My wife and I stopped in for lunch today, one of our favorite restaurants. The restaurant was filthy, we were sat at a table that wasn't clean. After the table was cleaned, our drinks and salads came out, but the soda was flat and we had no silverware to eat with. After getting our silverware, my wife takes hers out of the napkin, and they were dirty. As we're walking out, the hostesses looked up from their phones, to say have a nice day! Hopefully they can get these issues fixed, because we really do enjoy Iron Hill Brewery.

Good service, fun menu, great food

Went here because my son had it in rehoboth beach and loved the French dip. Our waitress was great but the French dip was ice cold and so tough we could not chew it. They re-made them and was told the manager would bring them out fresh. Well she did not. Not one manager came and apologized or even acknowledged us. I feel bad for their waiting staff if their managers are that unsocial and unprofessional.

I love the margaritas! The buffalo wings, were a bit dry. I asked for more sauce on the side. But didn’t finish them because the pieces were huge. My favorite was the Korean Bbq wings. The were fried perfect, sauce is so good and the wings were not huge. We also tried a healthy option burger which was good and the BBQ ribs falls off the bone. So delicious!

Delicious food and great beer selection. It's great that while it's still on Main Street, it doesn't feel like a college dive filled with frat boys, which some brewery - style places can do.

Dinner on Saturday evening arrived 6 pm. Strangely a man leaving the restaurant kept telling us it was really crowded in there and good luck ? There was a decent amount of people but plenty of tables. I did not want a large meal so I ordered the crab cake sandwich with sweet potato fries. My son was surprised that I ordered it as I usually don't like to order crab cakes too far inland, I said hey.. It's Delaware. Dont order the crab cake! All filling I saw no crab! And it was mushy. Didn't really care for the fries. They looked nice but not the fries consistency you would expect with fries. I have now dined at all 3 Delaware Iron Hill restaurant. I will never eat crab cake there again. Now I know.

If not for the Voodoo Chicken Pizza & Seared Scallops Special this would’ve been a total wash. Iron Hill used to be a staple on Main Street, however recently standards have fallen. I was excited to taste their spin on a Michelada… but it fell short lacking any flavor besides tomato juice and was missing all spice. We also got the beer battered soft-shell crab app, which was literally the smallest one-biter you’ve ever seen for $17… the calamari was mainly fried diced veggies. The pizza and scallops saved the evening. However, the bathroom was another scary story…

We enjoyed our meal. We had a few appetizers that were good. Shannon our wait person was great. She was attentive but not overly so. Very friendly and patient. The manager, Dianne, checked with all the customers even those of us seating outside. Would recommend Iron Hill Brewery in Newark especially sitting outside n the summer.

Had the fish and chips and TBH I would order it again. The coleslaw was heavy with the onions, yet intriguing. Maybe some better tater sauce to take it over the top. But I will go back for sure

While there's no legal requirement for air conditioning in restaurants, a cool and comfortable environment is a big part of the dining experience. Unfortunately, the Iron Hill Brewery fell short in that department. When we arrived, the air conditioning was clearly not working, making the dining room uncomfortably hot and sticky. Staff state that the system has been down for weeks! To add to the discomfort, we also encountered a persistent fly problem. This put a real damper on our appetite and made it difficult to relax and enjoy our meal. I suspect the kitchen door is open to help ventilate the kitchen. If you're looking for a cool and inviting place to dine, you might want to skip the Iron Hill Brewery for now. Hopefully, they'll get their act together and repair their HVAC system.

My boyfriend and I were here today and we had Bella as our server. She was super friendly and very attentive. Food was awesome from the Bavarian style pretzel to my “Brewben” sandwich to my guys OMG BLT. Even the little pickles were delicious. Kudos to the chef! Due to me being super full from the pretzel, I needed a box for my sandwich! Stop in the next time you’re in Newark! You will not be disappointed!

