The drinks are very weak. The staff took forever to get to me. Steak was excellent. The clam chowder was tasty. I wish you guys would soccer games from the UK and Italian Serie A games.

Wonderful restaurant, great food and people. Can be very spendy.

After so many disappointing dinners around town Jake's came through as always. My birthday dinner included a ribeye cooked to perfection with the best baked potato ever! The desert was sinfully delicious and no one was shy about digging in. And the flowers on the patio are gorgeous lol

We sat in the bar which is loud AF!! Exactly the Vibe we were seeking!! Walked in and were greeted by a very handsome 60 something man. We told him we were going to sit at the bar. He was so thoughtful and told us there was a quiet private table in the back. We didn’t have reservations bar seating is open. We ordered the Brussel sprouts. My husband hates them and he tried them and said now THOSE I WOULD it!! We ordered the 16 oz ribeye medium rare and it was perfect with a huge loaded baked potato. If I come back thru I will eat here again. Amazing food loud fun vibe friendly people and you don’t have to be all fancy however many professionals and cowboys were present.

Best French dip And the clam chowder is second to none !

We came last week in the ribeye was absolutely wonderful. We left tonight and tried the prime rib and it had no flavor at all. I took two bites and the rest is going to my dog. Very disappointed

The staff were friendly and service was excellent. The steaks are delicious. Go hungry, portions are generous. Nice selection of wine and cocktails. We were just passing through Billings. This was a nice find.

We dined at this restaurant last night and it was HORRIBLE. After eating only 3-4 bites of the food, it made me soooo sick. I got extremely hot, dizzy and threw up at the table. A lady came to our table that I concluded was the manager & asked IF WE HAD PAID OUR BILL which we had. She acted as if we were trying to get a free meal. She asked if I were allergic to anything & because I was so sick, I could only shake my head to respond no. She then asked if I wanted some ice and provided me with a bag. NOTHING ELSE! NOTHING! My friend complimented the waiter on his food but by the time we got home, his stomach was so upset that he was moaning, groaning and sick in the restroom for an hour. I've dined at several restaurants during my month long visit in Billings but Jake's West End was THE WORST. I WILL NEVER DINE HERE AGAIN!!! HORRIBLE!!!!!

What a pleasant surprise! Jake's was walking distance from the hotel and assumed it was just a bar. The food was outstanding and our server was even better.

My wife and I grew up in Billings and raised our family there. We have moved several times over the past ten years and came back in July to visit family. We decided on Jake's Bar & Grill for a special night with family, in spite of the fact that it was rather expensive. Big mistake! The service started well. The salad was good and then the steaks arrived. Maybe I'm old and out of touch, but I think there should be certain expectations when you buy a $50 steak. They were edible but NOT great. They were cooked well but rather tough. I complained to the waitress and she told her manager. He came to our table and, with no apology, took my steak and baked potato back to the kitchen. He said I would get my replacement in 10 to 12 minutes. A half hour later, after everyone else was finished eating, my steak arrived. It was better but still not better than much cheaper steaks that I have had in my life. I was done complaining until I tried the baked potato. HE BROUGHT ME BACK THE SAME BAKED POTATO HE HAD TAKEN FROM ME A HALF HOUR BEFORE BUT DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO HEAT IT UP AND PUT MORE BUTTER AND SOUR CREAM ON IT1 I was angry and told him so. I will never return and advise others to avoid this place.

Solid steak dinner with excellent service from Hayley. Good beer, wine and prices sensible. Very busy for a mid week night.

Bartender Jennifer was awesome. I ate and partook in the drink several times. Her service was amazing. After only being there twice, she memorized my drinks of choice. The steaks and salmon were cooked perfectly, and the baked potato is a definite must. Gotta l9ve Red Breast Whiskey. Next time I'm in Billings, I'll be back to visit. CHEERS! 🍻🥃

Good food and great atmosphere. I grew up in Billings and have been to Jake’s (west and downtown) for many years. My only big complaint is their salsa - it’s pretty much straight tomato sauce. I mean, it’s honestly horrible salsa. Otherwise great food and service, highly recommended!

While in town on vacation, we went to the restaurant planning to get the prime rib that we saw for $27.95; but when looking at the menu, it said “Market Price”. This was posted on TripAdvisor. The waitress said that the small cut was $40 and larger was $48. The service was very good, but we were disappointed that the prices were not as we had seen online before deciding to try Jake’s.

