CUSTOMERS TALK ABOUT DISHES WITH..ricesteakcilantropicantearrozlomopollopaellafriedcevichespicyfishchicken

comment_iconOpinions

The server was good but there’s only so much he could do. The lights were out in the area we were sitting so we talked to the server but we had to sit in gloomy area throughout the meal. So much so that we had trouble reading the menus. Food was very mediocre. I wouldn’t say bad, but nothing special for sure Cilantro rice was not flavorful. Definitely not worth the money. Hopefully it was just one of the not so good days for the restaurant

As a born and raised peruvian, I totally recommend this restaurant not only because of the kind environment and great service but also because of the amazing taste and fresh ingredients to prepare the food. You won’t regret visiting this restaurant. They have a great variety of peruvian dishes and totally recommend to try the pisco sour made of chicha morada, the empanadas, paellas and ceviche. My non-peruvian boyfriend fall in love with this place and now he set up his standards of peruvian dishes based on this restaurant. We were visiting OC and for sure will come back again.

This is a little gem tucked away! We were craving paella and that’s why we decided to venture to find this restaurant! Paella had nice aromatic spices that our taste buds enjoyed! My favorite was the Yuka Fries!!! A must! Salads super generous and fresh!!! This place is tucked away, so you gotta know ahead of time it’s in a business park. Worth the food.

The menu at Inkas is a true celebration of Peruvian cuisine, featuring a wide array of traditional dishes. From the classic ceviche, bursting with fresh flavors and perfectly balanced acidity, to the hearty and comforting lomo saltado, every dish is crafted with care and attention to detail. The use of fresh, high-quality ingredients is evident in every bite.

The service was great, the atmosphere too. The portions are big. 3 stars for that. But the cuisine does not meet Peruvian standards. A bummer there was no pisco sour or anticuchos. We had the lomo saltado and the tallarin verde, it was not worth it.

From the entrance, we can feel happy, since the Latin music surrounds you with joy. The service is 1A, (since I ordered a dish and it was not what I expected, they immediately changed it to the one I thought it was and it was not on the menu, it was a jelly made of only fish and really super delicious, I recommend this restaurant 100%, the price, the taste and the kindness of the girls and the man who serve you are 100% 1A excellent. Thank you very much ☺️ for everything. And congratulations for such excellent service. We loved the food and of course we will return .⭐️

We made a reservation through Google maps for 5pm. just to make sure we got in. The outside eating area looked very cute. We were the first ones in, and they were expecting us. Jake was our server and made great recommendations. The Peruvian paella (assorted sea food, and it tasted very fresh) and arroz con pollo (rice and very tender chicken with a great sauce) were both excellent. Their Peruvian shortbread cookies were great too.

Very disappointing. My wife, daughter, and I wanted to eat here but only had an hour because of my daughter’s schedule. After more than 20 minutes, we still had not been checked on nor been able to flag someone down. We got orders in after 25 minutes and immediately asked for them to go, explaining we were pressed for time. When we got the food (15 minutes later), we had to then ask for the bill. We got the bill but nobody came for my card. To pay, I had to go up to the counter. Needless to say, service was not good and food was bland. The environment was fine, and there was free parking. Our “lunch” will now be our dinner.

Mildly disappointing starting with the fact that their food does not deliver great Peruvian fare, or for that matter, sizable amounts. The items ordered: Parihuela (Seafood soup), $20+? This one had an acceptable broth, but the other ingredients barely made the cut. Diced potatoes in this dish discredit the whole concept of the dish, an addition apparently intended to give more substance to an otherwise modest selection of ingredients. Calamari rings, which arrive prepackaged and are used just about in every Peruvian restaurant, were tasteless and chewy. As a whole this Parihuela was plain average. 3 Stars. Peruvian Paella, $20? First Paella is from Spain, a very delicate and long cooking process where saffron is basically mandatory, and the many traditional ingredients make it a monumental plate, sort of speak, if done right very delicious. This green version would be the laughing stock of Paella enthusiasts everywhere, where rice occupied 85% of the plate, and the ingredients and peas and carrots the rest. This variation lacked across the board. 2.5 Stars. Ceviche, $18.50? When asked what kind of fish, the response was Sea Bass, and one of my lovely companions disagreed entirely, but still was the best of the Trio. 3.5 Stars. Lucuma Ice Cream, $6 each? Sold everywhere and not top of the line, but certainly refreshing. 3 Stars. Chicha Morada, $3.50? Peruvian drink made from purple corn. Water was clean tasting, restrooms clean. Service was nice, turns out the staff lacked a single citizen from Peru at the time. Many seem to enjoy this place a little of the grid. 3 Stars.

Like many reviewers will mention, this is a hidden gem tucked away in an unexpected commercial area yet worth finding. This was my first time coming here and I plan to make this place my go to place for a Peruvian fix. We sat in the shade of a large oak tree which made us feel like we were out in the countryside and not surrounded by the concrete and steel. We started with a red sangria which was very refreshing and well made. We ordered the Chaufa with seafood and the classic Lomo Saltado with cilantro rice. The Chaufa with seafood is basically fried rice, but with very good portions of fresh shrimp, calamari, and strips of fish. The Lomo Salato has a wonderful, savory, meaty flavor, and the fries were perfectly cooked, so they were able to stay a little crisp yet at the same time soaked up the sauce. The cilantro rice was so good I could have eaten it on its own. We ended our meal with the bread pudding, which was a warm, thick slice served with whipped cream and topped with caramel sauce. It's very sweet with flavors of nutmeg, cinnamon, raisins, and caramel. I would recommend you enjoy it with a nice cup of coffee. The service was also impeccable. Our server Juana, was just as amazing as the food. She was very friendly and helpful when it came to menu choices. This was such a great experience that I look forward to returning soon.

Location is hidden in a business complex but this gem of a restaurant is worth it! The beef empanadas are stuffed with beef and the flaky pastry is perfectly Peruvian. Keep that spicy green sauce from the bread to dip everything in. The smoky fried rice was hot and flavorful - beef was thinly sliced but unfortunately tough.
