I called to place an order as I was driving into work. I was placed on hold. As I was waiting for someone to come back to the phone I decided to just walk into the diner because I was on hold the entire ride to work and JJ cafe is on my way to the office. I stayed on the phone to see if anyone would come back to the phone. I walked in and placed my order and I am still on hold. It is now 15 minutes I have been waiting for some one to come back to the phone. They have two people behind the counter and three tables taken up with patrons. I enjoy the breakfast but this is not the first time I have tried to call in an order to expedite things and been placed on hold forever. I have had to call back several times just to place an order. The service is not good! Still waiting on the phone! It is now 20 minutes on hold as I wait inside the restaurant late for work waiting on my food. Still waiting!

The food was so delicious. I was surprised. The outer appearance does not look like much but it’s a very relaxed and chilled environment. The Gyro was one of the best I ever had. The salad was fresh and I have absolutely no complaints about my meal. I will definitely be going back. Put this on you places to visit.

Standard diner food and service

It's a diner, server has too much attitude, food was just okay, chicken waffle dry , And they ask about sides with sandwich but don't tell veggies cost extra. Won't go back.

This was our second visit here, breakfast this time. once again, the food was quite good, I had chicken Fried steak and eggs with crispy hash browns, Chi had the Greek Scramble with home fries again, which he said was equally as good as our first experience and I found the chicken fried steak to be delightful. The service is pretty good as well. We definitely will continue to dine here and it rates high on our recommendation list! 😋😋😋😋 The food was quite good and the service was equally good, and the prices were in line with most other diners in this area. Chi had the Greek Scramble, he said it was delicious, and I had a Chili cheese burger 🍔 that was excellent! It was served with crinkle cut fries that were hot and crispy, that in itself made my day, as I strongly dislike soggy, cold fries of any kind! Vanessa was our server and she was friendly and welcoming. The diner was comfortable with a relaxing atmosphere. Also, while they did have ABC news on one monitor, the other had Fox news but nobody seemed to be paying any attention. Overall, we give this place a rating of 😋😋😋😋 of five and will be returning sion to try some of the other tasty items in their menu! A definite recommend!!

This place is nostalgic. Lived in Broward a long time and got breakfast here often. When I go back I make sure to go to JJs at least once during my visit. Nice small dinner vibe. Must try.

My bosses order from this place on a daily and i went into the restaurant to get a soup first the 2 ladies didnt say a word so when we said hello and we said that we wanted a soup one of them answered sarcastically saying you can wait till i finish counting this ok. First off you ladies were standing there like statues. There was only 4 customers in there and both ladies had attitudes and were not friendly at all bad first impression i will not be ordering from here ever. They also charge 6 dollars to deliver not even a block crazy

This was my first time here and I can say that I’m not coming back. However I can say that the grits was good. The fish was plain and the Philly cheese steak was ok but the over experience is a no for me.

I travel to the area quite a bit and every time I have come here , the food and service has been great. Truly a hidden gem. New lettering on window looks great also, and I can’t wait till my next visit.

New Review - 3/23/24 I ordered a meal from uber Eats today: The eggs came with American cheese - I hate Aerican cheese. I had to scrape the cheese off of the top of the eggs. The eggs were flavorless and nasty. I had to add my own seasoning to them. (They need to add an option for the customer to be able to select the cheese they want). I asked for crispy bacon, and it wasn't crispy. The french toast was good, but i was only given 1 pack of syrup. My son's sausage links were one of those pre-packaged, microwavable, ready to eat sausage links. They weren't real sausage links that you prepare on the spot. I won't be coming back. Original Review: Overall the food is delicious. For the most part, they know how to make a really good breakfast! I'm not sure what happened with my last order though.. I just ordered two 222 meals through uber eats along with 2 milks. Both of the milks were in plastic cups and had greasy fingerprints on the side of the cups. When I went to pick up my milk, my hands were greasy and I needed to re-wash them. My pancake order was missing the bacon and my French toast had a few soggy spots in the middle of the French toast. I had to spit a few pieces out. On one of my orders I selected scrambled eggs well done with cheddar cheese . On the other order I chose scrambled eggs regular (no cheese). They made the regular scrambled eggs well done instead of the scrambled eggs with cheese. Not sure why there were so many mistakes.

The food is OK. It just depends on when you go. Sometimes you get it really great. Sometimes the woman in the front does have a bit of an attitude. I don’t know her name OK place to order food

Horrible customer service, rather than adjusting my order as soon as I placed it, they tried to get me to cancel my order and pay $15 for nothing. Had to place a completely separate order to get what I actually wanted and ended up spending $45 for breakfast for 2 people. And the food in mediocre at best. Go somewhere else for food.

And waitress was not too friendly but another waitress also helped her she had long black hair very sweet

Go to Jetway cafe down the street for good food which is what I did after I left this hole in the wall . If I could give it zero stars I would. The hot chocolate taste like hot tap water and the edges of the cup was dirty. The elderly couple next to me ordered an egg salad and called the waitress back asking why the egg salad looked discolored with an odor the waitress said “ oh yeah it looks bad” took the plate didn’t wash her had and placed new bread in the toaster for the new plate she would serve the lady. The manager was sitting at another table with his phone got up and started shaking out rugs in the kitchen when the food station was and after used a cloth to wipe the cutting board area. I didn’t not order food I was disgusted and I immediately left. This restaurant hygiene techniques are totally disgusting.

The baker shop next door is the best.

I’m a local and tried this place for the first time. We ordered carry out. I ordered the south western scramble and it was one of the most disappointing breakfast dishes I have had in a long time. Both the sour cream and spinach sauce that are supposed to come with it were missing and the whole thing was swimming in a super wet greasy pool of liquid. A total waste of $15 as it’s going right in the trash. The only reason for 2 stars is the other meal (biscuits and gravy) while nothing amazing was not as bad. I doubt I will be returning after this disappointing experience

Today I ordered the Spanish omelette breakfast at this place and it was horrible! First of all, the so called Spanish omelette they say they have is everything except a Spanish omelette and not even a close version of it. The hash brown was burned therefore, it was hard as rock. The “cafe con leche” was cold and full of cinnamon everywhere. They never asked me whether if I liked cinnamon in it or not. The place is pricey too. I paid a little more than $16.00 for this horrible breakfast as if I was having a breakfast at South Beach… The man who took my order was not friendly at all. In conclusion, this was a very bad experience all over.

I have only been to this location a few times, as I have a property right around the corner from it, live for quite some years. However every single time I've walked into this location, I've always been met with some sort of disgruntled attitude from the employees, not to mention that their food service menu is quite expensive from the surrounding places in the area. They are roughly two to $3 more per item needless to say don't think I'll be going back there

Absolutely disgusting. Eggs were raw runny and gross. Coffee tasted like it was was from day before. Not to mention the rudest customer service. Close your doors now cause its a matter of time.

Searched for a new breakfast experience this morning and was pleasantly surprised and impressed with Jackie’s amazing service….and the Alaskan eggs Benedict was delicious! The spinach and avocado on a toast on a crescent was just as good. Off the beaten path, but well worth the try!

Monica is who took my order over the phone. After asking her the lunch specials for the day, I also asked her what’s in the soup “shrimp corn chowder” she literally told me, “ listen honey I don’t have time, and I’m busy” I’ve encountered awful customer service before, but never so broad and vivid. Never ever again in life would I step foot in that place. Not to mention, the food is sometimes GREAT and other times mediocre.

Have been ordering from here for over 8 years- this place rarely misses its usually a hit. LOVE LOVE LOVE their salads I dont know what they do to the chicken but it is delicious! I have never ordered something that disappoints breakfast, lunch, salads, sandwiches all 10/10 and super fast service I usually have my orders DELIVERED within 30 mins of ordering. Cant say enough great things.

