The meal was excellent, but the staff needs to smile more. Especially the staff standing behind the bar. They looked as if they did not want to be there!

New to this area Italian Grill was recommended by family. It did not disappoint food was delicious service was great too

Really upset! I am not a food critic but I was born and raised in Italy and this restaurant is not authentic Italian food! Not very kid friendly for families spent a lot of money to sit outside with flies even though there was plenty of empty table inside we were forced to sit outside since we didn’t have a reservation!!! I have to say that our waitress was very nice at least and kitchen was fast which means that food is probably not made fresh! I never seen a Margherita with crushed tomatoes on it and I am from Napoli! I didn’t complain because I am not the type but for the price they charged you were expect fresh ingredients and real Italian food! My first and last time to this place. Ciao!

Italian Grill is always on point! Tonite we went in after 12 hour drive in pouring rain. Ellen and the other staff members went above and beyond to make everything special. It was sister's birthday. I can't thank them enough for making everything perfect! For them it's standard operating procedure, but for us it was comfort food and a warm inviting family welcome back to Vero. Thank you!

Amazing italian food. This place will be on my stop list every time we visit florida. Aerial the server was amazing with my kids. On my latest visit i had the chicken francese. Best francese i have ever had.

Calamari was great, soup was great, fettuccine Alfredo tasted like burnt garlic and the eggplant rollatini was good, but a bit thin. Been there before, gave it another try and it's about the same for $50 for two dinners

Went with family. First visit. Madison took good care of us. Food was all good but my pasta had a lot of water in the bottom of the bowl from not being drained enough. Great sauce though and plenty of calamari. Everyone else enjoyed theirs. Wonderful to find spumoni and it was quite delicious. Prices were reasonable. A bit loud but that was probably due to everyone trying to talk over the drunk at the next table. Hopefully, next time it will be cooler weather and we’ll sit outside.

The quality of food went down. We had chicken Parmesan the chicken was pound paper thin and tough. The service was awful. Again the noise level is uncomfortable Oliveri garden has better food

Food was worse I've ever had in Vero. Calamari was overcooked and super hard. I had the sampler and it tasted like they used really bad tomato sauce. The cheeses are bad and I don't know how you can mess up italian sausage, but it was some of the worst i've ever had. I never post bad reviews, but this was exceptionally bad we. Left, we left a tip, but we will not be back. Not worth your money.

My husband and I came with Best Choice Window Cleaning for their annual dinner. EVERYTHING was amazing!!! I couldn’t stop eating the garlic bread and had to or I would have been stuffed. The creamy garlic salad dressing was excellent! I had lasagne and he had manicotti- we gave each other a sample because it was that good!! We had the tomato mozzarella caprese for an appetizer and we split a cannoli for dessert. I’ve been telling everyone to go here!

Great, authentic Italian cuisine! The bread, veal & chicken parmesan were great, and the Calamari was so fresh & tender! I love that they don't skimp the cheese too! Thank You Italian Grill family!

Still the best in town! Good Italian food with great service. Full bar available. Friday and Saturday nights can get busy. Actually, most nights can get busy. If you don't want to wait, come early. If you don't mind waiting, you can always get a drink from the bar while you wait.

There's no smoking inside the fence area outside of the restaurant. But they will place a chair outside of the fenced area upwind of the people eating outside. It completely ruined my dinner. I

For the same money you would pay at a crummy Olive Garden you will get way better food here. Idk why I have even been eating Italian elsewhere. Great food, simple as that.

Absolutely disgusted with the owner Willie and the staff I worked there for almost a year always got my shifts covered always smiled at all the guest employees, etc. they went above and beyond to make my life very miserable. I have an autistic son they went above and beyond to get me out of there because other servers who have worked there 20 years didn’t like me and Willie for some reason didn’t like me even though I’ve got plenty of compliments on yelp, it’s just a really sad world when you get fired for absolutely nothing. I would have to give this place an absolutely zero star If I could. I have never in my life left a review on a place I’ve worked before, but this place I would never give a single penny to because anybody that goes above and beyond to fire someone that’s trying to provide for their son in today’s world and economy is just Despicable, and the fact that they like to run the cameras back and make fun of people! When one of the servers decided to quit because everybody’s so tighten it everybody else was showing everybody the footage and laughing pretty sad!!!!! The food might be decent, but just think twice about who you’re giving your money to and how they treat other people!!! After I get fired for absolutely no reason ironically was in the hospital three days before got my shift covered but now he won’t even allow me to collect unemployment so me and my son And I can survive I would never give a penny to this company!!!!! I’ve never been treated with such disrespect cattiness, and in the end Him not even allowing me to collect unemployment! Wow!!!!!! Sad!