It’s time for Iron Hill to get their act together and remodel this place and perhaps replace management staff. Our last three visits were very disappointing. Decided to try it one more time. Went there on a Sunday for lunch with a good friend. Place was almost empty. The floor was wet and slippery, Tables were sticky, and there were flies or fleas of some type. Though they had washed the floor it needs completely replaced. Disgusting. Booth are full of crumbs There was no air conditioning. The same temporary HVAC devices have been in place for at least a year. Service was good, but my friend ordered crabcake and sweet potato fries. The plate should never have been given to my friend as it had black potato fries that were obviously burnt. Server did offer to get new ones. My friend removed the black and fries and put them on another plate. The crab cake iwas not cooked inside and was very mushy and appetizing. The chef brought out the fries and she told him about the crabcake and he offered to make another. It came out and was cooked a little better but still a little mushy And very average. We were trying to enjoy our lunch so my friend just let it go. The chef came out and asked about the crabcake and she said it was OK. After our meal, the server brought the check and it first we thought that the crabcake meal had been comped. My friend asked the server to explain and she said well you ate the second crabcake. After a moment, she said I will get the assistant who came out and asked my friend to describe in detail her experience, which she did, he said he would look into it And talk to the chef. At that point, we thinking what the hell. Our server came back, dropped off another check with the meal.taken off. I am a king of the hill member and I can tell you I will not be returning to the Iron Hill in Newark. It is a dump and it seems that management is also lacking.

Stopped in for a late lunch. While it was only about 25% full; there were long waits at every stage. Two staff walked by while we stood at the hostess stand before we were seated. Despite high temps, we were not offered nor given water by the hostess. Our waitress only took our drink order after another ten minutes of waiting. One of the items ordered wasn't available, but we weren't notified, so there was a delay for a member of our party getting their food after selecting a substitution. The food itself was yummy. The BLT was a solid blend of flavors. The trio meat flatbread had generous toppings. The carnitas tacos were flavorful and filling. Sadly, the halibut was overcooked while its vegetable garnish was cold and undercooked. The draft root beer was the show stopper, definitely get a growler to go.

Iron Hill was always the go-to spot when I’d visit my friend at UDel a few years ago.. I went back recently and nothing has changed! Delicious Korean BBQ wings and burgers. A wide variety of beer for any beer lover. And a fun environment, for a nice dinner or the game!

No air conditioning, but mobile units. It smelled moldy in the restaurant, and the kitchen screwed up one of our orders.

I am so disappointed with everything in the Iron Hill Brewery in Newark, Delaware. First, the tables were sticky and dirty. Second the salad plate was dirty that I could feel the grease stick on the plate when I passed my finger on it .Third, floor bathroom was sticky and there was a bad smell inside. Fourth, I really do not recommend this place to anybody.

My wife and I ordered the Prime Rib special for Father’s Day and it was horrible. We sent it back and ordered something else and they weren’t much better. We are long time patrons of Iron Hill but I will think twice about going back.

Solid experience every time, our go-to place!

All I can say is the root beer is great

Once every few months after the memories fade and the frustrations leave we find ourselves ready and willing to order some Iron Hill! To our surprise the food has been so consistent …. You always know regardless what you order it is going to be an utter disappointment! There never seems to be anyone’s eating there… just a few older chaps drowning their sorrows at the bar (more out of place than an igloo in the Sahara) I think this trip will finally sear into my brain to always avoid this classic Newark disappointment.

We always enjoy the beer but for the last few months we come away raving about the food. Most recently my husband had the seared tuna, perfectly cooked and seasoned. I enjoyed the salmon cakes and was impressed by the vegetables that accompanied it. The staff is friendly and helpful and the specials change enough to keep us coming back to try something new.

Delicious fresh food, the crab cake sandwich was fantastic! The Iron Hill Lager was a favorite, but the Phillie Chili brew deserves an award. We really appreciate Dustin’s attentive service and Justin’s hospitality is unmatched. We will be back!

Stopped in for some apps and a beer. Quick stop. Wasn’t sure what to expect. The staff are amazing!! Manager is accommodating and informative. Apps we had were great. Great beer selection. Glad we were able to visit

Make sure you check your order while picking up take-out here. I ordered a cup of soup and this place scammed me by filling the container only halfway. To confirm that they under filled, I poured the soup into a measuring cup, and sure enough, they charged for a cup of soup while providing barely half the amount. Never giving business to this location again.

