it's a nice atmosphere for a high or small group.

Food is good if it's not cold it usually is. Staff are very nice and professional. The woman in charge at Flowood is rude and not very kind.

We had a great time & food. You get a large amount of food for the price. My only complaint is on the shrimp tempura roll they put salad mix inside of the roll. I would not recommend that. The chef if the photo is the best one they have. He is great

This place is amazing, I love its food, the workers SEEM to love the job, and in the place I ate at, they tossed the scrambled egg bits to try and get the food into our mouth! 10/10, and the waiters+cooks are amazing!

Pretty great place for sushi lovers, not all of their sushi was to die for but there are a good plethora of choices for beginners.

Having dined at similar restaurants in the majority of our states for more than a few decades, I’ve gained an appreciation and respect for true and finer quality of food, serving sizes and service by the restaurant’s employees. At best… Ichiban is a good restaurant. More than likely, residents of this area will likely express praise for lacking the experience and pleasure of other similar restaurants.

I am a vegetarian, so the fried rice is always a great option.

Food is always great 😊. The best location to go to is Flowood. Food is always fresh and well seasoned. My kids love it.

Ichiban is always so clean and the food is delicious. The people are accommodating and give all the sauces to make the rice even more delicious and to dip my meats in as well. I'll be back for sure.

We come here often enough we are regulars! The staff are super friendly, family friendly, and know what we want when we come in. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great sushi, food, and drinks! Black widow and angry dragon rolls are Devine!

Food was good as usual. Me, wife, and grandson enjoyed it.

My partner and I decided to stop here after a long drive and we sincerely regret doing so. The food was cold greasy and tasteless the waitstaff stared at us the entire time that we ate but they couldn’t be bothered to ask if we needed refills. The overall condition of the buffet was disgusting too. Instead of standing and staring at customers they need to be staring at the counters that need to be wiped and the food that needs to be rotated. It’s ridiculous to have to pay 22 dollars per person just to have cold food and a prejudice wait staff. Take your money elsewhere.

Great sushi and fantastic service!

My wife and I had lunch here today and were disappointed. I haven't been to this location in about a year and was surprised at the downhill turn. The griddles were dirty, floor sticky, didn't feel like the high end place we used to have date nights at. They also included a 15% gratuity on all orders which is a shame, we typically tip more than that. Also, they charge extra for double rice instead of no vegetables, you're telling me rice is more expensive than vegetables? Rice was very bland and dry as well, I don't think the chef was too interested in being there. Our meat/seafood were good though. Hopefully things can turn around for a once loved Hibachi place.

TERRIBLE service! My husband and I had hibachi. Our waitress, Lynn, was horrible. She took forever to take our order and didn't greet us or introduce herself. She walked up with a pen and paper and just stared at us until we said what we wanted. There were 2 other parties of 2 at our table and she did the same to them. She didn't bother to ask how the steaks should be cooked. I ordered edimame but she was so slow in coming with our drinks, the chef had already started cooking the food. I canceled the edimame since our plates were already filling up and it had not arrived. Our hibachi chef only interacted with 3 people at the table by throwing egg into their mouth. He did not do any of the fun stuff you typically see at hibachi places. He stood and cooked and that was all. Then, when the bill came we saw they automatically add 15% for a tip. The service we received was not worth any kind of tip so we had them remove it. I am sure most people just pay it and usually we tip more than that but this service SUCKED! The food tasted good however I just had to take antj-nausea medication. I would not come back

I've travel the U S. and the world. Service was ok, atmosphere was ok, staff was nice. Everything was good except the food. This was truly the worst hibachi and sushi I've ever had. That includes the Midwest. I do not recommend.

The restaurant had a pretty good atmosphere and they seated us fairly soon. It took a bit to take our order though and unfortunately 5 in our party got sick. I mean bouts of vomiting and diarrhea. It was bad. The food was very heavy on the soy sauce, overly salty. So there probably won't be a repeat visit.

Had a great time. The salmon hibachi is awesome.

Food was great but service was horrible! Our waitress never came around, I didn’t have a drink for most of our meal and when she finally brought me a refill it didn’t even have ice! For the price I paid (including the added tip) I felt I overpaid!

Hey there , i walked in because i was getting ready to order a take out order . When i walked in i was greeted with a young man who gave me a menu when he asked did i need a menu . I politely said yes and walked over to the counter and said hey I’m a little alarmed , but I’m a playing manner and asked about the shrimp tempura rolls and one said 15$ and the other online said 9$ . The price was not the issue The issue i had was , the lady at the bar had a nasty attitude and treated me like i was a piece of trash on the floor . Threw a menu at me and said , because you’re looking at the specialty rolls that’s why the price is different … as she last in told me the price i paid it no issues… When i walk be an in the restaurant after 20 mins of me and my wife shopping in Kroger . Came back in a happy mood with my mask on . The lady ran over to the sushi bar and simply had a gentleman that could not speak a word of English give me my order..and i heard the conversation.. He’s back in the store when i literally was. Friendly j will be contacting the franchise and the manger of the restaurant to file a complaint this doesn’t make sense . And i wouldn’t even harm a fly . This will be my last time ordering a to go order and walking in this restaurant….. highly upset . After i spent my hard earned money here .

Food was cold. We got there at the time they open. Seen it would be hot. Will not go back to either one of them. Prices high. They gave me credit for my part of the food. But price didn’t add up.

Everything was good until they tried to sneak in a 15% service fee on our 3 person check. When questioned, they removed it but it felt very shady and deliberate.

For the first experience here it was nice. The inside is smaller than it looks from outside but but nicely decorated. There is a tiny bar by the entrance. All the sushi rolls were very fresh tasting. The Flowood roll was my first time trying salmon on sushi. It didn’t have a fishy taste at all and I liked how they captured the Smokey flavor in it. The Mississippi was good, slightly spicy and fresh tasting. The Yummy roll was my favorite of the three but the sauce that it comes with needs more flavor but I also get a side of eel sauce just in case lol. Their vegetables were cooked perfectly don’t knock it was a teriyaki sauce or plain stir fry sauce but it gave the vegetables a good flavor. The server was nice kinda shy tho lol but still left her a nice tip. Thanks

You can choose hibachi or sushi. I chose sushi and ordered a very good and large "Dancing Girl" roll along with mackrel and eel 🍣.

I drove two hours to eat here got there five min after time and the front cashier was so nasty and rude to me she could have let me order to go instead she walked up said we closed and walked off I asked for management she told me no and left us standing there wow

It was a horrible experience for my family I paid 138 dollars for 6 adults when they are all kids all because of a height thing and then the woman rudely told them to get up while I was talking to the manager and said to get up and go she took my plate that I was still eating on definitely not worth it and I feel like I was just brushed off so I will not be going back there due to their terrible services

Never had a good meal at "Itchy ban". Super expensive and super nasty. Try Osaka.

Party of two….gratuity added on the check without notice. I would have tipped more. Just thought it was odd for small party. The grill work at this place is pretty sloppy. The guy cleaning the grill after the meal was more concerned with being neat than the chef. Rice all over the place….eggs burned almost immediately with foul smell. Kept thinking he would scrape up the burned egg but no. Several types of meat being cooked….chicken, lobster, steak and shrimp. All of those raw meats were in each other’s dance space at one point or another. Glad no one had food allergies. The chef spilled sauce….dang near threw the rice on the plate. I think that hibachi needs a bit of theater but more importantly the cooking technique needs to be better than Waffle House. I love hibachi but this place needs to improve. Pay too much to eat here for this experience.

Food was delicious. We weren't super excited about the ramen. Pay attention to your receipt since they automatically add 15% gratuity and we were only a party of 2 so we almost tipped twice.

The atmosphere was great and food was good. You definitely get your money’s worth as the serving I had could have fed two people. The only reason I was disappointed was that they already included a tip before they cashed out my check. I guess I missed the sign telling they automatically add the gratuity to check. Otherwise I would have given it a four maybe five star rating.

I love it here! The sushi, soup and salad are always fresh. The Lemon Drop drink was absolutely perfect!

First time and I Really enjoyed this place. The food was a little too much soy sauce that made it high in sodium but other that, great place for food and fun.

When visiting my mother this is the place we go to eat every time. I usually stay for 4 or 5 days and we'll go at least twice. Huge selection of fresh sushi (my favorite). They also have a wide variety of other asian foods and some American food (not much). I highly recommend Ichiban if you like asian foods.

This is the Best Asian Buffet we have ever been to very very fresh and clean. Our server was so sweet. The fish is local raised catfish not that Vietnamese stuff must of the Asian buffets have the sushi wad awesome and fresh. Everything was great. We will be back... THANKYOU ICHIBAN OF FLOWWOOD

Always a good time here. The chefs are entertaining and the food is the best. Extra pink sauce please!!! Hibachi is nice. We don’t eat much sushi. But the rolls I’ve seen looks great.

Ate there a few years ago. (It is the city of my Son in Law and daughter's , 150 miles from my house) I remember this being a all you can eat buffet. After reading the reviews I'm not sure of this anymore. Can you still eat buffet style?

Ichiban's sushi is always really good. This trip was no exception. Service was great as usual.

Everything about dinner was great except the bar service was extremely slow. We came in shortly after they opened and were 1 of 2 tables. I ordered my drink first, a few minutes later my wife and my brother a few after that. He got his beer first, my wife shortly there after and I had to ask about mine twice to make sure it was being made. The presentation by the chef was shorter than others places but he did have a few new tricks. Food was excellent and enjoyed by all.

We celebrated my son's 15th birthday today at Ichiban for lunch. This is actually our 2nd trip this week. We brought a group of his friends in. The staff was very patient with us. If you've ever had a group of teenagers trying to make decisions, you'll know what I mean. The host, waitress and chef were amazing. Great food and service.

A bit pricey and don't like they add 18% to bill then expect a tip. But service was good and food was ok

I always go to this place every time I go for my doctor appointment and I always stop there before I hit the highway to home, the food is great, delicious, and wonderful taste, I love it but price is kinda high but you can eat all buffet for your money worth... I would recommend to my more family and friends to come there.....thanks ichiban and your hard working, busy daý.....

Delicious food with ambiance to match.

The food and service here are both awesome! Everything is fresh and made with a smile. You can choose to sit at a hibachi table, or at a private table on the sushi side of the restaurant. There is plenty of parking and the restaurant is in a great location.

Food was mediocre veggies were not fully cooked. Not worth the 18% extra they automatically charge for no reason at all.

My 1st ever Hibachi. My Momma, both of my sisters met my cousin there for lunch. The food was absolutely delicious, the chef was very entertaining, the service was great & the atmosphere was awesome. Overall I highly recommend it.