The food here is fresh, authentic, and so delicious! They will make any dish you want as long as they have the ingredients. What Italian restaurant offers that? I have been here a few times and I am never disappointed. The last time we went we took the in-laws who enjoy a great dish with a cask of wine. They were not disappointed. We were seated right away even though they appeared very busy. Our server was pleasant and knowledgeable. She gave great recommendations to us all and none of us were disappointed. I highly recommend this restaurant if you fancy real Italian.

Great food and service hidden jem.

It was a retirement celebration for a good friend And we had a private booth which was perfect. Our waitress was very good offering the days, specials and expert opinion regarding my questions. The food was delicious, perfect temperature, And large portions. A great time was had by all.

First we entered and immediately got a table and menus. Waitress right on got our drinks and delivered asap. On target for getting our order placed and within minutes got our salad and bread. Then the meal came…. IT WAS AMAZING!!! Taste 100% on target for Italian flavors. Presentation was full on it plates. Then we ate…. HELLO FLAVOR AND SO GOOD!!! We added this place to our “must do list” every time we visit Vero which of 1-2x a year. You must go here!!!!! From one Sicilian Italian to another, this is no joke on Italian home good cooking

My husband and I stopped in to order carry out on the way home from the beach. The staff was so friendly that we decided to eat at the bar. We shared the Pizza Margherita and Shrimp & Scallop Pomodoro. Both were delicious and much better than a more expensive Italian restaurant we had previously tried in Vero. The salted caramel martini was to die for. The staff were terrific. We'll definitely be back!

The waitress was very knowledgeable about gluten free food. They basically told me to choose whatever I wanted and they would make it gluten free.

The food was excellent: We had lasagna and Italian sausage/rigatones. Also, the creamy garlic salad dressing was awesome (heard others agree). The service was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect (similar to some favorite Italian restaurants in the Northeast). Considering the quality and the size of the portions-- the prices were very reasonable.

If it's Italian food you're looking for this is the place to go. My aunt and uncle had their 50th anniversary there. The service the food everything was spectacular. I had the Italian dinner sampler. It had sausage a meatball. Eggplant rollatini. Stuffed shells. And I ate it all lol 🙂

It took two hours to get our food BOTH times we ate here. Food is great, waitress was nice, but it is SO slow.

Only thing I’m mad about is that’s it’s taken us so long to finally eat here!! I had a feeling it was at least decent since it’s always busy but I was not expecting our last minute impromptu search for food tonight to turn into one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a while. Best pasta fagioli. I’d buy it by the gallon and service was perfection. Ariel was our server, loved her. We will definitely be back and bringing company.

Visiting the town and discovered this good family restaurant with several delicious variations to choose from the menu. We are definitely going back to try some of the other savoury dishes.

It was difficult trying to enjoy a birthday dinner while the waiter was rushing us along. We are long time patrons there, and to ask for a birthday dessert, we were told it would have to be in a box. If you're wondering if we were abusing the time, no. We were allotted 1 hr. I, nor my family will be back soon. Was an awful feeling to spend that much money only to be treated that way. May be time to find another favorite Italian restaurant.

Great family owned restaurant. Izzy is a great server and friendly. The staff was nice. The food was fantastic, it is like your Italian Mama is cooking dinner for you. The sea salt caramel gelato is so delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone for a great dinner. Keep up the great work.

Had the worst dinner. We have been going to the Italian Grill for over 10 years. Something has changed. We were rushed to order, rushed to clear the table. The food also was cooked in hast, filled with oil. Nothing like it used to be. Be where they have switch to quantity vs. quality. Very sad we used to love this place, will not be back.