Delicious food great friendly staff and clean atmosphere

One of my favorite places for craft beer and food. Never disappointed in the food, beer, atmosphere and the servers. Had Sean tonight and was so pleased with his attentiveness!

Went with a large group, and the service and timing of courses was perfect. Great beer and cocktail options, all appetizers were delicious.

We walked in at 11:50 on Monday (President's Day) to a mostly empty restaurant. The hostess was very friendly but told us that their staff was not in yet and it would be a 10 minute wait (they open at 11 but were not yet staffed??). It was about 10 minutes and then a server wandered in with her to go cup of coffee, sat around talking for a bit and then sat us. Food was good typical to other Iron Hills I've been to. We had empty drinks for awhile. The weirdest part was that while we were waiting to be sat someone walked in and asked if they were hiring. They said, "not right now but you can fill out an online app." So they don't have enough reliable servers to seat people in an empty restaurant but they aren't hiring. I like Iron Hill but not sure I'd come back to this one if my kids choose to go to UD. It didn't give me a well run vibe.

It was nice. Our server was awesome, the food was good, the drinks were nice and the tab wasn't terrible. We'll go again. Try the cheesesteak egg rolls.

Go for the beer pass on the food.

Lovely waitress, but the most disappointing food I've ever eaten. The bean burger was a past that was falling apart as it arrived; oozing out the side. The aoli was cold and off-putting; completely ruining the burger. The $6 order of fries amounted to 11 (I counted), but were alright in taste.

Have been going to iron hill for years went last week...no heat. Went this week...no heat. Was told you dont intend to fix it til APRIL!?! With such little care for your customers or staff you have lost a weekly regular family. Will not return. Disgusting...some regulatory department should shut you down.

Good food and beer. Burger was large as expected for a double meat and nachos too. Nachos could use more than 5 pieces of chicken. Unfortunately it’s always busy and seems like table was sticky all over from previous spill.

Our visit to IronHill in Newark on last Saturday was very disappointing. We had guest from out of state so we were all together 10 people. 1.Bruschetta was overpriced. Four small pieces of Bruschetta for $10.95?? 2.We had two order of Vegetable Stir-Fry. Rice was undercooked so we couldn't eat. 3.It was freezing in restaurant. Heating does not work. 4.Nachos were OK. It came after we almost finished our main course. So food was expensive and just OK. I would not recommend this restaurant.

I would have rated higher but for a couple of issues. Apparently the heat in the restaurant is not working properly or has yet to be repaired. When the staff is wearing sweat shirts (and they are moving) you know it is not good. The table behind complained about the same twice as well. Ordered the mushroom soup which was full of flavor but it was warm. Was it the conditions of the place or just not properly heated? Our server was attentive so I do not see that her waiting to bring it out was the cause. For dinner it was braised short rib ragu over pasta (stroganoff); good, only warm and barely enough ragu (and very little meat in the sauce for a meal). I had the pork schnitzel…finally something hot. Service was very good. And the food was good but could have been very good. The restaurant was frigid. I would go back but only after the weather warms and you do not have to suffer while waiting for food.

My husband and I often visit various Ironhill locations and have for years. This visit was our most disappointing. There were 7 people crowded behind the wait desk when we arrived and yet all were slow to greet or decide on where to seat us. The dining room was absolutely frigid. We heard multiple tables complain about the cold. The manager told each table to complain to corporate and also explained that they were seated next to the window as an excuse for the cold. The dining room was fairly empty. Another customer asked why we were all seated next to the window then instead of a warmer area. Exactly! Our table wasn't completely clean. We had to finally flag down a server to give our order. She said there was confusion about server in charge. She was pleasant, but slow to react, never cleaned empty dishes from the table. We spent an hour there over a burger and cup of soup. Other patrons were good natured and politely aired their grievances to wait staff and management, but the entire experience was disappointing and not worth dessert or waiting to pay by credit card in the event that it wasted more time there. When mgmnt. came around to introduce himself early on and said to ask for him if there was any problem, we should've taken it as a sign.

