One of my all time favorite candy stores. So fresh and yummy and they let you sample before you buy. Staff is kind and store is clean. Chocolate is addicting 😂

Chocolate Paradise! Nonpareils and Peanut Rolled Eggs are the cornerstone of the Allentown location or at least these items are usually in my bag each time I leave. Freshly made candy from the crunchy and colorful to the standard milk and dark chocolates. If it can be covered in chocolate, it is most likely here - and in a delicious, non-carnival manner. Craftsmanship remains a standard for Josh Early Candies. While price points have gone up, assuming due to the lingering supply chain and labor costs - one needs to budget. You can get treats by the piece or small - but the value and craving satisfaction comes when you buy in pound increments. Don’t sleep on the hard candy offerings including the sesame seed treats. Grab a hand basket and do at least one full loop around the store. Terrific section of fudge, candies, nuts, barks and such. You can build a custom box or bag that can fit most budgets. Pre-made gift sets that include coffee cups, stuffed animals, small planters, and other trinkets are available for purchase for a nice little gift for family, friends or co-workers. Glad to have a Lehigh Valley Tradition still around and doing well.

went in for the first time today. wasnt sure what to expect but the lady was very kind and gave me recommendations. i had a sample of one of her recommendations and loved it. so glad I went

Delicious chocolate. Pleasant, helpful staff. Free, nice gift wrapping. Very popular. Gets crowded around Christmas, Easter and Halloween.

Great store, nice and clean and there was no wait in line. The only problem is there's too much candy to decide which one you want to buy. Also they allowed us to try some samples too and they treated us like family there. It may be a long drive but it's worth it.

When I was a little girl, my father used to give me non pareils in a plastic heart shaped box from this store on his way back to NY from business trips. As a result, this place holds a special place in my heart. As an adult, it’s a beautiful store with a wonderful array of chocolate, candy, and fine toys and accessories. Except for one time when I didn’t have a nice seller (an anomaly, it seems), the women who work there are friendly and will let you taste things. You read that correctly!!!! Samples!!!!! Yay!!! The non pareils come in several kinds of chocolate, all delicious. The other chocolate is tasty also. It’s just a lovely visit and a quality product. Prices are comparable to other specialty stores.

We were passing through on our way home from a trip and debated stopping. I'm glad we stopped.The store is quite large and beautifully laid out. We were able to sample some delicious chocolates. There are so many choices. We finally made some choices to purchase. Can't wait to share these fine chocolates with family.

This place is a Lehigh Valley gem. If you love amazing quality chocolate, this place is for you. It's bright, cheery, beautifully organized. You can grab boxes that are pre-made, or have the friendly staff help you pick out individual chocolates to design your own box. The staff is always very patient, friendly and helpful. AND they gift wrap for free (and they do a beautiful job too!) You have to try their coconut almond joy chocolates. If I purchase them, half the box is gone before I make it home. All their offerings are amazing!

We had a lovely experience here. Drove past the building and thought it looked interesting so I stopped in with my 3 year old. There is a wide selection of all sorts of candies, but mostly chocolates which are made in house. Staff was warmly welcoming and quick to assist us and offer my daughter a sample which she loved. Prices are on the higher end BUT they are higher end chocolates and the staff seems happy so they must be well taken care of. Great business all around.

What’s not to love about this place in the delicious chocolates and candies they have here. They have so much. You can get lost in here and everything smells amazing wish I could’ve bought one of everything ha ha. Had to get the classic nonpareils. How do you not get those from here. This was my first time here and I was blown away by everything they have in the operation they have. The candies are delicious.

"Ooooh, I'm in heaven": exclaim my grandauther when she was 7...I felt that way when I enter and saw allthose goodies. All differents kinds every were,I thougt I was a Child dreaming. The Best was the factory on the back , the face of every person working in there looks like happyly every after. If you don't belive me , I invite you to visite and sea it for yourself ,you won't regreat it. I love that place.

This is the best candy! It’s an important part of our holidays and a weakness of mine! High quality delicious chocolate and great service with online orders. That’s important to me as I live in VA now- do miss visiting the store though, loved going there.

Such a fun place. The smell of chocolate hits you (in the BEST way possible) as soon as you walk through the door. The nonpareils are always on point. Looking forward to trying our Easter candy!

Friendly staff, beautiful Chocolate shop, a little pricey but you need to for the quality. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, stopping in for at least one thing. Perfect place for gift shopping. Amazingly soft stuffed animals, which too are pricey. This place is unique and definitely worth your time.

A friend and I visited Josh Early Candies on March 13th. I had heard wonderful things from a client of mine. I have to say I was Amazed when we walked it. The smell was incredible, everything was neat and clean. The staff was Super helpful and friendly. And the Chocolate was Delicious !! They also have The BEST Jelly Beans. It was so nice that the whole experience was better then I expected. I drove an hour to get there. It was well worth the trip. The is a huge parking lot so no need to worry about parking. We can't wait to go back ! Thank you Josh Early Candies !!