Four stars is as good as it gets for me usually. Amazing food, amazing service. The atmosphere is pleasing, the suburban location is peaceful. This is where I go to relax and escape for a bit. If you’re going to get trashed and be loud and careless, don’t go here, it’s not the place. Nobody will put up with it…Everyone that goes here is going to relax, enjoy good food and have some drinks and be chill. If THAT is what you want? Do it. There is a male bartender that works there every Friday when I go in, around 4PM. He is amazing. never had a waiter or bartender that wasn’t great here, but he is the crème de le crème. Definitely recommend Jake’s and definitely recommend the cinnamon pear mojito it’s my go to Only real complaint I have? They do enforce the city ordinance on vaping on the patio…when allot of others ignore it. But they aren’t rude about it and it is technically a law. But really that’s only complaint I have here. Service and management and quality is amazing overall

Fabulous place to visit, with excellent food and service! Me, being from Vegas, I so much enjoyed the fresh Montana summer weather, sitting on the patio for a late dinner, away from this brutally annoying heavy-hot desert air.

We were on a 12-day tour across the Midwest that started in Rapid City South Dakota and ended in Salt Lake City utah. This restaurant had to be the very best value of any restaurant we ate during our 12 days. The restaurant is large in the parking lot is very big and every parking spot was full. We made a reservation for this restaurant while we were at Little Big Horn on our way to billings. Highly recommend and if I could remember the name of the server I would carrot but I just can't remember because she was outstanding. My wife loved her steak and my server recommended that I get the fajitas which is on the bar menu but not the regular menu. Wasn't a problem for our server who went and got me the bar menu and I ordered the fajitas which I loved.

I have to start by saying that Jake's was a regular stop for me and my grandma when I went shopping in Billings cuz they were consistent and had decent quality of food. Although my last trip was a little bit of a shock. The quality of food had drastically dropped. Even the fries reminded me of McDonald's fries, and it also felt like that they raised the prices of the items on their menu. So overall I was disappointed that the quality of food didn't justify the increase in cost.

My oh my we were so pleased with our meal recently while traving in the area. Steak and seafood to perfection.

I had the best service by Presley! I came in to celebrate a special day yesterday and Presley really made my entire experience just that. In fact, she made my day. It’s people like Presley in this world that can make a complete stranger feel loved. She was so kind hearted and extremely good at what she does. Presley went above and beyond to make my dining experience exceptional, from fulfilling a special request to me never having to even ask her for one thing. She had several tables, yet made me feel like I was the only one. Now when I think of the day I went to celebrate my mother’s birthday and the place I chose, it brings me happiness and I look forward to coming back. Thank you Presley, for being you!

Worst ham and bean soup I've ever had. Had a bowl and 3 tiny pieces of ham and maybe 4 spoonfuls of beans. Absolutely tasteless.

Went in there for early dinner.Fast service greeted quickly delicious food

We drove in from out of town so got an early dinner. The French Onion soup was different than I’ve had before but very tasty. The ribeye was excellent. I had salmon from the special. It was well seasoned and the fresh green beans that came with it were cooked perfectly. The salmon itself was a bit overcooked but I find that to be true in most restaurants. Service and ambience were great as well. Better selection of wine than I’ve found anywhere else in Wyoming. Will definitely go there again if I am ever back in Billings. 😊

Jakes on the West End is amazing. I took a friend/work colleague there for her Birthday lunch. The food was amazing and our waitress Caitlyn was amazing as well. We had plenty of time to enjoy our lunch and get back to the office without having to rush. We will be back !!!

Love eating at Jake's. Lunch menu has such a wide variety. I recommend the steak salad. I also like sitting in the bar area for lunch. Dinner in dining room has a great atmosphere. Service has always been top notch as well. Highly recommend!

I called to make an order for our family.... I was informed that they don't do to go orders anymore because it overwhelms their chef. I was informed that you have to go in to make your to-go order and wait for it there while it is being cooked. Doesn't that defeat the whole idea of you know take out. Will I know Roadhouse will be happy to make to go orders not a problem. I would think if I was a business owner that sold food I would not refuse to make to go orders

This establishment recently started a disgusting clam chowder that is absolutely revolting. But… They clearly have cleaned up their act, they have begun serving the homemade clam chowder once again! The service is stellar, and the mango lemonade is delicious. Another dish to recommend is the fish and chips, definitely worth it. Me and I’m sure many others are glad that they have brought the homemade clam chowder back. That bagged stuff had no flavor whatsoever and zero clam. Plus some mushy potatoes. The music is pretty loud.

Went the Friday before valentines day. Our server was amazing!! I wish I remembered her name but she made the experience great with a great personality. We even told her she made spending that kinda money even more worth it. Food was amazing.

Very disappointed from the service to the food and also menu prices are far from being accurate. Prime rib on the menu, online is $26.95, got charged $40 for the small cut and it was not cooked at all the way it was ordered. The server appeared to be inexperienced, I will give her credit for the smile but not the service aspect of the dinner. Not sure that I will go back, right now the answer would be no.

Really loved this place, sat at the bar and had wonderful service from Lacey and Brianne. Pat the manager stopped by great guy, really wonderful spot for food and drink and atmosphere. I had the brussel sprouts for an appetizer and the ribeye steak for entree, ribeye steak was not as great as I had hoped to be, a little bit tough. Enjoy this place wonderful carrot cake for dessert.

