We decided to come back it’s August 23, 2024 and they have the best watermelon salad ! Best beef strew. And really wonderful butterscotch pudding. I honestly wish I had taken a picture of the watermelon salad because it was over the top good The best chicken green chili tamal. Which is a green chili tamale and it is so good I can’t even express how good! We also had the chili Riano, which was good also

What a gem!!! Super atmosphere. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. The fish special was amazing. Cloud cake was fantastic!! Steak was cooked perfectly but just a bit much of the glaze...it overpowered the taste of everything. Lamb burger was cooked perfect and so tasty. For me, the polenta fries were the star!!! Can't wait to go back.

As SF local love the bar here. BEN IS THE BEST BARTENDER. Love that there is wine, sake, mixed drinks and beer. Food is great too, always impressive fish selection. Always busy have to come right at 5 to secure bar spot.

Ate at the bar recently on a Saturday early evening. It was a wonderful experience. Quiet, friendly service and amazing food. My wife and I shared the ceviche and the lamb neck confit. Great wine by the glass. Sweet bartender who was interesting and fun to converse with. The ceviche was fresh and beautifully acidic on a hot evening. The lamb neck confit was absolutely amazing. A great experience by a rock solid restaurant.

Joseph's is tucked away just on the outskirts of downtown Santa Fe. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but as soon as you walk in, you realize you are about to have a great dining experience. The staff is friendly and attentive. We were in Santa Fe for our 25th wedding anniversary and they brought us some bubbly to start, which was a very nice touch. We had the chicken liver mousse, the lamb burger and the special seabass. All along with a bottle of Willamette Valley pinot noir. It was an excellent meal. The lamb burger and seabass were especially delicious, while the chicken liver was just ok (needed a bit of salt). But, that did not distract from the evening at all. What a great time! Get there if you can.

My mom was very excited to take me to this trendy Santa Fe gastropub. Only one visit so far, so my impressions are limited. This will be a preliminary review until I can get back here and try more of the menu. GOOD: This is not your usual Santa Fe cliche tourist spot. Only locals come here, and most of the clientele appear to be "foodies." (Not a bolo tie in sight!) Atmosphere is very charming, and I think this would be a great special occasion spot. Service was nice, and I liked the drink list. Duck fat fries were nice, and we all enjoyed the cloud cake. MEH: I actually thought the food was a little underwhelming - more concept than execution. My ratatouille had kale in it for some reason, and almost no flavor at all. I need to come back here and try more of the dishes. Sadly this is a common problem in a city like Santa Fe where most of the leisure diners are elderly. But I don't want to jump to hasty conclusions, and will be back to try more. BONUS: Very surprised to see so many gluten-free options on the menu. My wife is gluten intolerant and I plan to bring her here.

Outstanding food and service. The ratatouille and crispy lamb neck were so delicious and flavorful, even the bread and butter and raw salad were elevated, the staff are very attentive and friendly, this place is just wonderful and deserving of all the 5 star reviews.

10/10 experience in every way. The staff were incredibly gracious, the food was delicious, and the romantic and cozy atmosphere felt like being embraced by a warm hug. Enough to make a person want to write a review.

Great atmosphere; low noise level, could actually carry on a conversation! Most unique menu; I loved the raw salad with truffle vinaigrette; my husband's lamb burger, exceptional. Couldn't resist and ordered a scoop of the duck fat caramel ice cream. The creamiest, most delicious ever! Extensive wine list. Visiting from out of state, we are planning to return this week to sample some of the other unique dishes. Highly recommend looking at the menu, so many creative dishes!

The hamachi salad and curry soup were delicious and the fish special with the ham risotto was one of best seafood dishes I’ve ever had. I was not a huge fan of the pad Thai, but my husband liked it. Wish they had a cocktail menu.

What a spectacular find!! Everything was so amazing made from scratch and with superb ingredients. The carrot, curry and crab soup was beautiful and delicious, the portion large enough to be willing to share. It felt sinful not to finish, but I wanted to have room for my entree of duck confit pad thai style. I do not have a sweet tooth and rarely order dessert, but could not pass up the butterscotch pudding with caramel sauce and sea salt. Every bite of the meal was heavenly. Our dinner here was the absolutely best part of our vacation in Santa Fe. We ate at two other restaurants with either Michelin Stars and/or a James Beard award-winning chef (one of which was grossly overrated), and this dinner won hands down. I would have appreciated a more extensive wine list, but loved the dining experience too to bottom. The decor was interesting and cozy with beautifully painted (as in on the glass) sheer curtains and tablecloths, sparkling candles sconces all over the walls and beautiful cooper cookware. The staff was cheery but not overbearing, just perfect.

