Friendly people operating a gem of a restaurant. Big variety and everything we had was delicious! Definitely recommend!

Amazing food! Fish amazing! Rice amazing! Thai tea also amazing! Burgers 🩵🩵 three times I have visited for food in my week stay and I just might need one more good meal from here before traveling on. Service was pretty quick even with a line and the burger was made to order. Definitely worth the stop.

Loads of vegetarian and vegan options. We had the black bean burger and cashew nut dish with tofu. Nice selection of local beers. You order at the front window and pick up at the side window. Very friendly service.

Awesome counter-service spot in downtown Petersburg! We spent the weekend down from Anchorage playing tourist, and Inga's was definitely a highlight! Mac bites were a tasty app and we ordered a spicy burger and the ahi bowl. Both were excellent and made to order. They also have a selection of draft beers which were awesome after a day of sightseeing and hiking! They have a fun courtyard-style layout which was great, even on a rainy afternoon. Highly recommend a stop here!

Great food with a very impressive variety on the menu. Lots of Thai, light seafood (Halibut burger) and classic American. The BBQ Pork exceeded expectations and the Burgers were great. We will 100% come back for lunch soon.

Lovely atmosphere on a sunny evening. All outdoor seating, counter service. Friendly staff. Had fish & chips- chips were excellent, fish was ok. Bit expensive for the quality but there isn't much choice in Petersburg!

I ate here whilst staying at Scandia House, next door. The restaurant is counter service and all outdoors. The staff on the counter were all really friendly. Service was quick even though the place was pretty packed. Really varied menu- the obvious seafood, burgers and some interesting Thai options too. I just had the fish & chips which was a good sized portion. The chips were excellent and the fish was good although the breadcrumbs were a little tasteless. The price was a bit high for the set up/ quality but with little choice in Petersburg I don't suppose they worry too much about that!

While visiting Petersburg, I was hungry and stopped by Inga’s Galley. I got a spicy pork sandwich with fries. OMG! Best pork sandwich I ever had. After that, every day was there, I ate there again. Everything I had was really good. Egg Rolls? Awesome! Pork on a stick- the bomb. Thai food? Even better! What a great restaurant. Definitely stop there if you’re hungry!!

It was ok. Ordered fish and chips. I didn't like the amount of breadcrumbs in the batter. Flavor was there. Fries were good not soggy and hot. I just prefer traditional brittish or beer battered fish and chips. Everything was cooked properly but being a foodie I prefer British, New England style or Alaskan beer batter. If I had to guess this is more southern without the spice.

Ordered the Blackbean burger and fries. I have ordered plenty blackbean burgers (not vegetarian, just like them!) This was nothing even resembling a "burger". One bite into the hard stale bun all of my burger patty poured out the sides, as if it was just a soft mush plopped onto a bun. No form, no burger like texture. Just a slop. Grabbed a fork and just ate the slop stuff. Now admittedly it had great flavor!! But it was not a burger. And the bun again was hard as a rock. The fries were oil soaked, and soggy no crunch whatsoever and some were undercooked. It could have been so good, but was just let down tonight.

Terrible. Don't come here under any circumstances. Order was mistaken for another person without confirmation. Fish salad was one tiny piece of fish. Just don't go. Find somewhere else The other 4 & 5 star reviews must have been high. Not worth the money under any circumstance.

I been coming to this place for 15 yrs. Never had a issue , I would always come in to order. But today I called. I had to just hang up. The young lady was rude , forceful, and just unprofessional on every level. I’ve spent thousands at this spot. This is still my go to spot for food , I even waited until 11o clock open. Then get this evil person on the phone this morning. 🥺🥺 But today I’m going to coastal. I work Maintenance I always come in groups of 4 to spend money.

All our ratings are relevant to what’s realistic to expect based on available resources. There are limited choices in Petersburg for dining. Inga’s would be 5 stars in many larger towns. For a town of under 4,000 on a remote island it’s outstanding. Everything we ate ( about 12 different meals) was very tasty. We come from Asheville ,a food oriented town with nationally rated restaurants and think Inga’s would fit right in with that scene.

Husband and I had a delicious taco lunch here, served from a trailer type building. Our lunches were punctuated by very fresh fish, crispy coleslaw, and what looked and tasted like homemade taco shells. Rice was served on the side. There was so much food we could have shared one order. The only downside was having to eat outside at a picnic table, under a tent, with no portable heaters, on a cold and rainy June day. What lacked in ambiance was made up in the quality of the ingredients.

The food had a disgusting amount of salt in it. I like salty food but the food here was hard to eat.

Terrific pod Thai, bbq pork with rice. Halibut taco and green side salad were outstanding. Also homemade dim sum Is terrific. Very flavorful food — we went twice because it was so good.

We spent quite a few nights in Petersburg and the folks at ingas really made the trip. The food is fantastic, the ambiance was surprisingly comfortable and relaxed, and the owners and staff were so pleasant to talk to. I'd come back just to eat here again.

