The taste of the food preparation has decreased. months before the taste was better; we were not even given the characteristic courtesy of the Peruvian canchita. I wish they would return to prepare their taste of the dishes as it was better.

Diamond in the rough ! Inside this quiet little plaza in the foothills we found a fun, tasty and unique dining AND drinking experience. Once we started feeling warm and fuzzy, we were ready to order some food. Admittedly, never thought good sea food was synonymous with Peruvian cuisine. Ceviche on point ! Arroz Con Mariscos, incredible and we can't wait to come back and try out the rest of their menu. Just ran out of room in our tummies : ) The best part is their staff's friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming vive. If you like Sonoran Sea Food, Inca's will blow your taste buds away. Finally, if you want a cool pic, you can take your pick in back drops of their beautiful art throughout the restaurant. Can't say enough good things about our newest favorite place just minutes from the house. Check 'em out !

My husband and I drove almost 60 miles round trip based on Guy Fieri's recommendation and we weren't disappointed. My husband had the Lomo Saltado, while I had the Chicken Saltado. Both were excellent . The roasted corn appetizer was also very good with an interesting flavor, almost like popcorn. Service, atmosphere and food were all great. We will make the drive again soon.

I’m trying to contact the restaurant for reservation and the phone is temporarily disconnected! I managed to find another phone, the owner was really polite and explained that phones are down due to the storm, but it would have been nice to announce that on their website too. I’m looking forward to trying the food.

After a long day of travel from out of state, we arrived home and ordered a rotisserie chicken from this restaurant. They accepted the order, accepted payment and confirmed the order online. But when I drove over there to pick it up, they informed me that they had canceled it. I’m never ordering from these people again

I went to eat a Lomito Saltado and they told me that they had run out of loin and we were one of the first to enter as soon as the restaurant opened, the food is good, but it bothered me quite a bit that the waitress came to our table all the time and took away our plates and although we were still eating, I felt like they wanted to throw us out of the restaurant quickly.

I wasn't too impressed with the food. Chupe de camerones was surprisingly plain, Lopo saltado was okay (like if I was given a piece of beef with salt and pepper, some onion, potatoes and rice, I could make the same thing at home myself). With the price, the portion was small. I have no desire to return.

Great find while visiting Tucson. The food was absolutely delicious, though could have used a touch more salt for my taste. The ceviche and fried yucca we're a highlight. Also loved the Pisco Sour cocktails. The menu is mostly gluten free, but best to check before ordering. Service was quick and attentive.

We’ve heard a lot about this restaurant and we were anxious to try it out. Now I can say that Tucson & Phoenix have fantastic Peruvian food. My wife and I started with a house salad that was accompanied by a Peruvian salad dressing. It was very good. I had a chicken curry entree accompanied by Jasmine rice. My wife had a beef and bean dish and the beef had been marinated in Peruvian spices. There was a very flavorful sauce and it was accompanied by Jasmine rice. We finished off our meals with a flan for desert. This restaurant is quite small, but they do have a fair amount of outdoor tables. Plenty of parking since this place is in a shopping center. It is certainly worth having at least one meal at this restaurant. Give it a try.

update: 28 April 2024: I decided to give it another shot to actually try the food. I arrived an hour before closing and I was greeted immediately and shown a seat, given water and a menu, and asked if I had any questions. The atmosphere was very cozy, I sat outside, but I felt very much a part of the restaurant sitting outside the main entrance. The planters, tables, and wonderful guitarist extended the service area outside completely. I asked the server Erika, about the Peruvian drink Chilcano de Pisco and she said that it's very light and refreshing with a strong citrus flavor, and it tasted exactly as described. I ordered the signature Pollo a la Brasa with house rice, and it came with nice side salad. Although the chicken was a little dry, not terribly dry but it was late in the day (my fault), and still wonderfully flavorful. The accompanying garlic, cilantro, and vinegar sauce was a perfect compliment, but the chicken flavor stands on its own. The real star for me was the rice. I have no idea how it's made, but it's AMAZING! Overall the review I left below was deserved, but they have fixed whatever staff misunderstanding there was about seating customers close to the end of the service hours. I strongly suggest that you make the short trip up the hill from. The east side and try the amazing food and great service. February 2024: I wish I could have tried the food, but apparently they don't actually close at 8 PM, they close when their servers decide it's time. I showed up late to be sure; 7:50. Plenty of people still sitting inside and out on the patio. I was told that they close at 8, I looked at my phone and showed it to the server. She promptly told me that all I can get was take out. I wouldn't have minded that, but then she began to rattle off what else I couldn't get from the menu. So I told her she clearly didn't want to take my money or provide the service and walked next door to the Thai restaurant. I guess they have really good food and get enough business to allow them to turn away customers. I come to Tucson with a team frequently for work. I usually recommend Guadalajara to my fellow travelers, and I wanted to scout this place out before I recommended we drive up the hill. Our normal bills are around $35-50 per person X 4-6 people. We all tip 20% or better. That's $170-300 plus tip you will not be getting from me and my team.