Food just missed the mark. Small portions, full price, that's $6.95 worth of green beans, for the table? The beer was good, not great. Service was okay. Could be that we hit them on a bad night.

We love the food and service! Sophia, our server was exceptiona! However, It was FREEZING in the restaurant! We were here a week ago and it was freezing and thought we would try it again… still freezing. Turn the heat on, or for God’s sakes, call HVAC!

We were bar hopping this past Thursday and popped in here for a drink and a snack. Great vibe and great service! Mike was our bartender - super friendly and efficient - I got a delish glass of Penfolds Shiraz and he got a microbrew - we ended up taking a growler home of the pumpkin brew on tap. The menu looked very enticing but we weren’t that hungry so we enjoyed the Bavarian pretzel sticks with the beer cheese sauce along with a tangy mustard sauce. The pretzel sticks were cooked perfectly and I couldn’t decide which sauce was better! We loved the warm atmosphere, the wood tones of the restaurant, and the overall energy. We spoke with one of the managers on the way out and we were impressed with the knowledge of the staff and attention to detail. When in Newark, will definitely return!

Nice restaurant in the middle of main street. I always have a good meal here.

Good beer and food at fair prices - lots of space available for large groups, and also small booths for 1 or 2 people.

We wanted to go to Klondike Kate's but there were no tables available so we popped across the street to Iron Hill that has twice as much seating, if not more. So that's a plus, but it doesn't have the same cozy warmth of Kate's and isn't as much of a destination as Kate's. The service was fast and friendly and the food was good. I love hamburger salad 🥗 and I've never seen it on a menu before so this was a total surprise and it was yummy. It comes with blue cheese dressing and a hamburger patty cooked to your liking plopped whole right on top. Fantastic. There are a few shoestring potatoes, super thin and crispy and not enough to make you feel like you're doing something bad, but just enough to make you're eating something salty, crunchy and delicious.

Poor to fair service. No ketchup for the fries so I had to get that myself From the back as the waiter disappeared the first time , Then he showed up, 15 mins later so I asked for a lemon, got that about 20 minutes later after my wife had already finished her fish, didn’t get the sauteed spinach I ordered, and the waiter disappeared for a long time afain. It finally arrived, but it was stone cold, so I took it back to the kitchen myself, and they heated it up and poured about half a bottle of salt on it. Ridiculous really…The food was ‘OK’ other than that, but strangely the person who served us the food from the kitchen seemed super depressed or something like they just came from a wake or a funeral. She spoke a low dead monotone voice with no expression on her face while she served the food, it was quite was bizarre. Overall, the staff there obviously doesn’t know what the hell they’re doing and they need training badly including the kitchen manager who was just hanging out and not doing a damn thing Definitely not worth the money that’s for sure. But if you just wanna go someplace and have a beer and fries, then you won’t be disappointed fries were good but that’s about it! No way, I would have to spend another dollar here. Too bad because it has promise but it’s totally mismanaged and a waste of time and money

We came here to try the seasonal pumpkin and winter brews. Expected to have burgers, pizza or other pub food but we arrived earlier than expected, right when they opened. We weren’t quite ready for the planned fare and beer, pleasantly surprised by the brunch options. Hubby had the biscuits and gravy and I ordered the chicken and waffles. Both were excellent, savory, spicy and heartier versions of the breakfast standards and paired well with our beer selection. Friendly and knowledgeable server too.

Rarely do I leave negative reviews, but my recent trip to Iron Hill Brewery was disheartening. The service was lackluster – slow and unenthusiastic. The nachos were overpriced, and when we wanted to take the leftovers home, they were tossed away without asking. A disappointing experience overall. Not recommended.

Best fish tacos I have had for awhile. Their week end happy hour has many choices.

Booked the private room in the back a month in advance to host an important customer. Called the day before to confirm. Showed up for reservation and there was a group in the room. The manager, without apology, tells me the UD booster club has a “contract” and supersedes our reservation. We were sat at a high top and had slow service. Terrible customer experience. Not bringing clients back here.