My wife and I moved to Vero Beach from Northern VA last summer and have heard nothing but great reviews for this place. Well, we finally sat down for a meal this evening and we were both incredibly disappointed. I had the chicken parmigiana and my wife had the chicken francese. Both meals were terrible...probably the worst so called Italian food we've ever had. First off both meals were bland...no (Italian) seasoning what-so-ever. My chicken tasted like it came out of a bag of frozen cutlets. The cheese on top of the chicken and tomato (paste...yep...could not have been sauce) looked like they threw two slices of cheese on top of the chicken and didn't even melt it completely. The tomato sauce (again...no seasoning) tasted like it came out of the can. My wifes meal tasted like it had been soaked in lemon juice. The pasta in both meals was undercooked. Way overrated and overpriced. Our meal was $78.00 (included one glass of wine each). Neither one of us could finish our meal. Paid the bill and left. I will say that our waitress, Chris, was good, fast and efficient. We'll never go back and will never recommend this place to anyone.

I have been craving spaghetti and for the past two months could not find anything really good. My husband and I are moving from South Carolina to Florida and this little place was just up the road. The spaghetti with meatballs and meat sauce was outstanding. I tried to get my husband to go back today so I could have leftovers for a few days but he just wouldn't. Absolutely nothing bad about the service or atmosphere but it wasn't like WOW to rate 5 stars but it was most definitely good.

We went for the first time last Friday night. Had to ask for utensils and napkins and waitress seemed annoyed. Never received a drink refill and the kicker the spicy sauce was so spicy it was not edible, waitress said she spoke to the owner and he suggested to add more tomato sauce. BUT the spicy was the top and no way you can cover it up. I was offered a free dessert ( I did not expect) . My suggestions first ask if your party has ever eaten at your restaurant. Second, explain how spicy the spicy sauce is. Third, offer to make a new dish if someone is not happy. Also instead of just pointing to the specials, explain them. Take a few minutes to make your guest feel welcome, offer suggestions.

Friendly attentive staff. Food is good and they will Taylor it to your reasonable request. Their creamy garlic parm salad dressing is a must with their bread. Plus they have indoor and outdoor seating to get everyone sat quickly.

Sadly, another one of go to places is coming off our list due to poor service. Tonight's experience: "Is it ok to bring salad before appetizer?" One guest said yes so it was too late for me to say no. Not how it works. Appetizer. Calamari. Would have said something about it being a bit over fried but our server never returned to check on how it was. Not one refill on water, which is a small glass to start with full of ice. Had to ask another server to help us out. Main courses served on table before clearing salad and appetizer plates. I made a comment. No ask if we needed refills or another beer (non- alcoholic) when main course served. Not even a "do we need anything else?" Never returned to ask how the main courses were. That is a complete fail as a server. Totally unacceptable. Returned when we were done eating to a simple, "ready for boxes?" That would have been the time to ask about dessert and I might have been interested. Now I was just annoyed. Boxes delivered and now the ask about dessert....... Bags for the boxes were put on the table, no "can I bag these for you?" While I was waiting for the check, I watched the booth next to us being bussed. The table was wiped down and the dirty rag placed on a chair. The bussing bin was placed on the booth seat, filled with dirty dishes and removed. The next guest sat down on whatever was on the bottom of the bin.and the rag. Poor training and just plain gross to think I probably was sitting in the same situation. Anyone who has been here knows its popular and always busy. But yet there are empty tables. That is because I think they pay more attention to the take out orders than the in house guests. This was a Thursday, I can only imagine a Friday or Saturday. Vero has grown so much in the last two years I am afraid that the Italian Grill couldn't keep up. Yes, I know staffing is a problem everywhere. Train the staff you do have to do the job right. Atmosphere is totally ruined with the constant take out business. Sad to see one of my favorite dishes in town go at a place I have frequented dozens of time, but there are plenty of options in Vero for good food and good service. Time to move on. I'll end on a positive note. Thank you for not putting the cash or credit bs on the check.

I made a lot of mistakes at this restaurant. I came with a party of 10. I had four crazy children, made crazier by a zoo trip and lack of sleep. And I ordered the Penne Arribiata, which was much spicier than I expected. That was my fault, and that’s why I gave them 4 stars. Otherwise, because of the uncomfortable outdoor seating and weirdly pre-oiled garlic bread, it would have been less. The waiter was good, but the host made us feel like a burden. Not great.