Today, Friday 4/12, we decided we wanted some of this good Peruvian food, so made our way to Inca's for lunch. As usual, it was lovely! We arrived around 1:30, and there were quite a few people sitting outside. Inside, it was empty. Since it was such a beautiful warm day, this was not a surprise. We found a very nice table outdoors, and settled ourselves in. Ordered our favorite drink there-"Pisco Sour", and my husband ordered Jalea de Mariscos (calamari, shrimp, mussels, fish), while I wanted dessert today, so ordered something smaller-Causa Rellena with vegetables. The food was brought so attractively displayed on the plate, that it was almost a shame to disturb it. But, since we were hungry, we had no choice. Music, at just the right volume, played in the background, there was a very gentle breeze, and most of the tables were in the shade. It was delightful sitting outside! The food, as usual, was absolutely, delicious, the service was excellent, and we had the most wonderful lunch. For dessert, I ordered the Alfajores, and these just seemed to melt in the mouth, and were the perfect ending to a perfect meal. We've been here many times, and, not once, did we have anything to complain about, or be unhappy about. We consider Inca's to be one of Tucson's gems, and we are lucky that it is not that far away from home.

We found this restaurant from Guy’s DDD website. It lived up to its billing. The food and service was excellent. The roasted corn nuts were tasty and a great way to kick off the dining experience. The Jalea de Mariscos was excellent. The white fish was not heavily breaded and the breading on the shrimp and calamari was lite and tasty. The seafood was cooked perfectly. The Seco de Carne was a fall off the fork tender rendition of a beef roast that was well seasoned but not hot or spicy. The jasmine rice was favorable and perfectly cooked. The servers were very friendly and attentive. We will definitely revisit this restaurant the next time we are in Tucson.

Our party of four enjoyed excellent flavors of the food served at lunch today. For example, the rice in my arroz con mariscos was perfectly cooked and most flavorful, however, the seafood was unfortunately way overcooked. We were disappointed that the one menu available covering both lunch and dinner, has far less variety than the menus shown on-line. Ambience is colorful and welcoming. Service was enthusiastic and friendly. Outside seating is available. We will return, especially when the menu is expanded, which is supposedly in process. I recommend diners go and have a taste for themselves.

Inca’s Peruvian catered a birthday party for 30 people in our home in Feb 2024. This was the second time we used their catering service. The food and service were outstanding and the cost seemed reasonable. We enthusiastically give Inca’s a 5-star recommendation. The first helpers arrived with the appetizers just before our guests arrived. After placing bowls of Peruvian roasted corn nuts around the room for the first arrivals to enjoy, they set the table with a beautiful display of Causa Rellena, yellow potato cakes stuffed with veggies, and Yuquitas, slices of fried yucca root, accompanied by dipping sauces, all in pretty pottery dishes. Both of these delicious vegetarian and gluten-free appetizers drew raves from our guests. About 30 minutes later, the second team, including amiable restaurant owner Fatima Campos, arrived with hot entrées: Arroz con Mariscos, the Peruvian version of paella, red rice mixed with peppers, tomatoes, and generous amounts of shrimp, mussels, calamari and other seafood (also gluten-free), and Ají de Gallina, strands of pulled chicken breast served over sliced boiled potatoes in a lemony garlic sauce, with jasmine rice on the side. Inca’s team stayed through dessert (we made flan and chocolate birthday cake), though they helped set it up and serve it. We hadn’t anticipated that they would do that or that they would circulate and help pick up used plates and glasses but they did. Before they left, they straightened up the kitchen and left us beautifully packaged leftovers. The photo is the appetizer table in my home after the guests have begun to dig in.

