Excellent customer service and very personable. They offered great menu ideas.

Stopped in the Indian Village for lunch on a Friday. Very few customers, but all good reviews, so we tried it out. We had the Fry Bread with chili and it was good, but not excellent. The chicken taco was bland, as the chicken was just white meat without seasoning. We walked to the back of the establishment, where the restaurant is located and were informed we needed to go back out front to place our order. There were only 2 other persons eating at the time, so it seemed they could have just taken our order at that time? Anyway, the atmosphere is kind of plain and outdated, but it was cooler than sitting outside.

I came solely for the navajo taco, but the guacamole is some of the tastiest I've ever had. The navajo taco and fry bread live up to the hype, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. This is a humble place with a cute little gift shop, and more people should come check it out.

This place is the “feeling you get when you drive into Cave Creek/Carefree” in food form! Get combo chicken/steak tacos for the win! And save room for the Indian Fry Bread!!

This place deserves a rave review on every level! I thought I had done a review on this place every time we've gone, but apparently, I kept forgetting. The owner is an absolute hoot to meet, and all the food we have had so far has been beyond my imagination every time! Last time, I mistakenly got myself addicted to their horchatta, lol. Oh my goodness, divine! Best I've ever had! The chimichanga practically melted in my mouth and the flat bread...well, it's perfect every time. Very authentic and finger licking good! My friend has been going there for over 20 years, and it's the same she remembers and never disappoints. They create nostalgic memories.

Bomb. Navajo Taco. Must try. Authentic. Tasty.

Great little place for lunch! We had the red chile beef fry bread with beans and cheese and an order of the honey and powdered sugar fry bread for dessert. My favorite meal after spending a week in Cave Creek.

Oh my goodness, the Navajo tacos are amazing. The young lady behind the counter said I was in for a treat, and she was right. I will easily make that drive any day of the week to eat there.

Delicious and Hearty Mexican food! One of the best I've ever had! Great Staff, and Cleanliness is Top Tier! I had a long day from work one time, a 12hr shift but when I came to eat here with some friends the food was so good I wanted to cry 😅😭.

We drive 25 minutes to get the chili. You won't find better chili in AZ. Staff is very friendly and food comes our fast.

We walked in about 30 minutes before closing. We hated to do it, but we weren't going to be back anytime soon, so we decided we would eat quickly and leave so they could get to their lives. The food came quickly, and we learned as fast that the owners' confidence was not unfounded. The Chimichanga was one of the best I have ever had! The Horchata was delicious! It truly was, in his words, a treat. The kitchen employees were very nice despite our late arrival, but we successfully finished before the closing bell and went on our way. Do not miss this gem when you find yourself in Carefree.

Wow!!! This food is amazing we had the Navaho taco!!! It was amazing. Also had there tacos!!!! Recommended!!! They are like Jack in the box tacos on steroids. The bean and cheese chimichanga is life changing!!!!!

Food and service was good but the back room was hot.

I would NOT waste my hard earned money here! Food was meh 😒 and service was awful! Spent almost 40 dollars for two people and they had the nerve to try to charge extra for a small very small salsa container. We will NOT waste our money and time in this bizarre place ever again! Highly over rated and waste of money👎👎👎 PS talk to the owner manager, and he just gave me lip service and was just as uncaring. Food is overrated the whole outfit and what was the most disappointing is that the mail manager or owner didn’t even care I was very condescending.

Everyone should try the food here. The kitchen staff can really cook, authentic Mexican food. It's inexpensive and you get a lot. You can eat inside or out front in the screened in porch with picnic tables. Bart, the owner, is a great easy to talk to guy, always joking and laughing. We go there as much as we can. Look around the store, it's got some interesting things, take your time. Of course you have to buy a t shirt 😊. Love that Bart and his wife's homemade carmel and pecan chocolate candy. Yummy. Wow! This place has amazing food. Good flavor. It's kind of hidden. I caught it at the last sec and made my husband turn around. So glad we did, I was not disappointed. The ladies there was also friendly. Thank you ladies I appreciate you!!

Really good fry bread. Was never told my number or where to pick up my food. So by the time it was all figured out, it was a little colder than it should have been. But the guy that was running the location was great!

This place is not the easiest to find if you have never been here, but it's worth the hunt. Nestled in the back of a shop that sells rugs, shirts, sweatshirts, postcards, and more, you'll find a tiny eating area where you can scarf down some regular or Navajo tacos. Also, you'd be unwise to leave without trying their fry bread. Be aware that this should be on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. So if you have some ritzy judgmental person in your group who won't be able to enjoy the food because the space doesn't resemble HGTV, grab it to go, but don't skip the experience. It's a local favorite.

My sister (from Florida) and I came to shop for Indian blankets and coasters. Everytime she comes to Arizona, she shops here. Great items, prices and friendly service.

The fry bread was really good. In my opinion its really good with cheese on it but there's a wide variety of toppings you can have on your bread.