This place is overrated. Don’t expect your server to hear you when placing your order. I ordered the Alfredo and I told our server to add Shrimp. Which by the way to add any type of protein they charge $8 plus. When our food arrived the Alfredo had chicken and the server disappeared after putting our food down. When she finally came to check on us and asked if everything was good I told her I ordered shrimp, not chicken. She stated she heard chicken and instead offered us a to go box…. $80 dollars later and we left SUPER disappointed with the service and the food. If you do decide to go get ready to flag your waiter down. Also, make sure you have them repeat your order because they will not correct their mistake even after bringing it up to their attention.

This place is fantastic! The wait staff, the owner, the food and the atmosphere are all top notch! If you are in the area and looking for some amazing Italian food, definitely stop in…and be sure to finish off your meal with a cannoli! You will not be disappointed!

Very good italian food. We ordered Pasta Fagioli, Ravioli, Veal Amore, Chicken and Sausage Grill, and Chicken Grill. Everything was very tasty and large portions. The only complaint is that the veal dish was a bit heavy on the sauce and the salads that were included with the meal were a little heavy on the dressing. Would definitely go back but maybe ask for less sauce and dressing on the side! If you’re looking for Italian food while visiting the area, this is a good choice!

Today for the first time I visit this restaurant, and I'm leaving with the worst impression. You can't call it an Italian restaurant. The pasta was not al dente. The Soup It looked like a cream, the vegetables chopped in a coarse way. The most incredible thing is that it is full.

Great service, but the meal I ordered was horrible

Went to this cute little restaurant for dinner tonight, and was pleasantly surprised with my meal. The garlic dressing for the salad was super tasty, my pasta was absolutely delicious, I can't remember what I got, sadly. My boyfriend ordered a veal pasta, he thought the veal might have been previously frozen, because it had a weird taste and texture. But other than that, it was overall a nice meal.

On Father’s Day.. we were very happy .. after a short wait we were able to get a table for Another GREAT meal!! Panko encrusted Mahi with risotto was DELICIOUS! Fresh and perfect crispness vs tenderness.. such a flavorful risotto.. and he again LOVED the Veal Parmigiana !! Every meal, every time.. completely wonderful!! Thanks for the GREAT service AND PRICES TOO! Dad came to visit beginning of June and have to say.. amazingly Great food!! Fantastic smooth tomato sauce… everything is so fresh! Service and prices are excellent too!! Love dining here regularly! Ps: minestrone soup is super delicious!! Mahi Special is also very good! Our first visit, just moving here in 2020 and we found this GEM!! Willie and his crew give it all they got with the flavors of Northern Italy!! Love the smooth tomato sauce.. i ask for extra because i LOVE IT!! Nice wine selection too! This has become a hometown favorite and we have brought all our friends and family here for fantastic dinners every time! Everyone is so helpful and really look like they like working there! After seeing the reviews on Trip Advisor, we decided to give this place a try. As promised, the food was delicious! It was very busy too, early on a Friday evening which is also a good indication that the food is delicious (and reasonably priced)!

Thankyou for a predictable, tasty Italian supper with my family. The buzz is to enjoy true cooked and authentic flavored ethnic foods. I lvoe the creamy garlic salad dressing and the fresh ovened bread with my salad. The back room was quiet and offered us family conversations and excellent service by Brittany Serivce. My chicken picatta was spot on and arrived in eye pleasing appeal. The chicken and the sauteed noodles combined for an amazing taste. Finally real brewed tea nad on point refills were provided without asking. Two of us had the Seafood "Pescatore" featuring shrimp, scallops, mussels, clams and calamari sautéed with garlic, olive oil and Italian seasonings with white sauce over linguini pasta. My son Sean had the Grilled "Mediterranean" - Chicken, Shrimp and Italian sausage seasoned and grilled with red and green peppers and onions and served over skillet linguini. All 5 meals were excellent and satisfying as was the hearty creamy garlic salad. The compliment to our meal was the service. It was efficient& our server was very personable and made the seamless service feel commonplace. We eat here 30 times a year and have always felt entertained and fed true Italian dishes. Welove the Italian grill as our local "Go To' restaurant. Amazing that the owners are their every night to welcome you the pampered customer.