Yes, it was time - to return to Incas Peruvian cuisine in Tucson. It’s been quite a while since we’ve been there and even longer since writing a review. The place is small, so we always make sure we have a reservation. Our dinner group almost takes up half the restaurant ! Service is good as I remember it’s always good. We ordered drinks - beer selection is limited, but ok. For our meal - we split the half pollo a la brasa since one us likes the thigh/leg and the other likes the lighter meat. It comes with a salad and a side of potatoes or rice. We like their potatoes/fries. The pollo (chicken) is rotisserie style so very tender with tons of flavor - excellent ! All in all - a very good meal, just like I remember from a long time ago.

Visited this restaurant at around 7:00pm. It took the waiter (white, middle age male) about 15 mins to take my order. The first words out of his mouth were, “you came at a busy time”. I asked for the restroom, and he pointed over to the restroom without a word. The food was OK, I ordered the Ceviche, it was mediocre, at best. I write many food reviews and this restaurant would get 10 stars if I had that option. First time here with husband and when our server, Monika came out, I knew this place would be special. We ordered their Pisco Sour. It was wonderful. Husband ordered two. For dinner, I ordered the Ceviche Mixto with shrimp and white fish. The marinade was a party in my mouth. Husband ordered the Seco de Carne. The meat was tender, rice was perfect. For dessert, we shared their flan version. It was denser than regular flan. The star that night was our server Moniker. She loves what she does…pleasing the customers. She got excited when we told her this was our first time there. The other servers were very friendly. I’m a tough reviewer and hold high expectations. Inca’s hit the mark on many levels. You need to try them once and you will be hooked. Guy Fieri from DDD was there a few years back. This review is based on me and my husband’s experience. After all these years, my first time dining here. We sat inside — probably should have sat on the patio where the heaters were running, as the indoor ceiling fans were circulating cold air downwards, making us a bit chilly. We started with a couple of Pisco cocktails, mine a Pisco Sour that I quite enjoyed. For the mains, my GF had the Arroz con pollo a la brasa. Not just arroz, mind you — rather a cilantro-infused rice that I found amazing. Just calling it “arroz” or “house rice” is doing this delicious accompaniment a disservice. They should probably mention “Cilantro” in the title of the dish — such as “Fatima’s Arroz Cilantro”. Being a fan of paëlla, I ordered the Arroz con mariscos. It was delicious, but I wish the rice had been more moist — the menu photo wasn’t representative of what was served (cf. my photo). Think I’ll try the Picante de mariscos on my next visit. Service was kind, attentive & helpful with recommendations. Atmosphere pleasant, patio cozy. Glad to have them adding culinary color and variety to our neighborhood.

It came without the sauce, with cold rice and unseasoned cold vegetables. She brought sauce. A disaster of a dish. The chairs are rustic meaning uncomfortable: wood, no cushion, straight back. My husband and I were at Incas for dinner last night. Omg it was amazing! We started with a couple appetizers - the papa rellena which was cooked perfectly! We’ve had this before and it’s become a favorite. We also ordered Choritos a la Chalaca at the recommendation of our great waitress. These were generous size mussels flavored wonderfully with tomato onion and a nice spicy rocoto. As our entrees I ordered Jalea de Mariscos which was a very generous serving of breaded white fish calamari and shrimp- and my husband enjoyed the Carapulca which is a flavorful casserole cooked with beef chicken and pork. My husband loved it! We enjoyed a couple Pisco Sours! Yum. We are visiting from Utah and no matter what we always make a point of returning to Incas. We have tried Peruvian restaurants in Utah and California and Incas is by far our favorite. They are consistently generous with servings and flavors. The waiters and waitresses are always wonderful! We absolutely love Incas ❤️

Tried the Papa Rellena for an appetizer, mashed potatoes containing seasoned ground beef, then fried. Yumbo! For main dishes we had the Seco de Carne con Frejoles (beef) and Aji Gallina (chicken). Beef was tender and moist, beans were perfectly seasoned and cooked. Shredded chicken was savory and plentiful. Rice with both dishes was great. For dessert, we had Alfajores (wonderful crisp cookies with caramel filling covered with powdered sugar). Just a perfect sweet touch. Oh, and don't miss the Piscos Sours, the national cocktail of Peru. Our server, Lidia, was fun and helpful. Can't wait to come again to try the Ceviche, and the Pollo a la Brasa, and everything else!

