my family and I came to Vashon just to meet Iyad and try his food! my grandpa is from Syria and it was so sweet to see them interact and connect. the food was incredible and Iyad and his family are so sweet and kind. definitely pay them a visit if you're in the area! it is a food truck so we ate in the park across the street. great vegan / vegetarian option!

I went to a work event yesterday that was catered by Iyad's Syrian Grill. The food was so, so delicious. I tried a little bit of everything (shawarma chicken, gyro sliced lamb, falafel, Syrian rice, Iyad's salad, dolmas, hummus, and more). Every bite was delicious and the food was clearly cooked with love. I highly recommend.

Worth every penny. Phenomenal flavors and care are in this food!

This Is the only regular food truck on Vashon Island as far as I can tell, having lived here for 2 years. It is located in the parking lot next to Vashon Town Square. The staff is friendly and attentive and cooks the food to order right in front of you. I'm watching as my lunch is being prepared and it smells so good. They are from the typical management. I need food that you would come to expect from any Mediterranean restaurant including falafel, shawarma, gummas, and backlava. This is fast from the service and quality food that and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vashon.

We hired Iyad’s Syrian Grill as the caterers for our wedding and they were phenomenal! I highly recommend them for anyone planning a special event. The food was outstanding and every guest thought it was delicious. There were plenty of options for all dietary needs and the presentation was gorgeous. Safa was so helpful and communicative while we were planning the menu. I had never thrown an event that size so I had a lot of questions and was very nervous. They handled everything perfectly and helped me to make the right choices. If we ever host another catered party on Vashon island they would be my number choice.

Delicious food! We came from CA to Vashon for my son’s wedding and I was hosting the rehearsal dinner. We chose Iyads Syrian Grill to cater the event and it was perfect! Safa was so easy to work with and she promptly responded to my emails and answered all my questions. Iyad brought the food and set up beautiful copper chafing dishes. The presentation was lovely and made the dinner feel elegant and special. We had lamb gyros and chicken schwarma and it was so delicious that everyone went back for seconds and kept talking about the yummy food. I would highly recommend Iyads Syrian Grill. You won’t be disappointed.

A can't-miss if you're in the area. The food is made with love--flavorful, rich, and filling. If you like Mediterranean food, you'll be delighted. Also, double-check before ordering, but the falafel should be gluten-free and not fried in contaminated oil!

Delicious lunch spot, open on Mondays! We had the chicken shawarma sandwich, Aleppo veggie plate, and baklava. The chicken was very yummy but the plate was my favorite! I loved all the variety of flavors in every corner of my box, especially the babaganush.

Wow.. I mean, wow. We came here because of all the positive reviews and the reviews are spot on if not underselling the flavor! You might miss the spot if your not following GPS but there is plenty of outdoor space for eating. As everyone has said, the guy is super friendly and he can COOK.

Delicious, just what we needed!

Such a lovely place to get some mouth watering food. We had the chicken shawarma plate, the lamb shawarma plate and a falafel wrap and everything was so tasty. Everything's loaded up with sauces. Iyad was sweet enough to give our dog an extra large portion of gyro meat. Safe to say that our dog gives this place 5 stars too. Would highly recommend this place if you're ever on vashon.

Absolutely the greatest. Hard working guy, and family,. Best food. Have it your way if you want. Delicious and plentiful.

Iyad is a hard worker, making jumbo sized gyros that test the strength of their wraps. There is no skimping on meats here, and he stuffs each to the max with lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles. These gyros are so large that he cannot actually fit them into the container as is and must cut them in half. Topped with his homemade sauces (don't skimp on the hot sauce! It's more than just heat), the lamb is tender and rich with juice, evidence of a long marination. Iyad also grills the wrap, to make sure you don't miss out on any of that delicious grease. Don't forget to grab a baklava to complete your meal!

DELICIOUS! After not eating while traveling, THIS was the place that I broke my fast with, and it was insanely good. I’ve never seen a cook in a chef coat at a food cart, but now I understand why. This man cooks with love, and you can taste it (not to mention his incredible story of coming to the US). Perfectly succulent chicken shawarma, delicious sauces (the pomegranate sauce was awesome), and a very filling meal, even for a big dude like me. Worth every penny and more - Don’t miss this on Vashon!

Must try food in vashonIsland, this is perhaps the best Syrian food you can try in Seattle area and one the best Mediterranean food. If you come vashon you should try this. And don't miss the baklava, all natural and delicious.

Iyad catered for a party of 8 for me, and all of the food was delicious! The rice and lamb/veggie plates were so full of flavor, and were very generous portions. The falafel was soft and delicious - not crumbly or dry at all! I would recommend Iyad for a quick lunch, or to cater a party! Besides the food being delicious, Iyad was very nice and even gave us some fresh eggs from his chickens!

Excellent service, the owner was so friendly. We ordered the falafel plate and lamb plate - phenomenal food. Fresh, topped with herbs, so flavorful. My boyfriend said the lamb was melt-in-your-mouth. The falafel was delicious and the tabbouleh was the best I've ever had. Can't wait to visit Vashon again and order some more!