Been coming here for years and weeks ago I was highly disappointed. My wife and I were with our 4 month son and we never got even got greeted. Waited 15 minutes while other tables around us got greeted and served. Time management is crucial when you have a baby and it felt like we were invisible. I guess next time I'll have to track down one of the 4 servers that couldn't greet us and make them aware we need service. Pathetic.

Came here for dinner with colleagues and we sat at the back. It was alright but far too hot! They never clear switched off the air conditioning that evening. Food was alright. Nothing special. My cocktail was decent though.

Very disappointed in service. I've been a long local time patron. Over 45 mins wait for dinner with 2 other people at the bar. A restaurant co-worker came in after us sat at the bar and got his food before us. The co-worker then constantly distracted the bartender while standing up and loudly telling the restaurant that the bartender sucked, which we agreed with at that point . Bartender was a nice enough guy but he never checked in or apologized for the long delay on our food, we closed out and went down the street for drinks.

Was told it would be a 4 hour wait but we could put our name in….. half of the tables were empty. Went to Chuck Lager’s instead. Will never come back here again

Have been to a couple of Iron Hill Brewery branches , in Wilmington and Philly, so kind of knew what to expect. I was unsure about a couple of drinks so was offered a taster of them, nice touch they weren’t to my liking so went with the orange creamsicle milkshake one I had had before. We ordered jumbo prawns and grits, strawberry and feta salad and calamari. It was all great with attentive service.

Well went there today for lunch with one of my best friend to try the recently hyped "New Menu". It look delicious on paper but the unfortunate thing is I don't know if it is in reality. You see we get there and the hostess seats us close to her stand and gives us menus. 10 minutes pass an no wait staff have come to our table, no hostess, nobody, nada. At about 12 minutes a waiter with a tray full of food walks 10 feet by and says I will be with you guys when I deliver this food outside. !2 minutes is our red line in the sand so we went across the street to Klondike Kates. As we were leaving I thanked the hostess for not having any wait staff come to our table and a gentleman standing there stated"what nobody greeted you" and I said no because its obvious Iron Hill Brew Pub doesn't want our money we are going across the street. So the moral of the story is, if your looking to try their "New Menu" the one they hype up on TV and newspapers dont go at lunch. And for those who were thinking maybe they were super busy, think again.

I've always liked the Iron Hill. Prior to this we used to visit the location at the Wilmington Riverfront and still do on occasion. Service was great, good tasted good. For three of us it was just over $60, though my wife and I got salads. My son got the pub burger and fries with a french onion soup, and we got an order of wings.

We just left the Newark DE location. We are in town for a hockey tournament. I set a reservation for 35 last week. We showed up early and they welcomed us. Food was great service was excellent. Although we prefer bills to be separated by jersey number, Bills were broken down by table it worked out ok. Would definitely comeback.

Checked Trip Advisor for Northeast, MD. #4 came up in Newark. Wife and I were heading home from the beach. Wed Summer, 2:00 lunch. Looked at the menu. Set my Waze. Parked right on 273. Main St. Very impressive facility. We both got the Country Schnitzel. Really incredible meal. Did I mention $20 Schnitzel with bacon gravy and garlic! Really good mashed potatoes, Greens were sauteed greens (spinach and garlic)! Management was on it, waiter trained and excellent service. Had a realy great IPA. Top notch experience. Came home and found out that they have one 40 minutes from my house...so I'll be there. But the Newark facility will get my money everytime we drive close to there.

Awesome food, craft beer and staff. Quite the excellent find.

Went by the reviews and glad we did. You couldn’t tell from the front of the place but the inside was big and spacious. The weight stuff was very friendly and the food was delicious. I had the Mediterranean wrap which came with fries was delicious. We had the pretzel as appetizer which was also very good and my daughter had a cheeseburger I came with fries was also very good.

Overpriced subpar tiny bar food. 45 min wait for cold two orders of tacos, a hard dry flat bread & a soggy chicken sandwich. Tacos came with a side of plain unseasoned white minute rice. Waitress took forever to serve the food then snatched up our plate before we could even get our final expensive bites of food. It was not that busy for a Friday evening should have been our family’s first clue. Non-drinkers so going to a “brewery” was our mistake for our final “dress up” night of our vacation. 16 & 19 year old kids left hungry & disappointed.

Beer is good but there is a lot to improve on the food in my opinion. For the positive points, nachos were very good and all the ingredients to prepare meals as well. For the negative ones, the Magherita pizza was salted, it was too much. The crust of pizza was like fried and pretty hard. The sweet potato fries were very soft whereas we expected it to be crunchy, maybe due to there thickness. The onions in the breaded onions were barely cooked. Other than that, the waiters were very nice, the atmosphere very good and the service quite fast. The payment method with mobile is very convenient.

Pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem. The overall experience was fantastic and our server Cole was the star of the show. Friendly and knowledgeable about the menu selections and offered helpful advice about the drink menu. Our meals arrived timely and to order. The bangers and mashed were a little overdone but it's a difficult dish to deliver perfectly every time. We will absolutely be back and would definitely recommend to friends and family.

The food was just ok and our waitress wasn't great. She would disappear for long periods of time, and they weren't even busy. We waited 20 mins after asking for the check, to actually get the check. There are too many options on Main Street to force going back here.

I tried the beer sampler plate . It ranges from the porter to the stout . Beers are tasty, with a fruit note and a great after taste. The porter has roasted coffee notes with a hint of dark chocolate and an after note of toffee. The vienna is more on the toasted malt and light caramel notes with a clean finish . The light beer is light refreshing but with a dry finish. The stout has notes of roasted coffee with a malty sweet taste and also has a dark chocolate taste.

Iron Hill has great food and really GREAT beer. The prices do reflect the quality, but you get every penny's worth. The beer is largely brewed on-site, and varies depending on season and whim. It's not all to one taste, but there's something for everyone.

Right on the main street of the area. In the heart of the University of Delaware. We were there for mothers day and my mom wanted a strawberry short cake. She ordered the pancakes, added whipped cream and strawberries, and created her own version. She was so happy. We sat outside. The inside is bigger than it looks from the outside. The food was good and our server was very pleasant.

Ordered Caesar salad with chicken. Salad greens were old under green top layer. Some of the chicken wasn't cooked completely and the croutons were stale. We don't eat out much and this was extremely disappointing. Won't be back.

Last evening was a horrible experience we waited 45 minutes just for soup and salad and it was Not Busy at all I ordered blueberries and goat cheese salad what I finally got was a salad with a sliced rotten pear on top they tried to hide the rotten piece but I pushed it with my fork first. The fish and chips was disgusting fish was rubbery and the batter was tasteless fries over cooked. We asked for a manager and that took forever when he did show up was totally unprofessional didn’t care and when I said rotten apple he corrected me and said pear!! Later another women came by as a manager and she listened and apologized and gave us a card for a free meal but as she is talking too us she was interrupted for another customer complaint!! This was a nightmare we have been customers since it first opened and always had great service and food WHAT HAPPENED????

Pub burger was fantastic. Cooked perfectly. Cheesesteak eggrolls are the best i have ever had. Loved this place.

Open until midnight but don’t want to cook anything but pizza. I’m not a college kid and if I wanted pizza I would have went to the pizzeria not a full blown restaurant

The food is quite good and prices are on par with other restaurants in the area. We did have two "hair incidents" but they were rectified. The real kicker is the staff! They are fantastic and go out of their way to help, even when very busy. Definitely a stop!

A cockroach walked across our booth. We killed and told the server. While the manager apologized, they didn’t offer a free meal, drink, or anything. Then they gave a spoon with the meal that had dried ice cream on it. Dirty, gross place - overpriced as well.

My friends recommend me to have their fried sweet potato. It was great and other dishes I had was super fresh. I will visit here again definitely.

Stopped by for lunch after driving for 6 hours and had a great meal. The Baja fish tacos were fresh and crispy and my coworkers pork belly sandwich looked great. Service was fast and restaurant was clean.