This is the type of small café you want to tell the whole city about but also want to keep all to yourself, to retain the fantastic neighborhood feel (of course, the Food Network’s Guy Fieri sort of blew that out of the water by featuring Inca’s on his Triple-D show in 2019 and at his Super Bowl Flavortown Tailgate party in 2023). It’s easy to see why locals love the place. First, there’s the easy-access location, with ample parking and quaint outdoor seating. Next, there’s the friendly service and inviting atmosphere — the owner personally welcomes patrons and makes you feel right at home. And then there’s the food — the textured, well-priced menu and authentic cuisine (delicious seafood and more) will have you immediately planning your next visit.

Very disappointing, this place cuts corners big time and it shows. I am Peruvian so I know what the food should be like. Anyone who says this place is good is saying so because they probably don’t know otherwise. The one positive is the guy playing classic Latin American rock on his violin, that was cool. I ordered chicha morada, papa rellena, and ají de gallina. Chicha morada was good but not completely cold and served in a small glass, it cost $4. Papa rellena did not appear fresh and seemed like it was just ground beef with taco seasoning. No hard boiled eggs, just one raisin. Very disappointing. I bet this place pre-cooks their food and keeps it in warming trays. This certainly seemed like it. Ají de gallina was awful! It looked like stewed shredded chicken and the Huancaina sauce was non-existent. It had a watery consistency which just looked like chicken broth and I honestly wanted to leave the restaurant after they brought me this dish. It also tasted extremely bland. This place must be hurting with the bottom line because they only gave me one potato slice and egg slice. Not even an entire hard boiled egg! Cmon. Take your money to the other Peruvian places in town. I spent $33 and left disappointed. This place isn’t it.

Was there last Saturday night and had a party of 15 to celebrate my father's 80th birthday. It was a total success! The food, the atmosphere and the staff couldn't have been better. Fatima Campos and her team went out of their way to make my Dad feel like a King for the night! Our server, Lidia is the absolute best and a huge part of making this memorable dining experience so special! We were treated royally and everyone loved their dishes. A few of us enjoyed the pisco sours that were amazingly refreshing on a hot July night! VIVA PERU and long live Inca's!!

We ate here yesterday and had the ceviche. My husband had the arroz con mariscos, and I had the pescado a lo macho. Not even 4 hours later, my husband had severe stomach pains, and we were told we had food poisoning. Definitely wasn't worth paying 73 dollars for food poisoning. I am very disappointed in this restaurant that supposedly prides itself in its cuisine.

I have been there two times so far. I find the food fair, quantities are too small for the prices they charge. Ceviche has too much salt and very small. Yesterday I invited friends to dinner there since there was music playing. Music was outside, we sat inside, door was open. The music was so loud that made it impossible to have conversations at the table while eating.

Today (Friday 7/7), we just had to get out of the house, after sitting cooped up all week. It was the usual HOT (108 degrees), but the thought of good seafood, made us put our shoes on, and hose down the car before getting in. We arrived about 1:30, and there were still quite a few people eating lunch. This is the place to be on a hot day. We knew what we wanted, so did not even need to look through the menu. Two Pisco Sours were ordered, and they were as good as always. I had the Mussels (which is a cold dish, so, absolutely, perfect for a day like this), and my husband had the deep fried fish filet. Both of those are really appetizers, but our appetites have become smaller, and when it's hot, we could, almost, go without any lunch. This time, we ordered dessert, and what a treat that was! Those flaky cookies with caramel filling are called "Alfajores". We, usually, share dessert, but once in a while, we regret doing so, and this was one of those times. Next time, we will each have an order. Service here has never been anything less than delightful. As soon as you enter, you are greeted, and from then on, they take good care of you. Atmosphere, food and service are what will bring us back again and again.

It has been years since I had food from my country Perú. I talked to Manuel my Tocayo and a cute Mexican waitress. I felt at home. Then they served dishes that were original like mom used to cook in Pucusana beach village. It took the prize when we were served Flan. Overall I was flattered and my non-Peruvian friends give it a 5 star. By the way, I talked to my daughter and invited her and her husband on a trip to Lima and abroad. All because the experience ignited in me the desire to visit where I have the fondest memories: Perú!
