The barista helped us picked the perfect coffee creations! The atmosphere is great, the decorations are even better! We loved visiting Jean Lafitte Trading Company. It was tucked in to a beautiful street in the heart of the French Quarter. We will definitely return when we visit New Orleans again!

Found this place by accident. Came back with my daughter and grand girls. This was a surprise for my daughter. She loved the entire vibe of the place. Great coffee shop and store. Wonderful employees. Great place check it out won't be disappointed. Veteran owned and they give Military discount.

I recently visited a fantastic coffee shop located across from Hotel Monteleone in the alley corridor on the right-hand side, at #320. It's such a cool spot, and I even have a video to share! When I was there, the owner mentioned that the coffee they sell has been chosen through blind taste tests by locals, and let me tell you, it was incredibly smooth and not acidic at all. I ended up having two cappuccinos because I loved it so much. You should definitely check it out!

Tucked away from the tourist crowds, this hidden treasure holds all the Pirate Booty a pirate could dream of. I’m booking my next trip to NOLA so I can stay in the Captain’s Quarters! Pirate Posh to the max! It’s PIRATE APPROVED!

This is technically a clothing company, so if you're in the market for a high quality pirate garb this is the place. I particularly enjoyed seeing the captains quarters and the coffee shop. It was pretty busy because cruise ships were coming into port when we stopped by. This store is housed in a beautiful courtyard so if it's too busy inside enjoy your coffee outside. The staff was really welcoming and knew their way around a coffee bar. Really enjoyed the oat milk scallywag pirate king coffee.

Stumbled upon this place while wandering in the French Quarter and absolutely loved the cool vibe and the warm dark atmosphere, but it’s always the people that make a place really special. The owner and staff were just so welcoming and friendly and the coffee was delicious! Hoping I can make it back while I’m in town. If you enjoy unique coffee shop experiences and great coffee, stop in this place! And if Pirates are your thing, you’ll really dig it. Highly recommended!!

I love this place! I just discovered it yesterday and can't believe I didn't know about it sooner! The staff are so friendly, the merch is so cool, and while I didn't get to try their drinks, I'll for sure be going back for them

I stumbled across this place by chance. I had a truly excellent Cafe mocha, made as I prefer, not too sweet.

Nadia makes a great cup of coffee and the owner makes you feel right at home. The quality of the merchandise here is excellent and we are excited to come here again- thank you for your hospitality and great souvenirs.

I was walking down Exchange Place Alley and this shop caught my eye. Unfortunately this was Tuesday and they were not open. I looked through the windows (hope no one minds) and saw a wide and varied array of pirate items and more for sale. I loved the decor and combined with the positive reviews I have read plan to stop in again when they are open.

This establishment gets the "Poet Pirate Laureate" seal of approval!! Fantastic coffee and an eclectic coollection of t-shirts, mugs, hats, and other piratical merchandise. Very friendly, welcoming staff and an owner who is a brother Seadog, to be sure! If you love pirates and you are in New Orleans, you MUST check this place out!

Did a small unplanned tour stop here and we had do go back. Loved the whole vibe of the place. My husband just had to have the American Pirate Tshirt and my daughter loved the mug. The coffee was tasty. Staff was amazing! Definitely make it a stop for you in New Orleans.

First trip to New Orleans with the kids. Just walking through and saw this store. Our family was joking with our 9 year old on pirates and he was excited and nervous about going in. The owner and employees were amazing in playing along and helped my kid steal some of the captains treasure. The atmosphere is awesome, employees all amazing. Great products and coffee is super good and smooth! If I ever go back to New Orleans again we'll definitely visit again. In the meantime, I'll have to keep ordering their incredible coffee online!

If you are a pirate history lover and you don't make it a point to visit this store, you are wrong! The owner and the manager are fantastic, the shop is amazing, and the merchandise is one of a kind. Go there get some excellent coffee, pick up some epic swag , visit, learn and you will leave happy. Guaranteed!

First thing I have to say about this place is it is Veteran Owed and operated! Dan and Shelley are great people who made us feel welcome and also educated my wife and I about their business. Great coffee, good company and some great souvenirs!

I made my inaugural trip to New Orleans last week and had the time of my life, thanks in part to a visit to this lovely shop. The decor of the store is outstanding. It is thematic and fun while still retaining professionalism. The t-shirt selection was excellent, with no shortage of various graphics and quotes, sure to please even the pickiest of souvenir shopper. The real highlight of the store was the owner of the shop who was affable and a joy to chat with. My only regret was that I was pressed for time and could not stay longer to talk history. Highly recommended for anyone interested in pirates (historical or fictional), the Age of Sail, or just looking for something a little different from the typical New Orleans fare.

One of the most welcoming places I've been in the quarter. The clothing was great, the ambiance was incredible. They really did a great job. Brought a bag of coffee home and have loved it.

When you walk into this shop the experience is immersive. Wood lined walls, ancient cannons, a lavish captain's quarters, a coffee bar and lots of photo-worthy opportunities. It is one of my new favorite shops in the French Quarter! Lots of treasures for pirate lovers of all ages and the owners are awesome people who make you feel right at home. This is a must stop in between cocktails on a day in the French Quarter.

A pirate store off the beaten path? With treasures? Yes please. We happened upon this gorgeous shop last week while in town to celebrate our anniversary. And when I say a pirate store...I do not mean like a few pirate ship pictures and eye patches for kids to buy. This is actually cool. Small details throughout included the captains quarters, and delicious fresh brewed coffee. They seriously got everything right and it was a place I could just hang out all day and talk with the owners - who were so awesome by the way. Knowledgeable, friendly. Stop in to this place while visiting and buy a few things for yourself that will become great memories.

If in the French Quarter make sure you stop by, I would even recommend making a trip to the quarter just to go. Awesome stuff inside to purchase and look at. Friend, Fiend, and Definitely Pirate Recommended! This was my favorite shop in the French Quarter of New Orleans!! A very short and worthy walk from Decatur and Jackson Square. Look for the Pirate Skull & Bones signs on the sidewalks at either end of the street that point the way. From the rich reclaimed ship wood walls to the lavishly decorated Captain's Quarters this place has many sights to behold and much history to be told. We were greet most warmly by the owner and felt very welcome inside. There is a kid's (younger and older alike) section for those landlubbers wishing and pretending they have sealegs. Stop in long enough to have a seat with a delicious Lafitte Trading Company brewed coffee, It was the perfect pick me up that I needed. I chose to try the chicory and ended up buying a bag for home! Their T-Shirts are incredibly soft. won't shrink, are pretty true to size, and I want one of each. They do carry some things in shop that you cannot purchase online like a spyglass, flasks, and pirate playing cards ... amongst other fun things. - aka LadySway77

Stumbled in here on accident when the NO rains interrupted our family photo session. We got to spend about an hour sipping on great coffee and just talking with the kind couple who own the shop. It's a hidden coffee gem with a welcoming atmosphere!

We got our order in no time, despite livingaboard in the USVI! Flag is built to last flying from our mast 24/7 for over 2 months and still looks like new. Patches and decals are well put together as well! Looking forward to trying the JLTC coffee from one of their JLTC coffee mugs soon!