Is an exceptionally good Asian restaurant with authentic Thai food as well as many selections of local seafood halibut salmon rockfish it’s designed as a food cart but has a very comfortable covered outdoor area with outdoor heaters making for an exceptionally friendly and comfortable yoga personal problem relaxed environment the food was all exceptional as good as in you’ll get in any of the big cities with large Asian populations the owner is incredibly friendly and accommodating and if I could go above five stars I would

Popular Inga’s Galley is the equivalent of a food truck – but housed in a little shack with a large, inviting outdoor area. The menu is pretty eclectic and LOOKS great. It also seems to be really popular, but I really don’t know why. Maybe the big beautiful patio and garden? It can’t be the food, which was horrible the day we ate there. My husband ordered the shrimp with green curry and rice. It had a delicious curry sauce, but came with chicken instead of shrimp and really gross rice that was basically rice pudding mush. I ordered something with fish and fries, but I don’t recall exactly what because both the fish and the fries were so disgusting that I didn’t eat most of it. Along with bad food, expect slow, slow, slow service. And locals get preference over visitors, which makes it even slower. (That’s ok with me, but something to know in advance if you have limited time.) Fortunately, they have a lot of games so we had a beer and played cards while waiting and waiting and waiting for our mostly inedible food. Honestly, I really wanted to like this place because it is cute and has an interesting menu – but the food was just really bad. The sad thing is, the things that made it bad could be easily fixed by someone who knows what they are doing. But until that happens, this is a great place to have a beer or soda, but go somewhere else if you want something to eat.

My husband ordered fish and chips, yes they we're busy but after a half hour they called us up and said sorry after you placed your order, we realized we we're out of rockfish. Why wait a half hour to tell us that. Needless to say they offered us halibut but we didn't want to wait another half hour.. I gave it 3 star because the staff was nice.

Wow! Amazing food cart/outdoor restaurant! The owner made her way around to each table, asking how their meal was, and getting to know her customers. She was very sweet and kind. The fish tacos were outstanding! Fish and chips, awesome! So fresh! One of our friends, loves dim sum! He said it was the best ever! French fries were soooooo good! We will be back!!!

We arrived in Petersburg tired and very hungry after many hours of travel. What a nice surprise to find this fun, casual spot with amazing food right next to our hotel!

One of the best places on the island! We’ve been there twice so far. They have a variety of menu options from sandwiches to authentic green curry. Outdoor seating and alcoholic beverages available. This is a great place for take out or “dine-in”. We will be back to try more!!

I got a Burger, ordered with a little pink. Buddy got Pad Thai, with Peppers on the side. My burger was cooked perfectly! Buddies said his Pad Thai was AWESOME! He made the mistake of adding ALL the Peppers given to him, and paying the price the next day. He said he had 'No Regrets!' lol When I'm back in Petersburg, Alaska, I'll definitely be stopping back in!

Not super impressed by the amount paid for a tiny order of fish and chips. They weren't bad, and their burgers are also pretty good, but it's a little tourist-y.

We have eaten at Inga’s several times for several years..! She has some great fresh seafood. You have to try it at least once while in Petetsburg. She has some spices that she uses in her recipes that are for sale & must haves..! You will enjoy the food..outdoor tent for staying out of the rain while eating..! Nice people!!

Inga's Galley has good food served in a unique Petersburg fashion. The seating is in a courtyard and both locals and tourists enjoy the fare. The only negative I can think of is where does one eat when it rains.

We just arrived in Petersburg, Alaska and were looking for some good seafood for our first meal and INGAS was highly rated so we gave it a try. I don’t mind paying a high price for good food and good service, but $18.00 plus 6% tax for FISH AND CHIPS and $15.00 plus tax for a SHRIMP SALAD when you have to wait in line for 10 minutes to order, another 20 minutes to pickup your order and then are expected to bus your own table borders on OUTRAGEOUS to me! The food was not worth the price or the wait and I recommend that you avoid this place at all costs...

Not much is open in Petersburg on a Monday night. But Inge’s is! Good beer on tap, good fish and chips, and friendly service.

This is like a permanent food truck. Very casual. Very homey and the only dinner restaurant open when we were there. They make their own delicious fries and the rockfish tacos were good not overly stuffed, but satisfying.

The spicy pork And rice was amazing! Will definitely be going back for more. The shrimp and feta tacos were also very tasty!

Food was good and what we expected. The price was a little steep even by Alaska standards. Worth checking out for yourself. Beer on tap and in bottle to pair with a quick lunch.

I had lunch at Inga's Galley late June this year. My Mitkof sandwich was absolutely delicious. Halibut can be dry if overcooked, my was perfect. I'm going back to Petersburg in two years and can't wait to eat at Inga's again. I hope this place stays open.

With gluten and dairy allergies I'm always weary of eating out at establishments. I was more than impressed with the knowledge of the staff and their flexibility to accommodate my dietary restrictions. Staff was exceptionally aware about exactly which dishes had allergens and had several suggestions for items they could substitute and did all of this with a happy smile on their face. They even assured me they would be cooking my meal in a separate skillet to ensure there would be no contact contamination from other dishes. My meal it self was delectable; moist shrimp tacos with savory coleslaw with a chipotle mayo sauce. The side of fries were hot, crisp, and also full of flavor. Thank you for the stress and anxiety-free meal while having smiling staff.

This is a small restaurant on the main street in the small town of Petersburg. It is outside dining only and informal. The menu is small, but the local seafood is fresh and perfectly prepared.

There's well-prepared local seafood (and the usual hamburgers etc), outdoor seating, and a small selection of craft beer. If the weather cooperates, this is probably the best place to eat in Petersburg.

Two local high school graduates were recently in a car wreck and killed. Ingas did a fund raiser having hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, Pottoto salad which was fabulous. Money goes to a scholarship for special education in memorizing of the two girls.

Great burritos, fish and chip and quesadillas. We went everyday we stayed in Petersburg for dinner and it was never getting old. A must try!

We had many dishes at this establishment while we stayed in Petersburg and never had one where we said “that sucks”. All entrees we bought were very good.