We had an excellent waitress, she was delightful, the food was fabulous and huge servings !

Haven't been here in years after a horrible service experience but decided to try again. I called aheadl ahead to ask for some food alergy info and they answered my question without problem, so we there for evening dinner. Our server was very friendly and helpful to get us options for our food alergy. The food was great and an overall enjoyable experience.

Made the reservation online using the app found on the website. That went well. Placed in comments section that we were celebrating my wife's birthday and they greeted her with a happy birthday wish at check-in and the server at the table. I choose this west end Jake's location because it's quite compared to the downtown location and it didn't disappoint. Food and drinks were excellent as usual and we left satisfied by the quality and quantity. A complimentary dessert as a birthday gift completed the nights celebration. My thanks to the staff at Jake's.

Our server, Garrett, was amazing. We have had him multiple times when we’ve eaten at Jake’s. Sometimes it will be 8 months or more between visits, but he always remembers us. It was my wife’s birthday tonight and he treated our table very well. It’s the same way he treats all of his tables. The food and atmosphere at Jake’s are great, but in the end, it’s people like Garrett that keep us coming back.

Having ate at J|D (Jake's Downrown) it is way better than this place. The steaks are better priced and the quality is a bit better. I would recommend Jake's Downtown over Jake's Bar & Grill.

Jake's does not disappoint even after 35 years of dining with them, and at either location. The staff is always accomodating; the food is well prepared and delicious. The bartender was able to make a special after dinner drink for us that included using ice cream. Those are the reasons that we keep going back time after time!

Great service, great food and wonderful selection of wine. The salmon I had was absolutely the best. Nice presentation and lovely atmosphere, cool art.

Very fast, very good, all hot. I am 68 years old. Eaten a lot of prime rib all over this state. This is the best I have ever had. Horse radish home ground, man it too was best ever. The wife says the same about her steak. Cudoos guys.

If you want quality food this is your place. So often places struggle to get a steak cooked exactly how you want it, but they nailed it. Our waitress was perfect with the amount of attention we wanted.

Great food, service, and atmosphere

The atmosphere is very pleasant and feels high end and Posh. The staff was amazing and the prime rib was brilliant. I chose here to propose and the restaurant helped us celebrate with dessert. Doesn't require formal attire but could be considered fancy. Since I proposed there they helped us celebrate with dessert. Highly recommend for casual dinner to semi formal. We ate here once more. Reservation was for 7 and we were ten minutes early but still got seated. Very pleased but it waiting would have been fine as well. The Prime Rib was available but too well done for my liking. I chose the 16oz Ribeye and the steak was cooked to perfection. Seasoned well and the green beans also had a seasoning that was brilliant. My mother got the bacon wrapped filet mignon and was also an excellent choice. The bacon added a smoky flavor. Also cooked to perfection. The wait staff was also great. They weren't over attentive or not enough. A very lovely young person who portrayed Jake's as high end. Once more ten out of ten would eat there again. The cost is a little more but definitely worth it.

The restaurant and bar are great. Cocktails are fresh and delicious & the food has a great variety from formal to casual, which was awesome. Our server Courtland made the experience 5 star with how well he took care of us, highly recommended.

Everything was good except the crab artichoke sandwich. Overload on cheese!! 🤢couldn't taste crab or artichoke or even the onions. Everything else was pretty good

Stopped for lunch with the boys. Burger and fries were delicious, so juicy and moist! Our Bartender, Kiery, was fantastic. Offered up great recommendations for things to do in the area. Also, she's got eyes of an Angel! 🥰

Food, service, and ambiance were amazing, but it did take 45 minutes for my meal to arrive for a party of 1 with a reservation. That was the only dissatisfaction point for me.

It was good, but for the food being average did not justify the above average prices. The onion soup had hardly any broth and was luke warm. Basically a bowl of stewed onions with melted cheese on top. The bread was like the frozen French bread from Costco. The steak was good but not $46 good.

Our server was excellent!! Also, was the first time we have sat in the booth area and we really enjoyed that section. I think it was quieter and more relaxing.

Jake's always has excellent food! And our server Spring was absolutely fantastic! 

We chose Jakes at the recommendation of our tour guide we were traveling with. The prices listed for dinner online on their website were substantially lower than the true menu prices. When I mentioned it to our waitress, she said “yeah, we don’t quite have it together“. Well, for the price as they charge, they better get it together. The food was OK but the steak was quite salty. Service could have been better as well as they never came back to ask us if we needed anything or refill our beverages. Save your money and go somewhere else.

The service was great. Timely service of food and drink to table. The French onion soup is much better at the downtown location. The meat of the Baseball Sirloin was salty. The Chicken Christopher was over the top.

For 35 years Jake's has been my favorite restaurant in Billings, but the original founder is no longer in the picture and it has really gone down hill. They charge Peter Luger prices and deliver Dennys food and service.
