We just arrived, paid for the parking, and saw this sign on their door: CLOSED… without any updates on google maps??? so professional (!) I will never ever come to this place again!

I felt like I was in Istanbul! For the reference, I’ve stayed in Istanbul at least a few months overall and have dined out many times in there. If you’re into Middle Easterner food, you Must try this place. I’d certainly go back there for lunch or dinner. Last but not least, the prices are really reasonable for the excellent quality and the quantity.

I order from this place often, this time I looked at the menu on the website and saw this photo of cheese borek that looked yummy and interesting, but when I got the food I was very surprised at what I got ( see the pictures).. very misleading. Authentic Turkish food. We came here for breakfast twice. Got the royal breakfast and dolmas. Also the cheese plate and the yoldaş plate. Everyone in our group loved their food and hospitality.

The interior is very comfortable and it was a nice touch of authenticity to see Turkish patrons there. The bread was so, so very good - tender and warm and fresh. I ordered the Sultan’s delight, a pureed eggplant with lamb chunks. I liked the roasted tomatoes and peppers that were on top. I also tried a dessert that was like a birds nest of phyllo dough, drenched in honey and filled with pistachios. It was very sweet, but also good, and with a pleasant texture. The dessert portion was very generous. I would return.

The food was too salty. I ordered Doner which the meat was not fresh. Also I ordered fries and it tasted very bad it seems that the oil was not fresh. Also, the cuisine had mandatory charge of 4% on credit cards and 18% gratuity. The atmosphere was ok.

I have come here multiple times, and each time, the food quality worsened compared to the past. The kabobs are overly salty, garnished with no authentic ingredients (fries on the top of donar?!). Also, I was not too fond of the fact that tip is included already while they ask for extra tips in the receipt, hoping to double charge the customers. It doesn't represent well Turkish food.

I used to go before the pandemic and liked it but oddly, the food is better than before. Iskander is wonderful.

Absolutely wonderful Turkish restaurant just outside Davis Square. Definitely my favorite Turkish restaurant, and one of my all-time favorite restaurants, in the Boston area. The star of the show is the food, which is beautifully prepared and has many options for a wide variety of diets. Just go already!

My time as a customer here ended as quickly as it started! If you wanna gamble wether you’re eating or not today, order here! I discovered this place & ordered 3 times this week here, perfect food. Kofte was perfect, rice was soft and fluffy. Today I placed 2 orders and boy I regret it! Instead of the soft moist kofte I got black dry kofte with a burned crust! The rice was RAW! Never in my life has a restaurant served me such undercooked rice. It looked overdone on the outside, but once you ate it it was hard and raw in the middle, which tells me they boiled it fast. On one of the plates there was not even a tablespoon salad. I had told my husband about this place, so today he decided to try it out too, but instead he got the worst food of his life. Even if we could somehow eat the burned kofte, we had nothing to eat it with as the rice was raw. Mistakes can happen, but to serve paying customer bad food so it doesn’t go to waste is abhorrent. I wanted to give them a chance to remedy the situation, so I called. I explained the issues with my order but the owner/manager was rude and wouldn’t accept it. I even offered him to send a driver to pick up and see it for himself, I even offered to bring the food there since it was going to trash anyway, but he would just not accept any fault. In the end he yelled at me “What do you want? You want your money back?” And I said “No, keep it, you just lost 2 customers”. I will not give my business to someone dishonest! Customers are not your trash cans. We pay for our food with hard earned money. Next time something is done bad, throw it out.

Everything is terrible I am from Istanbul I saw the sign and joined the store. I missed my culture but the foods are terrible. If u wanna try Turkish cuisine there are better options in Massachusetts close to this location. That night I order something but I couldn’t eat them after that I had to go to the other store to eat real meal

I came this afternoon, the waitress was very friendly and nice. Food portions are smaller than they before, but still tasty.

My family chose this place for a birthday dinner, and we really enjoyed ourselves. We sampled appetizers and shared our entrees all around. The portions are generous and all the food was delicious. I had never had Turkish food before, and I was pleasantly surprised with its flavor without spiciness. The waitress was attentive and charmed us with her smiles. We are out of town but hope to return for another meal sometime.

Food is delicious. We had a baked baby eggplant with meat stuffing which came with thick creamy luscious yogurt. Get this! They provide warm complimentary bread with a garlicky red purée. So good. For entrees, we had the kofte and a bean stew. We loved every bite. Look forward to returning to work our way through the menu.

This is a favorite place of ours in the area. Great for bunch, lunch, or dinner! The laz pancakes with eggs and meat is great! For lunch and dinner I always get the Kuru Fasulye, also great!

What we ordered was very good. Several menu items were not available which was a bit frustrating, and was not explained but we didn't ask more about it either. Turkish beer was gone, wine was "light", two of the main entrees were not available. It's a very tiny place, with really cozy front window seats. I'd give it another chance; maybe on a Friday night rather than a Sunday afternoon.

This review isn’t regarding the food, but rather this restaurants horrible customer service. On their website, they clearly state a delivery option. However, on the day I placed a delivery order they decided not to do delivery that day because of the storm. Instead of calling to let me know that we’re only doing pick up, they let the food sit cold until I called to see what’s going on. i had given a large delivery tip given the storm, so i asked for a refund of the delivery tip. The restaurant told me I needed to go through a third party menu because they couldn’t give me a “cash refund”. When the third party menu tried to get a refund on my behalf, they refused it and told me I needed to drive back to get my delivery tip back in cash, basically waiting until I was far enough away from the restaurant that I couldn’t safely return back given the weather. All in all, the most disappointing customer service experience I’ve had in a long time. My meal was the eggs cooked in garlic butter with which I had the zucchini fritters, and the spinach cooked with yoghurt beschamel. I did feel the yoghurt components of the spinach and zucchini fritters plates overwhelmed the dishes’ flavors but I just scraped it off.
