Small town diner with great burgers and fries. Could be Nostalgia, too, as I've loved this place since I was a kid. No longer live in Calhoun, but every trip there has a stop by Jay's in it.

The peanut butter shake is really good!

Jay's it a small hole in the wall type diner that makes you think of a diner from your favorite classic TV show. One that always has the best food and great service. All the food is cooked to order so it is always hot, fresh and delicious! They have a great selection of items, both main items and sides. The burgers are great, and the kids love the chicken nuggets. If you feel like eating outdoors, there's a small pavilion right down the road that overlooks the river and has a playground beside it. It is unrelated to Jay's itself but is a great place to eat and let the kids play.

The food was good. Dining area seemed to be clean. Staff was friendly. But my order was incorrect. They made me a chocolate milk shake when I ordered a large cherry coke.

Best burger from a diner I have ever had. Got the double burger and fries, and it was made fresh. Took less than 10 min. Have been and will continue going to JAY'S

Everything was good but the size of the fries, tots & cheese sticks should be sold in different sizes or at least have a bigger size than what you have now.

This little hole in the wall has been around for decades and while they don't have the biggest fanciest menu, what they do have is excellent food done right. I just recently discovered this place and was blown away. Excellent burgers and fries, Ice cream too!

Cash or check only. The burgers were thin and greasy. We tasted more bread than burger. It does not have a toilet and shares with a laundromat and it was filthy. It needs a thorough cleaning in the dining area.

If you are looking for fried food, burger or shake, this place will suit your basic needs. The staff was very accommodating and sweet, but the atmosphere leaves little to desire and the bathroom facility gets a 1 from my bathroom scale of 1-10. Calling ahead and picking it up would be a good option for me next time I'm in the area and feel like eating that kind of food.