This place has a modern farmhouse vibe with the tastiest menu. I have dietary restrictions and they worked with me. I ate a lamb burger which was served on a homemade English muffin. The freshly made pineapple Kobucha was just the right amount of sweetness and fizz. The have home bread and ice creams and you should eat all of it. Don’t leave without the duck fat French fries.

The place is small and a bit noisey but the food was great the service was good drinks were strong and they have rabbit on the menu if u want to try something different

We appreciate the eclectic Joseph's menu, which ranges across cuisines and cultures. However, for our most recent meal we stuck to classics, diver scallops topped with caviar and served with potato galette and roast duck with spicy red cabbage, both of which were perfectly prepared. There are many fairly priced wines on the list. Excellent friendly service. Be aware that if you eat early on a Sunday evening you will be competing with the church patrons for parking spaces.

Perfectly crafted ! It was very busy and the service was fantastic. The menu was an absolute delight. Definitely not too touristy. You can tell the chef is still in the kitchen and designing the menu.

Went here for a romantic date and had an incredible experience. Finding good gluten free food is hard and this was amazing. Definitely will come back when we come back to Santa Fe. The server was amazing and we had a great time.

This restaurant has interesting , different, flavorful and wonderful food. We were treated well ! It was one of the best meals we had in Santa Fe! Highly recommended. For appetizers we split and loved the polenta fries and fresh salad with vinegar dressing. For dinner we had duck, lamb burger, chicken poodle verde and fish of the day. All delicious!!! Lemon tart for dessert was excellent.

We love Joseph's Culinary Pub and have been coming for years. We love the overall vibe and the food is outstanding. On Thanksgiving I had the "Thanksgiving Plate". The turkey was good but "everything else" was kind of mushed together. Visually it was not presented elegantly at all. I ate the turkey and left half of the rest of the plate.

Great food, not too welcoming at first. FYI sparkling water is not free, they charge you $9 per bottle they open, that was not made clear. Food is creative and made well. The duck fat fries and chips are over-hyped but they do them well. It's a bar trying to be a fine dining establishment, great meal!

Would give this place 6 stars if possible. We got there at 4:50 to get a bar seat when they opened at 5:00 and there was already a crowd of people waiting. Luckily we got a bar seat, reservations were booked out fully until 5 days later. Food was AMAZING! Atmosphere had a very small town classy feel, it was great. And the service was absolutely top notch. Felt very welcome and appreciated there. Absolutely recommend this experience.

Splendid service, diverse wine list, efficient service without being rushed, impeccable bread, hamachi was fresh, delicious and unique. The Pad Thai was best in class flavor, texture, with duck pieces, skin, jus. The rabbit lasagna was out of this world, throw out your expectations because JCP is no pub, it's not a restaurant, it's a place you go to be blown away while feeling right at home!

Visiting Santa Fe and wanted to stop here. I ordered take out. It was around 5pm on a Sunday before they got busy. I ordered the Duck Confit Pad Thai, duck Fat fries and the Cloud cake. Very good flavors on the Pad Thai. Fries were good. And the cloud cake was light fluffy meringue. Alone not very flavorful but they paired with a couple sauces, some tarragon and grapefruit. So together it's a yummy bite. I also had a drink while I waited concocted by the bartender that was yummy. Little on the pricey side but would go back to try other delicious sounding items on the menu. Also, reservations are highly recommended. Though they were able to fit in some walk-ins.

Joseph's is one of our favorite places in town. The menu is innovative and good, and the restaurant is small and cozy.

What a treat to visit this “pub”. While I wouldn’t say it is a “restaurant for kids” simply because it is fancier and more romantic than many spots in town, the staff could not have been kinder. (Recommend booking for 5pm so you don’t interrupt someone’s date in case your little is a loud one!) They called in advance to confirm use of their high chair. We were in a very cozy back room with attentive and very fast service. The food was delicious and a nice change from the more traditional Santa Fe fare. Though their attention to local ingredients and seasons was obvious. The highlight dish for us was were the polenta sticks with this incredible Gorgonzola sauce that I am still thinking about. Thank you to this team for helping mom and dad enjoy a little “fancy night out” with our daughter!