The fry bread is what you come here for. A classic in Cave Creek. They have a small store with various knick-knacks related to Arizona / the Southwest, but they might be a little better curated here. There are many places in Cave Creek that sell similar items - I wouldn’t say to visit here for that. The other food on their menu is okay. It’s not bad, it’s not great. You’re better off elsewhere if you just want a Mexican cuisine meal, but if anyone in your party wants a fry bread…don’t think twice. This is the place and you’ll still enjoy the food!

EXCELLENT! Do NOT pass up the fry bread. My best meal during the whole trip. The chimichanga was delicious and it was wrapped in the fry bread which made it very tender.

Got the best Horchata of my life here. We got the Indian fry bread and it was great. I honestly wish we got food because I have no doubt in my mind that it would be bussin too.

Cool little cafe/gift shop serving Native-Mexican food Had some good fry bread with honey and sugar and bought a cool poncho for $15.. Would like to try some of the other food on the menu. Worth stopping at 4 sure!!

Do you like fry bread, good pillowy fry bread fresh and hot! Do you like supporting local food people then get out here and grab some food and souvenirs. Then you can sirens your day checking out the rest of cave creek! Seriously great people and food!

The food was amazing. Everything so fresh. They make everything there. Fresh taco shells. Fresh Indian bread. Fresh amazing red chili. I bought a container of the red chili to bring home. It's 56 miles from my wife and I otherwise maybe lucky we'd be there every day!

We were looking for some Indian tacos and found this place online, cave creek Arizona, the tacos were so good but sadly you can only eat one because you are full, the place had a little store inside so you can buy Indian jewelry and other merchandise. You Will not find a fancy restaurant here but the food is very good and pretty good prices too.

Several of us went here twice for lunch. The tacos and other items are very good, large portions, inexpensive. There are several fry breads, all delicious and not greasy at all. We sat under a tree in the back yard which was relaxing like being at someone's house.

Title says it all. Great tacos and cheaper than other restaurants in town. Friendly staff. Not a full service restaurant if you're looking for cocktails but can always go next door for a drink afterwards. Great authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price.

Cute store with a great restaurant attached that has unique food options in addition to some traditional Mexican dishes. Had the Navajo Taco and was super full after but content as it has the fry bread as the tortilla.

Walk past the tourist area to the left, and order the shredded beef indian fry bread taco. I used to live near the Navajo reservation, and this is very close to the real thing. Cute little dining area in the back. They also serve horchata if you want a different kind of treat.

My parents have been coming here for 35 years, and now I love coming every time I visit. The fry bread is hands down the best I've ever had! If you appreciate spice, be sure to try the Hell Fire kitchen. This is a place you don't want to miss on your next visit to Cave Creek.

The food here was excellent and very reasonably priced. The hours are odd, 9:30-5, so plan accordingly. Satisfies the fry bread craving, chimichangas we're great too.

Bart is a hoot. From the time we walked in, he was chatting. Sometimes to us, sometimes to the cooks and may be a little to himself. Casual doesn't come close to describing Indian Village. Everything is run by the ladies and Bart just has fun and collects the money. I had the Indian Taco and my husband had the chicken tacos. Mine came with a sorta clear salsa that was nicely spicy. The fry bread was great - crispy exterior and pillowy center. If I had a gripe, it was bean centric with a minor amount of beef. My husband thought his tacos were excellent. Two were plenty. And full of chicken, too.

Stopped by for lunch after a drive when no one could pick and was not disappointed. Two of us had the Navajo tacos, one fry bread with red chili and beans and one burrito. Afterwards we looked through the store and picked up a couple small things.

This is a wonderful Authentic Mexican dive. The lovely signorinas are kind and talented. The food is authentic and homemade. Don’t expect luxury here, it’s spartan but cute. I love the cheese enchiladas with a wonderful light and delicious green sauce. I had rice and beans with my enchiladas which were perfectly prepared. I hate goopy beans and these were light and homemade tasting. When here, make sure you take home the fry bread which is sinfully tasty. We don’t have many great restaurants this far north and it’s so nice to have this authentic Mexican dive with character.

Nicely screened patios and outdoor picnic areas to dine safely while maintaining social distance. Enjoyed hibiscus tea "Jamaica" fountain drink. Most popular items tacos and Indian bread very good.

Hidden gem for itasty homedtyle Mexican food & picnic table casual local style dining. Absolutely no pretention here, just good food at popular prices. Beef enchilada plate very good, chimichanga even better. Sadly no tamales day we visited but will try next visit. Good parking front & back.

Don’t be afraid of this “hole in the wall” place next door to “Biker Bar” Hideaway in Cave Creek. Great people are hands on here. Authentic food. All cooked with care and very good.

Best ‘hole in wall’ for Mexican/Indian food. Delish. The restaurant is in the back side of the building. In the front is an Indian shop. The guy working the counter haves good hiking recommendation for Spur Creek area. Great find.

Very small but probably one of the best meals you can have in Cave Creek. The restaurant is in the back of a gift shop and they make the fry breads and tacos for you on the spot. Generous portions for the price.

Anytime they make the bread right in front of you you know if will be great! Everyone's meal was great! Nice sitting area outdoors when it's not too hot!