Great smells, good candy they need to off a plastic bowl if asked instead of a plastic bag. Update seriously how can you price a small bowl of nut 19$ seriously I can afford it but never pay that price. They are ridiculous. The amount of customers I ever see at Josh early’s and the amount of employees working there it’s hard to understand if they make any money selling overpriced candies, and nuts

Best chocolates I’ve ever had! Love this place. The PB cups and chocolate covered peanuts are my fave! I now live about 5 hours away from the Allentown Josh Early but they ship their chocolate, so I’m happy that I can still get it. I was recently out in Allentown and got several boxes of chocolate to bring home. It’s always so nice going there and the people are so nice that work there. The store is also so nicely decorated.

Josh Early Candies is one of the best places to purchase candy. I have been buying candy for friends and family for many years from the Allentown location. The qualify of their candy is some of the best you will ever have. The teams of people that work there are very polite and helpful, like the way service use to be years ago. Josh Early Candies is a good old fashioned American business that I hope is around for years to come.

In this shop you will find high quality candy in a beautiful display. The shop is always tidy, clean, well stocked, and attended by friendly and professional staff. Always a pleasure to shop here!

Great place to get holiday treats for friends and family! The staffs are super friendly! Now they included Jelly ants and my daughter loves to visit!

I love stopping in here... The candy is all delicious, they will let you have a sample if you really cannot decide and best of all, the people always treat you like you're an old friend that they are happy to see.

I've been coming to Josh Early Candie's for years for their excellent candies. It's probably the best chocolate that one can get, hands down. About 10 years ago, I moved away from Allentown, but whenever I drop by, I make sure I get an assortment of stuff to share with my friends and family while singing the praises of Josh Early Candies while letting everyone know, that when they drop by Allentown, they MUST go here to buy some chocolate or gummies or anything, because it will be worth every penny. Or that they ought to buy some stuff online for birthday or Christmas gifts and it won't be money wasted. I recently had a friend who flew up from South Carolina to visit and I was telling her that we absolutely needed to visit so that she could try their heavenly chocolates. Unfortunately, she got sick and had to leave early and didn't get to visit. So I promised her that I would send her an assortment of things when I got a chance and yesterday was that chance. When I went to check out, I saw that there were some boxes and figured it would be nice to package them up in a nice Josh Early Box and send them to her, but apparently it's the store policy to "not sell their packaging." and was denied in a deeply gruff manner. I suppose it was quite a boundaried no, and I get it. It's a business and they don't want brand dilution or people sullying the brand by creating assortment boxes and passing it off as counterfeit products. I wasn't asking for tons of boxes, just 1. In hindsight, I would've appreciated an upsell like, "Hey, we don't sell our packaging by store policy, but 5 or 6 truffles from the case gets put into one of those boxes" and I would've gladly obliged and added another $20-30 to my order. But the flat-out denial of the experience left me quite jarred. It's difficult to explain, but the denial felt like it hit on some moral high ground, like, "hah, you're NOT going to get one over us! Store policy RULES!" No lady, I'm not getting one over you. I'm just going to stuff my friend's chocolates in several unsightly ziploc bags and ship them to her instead of the nice box. *rolls eyes* But overall, that whole experience really sullied my desire to go back or recommend the place as enthusiastically as I have been for years. It's not like this review will make much of a dent ever because their staff is generally very friendly and the high quality product sells itself. I'm not going to stop buying the candy here, but it will be a while before my hurt feelings subside and I decide to patronize the store again.

From the moment you walk in the door, you can feel the multi-generational love that has poured into the business for so many years. As a returning customer, I am excited to see my dependable favorites always in stock as well as the new options they have been rolling out lately. Their team is eager to serve in a way that is a rarity in today's world. I always leave with a smile. Their online offerings have made gift giving an easy yet memorable moment!

The chocolate is excellent. The products have gotten steadily more expensive but the quality is worth it. It's a splurge but very tasty.

I love this place. These are arguably some of the best candies made in the state, and I am a frequent customer of the best shops in Philadelphia. The service here is unmatched. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and so helpful. Only thing I wish it was closer to where I live!

Have been buying candy here quite literally my entire life, and it's been fantastic for over 30 years at this point. I hate milk chocolate - except for Josh Early nonpareils. They're simply magical. I get assorted chocolate covered creams every Christmas and it's the only candy I crave anymore. Now I've got my husband hooked on the toasted caramel coconut marshmallows and the chocolate covered gummy bears. Whenever someone asks if I want candy, my answer is only if it's Josh Early.

A really cool candy shop! I love chocolate, and they have more varieties of chocolate than you can imagine. They also have tons of other candy types as well as a wide selection of cute stuffed toys. The staff were super friendly and the place was clean. The candy is generally more on the expensive side, but it's high quality.

Smells great! Very busy and an unexpected treasure. Huge variety of chocolates and candies. Be prepared for sticker shock as it is expensive... Not saying the prices just saying more than many might expect. Easter baskets I saw were $25-$100.

Absolutely delicious chocolate all made on-site, this place is the real world Willy Wonka chocolate factory! The widest array of handmade candies I've ever seen in one place.
