Greeted immediately, went to the bar, greeted by servers and bartenders so quickly. And the restaurant is busy atm. Had my chips before I opened the menu. Food is also amazing. Got the steak and shrimp dinner

Salsa is very acidic and bland Entrees are very salty and have no spicy heat. Staff had no interest when we didn't finish our meals. We usually give second chances because it might have been a bad night, this will not get that chance!!! If we could give zero or negative stars,it would happen here!!!

Food was several dollars more than I was used to paying at other Mexican restaurants. However, the dishes are outstanding and the portions are huge. Everyone in our party took home enough for a meal the next day.

The fajitas were everything I wanted. I moved here from Texas and needed a good fix for Mexican food, I finally got it here. The michelada was more than quality, much appreciated. The service was top notch. I'll be back as much as I can

Food was excellent. Got the guacamole as an appetizer, best guac I've had around here. Street tacos with chicken ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Service was excellent, everyone was so nice, we had a great experience. Highly recommend!

Nice location, the food came out really fast like they already have batches of fajitas made and are re-fired. Wasn’t the best but not the worst either.

I ate here last Friday night while in Springfield for an event. Very busy place because the food is very good! I didn't give the food a 5-star, because I ordered the shredded beef Chimichanga and it was pretty small, more like a lunch version. The chips and salsa were great, and the Dos Equis on tap was ice cold! We had a great server, she was very attentive and all the employees seemed to help each other out very well. Everyone enjoyed their food. I only gave the atmosphere 4-stars because it was so busy, and the restaurant is very echo-y and is just hard to enjoy your dinner. If you are in Springfield, give this place a try!

Starting with the best did some of the greatest nachos in the world. Our Colombian waiter was awesome. the tea could be better. Standard chips and salsa. Go for the nachos.

Outstanding service and beautiful decor cannot overcome subpar food. First the pluses: great salsa, chips and tortillas and the shrimp in the fajita. I asked the server which was the best and she recommended the seafood variation (Acapulco?). Sadly I opted for the Texan, with beef and shrimp without the chicken. Hubby had the traditional beef. In all my years of eating TexMex in both California and Texas, I have never had worse beef in fajitas— cut to shoestring size and cooked well done, if not burnt, tough as leather shoestrings and swimming in greasy onions and soggy bell peppers. Yuck! Inedible. The server didn’t notice that I left the plate untouched. Otherwise I would have been happy to have provided contemporaneous complements, and suggestions. There has to better and much more authentic Mexican food in Springfield. Otherwise, head on over to Texas!

First time going to this restaurant and it was ok. We were celebrating a birthday and asked about singing happy birthday and we were told that cause it was the middle of the week they could only do a dessert. Not even 5 minutes after getting said dessert on the other half of the restaurant we hear them singing las mañanitas to some other client. Don't lie to me just tell me you don't want to do part of your job instead.

This place is top notch with excellent food and service. If in Springfield you must check them out!

Great Food & Great Service! There's a clear reason this placed is packed!! On a cross county trip with the whole family, best Mexican food since we left California two weeks earlier. Everything we tried was great! Only thing I didn't care for was the liquid cheese sauce in the refried bean dip. We're used to queso fresco back in Cali. It was similar to Del Taco's white cheese sauce, but my wife liked it and she doesn't care for beans... to each their own. Otherwise EXCELLENT FOOD AND SERVICE A+A+A+ 10 OUT OF 10!!!! Facility was clean and inviting.

In town for a girl’s shopping trip and craving Mexican food. Someone in one of the stores we were shopping at recommended Jose Loco’s. It did not disappoint. It was the BEST Mexican food I have ever had!!!

By far, it is one of the most consistent restaurants that always has excellent food, exceptional service, and a great atmosphere! We eat here monthly and have never been disappointed! My husband says the Loco Penos are amazing! My go to is Fiesta Chicken or Steak Burrito, both are superb!

This was our first visit to this restaurant, and it did not disappoint! We've often seen the parking lot full, so we decided to check the reviews before trying it out, as we're quite particular about food quality. The glowing reviews, especially about the food and margaritas, convinced us to give it a shot. The service was excellent, and the food was fantastic. We highly recommend this restaurant; it has quickly become one of our favorites!❤️

My sister has been raving about this restaurant since she first tried it, so my mom and I thought it was time we tested it out, and Jose Locos did NOT disappoint. An absolutely beautiful atmosphere with hand painted tables, chairs, and wall art— it felt comfortable and calming while still being stunning. Alongside that, the food was absolutely delicious and I absolutely will be stopping by again! I also want to shout out to the lovely Melissa, (pronounced ‘Mae-lisa’ I’m not sure how she spells it) she was beyond sweet and welcoming and, whenever she found out I was an upcoming college freshman, gave me some beautiful advice. All in all, a truly beautiful place with delicious food and beautiful people!

This is the taste we were looking for. The shrimp taco salad was unapologetically full of shrimp. Really full of shrimp. The temperature was hot. The fajita burrito was full of flavor, but not the star of the show. The Cali burrito is huge! 1/2 is more than enough. Great taste! The Hayo burrito has fries in it and was reported to be great!