Disappointed🙁 went to Iron Hill on Main st.right near the University of Delaware for happy hr yesterday—this was my the first time at the restaurant . When I walked in, I was the only person of color in the entire bar area and as far as I could see. Despite the not being busy and me sitting in the middle in plain sight, My service was not as good as others around me. I was about to leave because of how slow it was for me to get a waiter and once I got my food I asked for a second drink with two waiters that a passed by and Never got it . The manager even asked if I wanted the check and I said I was waiting for my second drink and it never came . Needless to say I left unhappy and told everyone about my experience they must do better With equity to get my business again.

Cute and cozy restaurant. I enjoyed their fish and chips and Philly cheese steaks. They also have a neat selection of beer that you can match with the food. The service was excellent, but I'd expect bigger portions of food given the prices.

Can be slow, but depending on the server, can make it worthwhile

Cauliflower crust pizza is a great-tasting alternative. The Winter Warmer with cinnamon was fantastic. All the different brews I had here were good. Staff were always helpful and friendly.

I love iron Hill but when someone drops a take home container on the floor the picks it up and places it one the counter to be used, I have problem with it. Yes I have a picture of the person.

Ordered salmon salad with a side of shrimp through door dash. There was no salmon on the salad and they charged 10 dollars for 5 shrimp. Will not order again.

the menu changed again.... they only have like 3 things to order at the happy hour menu and is only at the bar. plus they raised the prices AGAIN ! its overpriced and small portions. I recomend the burgers,BLT and trio pizza . Happy hour prices should be honor at the whole restaurant not everyone enjoys sitting so close to people at the bar and so loud !

Not my gig to write reviews, but thought is was warranted. Stopped in IHB Newark on Monday 1/16 for lunch with my wife and three adult children. This is how it went: Asked for a table for five adults, got a table for four. I took care of grabbing another chair and we asked the waiter for a fifth plate. No big deal. She sat us in the back of the restaurant where construction was taking place directly overhead. Real noisy. The waiter took out order which went very well, been nice if his zipper was up. I ordered a wedge and seafood bisque. The lettuce was brown on the edges and the Bisque was not a bisque. I resembled colored water with seafood on the bottom. When the order arrived I had to retrieve utensils from the adjacent table so we could eat. Five sets. The food was delivered to the table as it was prepared. I would prefer they serve the food all at once. Awkward. Table seemed dirty and sticky. The venue was freezing. I read the thermometer across from our table. It was 63 degrees. Need to eat hot food quickly. During the whole dining experience we were swatting house flies and what appeared to be gnats away from our face. I noticed other customers doing the same. The staff was friendly and courteous, I think with a good clean up and some remedial training IHB Newark, I know, can return to the fabulous restaurant that I fondly remember!! Best Regards

Food and service were great as always. Glad to see some new stouts on the beer menu.

Dropped in on Thanksgiving eve and had a marvelous meal. Our waitperson, Abby was very busy, but she was attentive and friendly, she never missed a beat. We enjoyed the scallops, which has become a favourite and the Brewben sandwich. The standout item were the mushroom and brie egg rolls. OMG!!!!!! Absolutely decadent. We love Iron Hill for it's quality and consistency. Benefits of the King of the Hill club is icing on the cake.

Friendly waitstaff, great food, good beer selection!! Convenient walk from UD campus. Loved the pretzels and cheese!!

Absolutely terrible service. The food is good… when you don’t have to wait 20 minutes before you go to the hostess to ask if a server is available. They sent the server out and she made several mistakes and after we were done and waited another 20 minutes, I had to go back to the hostess and ask if our server could PLEASE give us the check so we could pay and leave. It’s not like they were short staffed. Just terrible service.

Poor scheduling. Did not honor open table reservation. Other wise great experience when we came back at 10 PM.

Decent food at a decent rate. It was my friend birthday and even tho they stated they don't sing happy birthdays they very much did so to my enjoyment. Good times good people. Highly recommend. And I rarely give 5 stars

Great beer and food!! Excellent Octoberfest and Punkin ale. Pairs well with the humus platter.