Our dinner was exceptional from start to finish and can't wait to return. Dishes were creative and perfectly executed. The confit duck pad thai was delicious and the vegetable enchilada was a feast for all the senses. Don't miss this in Santa Fe!

Exceptional food and experience... We stumbled on this gem after being referred by someone at a gallery. We were not disappointed. The food options are varied and inventive. I had the Grilled 6oz Pork Chop Apple Cranberry Chutney, Brussels Sprouts with Preserved Lemon, Point Reyes Blue Cheese & Herb Compound Butter - incredibly delicious. My wife had the watermelon salad and Orange Blossom Tres Leches. The food is inventive, playful and delicious - as good as food elsewhere at 2-3 times the price. Staff is personable, friendly and delightful. We would highly reoommend and intend to return on our next visit to Santa Fe, in fact it is on our 'must' list.

I'm a little upset because I made a reservation at 7pm for 2. We get there and the hostess says that our table is not ready and asked if we minded waiting a bit. Spent well over 200$ on my meal, food and drinks were great, but my date and I couldn't even enjoy it bc the chaos of just getting a table like we reserved. We went for Santa Fe Restaurant week because we haven't tried this (newer) restaurant from Chef Wrede since the old days. He is talented, and the food is good, but I can't recommend it highly due to the over-the-top prices. IOW, good, but I wasn't blown away. Let's not forget this was a restaurant featured on "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives", of which it is none of the above. But then it isn't Sazon or Geronimo's either, but it sure priced in that group. $60 per person for Restaurant week was a 'deal,' and yet I still didn't think the food was worth it. The two appetizers were the best of the lot: Crispy Chicken & Cheese Tamale & Red Chile (one normally $12) was good, I liked that it was crispy, and the red chile was very good in a town filled with great red and green chile. The Christmas Style Chile Beef Tenderloin Stew ($19) was also tasty but not the best in class for NM stews, and man, that's a steep price. The portion was pretty significant. So at this point, I'd go back and order just the appetizers and move on. For the main course, I had a special, which was swordfish. It was a good dish, not excellent, decent size piece of fish. My wife had the Banana Lamb Curry($28), which is also good, but I'd be hard-pressed to recommend it at this price. For dessert, I had the Tiramisu, which I didn't think was that good. Dry, and I've had far better elsewhere (even in my kitchen). Now the Caramel and duck fat ice cream was a real winner! Unusual and superb. I would usually never have ice cream at a restaurant for dessert, but they had me at duck fat, and this really was a winner. The service was outstanding! Matt R and those he worked with were really attentive and well-trained. Anyway, the chef here is good but it isn't tops like Sazon by a mile, and it's not in the expected, affordable experience one would find on Triple D. The place was packed for Restaurant Week, and it was VERY LOUD. So the ambiance isn't fine dining either. If you want a real fine dining (and expensive) experience in Santa Fe, stick with Sazon or maybe Geronimo's.

This was the second time we have eaten here. Last time was last year for Valentine's Day. Last year we had such a great time, the food was absolutely delicious and we talked about it for weeks after. We’ve been to Joseph’s a number of times…and each time the experience goes from stellar to meh, depending. Great salad, meh enchilada. Great lamb burger, meh swordfish. And the tiniest 18.00 pour of wine that I have ever seen. If I had been that server, I would have refused to bring it to the table. We dine out in Santa Fe a ton and last night we had the best dining experience at Joseph’s. The private table in the nook off the main dining room is the best table in town. Joseph’s Pub is a hidden treasure for visitors to Santa Fe. The restaurant has a nice casual vibe to it…It is only a few blocks off the Plaza but located on a short, funky Street (Aqua Fria) that can easily be missed ( although there is ample parking). It is an excellent restaurant known to the locals that is very reasonable ( for Santa Fe). Their lamb dishes ( lamb from the 4 corners region) are excellent as are other dishes on the menu. My only minor critique is that they have managed to have the tiniest martini glasses I have ever seen ( they swear it’s 4 oz.). It’s like drinking out of a thimble…Aside from this quirk I recommend a Joseph’s highly…