IVE BEEN ORDEING FROM THIS PLACE FOR 2 YEARS SAME ADDRESS, which is little 4 mins away from the Café and today some rude lady gets on the phone and tells me they don't deliver there anymore because the driver doesn't want to drive that way. I kindly told her I've received orders from you for the last 2 years at this address and her response was " well you can go somewhere else then"

I ordered the steak and eggs breakfast. I ordered my steak medium well and when it arrived the steak was cooked well done. I figured I’d call the facility to let the know only because I truly do not like my steak well done or else I would of let it go and ate it. When I spoke to the manager she has the audacity to tell me that she bagged the food herself and that the steak was cooked medium well. I truly didn’t like her comment because that was not the case.- don’t lie and make your customer feel uncomfortable. I was so thrown off. Attached you will see what a well done steak looks like for your reference. I won’t be ordering from here again- not because the food taste bad or because it was over cooked but because of her comment. Completely uncalled for and unnecessary.

Been ordering from this place on uber eats for years. They have great food, they do well with their uber orders anyways I called after placing my order on uber eats a minute before to add an item on, the lady that answered the phone told me I would have to place another order through uber eats(pay another fee) that was very inconsiderate and because of that poor customer service I will not be ordering from them again. Talk about poor service. Peace out!!!

We order breakfast from this place and bring to the office every now and then, the owner is always friendly. This morning the grumpy lady answering the phone (not the owner) pretty much sent me away because I am way too late ordering 9 meals for Monday (it is Friday 10:40am!!!!)... I imagine another place will be happy to take my order.

My breakfast was delicious! I asked for onions on my chopped steak, so not sure if it comes with them already. Also they pre-buttered my English muffin which was a nice touch. And they include condiments that make sense with your dish. Other diners need to take note! Little things like this matter so much! Thank you all!

Flying out of Ft. Lauderdale, I needed a quick bite and wanted to support local. I phoned a friend who resides in the area and she suggested JJ Cafe since it is on the way to the airport. I literally just get off the turnpike and have just enough time for a quick grab and go. So I Google directions to JJ Cafe and after I exit off of the turnpike going east on commercial boulevard, I was there in no time. I pull into the parking lot of a strip mall, well weathered, but hungry I decide to continue my journey for a quick bite. I park and enter the restaurant and am immediately greeted by warm smiles and self-seating. I take a seat and I place my order for fish grits. My guest had turkey sausage and biscuit. The service, outstanding! The camaraderie, full of Hallmark moments.. -it appears to have a hometown following, however; the quality of the turkey sausage and the fried fish has room for improvement. The grits are ok. The eggs, I had mine scrambled light, is appetizing. A bit pricey for the quality but a sure stop for the locals. I have visited JJs at least 10 times since I quickly throughout five stars for review. I love that they serve breakfast all day. The food is great and the staff is incredibly friendly patient and professional. I always get an egg and cheese croissant. The French toast is great as well. My husband loves that there is a non-pork sausage option and so do I!

JJ Cafe... should be kept SECRET FOREVER. 1/2 CHEESEBURGER was delishish. The Chicken Cobb Salad was excellent too.

I come for breakfast somewhat regularly. Food is always great. But a main reason I go is Rita who is the best server ever. She knows me and what I want, as well as how I like it. Yet Rita knows everyone as soon as they walk in. Someone like her is why I come here. I have come to learn Rita may go to another location. Whoever is listening please let her stay where she is. Nonetheless JJ’s is good, Rita and those like her make it great.

A decent place, similar concept like Denny's but food quality was not the same. Service was ok and prices seemed high for the location and amenities, although its not an expensive place by any means. Service was average and seemed like they get lot of online orders as it was busy but In store orders seemed delayed. Food was decent and i loved their gravy which was poured over the biscuit which i like better than a side but overall I might not visit again.
