2024-02-19: I was in the area and this was one of the few restaurants open at 5 a.m. besides the fast-food chain places. The girls behind the counter were very helpful and friendly. I had the ham and cheese omelet with wheat toast, and a Egg Sandwich with ham and cheese. I also ordered a Mango Smoothie. The food was fantastic.

Igmara's Caribbean Café is my new favorite spot for sandwiches in Tampa! The ingredients are fresh and you can taste the authentic Caribbean flavors in every bite.

Stayed at an AirBnb a block away and just happened upon this place. The food is fantastic! Ate several times during the few days we were there. Tried their cuban sandwich, several breakfast items, and their cuban coffee. Everything was just fantastic.

Really clean and cute looking building inside and out. Very friendly and quick staff. Great chorizo egg and cheese sandwich with delicious cuban coffee. Definitely recommend.

Muy buena calidad de comida, las muchachas que atienden son bien atentas y amables con un horario muy conveniente de lunes a viernes desde las 4:30 de la madrugada. Estacionamiento para camiones.

Very punctual on having your food ready. Not a long wait at all despite at 11:30am is very busy for lunch time them ladies are on point beautiful and very friendly. I love going there no complaints.

I travel to Tampa often for work , and because of the Rich Cuban heritage nearby in Ybor City , I figured “ Well, when in Rome ! “ … Since I live in New Orleans , there is a vast Vietnamese culture here and because of that I have been exposed to incredible Phö , and spring rolls - cuisine unique to Vietnam . I decided to try my hand at Cuban cuisine because other than the beautiful Cuban culture that’s prominent in Miami , Tampa has got to be up there to right ?? Well I tried some different places and they were all legit BUT - Igmaras delivered the Absolute best Sandwich Cubano I have ever had !!! The staff were so awesome ( inside and out ) and the price and portion size was unbeatable. Sadly , I haven’t been back to Tampa in a few months and I am Jonesing for my Cuban Sandwich!!!!!!! I haven’t tried Anything else on their menu because I just love the Cuban sandwich so much but I am sure that everything else that they make is just as good . This is a wonderful place and it’s very quaint and quiet and clean that I go there every time I’m in Tampa and each time that a coworker goes with me I’m like come on buddy , I have a place for you to try !! Anyone traveling to the area for vacation or work or maybe someone that lives in the area you definitely need to look into this place and on that note if you travel quite a bit try to get into some of the local cuisine wherever you are at I think Cuban food is my favorite food now !!!

I made a wrong turn and "happen by" this little cafe. I decided to go in for a look. It was clean and the food smelled really good. I was thinking on more like breakfast but the lunch I had in mind was already prepared. I purchased the rice, beans, baked chicken and plantains. I was excited to taste the food. To my dismay the food was old tasting not fresh as I've experienced in other Caribbean restaurants. The rice hard in places and the over-all quality of the baked chicken dryyyyyyyyyy🤦🏽‍♀️ to say as cute as this little cafe is I will not be going back for round ✌🏾they received 3 stars for upkeep of the business and cleanliness.

Staying in Tampa for the week, my first morning i hit one place up for breakfast downtown. It was meh, overpriced basic food. Went out for a run this morning and saw this place. LOVE IT! Will be coming here for my breakfast while I’m here. Very friendly staff, and the food was GREAT! Definitely recommend! 5 stars!

May be hard to find for some in an area not often visited, but worth the trip. The food is cheap, authentic, and very tasty. Sandwiches (Cubans, etc) are very popular but my favorite is the chopped pork with black beans/rice...I am originally from South Carolina and it is the closest thing that reminds me of the BBQ I was raised on- very good and near impossible finding in Florida. The staff is also VERY nice. The inside is small but there are tables- and it also has outside seating in the form of booths against the exterior wall. They seem to do well with the business crowd working at Port Tampa.

They have the same food exactly every day. So after awhile i got burnt out..

Devil crabs, hot pressed Cuban sandwiches, and fresh daily hot lunch specials... What's not to like? Their food is excellent, authentic, and delicious. Seating is limited, I usually get mine to go, most people do, it gets really busy at lunch time, but worth the short wait.

I used to go there for Cuban sandwiches or hot food when I was driving a taxi. I retired in 2012 and haven't been back for a while. Boliche, pork and other hot dishes are offered for a very good price. By seeing this listed on Trip Advisor I will go back now to see Igy and have some of the great home cooked food. Always was good and Igy is a very personable woman. You can eat outside but I would consider it more for a to go eatery rather than a fine dining spot. It's actually cuban or latin food rather than Indian as stated. Hi Igy, hope all is well.