If you like Italian food you will love this place

We went here for a birthday dinner. There were 5 adults and 3 teens. The table would have been just right for 6 people. The server was very friendly but rushed and all over the place. We had a variety of food, some tasted packaged, and other dishes tasted fresh, but had that microwaved or sat under the heat lamp too long texture. The food overall was 3 stars (good) The service was 2.5-3 stars... ie, we got the food. The atmosphere was acceptable. The cost was $259... 2 apps, 5 entrees, 3 root beers, and 5 glasses of wine. Water refills came only after repeated requests. I went to the hostess station and paid the check and tip. When I returned to the table, a single slice of chocolate cake was ordered for the birthday person... then a check was brought for the single slice of birthday cake! Nearly $300 for ok dinners, barely acceptable service... then charged for a single slice of Sysco cake! Would I recommend this restaurant? There's nothing special, and it certainly wouldn't be my first choice as a recommendation. We travel far more than the average couple and eat in restaurants ~8 times a week.

Three of us had an excellent dinner at The Italian Grill recently. Two of us had the Seafood "Pescatore" featuring shrimp, scallops, mussels, clams and calamari sautéed with garlic, olive oil and Italian seasonings with white sauce over linguini pasta. I had the Grilled "Mediterranean" - Chicken, Shrimp and Italian sausage seasoned and grilled with red and green peppers and onions and served over skillet linguini with a side of minestrone soup. All 3 meals were excellent and satisfying as was the hearty soup! The only drawback was the service. It was efficient but our server was not very personable and didn't go out of his way to make us feel welcome.

This is a “Family” run operation. It’s right out of Little Italy. The lasagna and Caesar salad is very tasty. Likely the best authentic and affordable Italian food in Vero Beach.

We arrived at 4 o’clock and the door was locked. The outside was worn out and filthy. As I approached the door I noticed how dirty the Front door was. A red flag for me. Once seated as I scanned the interior of the dining room another red flag. Everything was old, worn and dirty including the dinnerware I then had to use the restroom and omg I got the willies at how nasty it was and I was thinking how am I going to be able to eat here with four other guests. I returned to my table and stood behind my seat. Everyone at my table looked at me and said what’s wrong. I said I was leaving. The food was acceptable but not 4 or 5 stars according to the remaining members of my party who brought my food home in a carry home package. I had a hard time eating the food while visualizing the filth that I had experienced.

The food is delicious. The setting is very relaxing. They offer indoor and outdoor dining.

My Home State Before I Moved To Florida Was Rhode Island We Have A Large Population Of Residents With Italian Descent and Many Fantastic Italian Restaurants The Italian Grille Reminds Me Of My Italian Restaurants Back Home In Rhode Island. Food and Service Were Excellent.

We expected a lot from the number one Italian restaurant in Vero. While the staff are friendly, the service quick, and the portions very generous we were overwhelmed by the fact that every course, be it garlic bread, bruschetta, Caesar salad, and ravioli were loaded with salt. It was overpowering. Maybe it is because I'm English and we're not used to so much salt. On the plus side, the huge portions enabled most patrons to leave with big doggy bags. We will not be back.

It is iconic in the area. Friends meet friends and more friends, and enjoy the feeling of the 100s of Italian places all over the five boroughs in the early to late 60s. The food is amazing. IF you like garlic (is there anyone who does not?🤭) this is THE place - caprese, pasta fagioli, and the Angel Hair Vidali were well seasoned with nature's best "flowering plant' - garlic. Wrap the warmth and friendship with tasteful, diverse, almost artistically prepared food choices together with a group of people honestly seeming to enjoy making others happy: the staff. You can spend hours looking for better - and likely never find it. Go. Enjoy. Close your eyes. Breathe deep. A smile comes out - and stays out for a long time. Relax. Enjoy. 👍

"fresh pasta" not made from scratch, dried store-bought pasta 😳 no fresh grated parmesan or Romano cheeses 😳 and no the store bought isn't as good, but that being said🍷 the food was very good and the sauce and veal were excellent 👍 we look forward going back 🪷 blessings 🪷

Fantastic authentic Italian at a reasonable price

We visit here every time we come south from Massachusetts. It has a real traditional Italian feel. Clicken parmigiana cooked just right. Seafood medley dish was tremendous. Love the carafe of wine. Tiramisu is the best I’ve had. Friendly staff.

Authentic Italian cuisine. 🐟🍝 🍲 soup for the soul. One of my favorite local spots. The lighting inside is perfect makes you feel comfortable. They are always very busy and for good 😊 reason. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