Absolutely an incredible fun dining experience here today. We Absolutely loved the large portions, really, really big and best margaritas we've ever had. Our birthday guest loved her pomegranate margarita and my lime margaritas was da bomb! Idk if Jose Locos is a chain but whenever you are in Spfld., Mo., Jose Locos is a MUST. The decor was traditional Mexico and very tasteful without excess indulgence. We loved the food, the vibe and even the tequila shot for the birthday girl. But...the best and most incredible part of this restaurant was our server; BRANDON.!!!. This young man was the most incredible server we have ever experienced. To top this as well, Brandon's kindness and genuinely makes him an outstanding human being with a heart of gold in his own right. We can't wait to visit Jose Locos again, especially hope to get BRANDON as our server again. Make sure to call to see if JL is open before you leave home as I think their business hours are seasonal.

Good food, good service, higher than normal prices. Shrimp & Arroz - shrimp was cooked perfectly rice was mushy. Did not come with tortillas, had to pay for them when I asked. Pick 2 - beans had nice flavor, verde enchilada was excellent, chile relleno was also delicious. We will be back to try more and possibly adjust the rating.

Traveling from DFW to Chicago and had an overnight stay in town. Tried this local Mexican restaurant for late dinner around 8pm. Had ceviche to start, and it was huge. Large portions of shrimp. Had Simple Grande Tacos, and Mexican Chicken Enchiladas with green sauce. Tacos come as 3, and are plenty. Enchiladas are chopped fajita chicken, and the green sauce is spicy, but excellent flavor. Good choice!

Monday 06/24/24 I went in after work around 4:00. I sat at the bar the bar tender was overly nice and I was suspicious but people can be nice without hidden agendas right. He ran my card for the cost of my food, tax plus additional $3 not sure why, as usual got a notification from my bank. I added a tip but I thought it was funny he didn't bring me a copy of the receipt. I left got another notification that I was charged for the food again plus the tip I added. It was pending thinking 1 would fall off I waited. Wednesday go check the $30.56 posted original $23.56 pending was changed to $100. My bank canceled the card and I started a dispute for fraud. I then called the restaurant and when ask to speak to the owner or the manager the guy on the phone all of a sudden he was the manager and I told him about the situation . Smh...he told me if I bring my Bank Statement in they'll look at it and see if a mistake was made but he's sorry. I'm letting my bank handle it. If you eat at this establishment be mindful using your cards they have thieves working there.

The food here is great in person, but I just wanted to get on to let people know that you cannot order online like Google says you can. When I called to make sure my order had gotten received, they said that they don't do online orders and it's only over the phone.

Had birria tacos. Birria is tender and consume flavorful. Rice, beans, guacamole all flavorful and fresh. Salsa is not just crushed tomato's like so many in the region.

We are out of state and were looking for a great place to eat dinner. Jose Locos is Byfar the best Mexican food I have ever eaten. The quality is unmatched, with amazing customer service, and a great atmosphere. At a great price. They have set the bar extremely high.

Since Los Cabos closed I've been on the hunt for good mexican. I found it here at Hose Locos. I cant find a single thing i dislike about this place. The food is stellar, the service is better. It's just....yes. Come and eat its worth your coin.

3 Tamale Plate (pork) was the best I've ever tasted. The Steak Burrito was excellent and huge. I would definitely eat here again.

Food is great and they are super quick at getting the food out efficiently. Only negative I had was our server had a poor attitude and barely came back to check on us and cups were empty almost the whole time we were here. Other than that I enjoy this place alot.

Waited 2 hours to get food and came cold. We made reservations for our group and was told didn’t have one when we arrived.

Food was served warm. Service was good. Restrooms were clean. Food tasted good. We were here on a busy day and service was still good. Portion sizes were really good size and we all left feeling full.

Food and service were excellent.

My husband and I shared a Nachos Rancheros and a frozen Margherita. We really enjoyed our meal. Our service was fantastic, everyone was very nice, helpful, and appreciated. The Nachos were layered with a delicious variety of complex flavors. The steak was fantastic! Drinking the Margherita was a joy, very well blended, not too sweet. The presentation of the food and drink was excellent, a pleasure to behold. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.

Service was good. Our server was very polite and quick. How ever the food was not good at all. My husband and I struggled to finish our meals. I ordered a chicken taco salad and the chicken did not taste good at all. My husband picked through his and Barely ate it. We spent over $60 on the two of us and left hungry. Would not eat there again

Im a trucker with Prime, and this place is a real treat for me, foods great best Mexican I've had from any place in the US, and service is usually top-notch. However, today, 4/16/24, I've spent over an hour trying to place my order online, and it's yet to be accepted. Tried calling to place my order verbally, but the phone line sent me straight to VM. I'd drive over to the restaurant to place a togo order in person, but my only mode of transportation is my big rig. Gmaps doesn't say that it's busier than normal, so I'm quite confused why it's been a hassel this time just to try and place an order that has yet to be taken.

I ordered Texas Fajitas to-go tonight and didn’t receive my tortillas. I am in town for work and heard a lot of good things about this restaurant so I was pretty disappointed to find half my order when I got back to my hotel. If I come back, I’ll probably eat inside to ensure I get everything (:
